And theres so many more people I still have yet to meet in my hall alone, it's fantastic! So many people from different places, backgrounds and countries, and the majority all seem nicer and far less judgemental than I was used to at my school - I feel much more able to just be myself here.

The deviations are stacking up but I really don't have time to look at them - being on my computer seems such a waste of time when I could be out socializing XD But I'm registering today so there's something slightly more serious to do. I'm going to get started on designing name tags for everyone's doors now, so TTFN!

Had to get that results entry off my userpage.

I went to Alton Towers yesterday with Tamby ~amber-glow and had SO much fun. It has to be one of the best days ever! The weather was perfectly warm and sunny, we went on all the good rides and had really delicious meals. Some of the rides got closed and reopened during the day, but it didn't really affect us. And all four of us got in for only £55! (promo vouchers and touts) :D

The start of Rita is brilliant, when you suddenly whoosh off! The rest of it is pretty average as rollercoasters go (no upside down-ness) but really fun and fast. The Spinball Whizzer is CRAZY. The hour-long queue time was crazy, and the ride was so disorientating and strange! It was Tama's favourite but I wasn't so sure. Despite being a 'kiddy ride' I think it was actually 'scarier' than Nemesis! Nemesis was great as we were able to just run straight on (no queue!) and we all agree it is still the best and most intense. :heart:
I'm a total rollercoaster nut.

Still totally hooked on David Bowie, so you can probably expect some related art soon. Speaking of which, I can't believe all the attention 'Rainbow Roses' got, especially when compared to the dismal lack of it my two previous artworks got. Oh well, I can't pick and choose which deviations are liked and which aren't. :shrug:

Sorry I HAD to write this journal as I just don't know what else to do with myself!!! There are lots of people who won't care about my results, but I think there are at least some who do, so here they are:

I GOT 5 As! :excited:

Aaand... the subject I thought I did worst in, Geography? I got 90/90 in the physical paper and 81/90 in the human paper! I don't think I've ever done that well in an exam, so it's really weird that it happened in my 'worst' subject - maybe it was all just a mindtrick of Ms. Shaw to make me think I was bad at it... :confused:

I'm so relieved... I was beginning to plan my clearing route, I was going to try for a place at Nottingham doing Biology because I saw an advertisement for it. 0_o

It's a shame that I didn't see any of my friends when I went in to collect my results, I would really have liked to know how they did. I hope they'll let me know somehow!

BUT ANYWAY! I'm going to Bristol! And Cambridge and Warwick can STICK IT!

I really hope everyone else getting results today were pleased too! I'd really like to know. :aww:

AHHHHHH five days to A2 results! My future is decided in that many days - how scary is that?

I like the new DA. Still think they need to sort out those new categories though. And the various bugs...

I have quite a few pieces of work to put up, and I'm working on more all the time! The arty enthusiasm has kicked in, yeah! I can't guarantee it'll be that good but if I do some art I might as well put it up here, seeing as I do so little of it! =p

Tama's just finished an amazing portrait of the mighty Beck, go and see it! [link]
She is SO much better than me in art than I was at her age (only 14!) - possibly better than me at this age too, though I haven't used pencil in years so can't be sure! :D

In the past week, I got my parents to bring out their old music collections for me to raid. Mum had her tapes of David Bowie, Genesis and Aztec Camera and Dad had his vinyl records of Duran Duran, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Madness! It's been great, I've discovered that I really love certain 'types' of 80s music now that I've learnt its not all like that they play on 'TOTAL 80s' compilation albums shown on TV adverts! I should have seen it coming - now I'm scouting out David Bowie's entire back catalogue... :D

I also cleared out my warderobe - it was too full to fit anything new in - and put my whole toybox in the washing machine, as some toys at the bottom were starting to go mouldy, ewww. And as expected of around this time in the summer holidays, Tama and I are composing photo stories on Sims 2 and laughing at a different Big Wolf on Campus recording everyday... :roll:

I hardly ever write journals because I never have anything interesting to say. :P But really, having a journal from 5 months ago is just ridiculous. Its even more ridiculous that I haven't done any art since 4 months ago, sorry about that. I will after my exams are finished...

ONLY ABOUT 9 LESSONS LEFT OF SCHOOL! That's geography today and most of next week. I'll be sad to leave it, my friends and teachers, I've had a great time there. :happycry:

And in several months, I'm off to Bristol University to study English Literature... IF I get AAA in my exams. Thankfully, every room has an internet connection! :D
I'm so happy about it - the course sounds amazing, I'll never take another exam again, and the city is gorgeous! :heart:

I had to get rid of that birthday journal, and noticed today that I have 10,000 pageviews! So this seems like a good time to write a journal. Apologies if it bores you, my life isn't very interesting! :D

I'm experiencing the wonders of a debit card for the first time this week! (after finding out I was actually eligible for one 2 years ago...) I've signed up on ebay and paypal and I already have a watchlist bursting at the seams (ok I'll admit, there's a fair proportion of Beck goodies on there) No more consulting parents if I want to buy something online! ^^;

I am also enjoying the benefits of having my FIRST EVER mobile phone! (I'm a very late developer in these teenage things) I've used it a lot more than I thought I would already, not to mention the MAJOR fun I've had just in making numerous crazy little videos on it, and making ringtones from my music collection for it! :dance:

I have a whole week off school because it's study leave! And I've finished all my revision notes from this year now, so now I'll just be going over my AS work for the synoptic stuff, reading through my notes and testing myself. It really was worth it starting in the christmas holidays. :) I know a lot of people on here are having exams this week too, so I wish you all good luck with them! :hug:

I still REALLY want to do some new art. Currently there's a blue/black tom vek pastels work and a v. colourful beck painting in my head, but I don't know when I'll have time to actually create them...

I had a fantastical birthday yesterday, thank you to those who wished me a happy one! I got my iPod, 'Love and Squalor' by We Are Scientists (awesome music and cute kitties in one), 'Shadow Hearts: Covenant' (PS2 RPG I've wanted for absolutely ages!), some pretty clothes, chocolate... and most special, my home-made presents from my friends! This includes my BECK DOLL(!!! [link] !!!) made by my wonderful wifey Gemma *rainbowblossom and a gorgeous picture of Sanji (from One Piece) drawn by the lovely Miho! :heart:

I really enjoyed my interviews at Cambridge! It was basically a chance to discuss my favourite books and literature in general with world-class literature experts - who were really nice and friendly to boot! Nothing to be nervous about at all, although I did make some stupid mistakes when I was being tested on my knowledge, and the written test didn't go very well. So I'm trying not to think about it or get my hopes up, but instead just to think of it as an enjoyable and educational experience. :)

Christmas soon! Which also means revision begins soon and January exams are looming near, but I'm not going to let that detract from my good spirits. Thank you to all my watchers, thanks for sticking with me or for noticing me recently! I regret that I've been busy lately and this will be continuing... but I'm trying to get round to commenting on your new deviations and comments. :glomp:

HP:GOF was soooo amazing! It is definitely the best film yet, no question. It was hilariously funny, edge-of-your-seat exciting (well, almost) and cry-your-eyes-out-loudly sad. I cried so much when Cedric said "take my body back" - and it got worse when Harry was crying and wouldn't stop clinging to cedric's body when they got back! :cries: Cedric was so gorgeous, and they only let us have him for ONE film!!! Fred and George are my favourite characters by miles, I LOVE them! And finally (because I believe that's enough ranting now), Barty Crouch Jnr. makes a cute death eater :D

I'm currently in a race against time to complete these christmas paintings to put on cards that I'm being commissioned to do (though I'll be using the design as well probably), so that's what I'll be doing tommorow.

Just a quick journal to replace the last one and say YAY for my brand spanking new BECK! club I've made here on D.A:

If you're curious, it's supposed to look like the 'Devils Haircut' video when it pauses and zooms in, but I haven't done it particularly well.

I'm also excited for CHRISTMAS (9 weeks away apparantly) my BIRTHDAY (8th December, remember it!) I'm being commisioned to design, paint and produce lots of christmas cards!
I'd really appreciate ideas on what to paint to go on the card - I don't want anything very religious, or including santa! But I'd love to hear your suggestions.

On a final note, I've become addicted to playing through Final Fantasy 8 for the 2nd time - I'd forgotten what a great game it was! Only about 10 triple triad cards that I'm missing now, and I'm determined to get the Lionheart weapon for Squall this time around. Advice on where to get the items for it (adamantine, steel pipes, pulse ammo) from other FF fanatics would be great!

The AS-level results day is finally over with, and now all we have to worry about is starting A2 and re-takes. I wasn't going to post my results up, but I know that some people are interested to know, so here they are.
I got a C for art (quite ironic really, seeing as this is my deviantart account!), my best A for Biology (the subject I rashly decided to do half time, in my Art periods), good A for English (owing to full marks in coursework - I've worked out that I actually got a B in the drama/poetry exam), and scraped As for Geography, Psychology and General Studies. So basically I was really lucky! I largely have *rainbowblossom to thank for my Biology result, as without her notes from lessons I couldn't attend, I'd have been done for! :hug: :heart:

The holidays are nearly over - 2 weeks left I think :( They've been really fun so far - *rainbowblossom and I went to town to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' on monday, which was really fun and it was a great movie! I'll probably go again with ~amber-glow next week. :D When we've been at home, we've been watching my old recorded 'Big Wolf on Campus' episodes - only the most underrated tv show ever! And quite possibly the gayest kids show ever too, though I doubt many people other than me and my sister notice this. :giggle: Anyway it's been great. I've also been doing a ton of reading - Gothic novels mostly, as they are my favourite genre. And I've started Final Fantasy 8 again - THIS time I'm determined to finish the game!

We're going on holiday tommorow, to North Wales! That means we're not going to our favourite beach in the south, but hopefully all the walks and exploration will be a nice change from usual. I wonder if i can still get into the travel inn as a child (age 15)? I've been 15 for 3 years now.

When I get back, I'm planning on doing lots of art! Mostly paintings, but there may be some drawings too. Subjects will probably include animals (like [link]), portraits of people I know (perhaps even myself) and of course, Beck! :D
Of course, I have a ton of holiday homework to get done too, and a lot of reading to get through in preparation for next term. Add to that university open days, taking up guitar again and vacations and it's unlikely I'll get stuck with nothing to do.

AS results day is 18th August! Trying not to think about it, yet wanting it to approach faster - I just want to get the dissapointment over with as quickly as possible! I didn't like GCSE results day at all.

Tama (~amber-glow) was absolutely wonderful in her performances at the school concert! I'm so proud of you tamby and I hope that your new confidence will allow you to perform in the next concert too. :hug:

Well this was the first day back at school, but it was ok. I don't think the next six weeks of work will be too taxing in comparison to the last six weeks :D So I feel like I can relax a bit. It was great seeing my wifey *rainbowblossom again, we chatted about our amazingly slobby study leaves, though they didn't take that long to discuss! Go to her page and spread the love! :heart:
Here I have some more under-appreciated people who deserve a lot of love, for being really supportive of me and my work, having a lot of talent and generally being really lovely people!
- Such a lovely person, she comments on all my work and she has quickly become one of my best friends on here!

I had my last exams today, well apart from biology but that's aaaages away. And they actually went well for a change! English gave me nice questions (though I rambled on the streetcar named desire one) and geography was much better than expected. Art is OVER, FOREVER!!! And I don't have any regrets. But I'll try to continue doing artwork to post up here, even if it isn't a necessity anymore - I enjoy drawing and painting, but I just can't keep up with the tremendous workload. :) Plus now I do biology full time, woohoo!
Oh and the psychology exam was more difficult than expected (I messed it up) and the General Studies exams were the easiest ever! Because of this, I think I'll continue with it next year. X3

Anyway, I want to say a big thank you to everyone who commented on my most recent deviation, Glasses! I got more comments than usual and they all made me very happy! :hug:
And... roll on 5000 pageviews! They're not too far away...

I'm going to be really busy with exams for at least the next week, so I'm sorry if I don't comment or reply back - there just isn't enough time to look at everything :(

A one week subscription is nice and all, but what's the point if I can't search? That's the only really great thing about being subscribed! Though the message centre previews are good too, I suppose. :D

In... 6 minutes my first revision session of the day... English first today... is supposed to begin ^^; So I better make this a short entry!

All in all the revision isn't going too badly. Psychology is going great, so is English, Physical Geography isn't too bad and Human Geography is giving me headaches! For art, I have to finish all my preparatory work and actually DECIDE what I'm doing for the exam, before the exam, which starts on MONDAY!!! No mental breakdown yet, but it's coming... XD
There's also Biology to think about, but I'm leaving that because it's not till after half term. :D

At least much art exam preparation = more work to put on here. So... enjoy it whilst it's still coming! Who knows whether I'll ever do art again, once I drop it at the end of AS?

On an end note, I bought Maximo Park's album yesterday and it's fantastic! I've been wanting it ever since the first time I heard 'Apply Some Pressure' on MTV2. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who has liked their singles.

My Beyblade fanfiction "Snow Child" is now completely finished! I might be doing a sequel, once I get the time. :3

There's not really any news, but the old entry was so old! School is going great, I really like sixth-form- there is a lot of work in art, but it's all fun! It's really great getting to know people that I knew last year much better now that I spend more time with them.

Things that rock at the moment:
- 'The Sims 2' it is SO addictive and time wasting, but I love it all the same. Very similar to the first one, but much improved!
- The Star Wars Trilogy DVD set has a fantastic extras/features DVD, it had me and Tama (my sister) in hysterics for hours! I'm sure the films will be great too, when we get round to watching them.
- weezeradio.com plays weezer songs 24 hours a day! I'll admit they very rarely play my favourite songs, but it's still a great thing to have on, playing in the background as I do my computer stuff. :D

Please read my beyblade fanfiction, "Snow Child"! Chapters up to 12 are up now, and I'd really appreciate some more reviews! :D

I'm really enjoying sixth-form! So far we haven't had that much work (well apart from art that is) so I think I'm handling my six subjects pretty well. Providing that Gemma continues to let me copy down her Biology notes! :hug: Art requires a lot of extra work, but at least i enjoy it. Geography is treating me worst, as I have a really annoying teacher for it who everyone hates, and she's given us a TON of maps homework, and I hate maps! It's only the essay writing parts I like. :) Oh and Psychology seems cool, apart from the fact I have to stay at school till 5pm tommorow.

Well, school has kind of started. We were only in for about two hours, just to sort stuff out. It was fun seeing all my friends again though! And I'm really pleased with the tutor groups we've been put in because I'm with three of my friends, but sadly I'm not with ~rainbowblossom. :D :(
We all went to collect last year's art work, and I had to lug loads of heavy sheets and canvases home! My arms are aching now. It's strange, but I'm quite excited for lessons starting tommorow!

You probably won't be seeing much art from me for quite a while, because I'm taking a break to work on my Beyblade fanfic I'm writing, called "Snow Child." It centers around my OC Albina (look in my gallery) and Tala, and the Demolition Boys and Biovolt in general! If you like beyblade, you should read it. Hee hee I love Chocobos! (they inspired the title) :aww: I've almost finished FFX-2 for the second time now- it's 100% complete and I have all the dressspheres, but I still need to finish the Via Infinito- I think I'm up to cloister 60 now. Argghh GCSE results are soon! In 2 weeks I think- and then sixth form begins, which is almost as worrying as getting the results back. Update- I'm back from Wales now, it was great! Despite the rain, going in the sea was the most fun- the water was freezing but the waves were the biggest and roughest I've ever seen! I just noticed that I have 10 watchers, yay! I guess that's not much to most people, but I think it's great and I really appreciate it, thanks! I've also got over 800 page views- getting close to 1000! Ummm I can't really think of a prize that I could give that the person who got my 1000th page view would actually want, so I'll be thinking about that. :)

I went so see Shrek 2 with ~ rainbowblossom yesterday, and it was great! I still think I preferred Harry Potter 3 but it was still a fantastic movie, really funny! I hope I wasn't too annoying.... the bit where Donkey says "Donkey!" at the dinner table was so funny, that I laughed really loud at first then couldn't stop sniggering at whenever I thought of it afterwards! And I really didn't expect a lot of what happened, so that was good too :D

At the moment I'm still working on my website, which is nearly finished, and sometimes taking a break to do some more of my big oil pastel parrot that I'm working on- that should be posted sometime at the weekend. I never know the best times to submit stuff though- when it will be seen by most people :/ Any advice?

Beyblade G Revolution is great- I love the new character designs to pieces! But they need to feature Kai more, hee hee! I'm glad his scarf and a portion of his muscles have returned, though I'm still not satisfied with his new eyecolour- they should be RED!!! Oh well I'm the only one who likes BB so I'll shut up now :giggle:

Today was my last ever exam (at least for this year) - Physics! And it was quite easy, apart from the questions towards the end, which I was NEVER TAUGHT! :fork: stupid mr. blom!
Graphics was really easy, there was just one question I didn't know. And it's all over now, hooray! But it's annoying how long we have to wait for results, I want them now! Grr to impatient! But that's enough about exams now.

Boohoo, I'm not subscribed anymore! But it was fun whilst it lasted- I don't think it's worth buying another though. The thing I'll miss most is searching for fanart of my favourite cartoon characters. So no more polls or shoutboxes :tears: Well that just means that everyone will have to reply to this in order to shout something- go on, it's not that much extra bother! ;p

My self-assigned task for the summer holidays to make a website. I've already started it, and it's looking quite good, though the only section done so far is the xiaolin showdown one (I'm making mini-fansites for my favourite tv shows and bands). But it's still a secret, so nobody can see it till it's finished! Please, if you have any suggestions for what to put on it, or if you want me to link to your website, or anywhere else, tell meeeeee! :D

The computer is still rather bubba, so I never know whether I'll be able to go on or not because it keeps breaking without warning. So I apologise if I haven't commented on your latest work or replied to comments. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

Okay that's the quiz over with! Now I just need to say that I saw Harry Potter 3 and it rocks! Though I was dissapointed that they missed out so many parts and changed a lot of parts around, I thought the new bits, and the way they managed to shorten the long book into a short movie were clever :D I don't know how they'll manage the next one though!
Harry was a bit wooden at the start but it adds to the enjoyment of the movie so I shouldn't complain. Ron still rocks my socks! I really loved the parts which hinted at a Ron/Hermione relationship- I laughed when Hermione said to him "Do you want to get closer?" and he thought he meant to her, but she meant the shrieking shack! But no-one else did! I hate exams. Especially maths exams! At least my french listening and graphics exams today went OK. Not disasteriffic like the geography and maths ones anyway!
But I've ordered myself to stop complaining and moaning because it's really boring and annoying for other people, so here comes some happiness! :dance:

On Saturday, the family went to Chatsworth (this big posh house and huge gardens in the midlands) and I got loads of nature photos! Woo! But I don't want to clog up my gallery (or your messages) with tons of boring flower photos, so I am only posting my favourites. I think I might move the old ones into my scraps folder because I'm not really a photographer and they make my gallery very random- though randomness is sometimes good... :D

I've also got an oil-painted self portrait to submit sometime, but I don't like it much, so I'm making it wait. I also need to draw my contest entry for xiaolin-showdown but I haven't been able to find time yet. I did have one attempt, but my female jack looked more like a transvestite than an actual girl! I'm not giving up yet though! :w00t:

In the spare time I have had, I've been reading loads of beyblade and xiaolin showdown fanfics at fanfiction.net- there are so many fantastic ones (especially kaixrei ones)! It is a bit sad I suppose, but it takes my mind off exams at least. =p
Here in nottingham it's soooooooo hot! :faint: The heat fuddles our brains in exams and makes us do badly- it shouldn't be allowed! The heat is nice when walking home though, especially if there's a breeze aswell.

And on a final note: I can't wait to see harry potter 3 at the cinema! :boogie:

Starting today, it's half term week, yay! Which means no exams- unfortunately, the week after there is an exam every day, some even twice a day, so really I should be revising. :(
My english literature exam was yesterday and it was so bleh! The lord of the flies questions were really hard as I was expecting one on symbols or characters which I had revised relentlessly, but no! They had to stick in a philosophical one and one on Golding's methods of describing the setting- was thinking for ages on which to do because they were both so terrible, but in the end I decided on the setting one. I couldn't even think of anything to put in the plan so I decided to make it up as I went along- BAD IDEA!!! But this must be very boring so I'll stop whining now. :D

I intend to do lots of art in the near future, now that I have a bit more time, so look out for new pieces! I am still really enjoying my new ability to search (thankyou phil)- I'll be so sad when my subscription runs out! I don't think I use deviantart enough to get a full-time subscription though.
I am really looking forward to seeing the new harry potter film! :excited: It's my favourite book, so it better be worth the excitement. Ummm what else can I say? At the moment I can't stop listening to weezer's blue album (even though it's really old, I'm having a craze on it) and I've been playing final fantasy x again, getting all the aeons and secret items- the magus sisters are the coolest!!! :w00t:

The final exciting thing of the day is that gemma (you may know her as rainbowblossom) sent me her pictures of us at alton towers and they are so cool and funny! Thanks gem!!! :hug:

Some people were dressed up- I just wore a normal skirt and top with a tiara.
On tuesday, it was the night of my first ever Incubus concert! I had such a great time, the atmosphere was amazing and so were Brandon, Mikey, Jose, Ben and Kilmore. I was especially ecstatic when they played all my favourite old songs off S.C.I.E.N.C.E - even Summer Romance! :excited: But that's enough babbling about that! :lol:
On wednesday, consequently I was extremely tired and my throat hurt from singing/shouting along all night- but it didn't stop me from having fun at ALTON TOWERS! I went round with a group of my best friends, going on all the rides - Nemesis, Air, Ripsaw, Black Hole and Congo River Rapids were the best, and Duel (haunted house) the funniest! It was so fun! :D
Of course I'm on a bit of a low now because it's back to revision. French oral on monday, argh!!!
