It's that time again... and to be honest I really don't spend a lot of time on DA anymore. I check it about once a week to find new images for my iPhone. It's sad. I know.

Well the good news... I'm still taking pictures. I tried to walk away from photography for a bit so I could focus more on film and all of these jobs popped up. So far I've shot a wedding and a rock show. Scheduled to shoot 2 models and maybe a fashion line. I'm never busy when I want to be. I should just enjoy it.

I'll probably post a few pics from Carolina Beach and the rock show. I don't seem to have a lot of time on my hands. I'm too busy at work and I waste too much time on Facebook. Plus I've lost touch with the creative design stuff. I need some inspiration.

"The American dream is not to make everyone level with everyone else. But to create the opportunity for all people to reach as high as their God given potential allows." -- Jack Kemp

Life is not about keeping up with the Johnson's. I can't do what most of you do. I'm not that talented and it would take me forever to become that good. So I'm going to do me and be involved in it as much as I WANT to be. If I'm not making art for myself... then I have lost it or I'm getting paid.

PS> If you have a moment check out DA artist Lora8, her stuff is amazing!

Okay, so I've been dragging my feet. It took me six months to reach just over 6000 and I haven't really posted new stuff. Oh God, where have I been? I've taken many photos and worked on new things, but I haven't really posted anything. (sigh)

Anyways... here's the update...

1. I've printed three pieces of my Graffiti Pencil artwork and I'm having them shown at the Artomatic this year. I spent a lot of money to do this but I'm glad to be contributing to the largest art community project in Washington DC. My spot is on the 7th floor next to the metal lion statue. You can't miss it. [link]

2. I'm doing more side work which isn't really creative enough to post on dA. Don't worry, I'm kind of working on an official website which will host my latest work. But seriously I'm about to quit the graphic design stuff and stick with photography as my only side gig. I just don't have time these days to do both.

3. The thing that is taking up most of my time... is film making and its kind of two fold. One, is a script I'm writing about the end of the world (sort of). It's been hours and hours of brainstorming. It's going to be good. The second, is my thesis film, The Blind Photographer. It's a huge project with great potential. I'm looking for investors, message me and I'll send you a summary.

Well these days seem to be too short and my energy is lacking. I need to be inspired. I need to be self driven. I need to relax. That is when my favorite art is born. Story is King.

Oh, I'm on Twitter now too. [link]

So I caved in and bought a 1 year subscription to dA. I will tell you why... because I'm showing my work in a gallery. Well sort of. It's an artist community gallery called the Artomatic and I get an 8'x8' space all to myself! So I'm printing wrapped canvas of my graffiti stuff and I'm hanging three pieces. NOW... if you have ever had bad experiences with dA's canvas... please let me know. It's expensive and I don't feel like getting shafted last minute.

Anyways... I'm sorry if I haven't posted any new material (including on my stock account.) I've been busy. If you really want to track me. Subscribe to my blog or check out my Flickr or ModelMayhem profiles. I seem to post new things there first.

More Graffiti Pencil to come! I'm feeling inspired, so I'm just going to do it. Fawk what they say.

So what's new with you?

Reached another goal and thanks everyone for a great year. I've been pushing myself to post more often and even try to sell my artwork on deviantART. Your kind words and favs keep me going and I will always try to share the love.

Well here are some artist you should watch that I found in 2008, check them out:

So what does 2009 hold for me? Hopefully another DD (on this account). I'll be working on a few independent films. Maybe I'll post some stills here. More model photography and more graphic art (aka Graffiti Pencil). I might be creating a personal website for my work too. I need to start marketing myself. The day job pays for everything but I need to make some passive income from my other skills.

I mean I can't really complain. I'm doing more and I'm getting better at it. Life is good. Plus the gf will be in Spain for 4 months, which should give me a hell of lot more free time.

Also I might be visiting Spain in March. Plus I'm renting out my studio apartment for $2000 during Obama's inauguration. I live in DC right next to the metro. It's going to be insane and I will be down at the mall for all of it. Let me know if you are interested in renting or want to join my photographers group for the inauguration. Sometimes living in the nation's capitol pays off.

Stay true to yourself. Peace & Love.

First off let me thank everyone who has visited my profile in the last 3 months. I've reached 4000 today and this year has been a time of growth not only on deviantArt (and other websites) but in my artistic style as well. I appreciate the love and have received so many nice comments that if I could blush... I would.

ART UPDATES GALORE!!

1.) I got my first DD! I was so happy that I was dancing around my office. Granted it was my stock account but still its such a wonderful achievement. Thanks Hanratty-Stock. [link]

2.) So I bought a light kit and I'm shooting more model photography. I've met some cool people and great photo retouchers who are worth every penny. NO PHOTO ever published in a magazine is not retouched. Its a digital world and I'm not ashamed. I'm a video editor and I know what goes into making something look real. Its about being professional and even when I look at the before/after photos... I can see that you need a strong base to make a great photo AND THAT'S THE SECRET.

3.) I'm going to start selling my stock photography on stock websites soon. I've been applying and reading the rules but seriously my camera cost me WAY too much to not use it to make some dough. Plus I think its easier then it looks.

4.) I'm design clothes (again) and other merchandise to sell online. Yes... the market is down and though this year's Holiday sales will be low, I'm going to do it anyway. The point is. I'm tired of buying t-shirts and stuff that I really don't love. So I'm making my own stuff for me first and then I'm selling it online. I'll post the store link later, but only buy if you LOVE it.

Well that's all for now. Keep inspiring me! Peace & Love.

PS> You can follow me on my blog (if you want to stay up to date): [link]

I hope all is well with you.

I'm sorry I haven't been updating as frequently as I should be but work is picking up so I've been too busy. (Not cool, bro. Not cool.) Yet I 've been taking a lot more pictures and I do have some stuff I want to post. I just need to organize it. So for the next month expect a lot more photography cause I'm going to stretch it out instead of posting everything at once. Most of the photos will be from my vacation to the beach and I do have some from recent models I've worked with.

As for the graphic design. I do have two that are currently in the works (they take a lot of time to do) PLUS I start a new collage tomorrow. I'll post a picture of the finished one. Remember they take a year to do! SO please mail me stickers that you don't want or find and I'll probably use it in my next piece. Email me and I'll tell you where to send them.

One love. Stay cool and drink lots of water.

I'm sure most of my views are not due to my mad art skills but to the fact that I leave a lot of comments telling people how talented they are. (Its important believe me) But thank you all for returning the love.

So a quick update. Tonight is day 2 of working as a nightlife event photographer. I'm the annoying guy in the club that walks around and takes everybody's picture and believe me...its not easy. Hopefully I will actually be able to post some good stuff here. (The photos really are not that creative) Also...I've been trying to shoot more with models I meet on Model Mayhem ([link]) but nothing has happened yet. Plus the mixed media collaborations I started working on have been a complete stand still for months. I really hope to get the ball moving again, because I thought we came up something great. Anyways...let me know if you want to collaborate, otherwise keep impressing me with your beautiful work. ART SPEAKS!

Mostly flowers, street life and still life, but I'm looking to shoot more with models. I just finished a photo book project for my Fine Arts class called RED. It's my spin on the fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood" and I will post a few photos. It's hot so I'm hoping for a DD soon.

In the meantime I'll keep shooting and continue my courtship with art.

So 2007 was a great year and 2008 looks to be a better one. I only update like every 3 months so I felt it was about time.

I've been doing a lot more graphic art stuff so I will try and always post something here. I started creating little photoshop'd art pieces to go with my blog. Most of the images are stolen so I kind of feel bad about posting them here but its more as a tool to keep my skills fresh then anything else. Besides you shouldn't steal only borrow.

You should also expect more stock images in sets of 3 to be posted this month. I usually only shoot stock images for my own stuff but its time to share the love. Most of them are from past projects so you may recognize them. I bought new swords so hopefully more "black ninja" pics are on the way.

Currently I'm still editing a few new videos. I have some promo art for them as well. I'll post that later. It's kind of fun creating posters and flyers for your film. It really does add to the story.

Well keep making art and if anyone wants to collaborate on a project. Please let me know.

Last weekend I borrow a very decent camera from a guy I'm designing t-shirts for. I carried it around with me for 4 days. I forgot how much I love photography and that its not something you just fall into. You kind of have to pull out the grease and get dirty. Re build that quickness and pride that allows you to take pictures of complete strangers and homeless people.

Well I've decided to post the pictures. I won't upload them all at once so I can stretch it out over a couple of weeks.

I'll probably borrow it again another time. He doesn't use it very much. Just had the money to buy a nice camera so he did. Life seems to work like this most of the time anyway.

Thanks Prince.

I'm not dead. I'm alive. I've just been busy with video since I work as an editor and my digital camera is almost useless. I still browse deviant time to time for inspiration so keep posting!

I'll try and post more often honestly, since I may be taking more photos for my part time job. How exciting! I said this was my break out year and I meant it.

Well I have some new photos I may put up from a recent photoshoot. We shall see since the first one I posted is the best photo from the bunch.
So I'll get my laughs in now since 5,000 seems to far away. I don't post enough to credit anything, but I think I may have some recent work I could post. I'll have to look through iPhoto. These days I just don't have the time and I've been focusing on editing video and film and I don't think you can post videos on deviantART. Anyway.
Nowhere.

I've got three jobs now.

Day job. 9-5. Georgetown Post. I'm the 2nd editor to the head editor Steve. Pretty much a great spot for a kid like me. I'm still learning how the office works soon hopefully I will be working on my own projects. That's when things will get crazy. If I stay here and edit for a couple of years I might be able to change jobs and go to Discovery, National Geographic or MTV. Its a great stepping stone and brilliant place to network.

Job 2. Primerica. I'm in training to be a Financial Broker. Its a lot of work, but I'm learning so much about finances that I know its going to help in life. Its suppose to be 8-10 hours a week. I feel like its more. This job is a stretch for me, but its a valuable experience.

Job 3. Freelancing and starting up my design company Arrowhouse Media. Its kind of sweet. I guess this could be the right thing for me, if I push hard enough. We have some clients now and are working on a few projects. Anything I do art wise now will probably be through Arrowhouse so it won't get posted here. I'm trying to enlarge our client base, because there is a chance we may get to partner up with a production group. Also check out our deviatART site: Arrowhouse Media

I've been feeling down this morning. So I thought it was time to write. I'll get something up soon. I promise.

Okay...so time for the update.

Today I graduated from college. I am no longer an art student. I have a BA in Film and Media Art (with a minor in cinema studies). Though I am coming back to AU for grad school, I feel college has ended. Truely ended. All I got are some memories, close friends and drinking problem. (Also a piece of paper with my name on it.)

So whats next? I don't know. A job, a car and a place to live. I'm going to finish grad in a year so I'm sure to be in DC for a while doing this thing called art.

I've been looking into buying a new digital camera. Something I could use for photography that once cost me my arms and legs. Any ideas?

I do want to travel this summer. NJ and MI. We will see if I have time. This job hunting thing isn't as easy as I thought.

I miss my friends. I miss my girlfriend. (though she dumped me) Life after college is weird. I don't think it really starts until you get settled in. I wonder how long that is going to take.

Well for the next couple of weeks, expect some new art from me cause I have alot of free time. I just need to get artsy. You know, that lovin feeling.

Until then... Peace.

PS> On a good note I actually may be doing a swimsuit photoshoot for a calendar. That would be awesome if I get the job. I can do it, I just need that damn camera.

Headed back to school tomorrow for my last semester.

A couple of things can happen. I will post alot of new work or I will post nothing. Not sure yet what is more likely to happen, but I will say this break has been relaxing and I spent so much time with the family. I was able to pull out some great photos which I think will go unnoticed because they do not involve anime or nudity. Kinda sucks, but sex does sell.

Funny thing is I think I'm starting to get this deviantART thing down. Made it to 500! Haha....someone please buy me a beer. Cheers to a great new year!

Also yeah, I've been trying to do some more work with models so I've asked my friends and even tried to used ModelMayhem but got rejected! So if there are any models willing to shoot for the sake of art and you are in DC....let me know...this photographer got a fever and the only cure is a model photoshoot.
Until then. Peace.
Expect more digital work from me, even some designing. I don't know why, I just feel like it. Maybe deviantART should add a music section because I've been recording some stuff lately too.
Is it just me or there needs to be more catergories for "artistic nude?" I too love the human form and have been impressed here and there with the many ways it can be shot, but some people are obsessed with themselves and I am left to have to shift through page after page of junk just to find ONE artistic photo! I suggest more catergories such as... Erotica, Semi Erotica, Artistic Nude, B&W Nude, Male Body and Female Body. I think people could understand what fits in what catergory, that way what we may be looking for at the time can easily be found.

Okay so this morning rocked. I love this camera. Its a Canon EOS 10D with a sweet lense.

I really got some good ones. I'll be posting them slowly over the next days. I don't really like dumping alot of things on deviant, especially since you can only go one at a time.

Well Enjoy.
