BTW, I just wanted to know your opinion about choosing between Visual Arts and 3d Animation...

I just wanted to try, call and reserve a scholarship initiative slot I've seen from GMA7 Kapuso Foundation... Yes, I guess that's the only way to get back to school, and I've just lost my job, so I guess the timing is just right...

Which is better between Visual/Graphic Art or 3d Animation Course?

For myself I would like to stick in visual arts because I seemed to learned some techniques here at DA... and I more like it...

but... I think choosing 3D animation would broaden up my knowledge and I might still learn Visual Arts (but without further or intense learning from this field.)

Please help me deciding what to choose... Thanks ^__^

It seems that our PC began to be overused...

So I volunteered myself to avoid / to not use it anymore...

Perhaps, my elder brother and cousins, are avid gamer. Consumes their whole day, playing... yeah and all night...
(I'm gonna find a job soon... I'll risk my fragile health to it... If only my body is the same as my brother, then I have no proplem landing at any job...)

Wala kaming internet connection kahapon, nakalagay e NO CONNECTIVITY pero naaccess ko yung CANOPY(SMARTbro). Nadedepress ako dahil walang connection kaya pinakialaman ko yung settings.
Kung ano anong ginawa ko pero wala pa rin...

Ngayong gabi, pinakailaman ko ulet, may connection na, kaso bigla mawawala, bigla magkakaroon, tapos mawawala na naman.
Ayun, nag take ako ng risk. Pinakailaman ko na yung ibang settings bukod dun sa Quality of Service, pinakailaman ko yung iba.

Nung in-apply ko yung changes then reboot, di ko na maaccess yung canopy. hehehe, nabasa ko sa forums, once na na-enable mo yung DHCP, (yeah yun yung kaisaisa kong binago, afterwards eh nawala connection sa CANOPY) eh di mo na maaccess yung canopy/antenna.
Tinry ko yung mga tips sa forum, pero wala nangyari. binago ko yung sa services.msc + yung properties ng connection, IP Address etc na nakalagay dun sa forum... wala talaga!

Then, may nabasa ako nanapakahabang FORUM, inabot ako higit 1 hour, tungkol yun sa override plug / resetter... dAMN!!!! ibababa? yung canopy?!!! eh ang taastaas nitong bahay ng tita ko! hindi yata abot kahit dalawang "tangan-tangan/wood ladder"...
waah, mukhang wala na akong magagawa...
sabihin ko na lang kay kuya, kaso imposible naming maakyat yung bubong! kailangan ng ladder na tulad ng sa technician/meralco...

Earlier, this day, just past midnight, I am alone at our house.
Alone means somewhat boring right?
I'm just lucky I had my brother's MP4 player.
I just explored every folder there, then I got into the videos...

And yes I checked every piece of them, until I got this Doggy-Girl.wmv thing~
Hehehe, from the name itself, it reminds me of something worldy XD

But!!! It's fake, what's in it, is the literal meaning of the title...
It's a DOG that has a head of a GIRL, damn! It's freaky... especially when all the lights turned off, you're all alone and your world is very silent~
That's disturbing for the it has a somewhat distorted/undeveloped body of a dog, and a very freaky face of a girl; a dog-sized body, but small legs, and face of a girl, but it has distorted nose, a mouth just like a dog, black inside including the gum I think, and eyes that the iris occupies the whole eye...

There's a commercial happened and I think it promoted a site... together with Muslim Letters, there's a site, with somewhat evil connected letters and numbers popped out the screen... Then, they zoomed it at the very freaky head~

Damn!!! it freaked me out, especially when you maxed the volume and heard the indistinct Muslim language, and the growling and hissing of the dog-girl...
I can't sleep after that, I just burned my ears from loud music, covers my whole self with my blanket, and waited 'til the sun goes up... Then I slept about 7AM...

Hahahaha, I'm a scaredy-cat!!!

I noticed that, weird things happen every 3AM, yeah, that movie was played exactly 3AM at my watch...

I also remembered the weird sound of an evil-like-laugh from my boarding house back 2006... I'm alone in my room that moment... but not in the whole apartment...

Lessons:

I should never explore things when I'm alone at the dark...

I should never stay awake 'til 3AM unless I'm not alone...

Now, I'll share you why I have to apologize from my past journal...

I'm SORRY for I have been gone for almost a month, for not submitting anything.
-For I've been depressed that my mother got out of her job, and to know that something really bad happened from her relationship with her boss/friend/kumare.
-Because of knowing that my father, I'm just thinking, just made my mother believe for his false promises... I thought that my family will be okay again... I'm just loosing hope...
-Because I'm pretty busy to stay up late at night to help my mother for doing Siopao, haha! yeah, because we don't have an income, so we have too. Well, I'm always eating that time, believing I'm going big/fat, but not... I'm still a thin boy...
-Because I have discovered that my own PC was just a lie... My father texted my mother that I should not bother my uncle for asking that PC, for that my uncle has personal problems... Aww, or should I say, sinulot ng kung sinuman, kasi nareceive ko yung e-mail niya na hintayin ko for about 3wks+ because shipping from US is that long... And yep my father is not staying with us, and I'm not really sure for what he is saying... Oh, sorry for the rant... I'm not sure about the sulot-thing, sorry, because I'm really expecting for that thing...

For just watching few episodes, I know I'll be hooked in it...

Oh my... I'm downloading Soul Eater Episodes from a site.
The site was good, first, I think there'll be no problems for I have downloaded 4-EP by 24-hrs, their rmvb file format is an advantage and I guess to rare to find, and downloading is fast too...

BUT!

This afternoon, I should be downloading the 5th EP but the files are removed... I thought it was only a minor problem, but checking on the past EP(s) I've downloaded, I found out that they were removed too... Ang malas ko naman!!!
I'm trying to find other sources, there is, but they aren't so good...

Oh well, I'm watching and downloading Gundam 00 besides Soul Eater...
Another great anime! but I feel much better with Soul Eater

I guess I should start catching-up Naruto/Bleach instead XD

And that kept me losing my drive in doing some art/anime related thing...
I don't know, maybe by just watching again any anime would inspire me again...

Anyone could give me an anime that:

-Has complete episodes

-Has a few episodes (For about 20-40 or not getting a hundred)

-Ninja/Action/Adventure/Fantasy genre (I like any genre as long as I'm hooked but, when I'm watching, my brother and cousins are watching too, they are into Naruto/Bleach/Ueki/Samurai-X or any action, they don't like Death Note or the like, they keep on complaining/reacting)

-Could be downloaded in LQ(Low Quality)and please give me the site, please~

-I'll be watching it on a DVD-Player, I'll just copy it on USB/Flash Drive (I'll convert it to MPEG if possible)

I noticed a topic from the Forum entitled "Learning to Draw for Beginners", he said that he like to learn about anime (but it is gone now), there are many repetitive threads, most of them are encouragements and hints/tips, but what caught my attention is a thread with a introductory line "Forget about Anime Books... etc."

He said that Loomis' Books helped him a lot, as well as George Bridgman's "Complete Guide to Drawing from Life".
I visited his site and he seems to be working pretty well...

I have glanced to it the same day, and find it more informative than other tutorials (of course, it's a book ) I am inspired, because there are a lot of things that is written there, that I know is needed to create a beautiful artwork... At that moment I think that will be pretty easy to study... The idea about COMPOSITION made me more excited...

I printed the First Chapter of Loomis' "Figure Drawing", 36 pages...(Yeah, I skipped "Fun with Pencil")...
and Last Night, I tried to read it more deeply and to do it actually... The first is all about Male Figure...

At my first trial I tried to copy the same proportions from the book, the anatomy looked pretty well, but I tried to draw clothes too... That was a bad idea... The clothes looks odd (I guess I should set aside clothing for a while, and try to learn from it one at a time)
I think the figure from the book is very bulky/realistic, what I want is ANIME...

The second trial, I tried to draw anime-ish, but the figure seems to be muscular and lacks height...
The third is a less bulky appearance, but it is not good... I quit after that trial...

I have read more from that chapter, and it gives me an idea about PERSPECTIVES by HORIZON, BOXES, FLAT, etc.; POSE, CENTER of GRAVITY, etc...
(Madami pa akong kakaining bigas, wooh!)
But I shall not give it all up!!!
I know all of these things leads to successful results...

For now, I should forget thinking about anything else, I should finish all the pages of those books one by one...
But I should keep in mind that my target is ANIME/MANGA style.

What the... My drawing skill is still like a grade school student's.

I don't have money, so I don't have any food for my birthday(I only have 100 peso bill here, me and my lola's budget for 2 days I guess)... and people here in my auntie's home forgot that today's my birthday, so sad. My mother, father and sister seems the only person who knows my birthday, they sent a birthday greeting thru SMS.

Okay, I'll buy 4 packs of yakisoba (spicy chicken, my fave) for a treat!!! ^__^

(whoa, it has no problem before I left...) So, I'm not able to use Photoshop and Painter properly... I have to leave the digital world for a while okay???

For now, (swearing) I will start drawing traditionally, I won't look back until I'll have what I'm waiting for... Yah, I guess scanning isn't that troublesome for our poor PC.

I know all of my watchers will be disappointed for my upcoming deviations, I apologize... I'm not a good sketch / line artist...

hehe, at last nakahawak na ako ng PC sa bahay...

I tried things na naiisip ko habang wala pa akong chance makahawak ng PC, I was a bit surprised kasi ganun pala, kapag di mo nagagamit yung kamay mo sa pagkulay... yung background na nagawa ko, medyo iba dun sa usual na ginagawa ko... hehe, kakagulat!!!
To give you some idea, I tried to create flames and lightnings... as background...

kaso yun pa lang yung nagagawa ko, balak ko dagdagan kaso na-iintimidate ako sa tito ko... ayaw kong gumawa habang nandito pa siya...

medyo na-down din ako kasi, habang naglalaro ng Visualboy Emu yung pinsan kong babae... ehh, nagstuck na naman ang PC... haiz, it gave my tito's idea na ibenta na lang daw yung PC, azar... sana di matuloy...
hindi naman talaga ganun kadalas dati yung pag-stuck ng PC na yun nung wala pa siya... kasi may nilagay siyang mga software at mga bagong parts dun simulang nagloko yung PC, halos araw araw naghahang... sabi ko nga sa sarili ko na siguro hindi compatible yung hardwares na dala niya... I tried to explain, pero iniinsist pa rin niya na hindi naman daw ganun kasi mas maayos nga daw yung gamit niyang PC abroad compared dito... hay, hayaan ko na nga...

Applying all the things I discovered... and applying, for the first time, Select> Feather...

It's like a cel-shading but with lots of layers...

While I'm coloring Rukia, yeah, I'm done with Ichigo...

I'm just finished doing the Flats and halfway for the whole skin...
Yeah with highlights, shadow, and shades, backlights etc...
POWER FAILURE... (tama, brown-out)
It came back and started to begin with the flats again, and then It turned off again, again, it's all because of brown-out...

And again, because of perseverance... I tried to start It all again for Rukia, but, the Power's off again...

Ahh, I hate it!

Instead of coloring... I just played... uhh, and it never happened again...

2) Then, get a Job (I'm full of school, I wanna work... for money!!!)
3) Coloring/Drawing Materials (Pentablet, Copic Markers...etc. and having my own PC, and broadband connection, dA Addict XD)
(we can't afford that T_T, mahirap lang kami)

and hope those things na nawala sa kin bumalik na...

hahaha, My older brother seems to bring back his talent in drawing...
He used to sketch lots of drawings way back in high school, I actually idolized him especially in robotics (transformers madalas i drawing, sariling concept nia ^^)...
Maybe, He saw my dA folder and maybe he took a peek...
He copied my folder specifically, the drawing tuts at linearts...
(sana magdrawing ulet sya... ^^)

From long weeks of not going to school...
Some of my classmates are surprised...
They said that they missed me...

aww...
I felt the same way to...

On that day, I thought about dropping my subjects...
But my classmates said I should not...
Mohi, Ney, Eli persuade me to continue what I've started...

Well, they have the point...
and on that time...
I was thinking of them...
Inspired to continue this...

Oh, I'm enlightened by the words...

Then, we saw ma'am Novida, our proffessor in JAVA...
I asked about my current standing in class...

She don't talked about it, instead talked about my problem...
She said I should overcome this...
( So should I... )

and then I asked again...
She said, few words, "You should attend my class, and don't be absent again...
( Thank GOD, I thought I'll be dropped automatically for absences I've commited...)

Weehee...

and then in History class again, exams!
I've cheated again...
More than those copies opened...
I asked my seatmate about the answers...
anyway, I'm not the only one who did that!

(except Ney and Prado, Jebsen and other who can do it on their own)
I hope we'll pass the nonsense!


then again, it's time to go home...

BUT!

they said I should join the group to create our case study in Data Structure...
I was hesitant about that, cause I think I'll waste my time staying at other house...
while we're walking... near at the point where I usually took a ride home...

Then after a long hour of commuting...
We arrived at mohi's home (together with a long walk)...
at Caloocan City...

We felt shy going inside the house but since her mother asked to come inside (so nice and generously)...
we went inside without hesitations...

anyway, I'm together with Noel, Nathz, Jerome, Harvey and Ney...
and Of Course Maan(Mohi)...

We all felt like we are on our own houses...

A mushroom soup welcomed us...
ehehehe, Food! all of us like it!

Paksiw na Bangus, and Fried Chicken....
The dinner opened the topic about my current problem...
aww...
they said It's good if I'll stay at Mohi's home if possible...
Yes, Mohi's intellect will help me at studying...

Yes, all of that were done while we're also doing the case study...

Here's what can I say about that time:
CANON invasion! Harvey, Nathz and Jerome tried to memorize the piece... but they need the guide... anyway they played very good for beginners...
Me? I played Swan Lake most of the time...
Yes, I memorized it without the guides, cause It's always a single key unlike canon...
Noel teached me a basic piece...

uhh, because I arrived home last thursday night, very very late, and very tired from the MIDTERMS, I slept suddenly... and did not review for the midterms(again) tommorrow...

Saturday morning, I woke up early, that was 4am, and I still want to sleep. But it's our midterms at Speech Communication and Philippine History, so I dorced myself to wake up...

From Pililla, I rode the jeepney, and reviewed the "Invictus"(our piece for the oral exam in speech com), aww, that was very annoying, I felt dizzy at the jeepney...

and on Junction I rode the bus, still I managed to review the piece but distracted by the TV shows...

I arrived at school, before 9am(our schedule for speech comm), aww, and practiced the speech... I'm always confused at the 3rd and 4th stanza... The words are: "lane" instead of "gate, "hollow" instead of "horror", etc...

and now the time has come... Ms. Angeles entered our room, and I wasn't prepare...

Here's the bad thing, Ma'am noticed me and said that I'm a new face at that section(because I'm often absent Saturdays)...

The exam started, there are things I do not expect on that exam:

1)When I excused to go to the CR, I said if I may go to the CR, then answered that why should I go out coz I'm already not in the room, I am completely invisible to them, at our class... (She indeed implied that I do not belong at that class), I felt bad and explained then she asked if I'll continue to halt the exam, then I went out...
That thing made me annoyed and started to be intimidated to ma'am

2)There are some of my classmates that are unexpected to perform that way, we expect them the way as they do normally shows, but "Jebsen", "Janice", "Sarah" etc. performs the way I am not expecting, wow! especially Jebsen....

3)I didn't make it well, because of the things that happened, It made me nervous very much...

Yeah and the exam ended...

Next: EXAM for Phil History

aww, we took the lunch break...

and spent the remaining hours making "kodigo" hahaha!
It's my first time to make that...

At our History exam, it's about computation and enumeration(all about the presidents of the Phil):

at that time:

1)Surprisingly, Me and Sarah, do the same things, exactly, (but we are far from each other), but I erased it and got the right answer but Sarah did not... We are he only person who did it that way, aww...

2)Cheating helps a lot!

That's all bout the exam...

Our group decided to play DotA but I did not, I'm the only decided to go home...(reason: money and location(lau ng bahay q))

I walk with Ney and Mohi, Lou saw us and walk with us too, I bought bananacues for us(Yeah, It's my treat) but after that Lou decided to go back to the PC shop, aww,(naisahan ako)...

We, went to the church to pray(wow! I'm not used to go to the church but since I am together with Mohi's group(Mohi, Ney, Eli, Noel, Kim)...
I started to go to the church before leaving Sta Mesa... (that's good)

When I went home, It's the worst traffic I experienced...

Traffic at Ortigas!!!
and
The crowd waiting for Tanay jeep seemed to be a crowd of ants gathering at the same place (fortunately I ride easily)
and
SUPER HEAVY TREAFFIC from UNCIANO to BUDGETLANE;
SUPER TRAFFIC at ZIGZAG ROAD to SOLID CEMENT!!!!

awww! I felt bad!!!
