Haven't really done much with my DA account.

But I'll start up again.

Gonna go through all the old nonsense, so if you get a comment about something you did four months ago, DEAL, lol. It's new to me.


Been busy. Pride and Prejudice ate a lot of time, and so does the improv troupe... Plus West Side Story rehearsals....

Yeah.


So a lot's happened.

I've taken up playwriting (on top of poetry and fiction, haha). My friend Cameron and I cowrote a 10 minute play and sent it in for Thespian Conference. They picked our play and two others to be read at conference out of like, 20 across the state. One of the others sucked, the other one was actually really good. We didn't win, but we for sure got second, if there ever were such a prize.

So I'm writing another One Act to direct later this year. Should be fun.


Ummm.... Work's killer as, usual.

Scholarship apps are a major joy.

And I think that sums up my life pretty well.

Oh, and I saw Spring Awakening.

Greatest. Fucking. Musical. Ever.


I loved it. They signed my script.


And I recently got into this band called Vampire Weekend. Awesome stuff.

We had auditions for Pride and Prejudice. After last year, I gradually became fascinated with the world of theatre and acting, and now I'm totally in love with it. So this being my last year of high school, I wanted to make the most of it.

Didn't really care for the play selection, Pride and Prejudice, but I'm like, what the hell, I just wanna perform. So I picked a monologue from an actual play this time, and a month ahead as well. I read the play several times over, got into character, and developed a whole story for the character. My monologue became pretty fan-fucking-tastic.


Now, we're all artists here, so I'm sure you all enjoy irony. Here's some delicious irony to make you giggle.

*signal drum roll*

I auditioned for my first play last year, being unsure and unskilled, and landed a pretty large role for a first role, because I was asian. WeLLLLLLLLLLL. Now that I'm in love with theatre, experienced (at least a litle more), and prepared, I can't get a role because I'm asian.

*commence ironic laugh track here*


It's really quite beautiful actually.


So basically I tried out, nailed my audition, and got screwed over and landed a 15 line part, four lines which are one word, three of which are 'eh?' because my character is apparently deaf. But I wanted to give our direct the benefit of the doubt, right? Cuz I hate judging people without talking to them first. So I go up to her and ask her what I could do to better my monologue/audition. I figure that if I really had just gotten a big head and really wasn't all that good, then it was just my fault and all I would have to do would be to work harder next time.

Basically, her words were something like, "The only reason I couldn't give you a major role, is because people have it engrained in their minds that these characters are English."

*Cue bitch slap*

Dayummnnnn.

It was pretty awesome


that a monologue that I prepared for a month and nailed would matter little to a white guy who memorized their monologue that night prior.

*start laugh track*


It's really quite fabulous, and quite beautiful in it's irony. I'm so lucky that I get to actually experience real-life irony to such depth.

Recap:

Friday: School lets out. Graduation party at Jackson's, followed immediately by a party at Jameson's... Spent the night, got home at about 12 on Saturday.

Saturday: Got home from Jameson's, slept till about 4

Sunday: Church + Sunday School, cleaned up the house.

Monday: Job interview, followed by Grad Party at Tori's, then I went with Callie, Casey, Jameson, and Paul to Desert Ridge... Painted pottery at As You Wish and caught dinner at CPK. Went home with Jameson and spent the night.

Tuesday: Watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with Jameson (Which is a wicked good movie), listened to Arichtecture in Helsinki (my current obsession), and then some TV before bed. went home at like, 12. Went to karate and Sparring for the first time in six months... Talked to Jameson on the phone until like, 2 am, lol

Wednesday: Played Mario Kart Wii (which I rented, and is pretty good, not quite as good as Double Dash, but good) on wiFi with Jameson for like, an hour. Went to Youth Group for the first time in like, six months too, lol....

Thursday: Ate a shitload of ice cream in the morning. Went out to DR to hang, and then caught dinner at Sweet Tomatoes with Callie, Casey, and Jameson. Picked up our pottery (my vase turned out pretty bomb), went to Casey's dance studio, and then I brough Jameson home with me to spend the night. Played Mario Kart Wii some and other things.

Friday: Spent the majority of the EARLY morning having a diss battle on MySpace. Jameson was on my laptop, I was on my mom's computer, and we were all going at it with Tori, Casey, Paul, and Mike for like an hour, lol. Harmless banter. then I spent like, 2:30 until 3:30 helping Jameson treat his nasty sunburn he got all over (poor kid's from California. Went out into the sun with low SPF to get a tan and fell asleep for an hour... Never stood a chance. XD) and that was oodles of fun. I went to Karate that night, and landed my first backhand spring/ walk over, which made me feel accomplished, lol

Saturday: Spent pretty much all day hanging out with Rachel, Travis, Michelle, Betthany, and a bajillion (not really) of Michelle's Asian buddddies. Hung around Desert Ridge, caught lunch at Sweet Tomatoes, and then Travis, Betthany and I went to see Baby Mama (Which is hella funny. Definitely worth watching for entertainment's sake). Then I went shopping to pick up some things I'd need for work and whatnot. Got home, and crashed.

Sunday: Sunday school, church, blahblah. Had evaluation for Black Belts in sparring today, which lasted a good deal of time. I'm getting promoted as soon as I make it to eight more classes, lol.



Maaaaaaaan. tooooo busy. And next week, I'll be starting woooork.

Hmm... So I haven't had much time to work on poetry or artwork... I started to right a song... The good news is, is that if this song falls through too, it'll work well as a poem.

But on to the IMPORTANT issue.


This week is/was Thespian Initiation week... Well, in the cases of those who watch me and aren't from my school, basically, initiates have to do what the Thespians tell them. So it's potentially embarassing, and a whole lot of fun.... So far, I've had to wear a Disney cape and chick sunglasses, and do a little hop and say "I'm a pretty little Asian girl!" And then today I had to wear a dress and fairy wings and do a little elephant imitation everytime someone said my name.

People enjoy watching me, I get a kick out of acting crazy and being allowed to, and the thespians enjoy their momentary power.


But some fucktard had to ruin it all.


Maaaaaaan. If you don't want to do what the thespians tell you, then you DON'T HAVE TOO. You can be a sore initiate if you want, that's fine.


But some freaking retard had to spoil it for everyone else. So, for my lovely story, this boy will be named Jude, partly because I was reading about Across the Universe an hour ago, and for other reasons as well....



So this Jude kid is this crybaby emo who can't get over himself and has to be an emotional wreck every moment of his life. He can't get over the fact that he's gay (no offense to gay people at all, really! but don't be like this kid) and so he feels that since he's gay that some people dislike him, and so he cries. Well, Thespian Initation week arrives, and a couple thespians ask him to do something. He replies no. They ask once more in a joking, playful manner. He sternly replies no, and storms away. Where does he end up? In the counselor's office, where he bawls and cries to the counselor about all the awful stuff that they're trying to make him do (which he didn't even do, nor did he had to!) Now, it just so happens, that his counselor is (fake name) Mrs. Shubabawopdop, and she's a new counselor this year. So Mrs. Shubabawopdop freaks out and thinks that if this kid is driven to the point of tears, they must've made him actually do something really bad! (which they didn't) and so she winds up with this crying emo in her office, has little or no idea about Thespian Initiation week, and calls up Mrs. Garvin (Actual name) and says that the week has to stop immediately. Which it does.

End of story.



Sorry for the rant, but I'm just a little irritated that someone thought it was alright to spoil the fun for everyone else. Jude didn't have to do what the thespians asked if he didn't want to! And he didn't! But that doesn't give him a reason to cry! What's he to cry about, "Ohmygod, they /tried/ to make me to do this!" Now everyone's pissed at him, and their pessimism is really rubbing off on me. Which is completely understandable, since the Thespians went through initiation last year, and it's their privilege to put the initiates through the same thing.

The reason the title of this journal is "Rest In Peace: Blue Star" is because Garvin's getting rid of the majority of drama backstage traditions, like doing blue stars and chanting warriors, and everything extra added at the end of Red Leather/Yellow Leather. She wants us to come up with new stuff, but it's still sad that we're getting rid of the traditions I started with..... I got the second-to-last blue star ever though.


So today was the last night of One Acts. I got to the FAC at about 4:30 for a Junior meeting so that we could plan Senior Night for the Seniors in drama club.... So I stayed all the way through until it was time for me to usher before the shows, then I stayed for the One Acts.... Cleaned backstage, and then went to the cast party, where I jumped on the trampoline for at least ten minutes.

Anyway, Thespian Initiation is next week, which is sure to be a blast, lol.... I still have to come up with my little thespian shpeal which I have to memorize and recite every time someone asks me what a thespian is~~~


Also, a couple days ago, the community arts magazine, ArtzBeat came out.... The students of the journalism class write a whole bunch of articles for it, and the magazine was publishing its second article from me... But they freaking manipulated my article. D:< They rearranged some paragraphs in it, and so that the first quote in the article is floating around without any attribution. -_- Then they changed, for no reason, the number of people I said were in the Charlie Brown play.... Originally, there were 9 in the ensemble, but for some reason, they said there were 3.... Which is retarded....

lol, I'm not the only one though.... They printed Alicia's unedited rough draft, which printed the sentence, "Junior/Senior (What year is he?) Michael...." XDD It was hilarious.


And I'm still listening to Spring Awakening, the brilliant soundtrack it is.

Well, at least this semester.


Fiiiiinally, senior one acts are over.... Well, my week is.

Performances went by fabulously.... Play was abstract, and I didn't think many teens got it, but the play was good.


We're almost done laying out the lit mag, so no more staying on Fridays until 6:30....

Anyway, so I'll finally have time on my hands again.... Weird.... It's just a strange feeling. XD


Ah, I just downloaded the Spring Awakening soundtrack.....

And it is beautiful. XD


Not even kidding, the music is fantastic, and the lyrics are poetic. Usually. XD They have a few wilder songs, but it makes it all the more fun. You guys should check it out.

I recommend "The Bitch of Living", "There Once Was a Pirate", "Totally Fucked", "The Mirror-Blue Night", "Don't do Sadness/ Blue Wind", "My Junk", and "The Song of Purple Summer".

I've listened to the soundtrack pretty much nonstop.

Friday, following school was rehearsal for our Senior One Act, The Sandbox, at the Fine Arts Center. Rehearsal was fabulous, and it went until ..... 3:30. Afterwards, I walked back to school so I could work on the Literary Magazine (which will be FABULOUS this year). Ahhhh, we worked on the magazine till 6, and we didn't quite finish.... But we stopped for then, and I walked back to the Fine Arts Center to meet my friend, where we sat, ate Carl's Jr., and talked for an hour, lol. Then we went to the IMPROV SHOW! And it was AMAzing..... ahhhh......


Saturday, Prom day!

Woke up at, what 7:45, got ready, and then left for piano lessons. Got back at about 11:45, when I ate lunch. Left at 12:45 to go do some community service at the library, which went from 1-4..... Went home, and got ready for prom in about half an hour.

Then it pretty much went uphill from there.

Met at Casey's at 5:45, took pictures, and then rocked out in our BAMF party techno limo/bus. Ate at The Old Spaghetti Factory, and then went to Prom. Danced our ASSES and LEGS off. It was ridiculous.

Left prom at about midnight and drove back to Casey's, from there half of our group went to Jameson's for the freaking after party.

Which was bomb.

We didn't sleep. Most of us, anyway. Like, five people went to bed, so we decided to leave them at the house and go to the Good Egg for breakfast at 7 am. The party pretty much ended with breakfast at the Good Egg, but a few of us went back to Jameson's, where we finally got some sleep, lol.... Lucky me, I got two hours. XD

And now I have homework and relatives to deal with. The joy!

I'm such a Heroes nerd.

Got back from New York last night. Slept until about 1 today, lol. Preeeeetty exhausted.


Man the trip was CRAZY


We got up Tuesday morning and went to the airport, got on the plane, and arrived at about 8 in New York time. Had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe~~~~ Atmosphere was awesome, though I was an idiot and didn't bring my camera along that first night. D:<

Btw, how tourist is this: We lack a digital camera, so we bought two disposable ones.


Wednesday, we woke up fine and dandy, and went to the convention..... learned a loooooot. I got to meet John Hampson, since he taught a course. He's that guy in Nine Days and wrote that song I'm sure everyone has heard on the radio: Absolutely (Story of a Girl). You know, the one that goes like: "This is the story of a girl, who cried a river and drowned the whole world. And while she looks so sad in photographs, I absolutely love her. When she smiles~~~"

Riiiiiight? Anyway, I got a picture with him and his autograph.

Thuuuuursday, woke up on time and back to the convention. Learned SO much about the first amendment and student rights and whatnot. It was fantastic. We also went, for lunch, to this little pizza place that sold single slices of pizza that friggin dwarfs the size of your head. It's like three or four costco pieces put into one. Seriously. It was GInormous.

And we had the beeeeest cheesecake ever that night at a restaraunt. I'm not even joking. Forget Cheesecake factory, this had the best cheesecake eeeeever.


After, we freaking went to see Avenue Q!~~~ It was AMAzing. Funniest freaking show like, ever. I got pictures with a few of the actors and actresses, and I got all their autographs except one. It was BOMB. Just disappointed that we didn't get to go to the Broadway store, since it was closed by the time we got there....


Friday, we were awed by the award winning high school newspapers and magazines. Design-wise, our literary magazine is comparable to an award winning MIDDLE SCHOOL mag. -_- But we learned so much about layout that we're eager to try~~~ if only not for the lack of funds, lol.

We walked freaking everywhere. Visited the MoMA, Greenwich village (got my fortune told, btw), So-ho, Rockfeller Center, Chinatown, NBC store and freaking everywhere. man, we did soooo much walking.


And Ryan brought his wii, so we played Super Smash Bros. Brawl pretty much every night.

Also, twice, we woke up right before we were supposed to meet. On Friday, we were supposed to be down by 9, and we woke up at 8:55. lol, we made it. On Saturday, we woke up at 9:45 when we were supposed to be down by 10.

We didn't make that one, lol


Maaaaan, so much more happened~~~ We explored the hotel and freaked ourselves out. We went to a restaraunt that had a ride that brought you to 'Mars', we took the Circleline tour... and the metro, countless times.....

A bit sick; my throat's giving out.

Man, this last week has been CRAZY


On Friday, show day, it started with school, of course. After school I went on a little date, and immediately after that was call for the show. Of course, that didn't end until 10, and then afterwards we continued the tradition of going to Denny's.... So I got home at 12, and promptly slept after removing the stage makeup.....

Saturday, couldn't even sleep in, so I got up at 7:30 so we could get ready for piano lessons.... Went to piano lessons, picked up lunch, at when straight back to the FAC for the second to last performance with call at 12..... Did two shows in a row, and played like a billion games of go backstage with Cameron. Finished at 10, then teardown by 11.

Show went fantastically, btw.

Cast party immediately after. We watched this funny-ass video that Casey put together.... Then me, Cameron, Jameson, and TJ left at about 11:45 to pick up something we've been planning forEVER

Total nerd, we went to the midnight released and bought a copy. Then TJ dropped me and Cameron off and Jameson's and the three of us played for about four hours before sleeping for two hours and then playing another three. Needless to say, I was very tired Sunday.

Monday, no energy, but I had to work on my monologue.

Tuesday, one act tryouts. I must say, I feel like I nailed my audition.... Anyway, got cast in Alex's one act

Wednesday was a half day.... Casey, Callie, Tori, Jameson, Cameron and I went to PV mall.... Ate at Islands', took a picture with the easter bunny, lol. Jameson and Cameron came over to my house and we BRAWLed it out. XD

Man, life has been CRAZY

We've seen each other for like, five hours a day for like the past two, three weeks......

Blah, now I want to rehearse or something with them.....


So tired of school and work and whatnot......



Good news is, only 3 more performances to go! We've already done 7 for a good 2000 some people..........

Yay, 3000!

*Been to the Year 3000.....*

So we had our first Tech rehearsal yesterday.... We put together song+dance with complete band+lights/sound for the first time.....

One word

DISASTER~~

lol. Seriously, it sucked. Not only were our singing and dance a little off because of the complete orchestra now, the light cues were all weird and the stage was too dark to rearrange the set appropriately at times. And the blocks.... OH GOD, LMAO


Mrs. Garvin, the director, thought it'd be cute if we had the set constructed out of giant 'building blocks' too help set the tone of having a children as the main characters.... and so we rearrange the blocks differently to form different pieces of furniture and structures.... Three weeks, and still NO ONE KNEW WHERE THE BLOCKS WENT OR WHEN TO MOVE THEM.

LMAO. It was a disaster.



BUUUUUT


Today, it was ridiculous. It went almost PERFECTLY. Lol

Seriously, no joke. We missed one block structure by a little, and a couple dance moves here and there were mixed up just by individuals, but otherwise, it was incredible. If that was a performance today, it would've been ready. RIDICULOUS

Oh, and I woke up and felt like getting drunk. Second time this month.

Strange, since I've never had more than a sip of beer in my life. And that was just twice.

Been busy lately. Last weekend, I went to rehearsal from 10-2, crew till 4, than a chinese new Year celebration and then went home till 9.... Went straight to bed and woke up at 5:30 Sunday for community service until 12... then I took a nap and did homework...

Haven't take much time to do anything.... well, anything, lol

I had some news I wanted to tell you all, but of course, as soon as I started this journal, it all slipped from my head.

Anyway, haven't been on in forever. Swamped with crap and whatnot. You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown Rehearsals are starting to pick up; in about two weeks, we'll be meeting for about 4 hours daily.... blah.....

Can't believe we're performing in less than a month.... >.> It snuck up on all of us... When we got the schedule, we were all like, 'wtf'.... Just started blocking today... Almost done with the group numbers... Kind of excited though.... The only thing I'm not going to be too crazy about is having freaking 10 performances. We have call at 7 am Tuesday and Thursday, and two matinee shows that day... Two shows on Saturdays and two night shows.... -_- Better catch up on sleep now, lol.

And we have to stay for two and a half hours tomorrow for literary magazine, to sift through the fifty some remaining pieces before we choose what's going to actually go in...

Life is gonna be fun. XD

Wish I could try out for tennis though. =/ It's just with my schedule, there's no way that's gonna happen.....

Today, before rehearsal, we went out to the elementary school to watch 'how kids move' XD Undoubtedly, it was kind of weird, since there were like, seventeen of us crowded around the gate peering into the playground 30 feet away or so. And then we played Red Rover, lmao. We wanted to try and get the feel of 'acting like kids again'. XD it was freaking awesome, lol

Haha, the only problem is that I don't know how to use half of the things in there.... I drew the lion with just a mechnical pencil... So I really don't know how to use textures with these other pencils, lol... Water-soluble graphite means I have to dip it in water to use, right? .... And what are paper stubs and sandpaper for? o__0 And do gum erasers dry out if you leave them out? Like clay? Or do they not have to be wrapped up?

We had a fundraiser thingy for drama club. We'd each perform such and such for some odd amount of money. I did a class performance where I would do a little martial arts thingy and chug a bottle of water in 7 seconds. XD It was pretty fun; I raised over 20 dollars... Not much, but eh, whatever. XP

So we had try outs for the musical, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, on Monday... And so I decided to tryout and made callbacks, which were yesterday... Hmm... And so the cast list came out; I made Shermy in the ensemble. Though I auditioned for Schroeder, Evan got that part, and I'm glad he did; he did really well. I'm just glad I'm in it.

Amazingly enough, there is no holiday today.... o__0

Anyway, so life's still been busy... Doing one thing after the other you know? My days are still pretty occupied, and the gap left from the play has been filled by the abnormal amount of homework I've had these last few days.... Bleh....

I went to a halloween party on ... Sunday. Got there about 6, and we all took a nice bus to Alice Cooper's nightmare park or something... It was pretty cool. But I discovered one thing. I freak out at chainsaws. Seriously, the haunted house was pretty shocking, kept me on edge, but it was more of a BOO thing rather than a 'holy shit that's scary!' thing. Except for the chainsaw. There were these two girls holding onto me this whole time through one haunted house, and when we got to the end, this guy came out and started the chainsaw. I FLIPPED. I rarely curse, but I was all like "SHIT!" and threw the freaking girls off me and bolted out of the haunted house... XD it was amazing.....

Then we went back to her house and sat around the fire, talking until about.... 1, then we all went inside. We talked, played Ten Fingers, then we split into about three groups: The sleepers, the movie watchers, and the "gossipers". XD I wasn't tired, and I didn't watch the movie, so I listened in on the talk. Lol, by the time the movie was over, pretty much everyone except the six of us were asleep, and then Paul fell asleep and breathed/snoored so freaking loud! Five of us ditched the rest and we went outside and slept... at about 6. XD And slept until 8.... Lol, we ate junk food pretty much all night... it was wicked. XD

Drama club got to watch the dress rehearsal for the This is a Test one act, which was HILARIOUS. XD It was pretty great. It was weird though; the monologue that I performed to audition for The Odd Couple was one from the main character in this one act, so it was a bit weird watching someone else perform it.... Whatever, it was cool.

And I drove today.... With this driver's ed person.... I still don't like driving; it's much more fun being driven. Bleh... But he told me to practice more before next Tuesday, so I have no choice but to practice driving..... ewwww......

I'm sooooooo tired....

Yesterday, I woke up at 8, then went to piano lessons until 11, karate until 1:30, tennis until 4, and then to the FAC for one last performance.... And then the cast party afterwards... I didn't get home until 12:30, at which point I just went to bed... And slept until 11.... I'm still tired....

*sigh* Now life will be strangely empty, lol... The play took up so much of my time, now that I don't have to do anything, I feel like I'm going to have an abnormal amount of freetime on my hands... Hmmmmah......

I got the Across the Universe soundtrack... The 'best of' one... Connor got if for me, and Ive listened to it constantly.... Hmm... But I wanna listen to some of the other songs... This CD only has half of them.... Whatever, it's still cool....

I'm ready to drop dead..... *yawn*

Ah, I wanna do another play.... It was so much fun... With all the warmups and activities and traditions... It was just ridiculous.... Mrs. Garvin asked me if I was going to try out for the musical, so maybe I will... X3

It was amazing. I had so much fun.

Pretty much, after literary magazine, I went to eat some pizza with the cast, we drove around a bit, and made it to the Fine Arts Center by 5..... I spent about ten minutes doing homework, twenty minutes goofing off, and thirty minutes trying to do makeup... XD

I felt nervous on and off all day today, but when I was with the cast, it pretty much went away; for the most part, I only felt a bit nervous... Until about a minute before we went on, while we were all hiding backstage... It finally hit me that we were actually performing tonight.... Lol, I was swallowing butteflies.... But it all worked out.... We had a good time... ^^

Anyway, I just had to post a little shpeal about that, since it's the first play I'd ever done... Which is kind of funny, since I'm the only one in either cast, male or female, who has never done a show before, and so they had to explain EVERYTHING to me... XD Everytime they said, 'and to those who don't know', we all knew it was directed only towards me.... X3

They were all like, "Did you put on your blush yet?" and I was all "I have no idea what you're talking about" and they'd tell me what to do, and I'd mess up a little bit.... X3 .... It was ridiculous.....

So so so so so so so SO..... For some unknown reason, I've been feeling extremely down the last two hours.... I've been wandering around, eating junk and feeling all depressed.... -_-^ It's really weird; that's the second time this week that I've felt depressed out of nowhere..... *sigh*......

And LIGHTER news..... We went to Casey's house yesterday to try and rehearse and crew/cast bond.... It was ridiculous... XD We totally wasted the first hour there doing NOTHING. X3 Then we finally got through a thirty or so minute speed through (didn't keep track) and then we got distracted by the seltzer water we were practicing with... Then we spent the next thirty minutes asking questions to get familiar with our characters.... XD So it wasn't a -complete- waste of time.... we didn't do some of the things we were planning though....

Hmmmmah! I watched Across the Universe today. It was RIDICULOUS. XD Lol, seriously, it was wildly original... I haven't seen anything like it in.... EVER. It was just sooo... different. The music was insanely good as well. I recommend that you all go out and see it. Unless you don't like drama/ story oriented movies, or don't like musicals, or don't like Beatles.... But it was a ridiculous movie.... ^^

Eh eh..... I'm bored.... I s'ose I'll go waste -ANOTHER- hour on MySpace, the devil of all websites... lol, I swear, I get so distracted on that site by the quizzes and the ridiculous ads that tell you to do stuff and everything...... *sigh* ....

It's been really fun though... ^^ I kind of can't wait to perform, but I'm extremely nervous at simply the thought of acting on stage.... And I kind of don't want rehearsals to end, but I kind of want to just perform.... Why do I contradict myself so much? XD

Sadly, I'm not immune to myspace..... ;_; I have no idea why, but I can waste an hour there and not know how ..... Maybe it's worse with some of you, but it is scary! o__0 It's like, one minute, Blah, and the next minute, "bla... where did that hour go?!" XD .... It's weird....

I've had rehearsal the last two days.... It's a riot. I swear, it's funny... Yesterday, while we were acting, Mrs. Garvin's assistant director person (I can't remember her name ) told me to down play on the drama Roy was exhibiting.... She was all like, 'What, you can't breathe, or are you dying?', and I was being all like '.... Well, I say that I can't breathe, so if I can't breathe, then I can't live, and if I can't live, then aren't I dying?' That was it, more or less.... lol... But I got her point... I just found that funny....

Hmmmmmmmah...... So I have to get my hair cut for sure this weekend... My current hair cut isn't fitting of a 40-year old in the 60s.... XD lol.... So I'm gonna get it cut fairly short... Well, for me anyway, lol.... I still have to ask Mrs. Garvin how short to cut it.....

....Eh, I also can't decide if I want to tie my hair up in the back... It's long enough, but with my bangs, I just wasn't sure.... Hmmmmmmah.... Whatever.... It's gonna be gone on Sunday anyway.

So so so so so SO! I'm totally going to watch Across the Universe this weekend. I totally pre-planned this; I volunteered to write the movie review for the school newspaper and used it as an excuse so my mom would let me go watch the movie during my already busy schedule.... I'm pretty excited; it looks like a fantastic movie.....

.... And i'm totally getting used to my schedule now.... I finished all my crap by about 9 last night.... Got to go to bed at 10:30 and get a good night's sleep. Amazing, lol.... I'm getting closer to curing my procrastination problem through sheer need....

Hmmmmah, so, I've lately taken a habit into developing more idiosyncrasies (ooh, SAT word, snap! XD) .... I think it'd be fun, that way I'd have unique habits that people can remember me by, and remember me for me....

I got a book of comedic monologues. It was cool.... I've lent it to a friend, but yeah....

So so so so SO! I've ben busy. Haven't been on the computer much this week, except for homework and the occasional procrastinator's break... Similar deals, arriving home about 6 everyday, do homework, play piano, eat, go to bed..... Thursdays are more hectic, come home, eat, go back to school till 9, come home, finish homework, go to bed...

Eh, so Saturday yesterday was killer. I woke up at..... 7? My mom shipped me off to his youth worship group so I could play piano for them... They don't really need me, but the worship leader wants me since I'm the second best pianist there... It's more of a potential thing, I guess, but I can't play in the thing anyway, since I'm not a member of the church... So it was pointless to go there, but what mom wants, mom gets..... I guess... XD

lol, so after at 8:45, I went to my SAT class, where they had another diagnostic test.... The stupid proctor was late, so we sat there for twenty minutes..... The test ended up going from 9:20 to 1:40.... -_- Immediately after, I changed and ate in the car, and went to a tennis lesson at 2 until 4... Went home, changed, grabbed some homework, and my dad drove us up to our uncle's house, where they prepared a welcome meal for my grandparents..... So I did some homework there, worked out some problems with and got home around ...... 10.... So I did some homework, and went back to bed.....

I woke up this morning for that stupid class again, and I think I've just finally finished all my school work.... Now I have to play piano, finish music theory, and complete my SAT homework.... Ewwwwwwwwww.

I'm ready to just nap now......... Hmmmmmmah

So my weekend was just lovely, lol

Hmm... my grandparents moved in and will stay with us for a bit.... so I get to sleep downstairs on a mat on the tile. I sleep better on the ground. I really do. XD

Hmmm.... So we had Odd Couple rehearsals for the poker players for the first time in like..... *goes to check calender* uh.... A week or something... XD Anyway, the point is, we went a week without going through it... So when we ran through it today, it was a bit patchy. Admittingly, I thought I had all my lines down, but the timing was difficult... I memorized where my lines went by what the line was before it, and if somebody rephrased theirs, or reorganized it, it threw me off a bit.... Ah well, it didn't go that badly for me... But I think Mrs. Garvin was a bit irritated at everyone for their lack of timing.... Especially... well, I won't name names, but yeah.... It was fun, still.

We tried on the outfits that were picked out for us on Saturday... For the most part, two of them fit nicely.... I guess somebody thought it'd be funny to give me a small sized sweater, and so.... Well, but that into a medium body, and you get a major-emo sweater... XD It was terrible.... so hard to get off... XD


I've totally driven three times this last week... I hate driving, but I need practice... I almost crashed into a plotted plant, but besides that, I was good. X3

Eh.... My mom had this $10 off a $20 purchase at officemax, so when we bought the supplies we needed, my mom said I could get some $5 junk so she could use the coupon.... I got this set of graphite pencils for shading and drawing and whatnot, so it's pretty cool... I tried them out, and honestly, there wasn't a single shade I couldn't get with a mechanical pencil... Admittingly, though, it was much easier to get the shades with the graphites... So if all goes well, I'll be making my drawings look better with those pencils....

So you know I made the Odd Couple? I'm sure I've made it clear by now... XD Anyway, apparently, we need ten hours of crew work where you work on the set and whatnot, and so since I can't make it to Saturday crew hours, I have to go pretty much after school even when it's not my rehearsal to get enough crew hours before the show...

So I went yesterday, and since they hadn't had anything much for anyone to do, and since I was the only one there, I helped out with the Female Version of The Odd Couple. It was a HOOT. XD I swear, the female version is a riot. I had to fill in for Olive (Oscar's counterpart) and when Renee (Roy's counterpart, or in other words, mine) left, I had to read their parts so the girls could rehearse.... It was pretty fun...

Then I went today during the night class to do a couple more hours... We moved sets around and reconstructed the main set elsewhere for reasons not.... Actually, I suppose we had to move it so the improv show would have somewhere to perform... XD Anyway! Lol, I helped with that... But I swear, for a good twenty minutes, I stood their propping a flat up next to Jesse who was also propping a flat up, because we were waiting for instructions on where to place the flat and it made us feel like we were doing something while we were waiting for instructions instead of being lazy and just letting the flat rest on something.... XD My life's passion.... to be a stage flat! XD

Seriously, there's this one ad floating around DA that says 'Do not click this unless you're over 18' or some crap like that.... I stared at that stupid banner for like.... 5 minutes, debating on whether or not to click on it.... *twitch* must click.... But I didn't... I was afraid some porn or something would pop up and get attatched to my hard drive or some crap like that..... *twitch* if anybody else clicked it, tell me what's there! o__0

So I went to see War today.... It was okay... -_- I mean, it was action.... Entertainment, I suppose, but all action movies are repetitive and similar anyway... The only plus was that there was this wicked plot twist that I did NOT see coming. But if you're hoping for some Grammy movie or something, don't watch it; wait for War to come out on DVD....

This weekend was surprisingly.... Empty... For the most part... We were home most of the time; we went out once for my mom's birthday, and another time for her friend's, but that was about it... We stayed at home for once.... o__0 It felt so weird to not have to go anywhere.... I've been going from place to place doing this thing or that nonstop.... So.... It felt weird doing just simple things at home.... lol XD

Apparently, my grandparents are coming.... Bleh, they'll be staying for a couple of weeks at our house, so that means I have to move out of my room.... *sigh* I've really turned their room into mine, because I didn't think they'd come back, but now I have to reorganize it for them... Probably I'll be doing that all tomorrow.... I'll miss sleeping in a bed for a couple of weeks.... Though I do sleep better on the floor... XD

Oh, they gave us this thing for the cast of the Odd Couple to fill out... It's supposed to be about our character.... o__0 It confuses me, since I don't know if she's looking for my opinion, or a right answer... Does she want me to go watch the movie and fill out the questions? Or does she want to know what I think?.... bleh... And some of the questions are.... interesting.... how the heck am I supposed to know what Roy ate for breakfast?! I don't even like breakfast! X3

Ah.... And she told us we were to be off script for Act I by Tuesday... But I don't have rehearsal listed on the schedule she gave us.... Did she just say Tuesday so we wouldn't put off learning it till Thursday, or did she add practice Tuesday? @.@ Blech......

Anyway, so I got home at 9 today.... Didn't get a chance to do much of anything... After school I went straight to Drama Club.... After which was Odd Couple rehearsal.... It's a blast.... I can't wait for the next rehearsal... I've already got all my Act I lines memorized... Granted I'm only in about three quarters of act one, but still...

So after rehearsal I went to the JV Football game to manage the concessions stand there which was, I might say, uber fun ..... Not really. XD It was interesting enough, but it was boring nonetheless... Couldn't do my homework either, since it involved using the computer.... *sigh* I'm just really tired now....

Good news is, is that we get a three and a half day weekend .... I get to slow down and catch my breath finally!

Anyway, so first rehearsal was yesterday. I LOVED it. Anyone out there, join drama club and tryout. If you make it, great, if not, oh well, no harm done! But if you do, it's just so much fun to read through the script and act and put everything together....

I'm probably just not in the swing of school yet.... Not ready to balance out all of these activities yet..... Well, the good news is that the worse things that could happen is that I drop out of the play, right? I'd still do Drama, which is a BLAST by the way.

We played an improv game, and it was awesome. We did improv tryouts too, which were amazing as well... I did fairly well, considering it was my first time... XD

I've spent an hour talking to (in case you haven't read my last journal, since it was just a few hours ago, she's a friend who's moved to NORTH CAROLINA!) .... And right now, my head is all jumbled....

The good side is, I'm overjoyed for the fact that she wanted to go out with me too....

But I'm really mad at the fact that she moved to North Carolina

Yet I'm relieved that she got away from her father....

but I'm regretting the stupidity I've shown by not asking her out sooner....

But she likes me too......


Gaaaaaaaaaaaah. No one should ever feel too many emotions at once; it's ridiculous.... I don't know what to do.... I think she should move on, since she's in North Carolina, so she can start new relationships... But I don't want to let her go.... gaaaaaaaaaaah. >.<

I'm going to bed. That's the best solution right now. I'll deal with it tomorrow....

It was sweet. We woke up for school and everything, and during breakfast, my mom's all like, "..... You guys don't want the Wii anymore, do you?" And I'm like, "Heckyes" but I didn't say it like that. XD I just said, yeah, and then my mom's like, "Well, you guys should look next to the sofa.... It's been there for about four days...." And then me and my brother were all like o__0, "WHAT?" And dart next to the sofa, and sure enough, between the sofa and the corner of the room is a Wii.... Apparently, my dad thought it would be funny to see if we would look in the corner of the back wall.... >.>

I joined Drama Club this year, which seems like it'll be fun... I'm thinking about trying out for the play for the heck of it, 'cuz the worse that can happen is that I'd get rejected, right? Anyway, I need to go find a one minute monologue...... <.< Anyone got any good ones?

I love this song... It picks up gently, then it starts to rock out, before quieting down for the verse, and then the chorus is so catchy! I've already memorized about half of the song.... Very nice song....

Anyway, so school's started... I'm happy about my schedule for the most part, except I'm trying to switch teachers for my sixth hour clas.... 0__o My current class is full of those idiots in every grade who think they're so cool and don't need to do awesome in school and think they'll get by.... -_- So annoying.....

Good news is, is that I asked Mrs. Hart, the Journalism teacher if we're going on the New York trip, and she said most likely yes; it'd be next march and most probably during spring break.... So I asked my mom that if I saved up money if I could go, and she said yes.

I wanted to go last year, but my parents wouldn't pay... This year, I'm saving ahead of time, and I WILL go. :K Or commit suicide. XD

Just kidding, just kidding. I'm not suicidal. Seriously, I'm not. o__0 Suicide's crazy....

Bad news is, is that I'm already behind on homework.... My h. pre-calc teacher has a system that makes it so I don't have to have my homework done for like, two weeks, and for a procrastinator like me, that's torture.... >.> If I don't have to do it, I don't do it.... The travel scheme between classes looks like it's gonna be interesting, since I'm in the same class for two periods before travelin to the second campus for two more classes then lunch on the first campus.... It's.... interesting.... XD

*sigh* I really should get started on my summer work.... I'm running out of procrastination time.... XD

On a side note, I found out my class ranking.... Out of a bit over 400 students, I only rank 15th.... bleh...... That's barely in the top 4%, so there's no Full-ride scholarship....

The best I can describe it, is that it's my Deviant ID, but shorter, so that my eyes aren't covered.... ;_; ..... lol, I was talking to the hair cut lady, and apparently, she took that I wanted a more 'in-my-face' hairstyle, and I got it, but it's too short to be the way I want it.... Well, there are two weeks until school starts, so maybe I'll get lucky.

In other news, I just discovered I have summer work for Honors Spanish 7/8.... Lovely.... So now, I have to complete that, read two books, and do a summer essay in the next two weeks.... -_- not too much.... Just too lazy and unmotivated to do it.... maybe I'll do it next week..... XD

The Midnight party was kind of fun.....

The spelling bee was extremely lame, but I did really good on all the trivia.... Won 4 raffle tickets.... Sadly, I didn't win any prizes.... ;_;

And it's funny.... There was a costume contest, but I didn't dress up.... I ended up going with this girl for the costume contest.... She went as Female Harry Potter and I was Male Cho Chang..... XD

We went to watch Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix today.... Decent movie. There were little things they could've added to make it better, but it was decent entertainment.... Well, if you've read the Harry Potter books, that is. XD Looney Lovegood was a really great character; she was great. Neville was a bit too emo, and Harry was a little too not emo, and Ginny had too few lines, but they had the perfect actor cast as Umbridge. Her cat-plates were hysterical! XD The fight scenes were cool too.... But I don't get why the shortest movie was based off the longest book.... =/ Ah well, it was entertainment.... Better then Transformers, for sure.


So it was exciting this year... I got wished 'Happy Birthday' by more people then last year.... People actually texted and called me this year to wish me happy birthday.... So that was nice......

Dang, this past week has been hectic.....

On July 4th, we didn't do much, as usual.... Though my parents did let me drive to my martial arts dojo! It's much easier driving with my mom... She doesn't yell angrily, she comments urgently.... And to top it off, the streets were pretty empty due to the holiday, so I didn't have to do much.....

But any driving tips for the future would be nice! ^^


I went to Gameworks at Arizona Mills yesterday with my Asian Lead pals... It was pretty cool; we ended up playing DDR most of the time (which I'm getting pretty good at!) I played that stuffed animal crane game too, and won ..... twice. Disappointing.... But it was cool; we tried to play truth or dare in the mall, and it was really.... interesting. XD We couldn't do anything too bad, but it was fun....

Oh, and I saw Transformers today.


DO NOT SEE IT.

Wait for it to come out on DVD. Seriously, I don't get all the hype about it. There were too many special effects, too many characters that were sorta important but turned out quite useless, the mood was broken too roughly, too many plot holes, the lighting sucked, and there were too many cliche moments..... I have to admit, the humor was pretty good though. I mean, it was entertainment, but if you're looking for a quality movie, look elsewhere. I mean it. D:<

XD Sorry, I'm listening to a song.

Anyway.... Been as hectic as ever.... I haven't really had much time to rest lately.... I'm getting a little more then six hours of sleep nightly, and during the day, I get about two hours to myself, excluding plans with my friends or elsewhere.....

It's getting to be too much.... >.> I think I have too many cliques of friends... It's too hard to keep up with all of them.... but I don't want to lose any of my friends... So I don't know what to do.....

Oh, and my tennis serve is sucking more and more. Ever since my new coach changed my grip, I haven't made nearly the necessary quota of serve percentages that I should... The only reason I haven't changed back yet is because I've made a few really really good serves for once.... bleh.....

On the bright side though, I'm entertaining myself by rereading the Harry Potter series in anticipation of the seventh book still. I've already gone through the first four.....


Eh, and I also learned something new. I was at a friends house, and we were talking, and all of a sudden we started talking about tests to be a good kisser, and of course he brought up tying a cherry stem in a knot, but I've never actually tried it... So we bet, and the person to tie the most knots in fifteen minutes won.... Guess what? I tied more then he did. I spent the first five minutes figuring out what to do, and then I only got three tied, but he couldn't do it... XD

It was just fun. Who else can do it? It's my first attempt at horror, and so.... Well, it might not be scary to you, but I only write it at night in the dark, and I write what I think would be really creepy in a movie. So..... Eh, and it might also seem a little unorganized, since I'm writing as I go, without any planning.

Anyway..... I've been uber busy lately... My driver's ed class on Friday was far better with the simulators this time... I'm guessing the simulator I used last time was busted or something, because this one actually worked....

I also went to a friend's house and slept over. We rocked out on guitar hero for about an hour... That game is so sick! It was funny, neither of us had ever played hard, but we decided to anyway... I did fairly well, considering this is the second time I've played it... I beat ever song I tried, and four of them on the first try. Tis a fun game.

Oh, speaking of guitar hero, I recently was referred to this wacky game.... [link] It's addicting! D:< Darn you Nathaniel! Giving me another distraction! XD

Oh, and I saw a the Fantastic four, rise of the silver surfer today.... It was decent, but not theatre worthy... might as well wait for it to come out on DVD....

So I've had two days of driver's ed.... Woot..... XD It's not that fun though. We're supposed to be driving these stupid simulators everyday, but these things are way out of date. You tap the gas pedal, and you either go to 2 mph, or shoot to 60 mph. I spent about a minute trying to get my speed to the right level, and forgot to watch the road. However, the faulty computer didn't realize that I wasn't paying attention to the road, so it didn't say anything. o__0 And then the seat belt, the shoulder strap part, kept slipping off.... >.< And the system was lousy too. If you let go of the gas, no matter what speed you're at, you'll be at 0 mph in two seconds, so you don't need to step on the brake.... and the simulators, they don't even each get their own screens! No, you have to look onto one screen, and drive with it. The computer is supposed to tell you when you make an error, but it doesn't... And the single screen? they used a movie projector. Those old outdated ones.... o__0

The funny thing is though, that I saw two kids from the Asian Lead Academy at summer school. Small world, huh? XD *sigh* Otherwise, the only other good news is, is that during the four hours that we will drive supervised, that the majority of the class will get a slip/paper that they can turn into the DMV to get their license (granted, if they're a good driver and have held onto their permit for five months) without taking the Driving test.... well.... Cross my fingers! (But not while driving, of course) XD
