Yes, the contest is officially opening~~~
And because I'm a writer, there shall be two parts to this contest!

~Literature~

Your task is to write any of my Shad characters in the situation or your choice...I suppose you could call it a fanfic!

Make it into anything you want: Narrative, poem, chat log...Comedy, adventure, romance...anything that fits into the literature gallery. There aren't enough literature contests here on dA. ><

If you wish, you can make it a crossover with your own original characters!

Just make sure that any crossover characters are yours, and, well, try to keep my characters in character as well!

Try to keep it rated PG-13 and below...nothing overly raunchy, and no yaoi/yuri, please! Let's keep it enjoyable for everyone~

There is no limit to the entry length, just make sure it's not too long.

I shall be the sole judge, with opinions accepted from polls and friends of mine IRL who have not entered.

Entries will be judged on...

Accuracy: Make sure the characters stay in character. I understand it may be difficult to write certain aspects because the story isn't finished yet, but do your best.

Dialogue Okay, even if you don't like writing dialogue, you gotta have at least a little bit of it.

Quantity doesn't matter, just the quality

Originality/Creativity: If you come up with a situation I've never even dreamed of...score, that's where this comes in.

Skill: You don't have to be a master at writing, but I'd like to see variations in sentence structure and proper grammar used.

Em's Status

I tend to switch between three different obsession cycles...writing, reading, and music, with video games filling in the gaps. For example, last week I was on my music cycle, hence the long Linkin Park journal.

Current cycle
Writing. Everyone on dA likes me on my writing cycle.

Progress
87 consecutive pages written on my Shad story, that makes five pages since part six. I'll probably post more when I get to twenty, since that's usually dA's limit on submissions.

Any Teasers~?
Shad and Amy have a bit more *free time*, so to speak...but they get in a bit of an argument over Shad's defensiveness...

Well, the internet cut out on me for a few days, so if anyone bothered to notice I was gone, I'm back. With more messages than ever o_o;

Yes, I'm procrastinating again. I should be catching up on my English that's due tomorrow while the internet's working. >.>;;;

I gave myself a b-day present and found LOADS of piano sheet music online. Mostly Linkin Park.

Srsly, about three-fourths of it is Linkin Park, lol. I have the entire Minutes to Midnight album, along with In the End and Numb. I tried to get some Evanescence and Nickelback, but the sheet music is mediocre compared to LP. ><; I downloaded it from someone who transcribed it by ear, so it contains up to three melodies at once (vocals, guitar, bass, drums...pick three.

).

So far, I'm best at In Pieces...it's one of my fav Minutes to Midnight songs.

My second best is No More Sorrow...the drum beats are sooo fun to play, but after a while, it makes my hand go numb. o_o

*randomly bursts into song*

IIIIIIIIII'VE BECOME SOOOO NUUUUMB, I CAN'T FEEL YOUUUU THERRRRRE~~~

*cough* Had to get that out of my system.

I can play all of it except for an impossible stretch of about fifteen notes. X_x I have a feeling that it's only there for MIDI and accuracy purposes...a few of the other songs have impossible stretches as well, and they make the MIDIs sound incredibly accurate with the drums and guitar...I'll have to turn them into duets...
