I need a break.. and I mean a real break.. from dA, poser, all things 3d.. for a few days anyway.

The great friends I've made here is the best part of being here, and I'll miss you! But I'm just flat out fried, burned out, stick-a-fork-in-me...done!! Not that I've been around that much to begin with and I'm sorry about that.

Many things have led me to this.. but the main ones are work and total lack of real creativity I'm feeling right now..

I need to re-charge, re-evaluate... re-connect to other people, places and things.. And give my 3d work a total reprieve.. The plan is NO poser for at least 3 days... I know, 'Yeah Right'! (I heard that)

But I'm going to try. I used to have other interests in my life.. movies and those other things.. can't quite remember exactly what they're called.. oh yeah, Books! And muzic.. Far off, in some dream I faintly remember, there are sounds.. not the ones coming from me.. but the sounds that transend..

So no great biggie here, just a re-adjustment. And my motto is: 'I will delete no Deviation before its' time'.. so I will get to all of them, I enjoy them so much!

Walking down 8th Avenue...

I was going down the block for a little chop (that's a hair-cut for you novices) and I happened on a buddy of mine on 8th Ave, who was in a rather agitated state, and the scene went something like this..

'Hey, Brother! What's the rumpus?'

His face went numb.. he asked, 'You haven't heard?! 7th Avenue has a new landlord!'

'Well, what's wrong with that? These things happen all the time. The 'hood hasn't been the same since the deviants arrived... So what's up?'

'Well, someone was caught stealin'... and I mean caught red handed. The pix are still shinin'.. dead to rights.. they got this creep...'

'Okay, okay', I said, a bit intrigued. 'What did the new landlord do?'

'That's the thing...' He looked over his shoulder and dropping his voice a bit, he said, 'He raked the witness of the theft... I mean he totally berated, bludgeoned and hacked this guy to pieces.. all over the street! In front of everybody. And some others joined in. While still others just watched..'

'Do you know this guy?'

'Yeh, man. I know him. He's a real straight shooter.. a real upstanding... He was only doing what any peep would do. What YOU would do!'

I asked, 'What should we do?'

He moved closer and said, 'You need to check out your flop.'

'What..?'

'Come with me, my friend.'

He led me through a dark, dank cut-through from 8th back to 7th. I never knew of this place... it reeked of death, decaying rats... feces.. raw sewage.

I asked, 'How did you find this?'

'I got ways,' he said...

We slipped from the tunnel and were back to the building where I had a residence. Ok, not a permanent home, but it seemed warm enough in the colder months. We went inside and down my hallway.

My friend said, 'Look...' pointing at what looked like a door, but no ordinary door.. a faint hint of a door.

I looked at the door. I looked at the floor. I stared at my hands... 'Where’s my key?' I asked. I frantically checked my pockets...

'No need for keys, brother. There is no door.'

We got the friggin' hell out of there...

When we had made our way back to 8th, my buddy asked me, 'What do you suppose you did to so piss the landlord off? I mean, really... what are you going to do now?'

'I was just cleaning up. I thought if I cleared the furniture, it would be easier for the bug guys to do their job. Shit, I don't know. Maybe I can crash at your place on 9th…?'

‘Sure.’

We both looked back over our shoulders at the place that once was...

I reached for his hand and he gave it willingly. We shook hands.

'Thank you, my friend. I'll watch yours, you watch mine.'

'Deal.'

That's my little parody... here's MY real story about 7th...
(and please folks, I'm not trying to make light of this situation. It’s very serious, but I tend to go 'satirical' when I'm really riled up)

I chose, having known about all that's been going on over there, to have my gallery removed. BUT! I never mentioned a single thing about why! I just asked to have my gallery removed. I was not involved in any thread about this current issue, I was never mailed about it...I had no contact or any discussion about it. IT, to anyone’s knowledge over there, was not an issue to me. But now, owing to some secret sources, to the good, my page is not there... NO, not just banned, I am an Un-person... Oh, how I love that! An un-person..to them. The ones who have no person, no soul, no decency... This is what I get when I click any link to 7th...

'You have been banned for the following reason:
Lynch mob
Date the ban will be lifted: Never'

I had absolutely no connection to this 'incident', until after the fact...oh, wait..unless maybe I had some connection to a friend who voiced his opinion...? Are they trolling dA? Who's next? Oh, I'm so guilty by association...yep, Guilty! Guilty of knowing someone who voiced their concern about a serious issue..art theft! And if I were a mod/admin, etc.. I'd be out of there faster than one can say 'Law Suit'... Because, technically, you're just as guilty.

Before I was made an un-person, I was willing to forget the whole thing...I don't like controversy (some people thrive on it, BTW) I don't like confrontation. All I wanted to do was use the only form of expression I had to support a friend and fellow artist. And to express support for other artists who have been ripped. That is, remove MY images from a site. I didn't want to bring the stench of that situation over here, but since this is the only other place I can state my position, so be it. Hi gang

Where to start?...

I gotta make some changes. With a fulltime job and other commitments, I can't keep going like I was. I want to get better with my 3D images and I can't if I don't make some major changes. I want to also get more involved here in our little 3D corner of dA. Which means following the Best of 3D Manips News (here's the last one [link] ) ie, looking for new peeps to watch and spending alot of time on looking for images to suggest for this weekly showcase. I've got 10 right now that I want to suggest. It posts every Monday... at the bottom of the article are instructions how to suggest someone's work. It's easy..so do it!!

Some of you may have noticed I haven't been commenting nearly as much as in the past..well, that's the thing I have to cut way back on. That and commenting on journals as well... I still promise to watch all you folks and look at all the wonderful work here. That's part of how I can improve my work too..

Ok, now enjoy these latest gems I've come across..

Jill, has asked me to pass along to all her friends that she has been having troubles. She lost her HDD and is having to use an older one to rebuild some of the freelance things she has been working on. My understanding is that the new HDD will not be up and running until next week, hopefully. She wants everyone to know she is fine, just 'hardware challenged' at the moment. She also will have limited dA access.

You may leave good wishes here for her and I will be happy to pass them on to her.

You may have noticed lately I've made very few

comments on your works. Don't get me wrong...I love

every bit of it...it's just...

I will be taking a minor break for an undetermined

amount of time and will be unable to fully comment on

everything as much as I have in the past. I promise to

still look at everything and to make comments when I

can and will certainly continue to fav... All your work is

one of best things about being here.

I think I need to re-energize in some way. The latest

stuff I've been working on has been giving me fits

That's part of it... But I've also realized I

have to slow down, I need to put more of the limited time

I have into the best work I can do. I don't think I've been

doing that lately...

I do have 3 or 4 items that are at differing stages and will

work on those... They may be uploaded in a flash

(because I can't stand to look at them anymore ) or

they may never see the light of day... OK,

OK...enough whining....

I want each and every one of you to know how much I

appreciate your support and kindness... A few of you

deserve my extra special thanks...
