I sat in front of the TV, happily eating my dinner (a takeway in the form of duck and hoi-sin sauce) watching the local news. I often do this, not always with takeaway, but both ITV's Central News and the BBC's East midlands today on the box, catching up with the days news. Well, when there is some. They are both heavily weighted towards Nottingham, because mainly, the only news is bad news and Nottingham has plenty of that.
But what about my city? We only get mentioned if the news is REALLY bad, or for those light hearted, but usually pointless stories - where is the real Leicester? What is past the statistics and the false media view?
I decided some time ago i'd try and create a photo journal, but I never knew the subject; now I do. I hope to show Leicester, warts and all, on these fine deviant art pages.
