I've gone muso nuts. Bought WAAAY too much shit. Recording stuff, pedals, new guitars. NUTS.

I don't like my new car. I want my old car back.

In the process of rebuilding my mum's old Ford Escort. I remember getting driven to school when I was in prep in that bad boy. It's a family thing. My dad, my two cousins, and myself. My old Falcon is next on the list after the Escort.

The proposed cover band has gone to shit. The drummer was too busy doin drugs and spending time with her girlfriend to bother. So, if anyone out there knows any drummers in Ballarat keen to join a cover band, let me know.

Still working at Lambys. Friday's and Saturday's now.

The McLaren F1 is the greatest piece of mechanical engineering ever made. Read about it, it's awesome.

No action on the love life front. And that's the way I like it.

Now, bear in mind that NONE of these new photos are edited any more than a small crop on one, and image resizing. I realize these aren't my best shots ever. but they're not too bad.

Now, I know there are so many nice females out there. I have a lot of great female friends. So all my female friends, please don't take offence to any of this.

Why the fuck would a girl have a perfectly nice bloke who's easy going, relaxed, not an arrogant womanizing wanker feel its necessary to shit all over said person, all so she can impress her friends / family / prove how cool she is?

Now, some people who are more in the know regarding my personal life may think that this is a stab at someone in particular. And you'd be right. However, this IS NOT me whinging about it and not being over it. Couldn't care less about her.

My aim with this is to have a rant about women and the way their brain ticks. It makes no fucking sense to me whatsoever.

Chicks whinge about their boyfriends possibly cheating, that they're untrustworthy, when in some cases (I can think of two of my own) they've had the complete opposite in the past. The question is, why piss away EXACTLY what you say you want for something you say is shit?

Let me enlighten you all as to the reason:

) you don't want to seem regretful about what you did so you try to make the not so good situation be / seem better than it could ever be to make yourself feel good about your decision when you know you fucked up.

I'm gonna get personal now.

I have always tried to stay friends with my ex-girlfriends. My attitude is, I had fun with them and they were my friends. So obviously there is a quality I value in them somewhere.

The most interesting part about it, is what I just wrote is complete bullshit. No matter how well you think you know someone, there's always elements about them which you're not aware of.

The last person I expected to completely cut me loose after I was willing to do almost anything for them with no thought of repayment, did exactly that. Cut me loose. Why? Because of a boy. Needless to say, I got angry and said probably the harshest things I have ever said to anyone.

So here's a message going out to my previous girlfriends (except for Katie Morros, you're a champ!):

Not gonna be a long one.

Life is good. Went to Apollo Bay again yesterday, this time in the old man's BF XR6. Not stupidly fast, but certainly enough to get the heart racing! Went with 3 mates, 2 driving and ~scoota269 with me. Fantastic fun. Decided to head onto the Apostles, which was a long and frustrating drive due to fuckface drivers not using the slow turnouts when they are going slow! But oh well. MANY decent skids ripped, and lots of law breaking. Can't complain.

Oh, and if anyone is keen to take me on, my best time from Lorne to Airey's Inlet is 11 minutes.

Aside from that, same shit! Hope everyone is well!

As the journal suggests, instead of kicking back downin' a beer, I am stuck at work writing this. Lucky its a bloody enduro otherwise I wouldn't get to see any of it! I should fit the last 30 or 40 laps in though.

Work isn't too bad. Lamby's is great as usual. In general, life is going awesome. I have good friends around me which I never used to have as much before, financially I am not severely worried, and my gearbox doesn't seem to be fucked!

All added up, it makes for a happy me.

Been a big nerd lately. Gaz (~scoota269) and I have built a server out of the second oldest computer I have lying around at home. It's a Pentium II 333mhz processor, 128mb RAM. It's running openSuse 11 (There ya go Gaz

) with Apache, MySQL, PHP, SSH, NX, FTP, IRC, COD2, and TeamSpeak servers on it. We're also going to be adding a Mail, Print, and most likely COD4 server onto it.

Now, for those NYE celebrations type people, get down to Geelong for New Year By The Waterfront! And then Lamby's afterwards. Great event, and ridiculously cheap taking into account what you get from your money. Check it out, it's fantastic. I'll be working at the event for the third year running this year, really looking forward to it. Would be good to see some familiar faces!

), Test Pilot Molly and Passionfruit Pulp are going to be there rocking out also! Ticket price includes all the booze you can drink and all the food you can eat, plus free entry to Lamby's afterwards. I believe last year the tickets were about 130 bucks or so, so its very good value.

A friend of mine died in a car crash on Saturday. Driver escaped unharmed. Rest In Peace Vauge.

My cousin almost died as well. He drank himself stupid. Doctors say if he drinks again, he'll die.

There's so much I want to say about myself and Katie. But I will say nothing. It's not worth it.

A lot of my friends are splitting up too. Everything just seems to be going to shit.

Well, I thought I should write a journal to let you crazy mofo's know what's going on in the life of Braiden.

Working at IBM now. Not a bad job. Most people would get bored with it, but I seem to like it so far.

Found out that my ex girlfriend is a compulsive liar, which is a shame. She was a nice kid. Shame she was as clever as she was nice. Oh well.

Car's doing better. I have changed struts which has made it go a bit lower. Looks better. Have a lot more stuff to do though, then turbo.

I'm gonna talk about my photography, but there's nothing really to talk about. I don't do it anymore, so anyone waiting for new submissions, 99% unlikely to happen.

I love COD4. I am addicted to it. Started a clan with the housemates. I am such a nerd. :B

Seeing as it has been 7 months since my last journal, I thought I would write another one.

Still with Katie. She's a great girl. Been through many a problem, but come out the other side still together, which is nice.

My career has taken a strange turn. Left my old job as theatre tech at Wendouree Center For Performing Arts due to stupid politics which I won't go into. Got a job the next day doing powdercoating at a place called DW Controls And Automation who build and cable industrial electrical switchboards which was good. Powdercoating was an interesting and at times painful experience. Moved to the electrical section of the company and it all started to go downhill. Left there, and am now looking for a job. Doing lighting on Friday's for a band that have been very good to me for a long time, named Test Pilot Molly at a Geelong club named Lamby's. That's going well, I love it.

I have decided what I really want to do is automotive related. Car electronics, stereos, mechanics, detailing, everything. I am in the process of starting up a in car entertainment business of my own, called bmICE. Check it out! The links are:

Still with Katie almost 7 months. Car is getting a lot cooler. Crippled myself. Both knees, right ankle, right big toe, both shoulders, right hand, left elbow, and now, dislocated right shoulder, as mentioned above. Fell off my skateboard at 40kmph.

Just to clarify here's a list of mods that have been done so far:

Lighting - 2 20cm neaons under each front seat, one 10cm on back of main console to thrown into the back seats, one 20cm underneath sub box overhang, one 30cm replacing boot light. 2 footwell lamps for front seats and ignition barrell light on door opening. 2 Ghia door lamps to be added to back doors in near future.

Switches - 5 aftermarket switches. 3 green toggle switches underneath head unit to control 2 neons under each seat, and 10cm in the back. 2 on hand brake shroud - 1 for power inverter, one for carpc (now removed, for the meantime).

Aftermarket Gauges - All SpecoMeter gauges. 1 tachometer with Shift Light, 1 2" voltmeter, and 1 2" oil pressure gauge. Both 2" gauges housed in 2' chrome SpecoMeter gauge pods. All gauges are backlit in a green. Stock cluster to be changed to a white stencil with green numbers in near future.

Audio - One Fusion subwoofer (12", 4ohms, 200wRMS) with some random amplifier driving it. Pioneer DEH-1450B head unit.

This is not necessarily a bad thing. For instance, not falling in love is great! Stick to things that I hope are not going to end. For example, my career, my car, stuff like that. This could be due to the fact that a girlfriend is the absolute last thing on my mind at the moment, and probably will be for a very long time.

Anyways, thought I'd ramble for a bit.

Fitted clear AU side indicators to my ED, which look sick. Only the rear ones to do now. The next few small mods on the list are as follows:

1. Air intake (XH snorkel, K&N Panel)
2. Cluster stencil
3. Ghia doorlamps
4. Power aerial

Touchscreen fabrication into my dash isn't far away either. It's getting there, very slowly. Nevertheless, getting there.

Working on the ED. Installed oil pressure, voltmeter, tachometer, Fusion 12" sub + amp, bunch of green neon lighting in the boot to suit the sub. Sounds nice. Oil pressure gauge involved ripping half the engine out to get to where I needed to. Good learning curve. I have a list of things that I am working towards for the Falcon. They run as follows:

1. Car PC.
2. Paint Coolant and Wiper Water tanks black.
3. Cluster and stock globe colouring rebuild.
3. Cold Air Intake.
4. Rims.
5. Lowering.
6. Extractors and exhaust system.
7. Turbo and cooling system to suit.
8. Gearbox conversion from 5spd manual to 6spd manual.
8. Detailing.

And possibly a respray at some stage. I'll post some photos to show what it looks like now soonish, once Gary gets them off his camera, because I don't have my camera with me at the new house, which is a shame.

In other news, I am buying a BF XR6 Falcon in under 2 years. Black, with all dints, scratches fixed, and new tyres before I get it. Regular services, 6spd manual. Probably around 15k. Can't wait, so excited.

I really don't have much other news. I'm on leave from work, which is nice.

NYE was pretty good. Worked with Test Pilot Molly down at New Year at the Waterfront running lighting, which was good. After that, ran lighting downstairs at Lamby's in Geelong. Was good. Then went to Monash in Melbourne to find a bunch of my school friend's wasted, including ~scoota269.

I'm in the process of moving house at the moment, moving in with ~scoota269 and his housemate. So that'll be an interesting experience. If anyone wants to know my address for some reason, note me and I will let you know.

Getting paid from WCPA in the near future, still tossing up what I am gonna do with the money. At this stage I reckon I have 3 options. Actually, lets consider this a poll which will have to be done through my journal given the fact I don't have a subscription. So, in your comments on this journal, vote on the poll.

Speaking of carpc's, ~scoota269 and I bought these electronic kits off a Australian company's website hiding in the corner of the vast space that is, the Internet. It allows eight 5v relays to be controlled via a Parallel Port on a PC, given you have the software. Which means, in a carpc domain, we can turn neon lights on and off via our carpc's. As well as being able to chase them. In layman's terms, alternate through the 8 relays. It's pretty fucking cool. We've tested it and it all works perfectly. Only downside is that the LED's are red, not green, which is the colour scheme of both our cars. So, geeky and probably not interesting to anyone reading this, but I got a raging boner over it.

Went to Karova with my good mate ~scoota269. Actually, ~masochist was there as well. We got fuuucked up! Then I went to work at 10am, finished at 8pm. Then off to 21 Arms for the routine drinking. This was with Troy, Shauny Vee, Chipper, Lozzy, and Jonesy. Half price drinks. <3 And, doubles at that (I was drinking scotch). Left at about 1.30am, then headed to the Bended Elbow. Troy, Shaun, and myself stopped off at the Regent for a beer and to watch the Pornstars, of which I personally got a mention, because I was being a pissed wanker and yelling shit at them.

So, after yelling shit and having our beers, we went to TBE. Fuck I hate that club, it really is a shit club. On the way in, we were randomly given VIP passes, because Troy did some work with the owner. So we didn't end up having to pay the cover charge and got free drink cards. We got even more mashed inside there, even though it's a shit club. We fucked off, got food, and went home.

Went to bed, I got up, came to work, and here I am.

Next, tonight, my fucking PDA (which I rely on quite heavily) fucking won't boot. FUCK I AM NOT HAPPY! I've got a right mind to ring that eBay cunt (excuse me, but I really am angry) and fucking abuse him. I just want it fixed. And he still owes me a cradle.

Also, reformatted my computer. Took me 4 formats to finally get a driver for my video card installed. Not the correct driver, but one that actually made it work how it was supposed to. Tried to install Linux on another drive, which didn't work. I'll get to that problem.

So I am ready to murder some poor fucker over all this. Really not having a good time in life at the moment.

I spent $1200 on my car yesterday, getting it a service. And now the hand brake is stuck on. Fuck that makes me angry.

Got a laptop from Grammar though. Which is good. Pity I can't do anything on it, no installing software, no using networks other than the school network. About the only thing they didn't secure, is the BIOS.

Thank god for Linux live CD's.

I now have 4 computers in total, 3 of which live in my car a lot of the time. PDA, Notebook, CarPC. I am a nerd now.

Work is good, enjoying it at the moment. Getting fuck all from SLC though, but that's to be expected. It's a real shame though.

Being Grand Final day and all, the band (or most of) had been drinking all day so by the time they all got to the place for soundcheck, some of them were already half tiddly. By the time the 3rd set came around, the bass player was fucking out of his mind, falling over and all that shit. So they started the set, and he was playing more wrong notes than right notes. And as for backing vocals? Well, he couldn't sing any. So I ended up with the shout mic (the mic I use to talk to the band with from the sound desk) singing all the harmonies from the fucking desk. Geez it was funny.

Last Friday, got a call from a drama teacher from my old school, asking me to come back to do lighting for the Middle School Production. For $30 an hour. Couldn't do the final performance tonight, so I finished last night and my sister is doing the final performance. The reason I couldn't do the final performance, is because myself and Troy are off to a distant land in a very slow truck at a very stupid hour of the morning (I'm writing this before I leave. It's 7.48am). So I came out of the production with a 4 figure number before tax, which is cool.

This weekend, myself and Troy will be lifting 3.6 tonne EACH in stage paneling alone, which is about a third of what we need to lift. So both our bodies are going to be broken by the end of it. It's gonna be awesome!

Got another car. Falcon panel van. For free. Auto, new engine with 20,000k's on it, no rust, for free. But fuck the interior needs work.

Anyways, gotta head to work.

Even though we won, the referee was fucking hopeless. Right at the start Viduka should've got a penalty due to a Croatian player blatantly holding him back. The ref even forgot to send someone off after two yellow cards (meaning a red card). Pretty poor. FIFA I'm sure will have a nice little look into that one.

On the 28th of May, 2006, 5 days after his 18th birthday, a friend of mine who I used to work on theatre shows with whose name is Martin Salisbury, died of glandular fever.

He is an interesting kid, Martin. I went to his memorial service on Friday 2nd of June to pay my respects. We were meant to be working together this year on a show, he was doing lighting under my supervision.

I didn't really know him that well, I wasn't one of his closest friends, but I knew him. And I will miss him.

Sorry I haven't written a journal in a while, been busy. Holidays for Tafe are about to begin, which is awesome. I have been commissioned (so to speak) to design a studio patching system for WPAC (Wendouree Performing Arts Center) up here in Ballarat, which I've now finished. 408 patches. That's a big patchbay. But it means no-one will ever have to reach behind the mixing console or any piece of gear again. So it's kind of cool. I most post the design up here in the near future, for anyone who wants a look.

In other news about WPAC, I've been in there with SLC rigging the lighting and stuff for the install, which has been quite interesting. A lot of things need to be changed, due to a lighting company doing audio. Go figure.

Not much else to say. Congratulations to ~scoota269 for moving out of home. Good luck fuckfayse.

Also, all the best to two of my friends who have split up recently. It'll all work out.

Tafe's boring, which is something I said in the last journal. From now on, you must assume that Tafe is boring because I will stop writing it as of now. I like the people though.

Been drinking a lot lately, trying to quit smoking, sort of. Going to Aymie's debutante ball this Saturday, which I am looking foward to. I shall make sure to get some photo's for you all. Speaking of Aymie, drop past her page and wish her all the best with her new boyfriend. Looking foward to meeting him and threatening him.

I got the new Tool album, just like everyone else. I hate it. I think it's just shit. Exactly the same as Lateralus.

Installed ~scoota269's car stereo and neons the other night into his piece of shit Commodore. God, I almost spewed while working on it.

Nah, the system hammers, so I think he's happy, aside from the heating issue.

So, this also means, if anyone out there is wanting electronics installed in the car, such as head units, amps, neons, carputers, GPS, etc, etc, myself and my colleague are the people you need to deal with. Note me if anyone is interested. Bit of shameless plugging.

So, acting upon discussion in the Shoutbox, I have to decided to start a project about them.

This is how it works.

For anyone who asks, I'll make an avatar like mine. The idea is, to get as many people as possible using them. Almost like, an invasion of white dancing bunnies.

However, there are only so many I can make in the little time I have, so once I do all I can, I'll have to stop at that. So I am sorry if people ask for it but I can't make it.

Been busy. Real busy. Comm Games, all that shit. Haven't had a lot of time to do anything other than work, TAFE, and sleep. TAFE is boring, work is great, sleep is fantastic.

Aymie came and visited last Friday, which was good as usual. She met Troy, which was good.

Troy bought a computer for his CarPC, so I am in the process of preparing it to go in his car. Had some issues with it, but it's nice and small and compact so it should be good. We both have Palm handheld's now, which using Palm VNC, can act as a touchscreen for our carputer's, which is good. So I am in the midst of setting them up.

Don't really have much else to talk about.

Considering the time gap between this and my last journal, you might guess I have been busy. Work's been full on, Tafe has been boring as nobody's business. Did a 16 hour shift yesterday, from 11.30am Saturday morning to 5am Sunday morning. That was fun. Did 6 hours at the shop the day before, and will do 6 or so on Tuesday and Wednesday. All that has to fit around Tafe, so it's been interesting of late. Comm Games are basically the main culprit, but anyway.

Where to start..... Tafe is going well, we spent the last WEEK (yes, week), prepping a rock gig in our little Courthouse Theatre which will be broadcast live to the web, right here at [link] so if you are half interested (which I highly doubt), you can check it out.

*angelsdiary came to stay on Friday night to see the family because they miss her and she misses them. We had a good time, and it was all civil. She's a great girl. I know everyone else in the family wants her to visit again in the not too distant future, and I loved seeing her, so I would like her to visit again soon too.

Work has been quite good too. 21 Arms is going quite smoothly. Drive are back every second week now, which makes life easier. Saw Gerverz, Bateman, Butcher and Amy there which was good. Waddle rocked up too, but left pretty much straight away. Saw a few other non-Grammar people too, some I was very suprised to see at 21 Arms.

Had to work the night of my first day of Uni on an O Week gig with the Rogue Traders, Faker, The Vasco Era, and Paperhouse. Was relatively good, nice uni crowd if you know what I mean.

The keys player from the Rogue Traders put his leg through one of our packers, and his monitor engineer just flipped the box over so we wouldn't notice. Lucky I saw the keys guy actually do it. Their front of house tech was also the FOH guy for Midnight Oil, Cold Chisel, and Jimmy Barnes during his solo job. Security was shit, Troy and myself ended up doing most of the pulling people out of the mosh ourselves, poor punters.

Bump out lasted until 4am, got to bed at 4.30am, woke up at 9am to go to Tafe. I'm quite tired.

So I think I am probably going to go to bed. Goodnight.
