Mood: Too many past papers
Reading: J.S.Mill - On Representative Government

I have 5 days of school this week and 3 days of the following left until I finish school! I'm looking forward to the revision, rather than the relentless flow of past exam papers that I have been endlessly trawling through. I know that they're beneficial, but honestly...

I already have a nice tan line on my arm from my silver band, and had my first ice-cream of Summer 2006 on Thursday! I fell asleep in the sun and then went and voted for the first time! I'm not that big on local politics - it's really not very interesting - but i was amazed (and shocked) to find that people didn't even know that there was an election taking place! It also provided me with the name "geek" on Saturday at Guildhall when I could recall exactly which parties had won what in Norwich! Is that a bad thing? Not the geek bit, but the recall?

And I must congratulate my friend Erdem for coming 3rd in the Rachmaninov Piano Competition in Russia - you are Mr. Wonderful!

I have a lunch-time concert at St.Martin-in-the-Fields on Monday 15th May. If you're free, please come! And there is going to be another in the Barbican Hall on Tuesday 23rd May. The same applies.

I have my french oral exam on Friday. Am certainly not looking forward to it! But it will be a relief to finally finish talking about complex moral issues, and so am celebrating big time in London on Saturday night!

So, I think that that is my life up-to-date! My brain has stopped working properly, and I doubt it will return to normal until July. Also, don't expect too much from me on here between now and then - I need AAA!

it's the second day back and i've so much to do already.
'tis my 18th this weekend, but the prospect of work overshadows it rather.

they have finally arrived. finished school this week and last official guildhall today, though i have concerts next weekend. you're all welcome to come.
i only have 4 more weeks of lessons before exam leave - eeek!
today wasn't too bad in fairness, apart from the weather and the events between 5.30pm and 7.30pm. but they shall be pushed out of the mind.

tomorrow, i'm going to do lots of sleeping and lots of music practise. i had a wonderful recital last sunday, with local press and everything. and it was great to see two old friends again and spend some time with them after.
and goodness knows what i shall be doing for the rest of the week. relaxation? revision? job-hunting? practise? rehearsals? socailising? i'm having my hair done on thursday, so any suggestions would be appreciated. i think i want it coloured - it looks hideous at the moment, as anyone who was lucky enough to see me today can testify!

now, i must go to bed. i'm so exhausted - last 7 days have been completely hectically crazy and i haven't had any time to myself!

i can't figure out why but i've been trying to put off all the school work i have to do. i've done it this evening and yesterday, and now it's beginning to irritate me - why can't i settle down and complete something?
i've got so much to do, and so little time to do it. school finishes for easter next week, and i have politics synoptic and comparative and american papers everywhere, and the same with french - i am not liking my french oral exam - and music, well that's not so bad really.
so, here i am trying to waste more time. i haven't done any clarinet practise recently though, which isn't good considering i have a fairly important concert thing on sunday - all norwich's important people are going to be there! but i did do a fair amount of piano earlier. i can feel the beethoven giving me RSI again - i wish he wouldn't, the music is so wonderful, it's just too painful for me to play! and the performance doctor (a special doctor!!) told me i shouldn't type too much either! woops!

well, my last february half term is nearly over, and it has to have been one of the worst weeks off school i've had. i was really looking forward to having a week to relax and see friends and catch-up, go out, spend some time in london etc.
friday and saturday were great. GSMD student bar was graced with my presence on friday night, and it was great to catch up with old friends. and had a wonderful time on sat night with issie and ted.
unfortunatly, sunday i became ill, and i am still not better. at first i thought it was a cold, then flu, now my father says it's an infection of some part of my throat. anyway, it means that it's very painful for me to eat, breathe and talk. so i've spent the week at home living off lemsip, various other medications and hot drinks. i haven't even felt well enough to read, which says a lot! as for school work, there is so much of it, and really only tomorrow left to do it, and i don't think i'm going to feel well enough to do it.
added to my illness(es) this week, i've had various emotional things to deal with too.

i think i am going to need another week off to recover!
i suppose at least i can look forward to my mother coming home next weekend - i haven't seen her since the beginning of january.

well, i've been a member for nearly a week, just a few hours short, so thought maybe it's time to make a journal entry.
in actual fact, i'm just putting off the fact that i have a composition due in tomorrow, but i have found no inspiration for it and am finding it incredibly difficult. it's fairly likely that i won't make another entry for a while - i tend to be rather sporadic with these type of things!

well, i went to a ball last night. 'twas the sports club i used to play for before i ran out of time! it was wonderful to see everyone again and catch up and talk. and lots of new faces. the food was amazing, and by the time the dancing started properly, most were rather drunk.
it just so happens that one of the guys there is friends with the owner of a nightclub and had managed to get us free entry. was rather worried about turning up at a club in a long black ball gown, but was escorted in by three tail-coat-wearing males.
apparantly there were lots of photos taken throughout the evening, but i don't remember, though i do remember the things that went on between some people that will go down a storm at school!
nevertheless, it must be said that i woke up this morning not feeling particularly wonderful, though a run in the cold soon sorted that out.

have done nothing amazing today, apart from getting myself locked into the school grounds. it's a long story, but in short, after chapel this morning, flic and i decided to take a short cut through the cat close. got to the front gates of school to find them nicely padlocked, but we could see cars in the car park over the wall. so we decided that the gates into the car park must be open, so we climbed over the (rather high) wall. only to find that those gates were also padlocked! only choice was to climb back over the other wall and go right back around the otherside of the cathedral and the cloisters, or to climb over the very high spiked fence. typically, both of us being hungover, we chose the latter, and regretted it!

the wonderful Charles Clarke is coming to visit my school tomorrow morning. should be interesting. i get to miss cathedral because of it. but i can't think of any unusual questions to ask him. i think i'm having a day without any imagination or inspiration whatsoever - i don't like it!!

oh well, only five days until half term, and i'm very much looking forward to going out for a meal with my french class and teachers on thursday, and then seeing french films. tuesday involves the year book mug shots - joy, need to find some imagination for those. and also need some imagination for the year book questions - any help on the following would be much appreciated.

quote/phrase/moto:
where do you imagine yourself to be in 10 years time:
how would you like to be remembered:
who was your first/most significant crush:
party trick/unusual talent:
if you were a ... type of drink/food/animal/car/mode of transport/other inanimate object, what would you be and why:
favourite extra-curricular activity:
if you were on a desert island, what one item would you have to have and why:
who is your favourite character from history/literature and why:
