[here lies the beginning of the journal that no one will read.]

So, Monday was the first day of my 927491275717 hour long art class.

Well, actually, it's only 7 hours. We have an hour for lunch, so it was only 6 if you pick at it. :iconmitchieplz:

Anyway, it was really fun. It could've gone better, but it was okay. The Saturday before that I went to an Italian fair and almost broke my neck by riding on the thing that spins around and goes up and down. So my neck hurt and I couldn't move it back, sideways, or forwards. By the end of the day, my neck, back and shoulders hurt. Other than that, it was fiinnnee.

After I got there, I realized that I couldn't continue my previous still-life. THEY MOVED EVERYTHING AROUND :iconohnoahplz: <-- that was me. I found a new target quickly when my mind started moving again. My teacher got her previous students who were studying at RISD to teach this summer boot camp, so there were 3 people I didn't know. [I'm actually way too shy for my own good]...so I was pretty scared the first day.

Especially after my teacher told me that my current still-life was going as good at my previous one because I hadn't practiced for a month. :iconinvertedohnoesplz::iconinvertedohnoesplz::iconinvertedohnoesplz::iconinvertedohnoesplz:
But I kept on it and finished it today! It seems absurdly fast...but I calculated it. 2 days = 12 hours. Since my regular lessons were 2 hrs every week...then this would've taken me 6 weeks in normal time.

I really wish I could show you guys my still-lifes!!! But they were taken hostage by my teacher and put up on her bulletin board [of fame]:iconlarryseeswhatyoudid:

But I will reclaim it [that board is running out of room...] and try to take good pictures of it soon! During lunch, a bunch of the others had laptops [for their portfolio pics] and we all got to watch Totoro!!! IT WAS SO CUTE WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE :iconomgsocuteplz::iconomgsocuteplz::iconomgsocuteplz::iconomgsocuteplz::iconomgsocuteplz:

PS. that's also why I won't be updating for a while. classes are from 9 to 4. After I get home at 4:45, I have work for 2 hrs and then all that other stuff. Maybe I'll post more sketches. Possibly fanart :iconcanyouhearthebass:

As you have noticed - my featured deviation thing is gone.
Why?
Because I wanted to change the image.
That should be easy, right?
No.
First, it didn't let me because "there were newer settings found on the server."
Hmmm.
So I deleted the module and added it back on.
BIG FAIL.
Now it will not recognize ANY of my drawings.
It says: "You have chosen a deviation that does not belong to you or does not exist."
Fail, dA. FAIL.

How has the school year been so far???
Have you learned anything new? Made new friends/enemies??

Now that I look back, I feel as if I've wasted my freshman year. Only one more year until I take the SATs!!! I'm not even close to preparing for them. Here's a lesson that I have to learn; give in your 120% for everything & stop procrastinating. I hope that I'll learn that over the summer so Biology class won't catch me unawares. I heard through the grapevine that sophomore year is grueling, but Junior year will be a hundred times worse.

I'm pondering whether or not to take a summer job for these few months. It's a job to make video tutorials for a company that my mom's job has a contract with. I would make a lot of money [around $5000], but it seems really hard since I have to learn the whole program. And it means that I have to work at least 4-5 hrs on it everyday. :( :( On a deadline too...I'm not very good at deadlines, if you haven't noticed by now.

I'm looking forward to Brooklyn music camp that my church is doing. I get to stay there for a whole week and rule over my little tribe of kids!!! It's going to be so fun!!

Is anyone planning on going to NYC on the 21st??? There's a chance that I might make it, if they stay long enough. :)

p.s. I just finished re-reading Hikaru no Go & now I'm watching the anime w/ English subs. Has anyone heard of it??? It's one of Takeshi Obata's earlier works. It's probably my favorite manga & anime, even more than Naruto. :)

I walked home from school today.

Well, I live a mile or two away from the school. I have to cross a couple highways and big roads with no sidewalks. It was hilarious, running across them screaming with my friends.

Still, it took a whole hour. My friends are probably being yelled at as I type. :)

here's my to do list for devART:

- finish the 320571085 WIPs in my computer
- edit/draw sth. new to put on the header/footer of this here journal
- stop drawing stupid profile-like things
- start practicing action shots/weird angles
- update more often
- stop being more lazy
- start being more friendly
- stop being hypocritical & read other ppls journals so I have a reason to get mad when ppl don't read mine

It's not as much as I imagined.
Oh yeah, my flu is much better thank you very much.
Apparently the first person who got it had swine flu,
but everyone else got flu from him.
So I was safe.

I still have a whole WEEK of school to make up though.
But I have some huge readjusting to do
and I just might just force myself to CG for an hour or so every day.

I got back from Quest for Life, a christian retreat I go to.
it was really really really fun and all.
then i got back.
and got a fever.
and a cough.
and a headache.
and heard that there had been a suspected swine flu outbreak in the youth group at quest.
so now i might have swine flu.

on top of that
i got a progress [deficiency]report from school
for missing 2 hws in English.
i cried so hard.

hm
and now I have been confused with someone named nicole.
that's weird.
i feel like the world is about to collapse on me.

Hmm, the church I go to had an event called the 30 Hour Famine [here's the official website=> [link] ] and it was really fun. ~wanderingbutterfly went with me & a bunch of our friends from youth group did it too. So basically...we starved for 30 hours [from 10AM on Friday to 4:30PM Sat...so sorta like 31 hours]. I couldn't take it & ate a bit on Friday. We stayed overnight at church and did community service the whole day on Saturday.

FRIDAY NIGHT:

We [about 70 ppl] played a game called "Food Grab" where each team blindfolded one member and sent them out into the middle of the circle to find an item of food [orange, water or rice]. The one who grabs it first wins. My team won!!! It's a good thing we did too, 'cause Jeff [the coordinator] said all the ppl who won could use sleeping bags for the night & the ones who lost had to sleep w/o them. We slept on these fluffy chairs anyway, so it was alright. :)

SATURDAY

My group went to Feed the Children to package hygiene products for Katrina victims [??] and then we came back to help the guys shovel mulch. Then we pretty much conked out for the day b/c we had no more energy. Some ppl put out their sleeping bags & sunbathed in the 92 degree sun.

I got tan. :(
