I play on LIVE a fair amount (ok you caught me, more like only always) and in my time spent in match making on Halo 3 via Xbox LIVE during any given game I have come across many players who are more or less rude, mean, and out right Sociopathic. They seem to have no idea that its just a game. I wonder is it all really called for? so I decided to put my thoughts into this blog about the one type of player that I seem to run into more then any other and if you have any comments feel free to share them.

Meet Mr. Hardass he is a tough guy! He don't take no shit from nobody online, and he's probably the biggest and baddest motherfucker you'll ever meet! Well, online, that is. In real life, he's just another scrawny 16-year old who is routinely beat up and forced to drink Toilet water at school. However, as soon as he logs onto his Xbox LIVE account, he instantly becomes one violent and aggressive guy, ready to kick your ass at the slightest provocation. Be warned: he has the ability to hack your account, find your address, hunt you down, and kill you at the drop of a hat! Well, that's what he'll claim at least. In reality, mom probably won't let him drive the family station wagon all the way to your house, so you're fairly safe.

Sociopath: Much like the morons you normally find on Xbox LIVE, the Sociopath is an angry and bitter child who masquerades as a big tough guy who will not hesitate to kick your ass if you look at him the wrong way or try to play the game as it was meant to be played since his objective is to cancel out or stop any fun to be had what so ever. This may seem like a relatively harmless breed of Halo 3 player, but in groups they are capable of inflicting lethal levels of annoyance. The Sociopath hates Halo 3 and everyone who plays it (and everyone who doesn't play it) but he will keep playing the game, simply because it's the only way he can get out his aggression at other people without getting his glasses broken and shoved in his ear.

Signature move: Blasting other players with incredibly callous and witty insults such as "Fag" "Faggot" "Homo" and "Queer".

Strategy: Start insulting him or ignore completely. With any luck, the Sociopath's ensuing screams of rage will wake up his parents in the next room and he'll have to turn the Xbox 360 off and go to sleep.

WARNING!: Do not, and I repeat do not try to use logic to defeat him his mind is a vapid wasteland and confusing him may enrage him even more.
