War broke out on the 19th of January, 2009, concerning one !Prince-des-Sots and the value of the thread "Talk Like Sots" seen [link] .

One front, lead by `votemark, were against the thread. They did not neccessarily have any opinion of one Mr. !Prince-des-Sots himself, but it was the thread that was to be the seed.

On the other side, lead by =bohobella, threadmother, were the defenders of the thread. They rather liked the thread, and many rather liked !Prince-des-Sots.

Riding atop llamas, the dArama began.

The battle was a grueling one of two long days. There were many casualties, so much that could have been avoided if !Prince-des-Sots had not been a naughty child.

Journals left and right, seniority put into question on a couple sides. Llamas were everywhere! Though that was mostly because members of =bohobella's army fell off drunkenly and the llamas escaped.

And then, finally, peace.

The morning of January 21st brought peace to both nations. Between 8 - 9 AM EST, =bohobella's party brought forth a sign of peace to `votemark's tribe.

After careful negotiation, the 1 Mudkip peace offering was accepting, and the Treaty of Mudkip was signed.

Peace could be had by all.

I hate making journals over drama. But as `votemark did I felt we need two sides.

What was the harm of the thread?

Really, what?

!Prince-des-Sots won FORUMER OF THE YEAR. He left all others in the dirt, also in COMPLAINTS FORUMER OF THE YEAR.

He was a good friend to many. Loved by many.

He broke rules. We don't approve. But we can't ask why, so the thread I made was strictly a no talk about the ban thread.

But as anyone who saw it noticed, some people weren't too pleased. But I really don't have more to say than what I've said.

What can I conclude about all this?

Some of you really shocked me on where you stood in this little drama.
Some people my assumptions of what an ass they were, were correct.
Some people I didn't know wuved me more than I realized.
Some people's lives revolve waaay too much around deviantART.

I love this site. I spend too much of my free time here, undeniably. Don't get me wrong on that. Maybe that's why I built a relationship with a user like Sots?

I hope old Sotsy appreciates the bubble of drama he's created

Whoever the fuck voted for me, I appreciate the thoughts. You don't realize how much it made my day. I didn't think I stood a chance, there were plenty of well-respected competitors and my very dear =SylverKitsune I was sure would win the hearts of all the forumers. For the first FORUM NEWSLETTER of 2009, I'm going to need some help stringing it together! How so?

The winners don't have any prizes! Since short of funds, we need GRAPHICS! With a design in mind, I call upon anyone willing to do a very basic piece to be used in the prizes for the forum newsletter Gala winners!

Requirements?

Anyone interested can comment here and/or note me, and I will note to those interested what I need drawn. We need anywhere from ONE to SIXTEEN graphics. So that leaves room for sixteen artists or one artist taking on multiple tasks.

The drawings will be extremely simple and shouldn't be time consuming. They will be small in size.

And here's the kicker!

Whoever is willing to do the graphics will know the winners of THE FORUM NEWSLETTER AWARD GALA first!

So please help out and donate the small time it'll take to make a graphic! Get credit for your work, have your graphic featured AND a sneaky peak at the winners!

The only challenge here is that I need these graphics finished by the morning of DECEMBER 31st 2008 at the very latest.

Things are looking good. We have over 60 ballots in and some definite secured winners. We need to get these prizes going!

Unfortunately there wont be any subscription prizes. None were donated and I lack the proper cards to do it myself. Next year, perhaps!

At 5:01 PM, this October 5th, I got the news from across the Atlantic puddle. Jeffy, who'd been deemed missing by his friends for mere minutes, was found to be dead.

Jeffy had been young and hopeful. A refugee from the Korean war, Jeffy Lee was a nice guy. He donated all his money his big business - Mister Lee - made to charity, only keeping enough to keep his business going.

But, his life was cut short. His exact birth date was not known, but he was at the prime of his life.

And tragedy struck.

A photo of Jeffy taken just minutes before his passing:

RIP, beautiful Jeffy. You're laughing up in noonoo heaven now.

Who would do such a horrible thing?
Who would hurt a young noodle in it's prime?
What ended Jeffy's life?!

Two points to cover today: Deviant of the Year nominating and the last newsletter.

First off, lolly, I love you - the sudden boom the newsletter got was SHOCKING, but amazing.

The newsletter usually gets around 60 s in total. Sometimes only 50 or so, and it's often not until the end of the month does it hit 60.

The last newsletter, issue 7, got 91 s in under 1 day of being posted.

And I'm sure lolly helped.

Anyways, Christmas is upon us in almost exactly 3 months. I fucking love Christmas!

So I had an idea, inspired by =Shale-Sage actually.

I love presents, and Christmas dinners, and Christmas decor... But best of all, Christmas cards

So I propose, a Christmas card swap!

Would anyone be interested?
I'd remind yous guys when it's actually Christmas tiem. You know, december-y.

But basically, I'd make ~user a chrismas card and mail it a la snail mail to ~user, and in return ~user would do the same and snail mail it over to =bohobella

'Course, it would depend how much of a bitch shipping feels like being. But otherwise, I love combining christmas, cards and snail mail!

As any active forumer should know, today was `VernonX9000's last day as a staff member on deviantART, and he'll be taking a complete leave from deviantART itself. Thursday, I was given word from Vern himself of his own departure.

'Saddened' is the quick way to put my reaction. Vernon was a great @ and a great guy to talk to around here. I'll definitely miss his comments and input about the forum newsletter, and all those birthday wishes.

He gave me complete right to copy & pasta any quotes I'd like to from his journal announcing his leave, but as it's only the start of the month, that issue won't be in the works for days. With the feeling that I had to do something relevant to dear Vernon in his honour, but with no newsletter to type up, this is my pre-newsletter tribute. You can expect a long segment in the Newsletter's forum news.

Be sure to read 's journal on the subject if you haven't already. Click here for it.

Appreciate him for all the hard work he's done for us and remember all the fun we've had with him around.

I gotta say, the newsletter will be a little less fun without Vernon's send-ins and remarks on the newest issues.

But this'll sure be one story for next month's issue.

In closing, though, thanks Vernon You wont be forgotten, that's for damn sure.

Matt and Trey Underwaaaaaaaater!, what is my little animated series, needs voice actors. The first episode is due to be animated but first I'd like to have the clips ready.

Want to be a voice actor/actress for this animated series?

Currently the requirements are very low, so act now and get a lead role!

You will need:
A microphone.
Capable of sending your voice recordings to bohobella via e-mail or messenger.
Capable of doing male voices.

We're currently looking for someone to play the part of Matt Stone and Trey Parker (see: [link] Matt = Beige shirt, Trey = Blue shirt, neither are Jimmy Kimmel).

We're willing to have one actor/actress play both voices, or two seperate actors/actresses. Men and women welcome.

The voices do not have to be identical to that of Matt and Trey. The closer the better, but what's more important is that we'll be able to stay in contact with the voice actor/actress and he/she will do her needed part.

What's in it for you?

Credit, of course.
You'll have your own page with bio and links to any of your own sites (deviantART or otherwise) on the M&T Underwater website (under construction!), in all episodes credit, etcetera.

Who just saw MATT STONE and TREY PARKER live in person?

Who watched him get out late of a Just for Laughs van and have him only feet away?

Who now fucking loves the Just For Laughs festival?

Seeing Matt Stone and Trey Parker is amazing. I strongly recommend it. South Park Live had everything one could want from the two.

They opened the show in Canadian voices, asking us to give a warm Canadian welcome to Mistah Matt Stone and Trey Parker. Then, a classical-sounding version of Shut Your Fucking Face Uncle Fucker was to follow.

Quite a few songs actually:

-Kyle's Mom's a Bitch

-Pearl Harbour Song
-The Most Offensive Christmas Song Ever

And there was probably some more.

They covered a lot more Team America than one would expect for "South Park Live", and while I haven't seen it, it was enjoyable none the less.

They're quite talented and it makes me sad you can't really hear THEM sing all that often, but I found copies of DVDA's stuff and am hoping for the best

So, definitely meet the creators of South Park if given the chance. There was talk about all sorts of things: Mr. Mackay (which I'll admit was a bit repetitive to what he always does when talking about him), Chef & Isaac, Team America/Orgasmo, the other animations (Spirit of Christmas and the one before that non-south park)... And tons more.

I have audio clips of it all Some are admittedly shitty but the audio from them just talking and joking is good, as is *some* of Kyle's Mom's a Bitch. Don't Say Fuck turned out the best, and The Most Offensive Christmas Song ever (which they claim was a world premiere of the uncensored, clear version with all the lyrics in tact) was also a pretty good copy.

1- I could drink anywhere from 0 - 10 cups of tea a day given the chance and enough tea cups. Sadly, I do not have enough tea cups.

2- I'm pasty white but my mother is Jamaican. You wouldn't ever guess if you saw how white I am.
