I've got to thank one person for this of course, and that's Jenn. Her photos have been getting an amount of attention that none of my previous pictures have hit before. As such, it was definately her which pushed me to this fun new number.

A couple of weeks ago I discovered a dead pixel showing up on my new Canon EOS 5D. I called Canon and they said I could ship it in, and I said fuck it, I can't deal with that now.

I went back today, and looked at the pictures from the first night I shot the camera, and the dead pixel has existed ever since I purchased the camera. AWESOME.

I've called Canon. The best they can offer is expedited service. The normal service right now is 8-12 days. Add in shipping time, and who knows. They don't have any other options to offer me.

Friday I'm getting paid in both money, and drink tickets, to photograph the club Pop Roxx here in San Francisco. At least that's what I've been told. It's always one hell of a party. I just worry about my camera acting shitty on me. I think my 50mm prime might be a bit fucked somehow.

Last night was another MEAT at the DNA Lounge here in San Francisco. A monthly industrial club, serving free BBQ, it's my favorite club, and possibly at the best venue on the West Coast. Last night they had a special gothish-art showing going on in the upstairs area, and there were some definately talented artists showing stuff up there. I'm growing increasingly frustrated with this website. There are talented people, and good people here, and then there is just the bullshit.

Let's start out with my latest frustration, my revisits to my recent trip to Europe. I'm not going to be modest here, I think these photos are fucking fantastic. They're groomed out of a probably close to 400 shots I took on the trip. They're edited nearly flawlessly as far as I can tell.

Thunderdome!

Yes, that's right. They rebuild the namesake set from the movie Mad Max - Beyond Thunderdome every year. They let people bounce around, just like in the movie. Except you use foam bats instead of chainsaws and what not.

Some of the local gang build lots of Mad Max style art cars, and there seems to generally be a few gas powered machine guns (make sound, not bullets), and flame throwers.
