The year is taking a fresh start. From time to time the sun shows itself, it's not freezing anymore, and ofcourse it's raining a lot

The warmer temperatures and the occasionally sunbeam make me feel good!

It's been a long time since I submitted my last deviation. I couldn't cope with a lot of things, and my days were overfilled with... erm... nothing? Not very much to do, but a feeling I had to do everything at the same time.
But spring brings peace and quiet!

I recently bought me a new camera. Olympus E-300. Never thought I would buy something else as a Canon, or maybe Nikon. But the anti-dust system & price seduced me.
Ofcourse the Canon 20D I sometimes use has a much better quality, but for half the price I think the E-300 is worth it!
If I stick to what I can & have, and don't keep dreaming from what I'll never can & have, I'm a much happier man

It's been a while since I've been here... Shame on me! But my points of interest where somewhere else lately.

Now that everything is kinda sorted out - I have a decent job, I have more time for myself now, I found me a place to live, ... - I found my inner peace back
Not that it was so bad, far from, but I was not very happy with how things were going. I'll never be, that's just who I am, but now it's acceptable

Anyway, I visited the Annual Photo Show in a town nearby, picked up my camera again and confiscated my mothers, paid visits to old friends who are into photography, realized I have an awful lot to learn, ... And here I am.

I noticed DA has been working on the site and the concept, and trying to encourage the members to submit art, in stead of candid shots etc... I'll do my very best to submit high-quality photographs. But that's only possible with your support! I really hope you guys from deviantart will think it's worth to give me some comments and advice on my work. Only that way I can learn and become better, to please you and all the others who eventually will browse my gallery

Just cleaned up some of my pervious submissions, mostly my first work. Deleted most of the rubbish in my gallery...

Some time ago I read something about becoming more and more just a free photo gallery for quicksnaps etc... Even webcam-pics aren't what they were when I just joined . Too bad

Something else...
What I don't understand is, that "Lower regions of music" didn't get any comments. It's one of my favourites actually. Too bad

And good news too. I'll have a request for photoshoot from a pregnant friend of me. I'm affraid I won't be able to submit these photographs, but it's nice to work with a model again. I still have lots to learn
Any tips for photographing a pregnant lady are welcome !

A quick update of my journal:

Five years ago I was a member of the sky observatory nearby. I met some old friends from there, and decided to join them again.
I really hope I can shoot some really nice astro-pics this winter. I can use the C11 from a friend, and lots of other telescopes from the observatory.

Next to that, I joined a cover-band, playing all 60-70-80-90 sing-along hits; really great songs. I used to play the guitar or drums, but now I'm playing bass-guitar. After a lot of practice, I'm finally getting away with it. Sounds great
Next weekend my first performance, and two weeks after that 2 real big ones. I'm looking forward to it

And ofcourse there's still school. I'm doing my initial stage now, with Siemens. I'm analyzing the network in the whole country, and setting up an application to monitor the important connections, routers, servers and other devices. Call me freak, but I like it

As you see, little time for my photography, but I'm still full of ideas. I hope I can take some time in the x-mas vacation to do them. I'm also planning of putting some time in astrophotography. Let's see how much I can manage

And when I come home from a long, exciting and exhausting day, there's still DA... Although I'm browsing a lot of pictures, I don't comment that much, but I've seen really nice things. Great work from all of you ! :-D

For people who don't know what high key pics are: very light pics, with pastel tints and very low contrast. Indeed, it was ment to be that way, it isn't overlighted.
