So it has taken our old friend ~lady-maree to get me to finally organise a deviantART Meet Up for the month of December 2008

I've noticed some little Brisbane Meet-Ups going on and also this Night Sketch one I found interesting

Where: Southbank Parklands, BBQ Hut near children's swings

When: Saturday 13th December 2008

Time: From 10:30am onwards

What to bring: Art supplies, Cameras, Christmas cards, Christmas gifts [for fellow dA friends or randoms], Crazy hats, Furry suits [what is a furry suit] and any games, frisbees, hula hoops, musical instruments of your liking.

Non-dA Members: Feel free to bring your friends and other friends from deviantART. Be warned that the member from deviantART are usually crazy and hang from the trees and rafters.

Food: It is also essential you bring some form of food, or money to buy food on the day. I will not be providing a BBQ this time around, BBQ's are usually around $100-140 to fund and at the moment my budget is limited. 2009, we can has BBQ.

deviantART Surprises: Maybe. As Always I try to get dA to surprise us with random things from mystical boxes left by unicorns. So being Christmas we can only cross our fingers and hope Santa Fella is good to us!

So 10 votes have decided that we will meet at the South Bank end of Goodwill Bridge. This means you can get off at South Bank train station, go grab some food and head on over to the Goodwill Bridge!

I hope you all had a good Christmas, New Year [Chinese NY Feb 6th] and Australia Day!

There is not much going on at *brisvegas right now so this is the journal to put down your meet ideas. Be it bowling, drinking, swimming, movies, general meet ups and so forth.

I want all of you to give me your ideas for meets, because everytime I throw a meet someone always says they have a better idea for one!

I'd just like to thank those of you who ended up coming to the meet today, it was a little dissapointing to see that not everyone turned up but we had a nice little bunch of people.

We made enough money to cover the food $52.15 and enough to cover the brisvegas cricket set $12.00 but lost money on 4 bags of ice and two packets of chips. Thank you to everyone who put in $5 or more it was very generous of you to do so.

I hope everyone who got a T-shirt, Lanyard, Stickers, Badges or patches were happy. Thanks for getting involved in the cricket... even those sleeping in the out field!

I am sad to say that the Christmas BBQ will be the last one I put on from now on unless enough people request a BBQ [and turn up!] it hurts my pocket when we just scrape up enough 5 cent pieces to cover the food.

I have enjoyed putting these on for all of you and hope that you will all come for the 4th Annual OMFGWTFXMASBBQ!!! I will do my best to get more devWEAR goodies to give away!

Need help getting to New Farm Park? Well I'll give you some maps and locations so your journey will be easier!

If this is too hard to follow contact Transinfo on 13 12 30 to plan your own journey

Do I need a ticket to ride?
Yes you need a ticket but your bus or train ticket will work just fine if it is to ZONE 2

Where do I de-train?
You will get off the train at SOUTH BRISBANE STATION and walk to the CityCat terminal called SOUTH BANK 1&2 where the meet ups will leave from. This is near Cultural Forecourt. For a little view of the Forecourt go Here and you will see where it is in the small panorama movie.

What Time CityCat will be best to catch?
There are a few different times to depart from to get to the devMEET, please allow at least 15 minutes prior to departure to get a group together to travel with, us deviants usually stand out so please don't be shy in asking people to travel along side with.
If one of you wants to be the back and forth person, please by all means go right ahead, I might just give you something special for your efforts!

A: - Yes, I encourage all parents and guardians to come along and meet me and sit in for a while on our meets so they don't think we are a bunch of murderers.
