most of the time was spent in El Prado of course... / Rubens stole my senses while Velazquez gave me the final stab in ze ribs.... whoa
i got immense overdose of fine art ... luvs it
and the weather was great .... everybody kept moaning that it would be too hot but compared to dampness and humid heat of the south coast it was just perfect

oh my god... i never knew how much i missed starbucks
and proper cheesecake
im tellin u spanish dont know much about doing good pastries
i think i walked about 50 km in 3 days... not bad
and im fully rested

wow... well the contest took place a year ago, so ive totally forgot about it and promised prize for it was to print the winning photos in the next issue...
well turns out my prize is weekend in madrid for two
it couldnt come at a better time ive been wishing for it for a long time and im dying to see museo del prado
so yes im a super happy bunny right now and im going next weekend!!!!

Reasons in nutshell: was never really welcomed, each thing being discussed at the meetings was either too boring or too slow for me,real critique was never welcomed or encouraged only thing u could do is tell each other how wonderful your pictures are even if they are absolutely horrid and lack focus.
Looking at other members falling asleep in their chair was about the most entertaining thing of all - but is that enough to keep me participating? Im afraid not.
There was always talk about organizing a club exhibition but that never seemed to happen.
Lets forward now yet another year.... Im working in one of the local clothing shops part time just to keep some steady money coming in. One morning ( read today) as im opening the shop, i see a huge banner being raised cross the road at one the town hall building walls. To my surprise i recognize one of my photos on the design of the banner ( it was made up of 6 different photos). Apparently Costa Cameraclub has finally gotten its act together and open an exhibition.
however why was my photo embellishing theyre banner and without my knowledge or permission is beyond me.
Am i over reacting or do i have a right to be feeling robbed and pissed off?
