I've done nothing overly productive, and it's great!
I got a really awesome new sketchbook, it's actually a "journal" so it has thinner paper, but it's unlined and it's awesome, I prefer to draw on computer / printer paper anyway, so this is an epic find! I got it for 7 bucks at Barnes & Noble on sale and it has a picture of Katsushika Hokusai's The Great Wave of Kanagawa print, which I love! I felt super cliche, but I don't care its awesome!

I'm attempting to make my journal look "better", and I don't really know what i want right now for sure but I'm playing around with it and having fun (: I'm also taking a little trip back to some 90's alt. rock & it's fantastic! I'm home this weekend to try and track down some of my artwork that I've done durring my first year & a half of college, most of which isn't even on dA , so I have to photograph it & scan it before 24 hour review! I'm not fully sure what I'm going to do to present the art work but I have a feeling it will be interesting to do all the same, I like looking at my old artwork and laughing at myself! I found an OLD sketchbook from (I think) middle school, and I'm pretty amazed at the level of my emo-ness that was trying to come through in the pictures of proportionally challenged people with broken hearts, stars and tears. I never really thought of myself as a depressive person but I'm starting to think that my middle school years were a little more tormented than I remember? (: lol, I'm so interested in this whole CSS thing right now. My HTML (Web Programming I) class has made me love all this stuff again!

My 1/2 of my Christmas art trade with is like 75% done, I have to scan it and finish up a few minor details (plus I have a 2nd part i want to do) ^_^.

I've been playing around with illustrator more lately so I'll probably be doing something in there soon as well =] I'm working on my 24-hour review portfolio for school [oh joy].

I got 35 dollars to AC Moore for Christmas <3 So more art supplies for me - yay!

Saturday is going to be all kinds of "interesting" I'm setting up for a wedding with two full pages of specific requests. COME ON people. I don't care how picky you are, some of the stuff is just insaine. I am equally glad that [knock on wood] I am not working that night, and can't work because I'll probably be at the Erie County Fair [excitement!].

Everything is entered, and I'm pretty releived that it's over and done with. I got straight across blue ribbons in 4H and still have to wait on the extreme anticipation of [inevidable defeat] finding out what I got on my entries in creative arts... I entered two photos, my "note tags" that are posted here, and soem invitations I scrapbooked (well actually they're just blank cards... but the technical name of the class they're entered in is invitations so "whatever").

I'll have a coule more things to post up on here after the fair is over, I did a new painting [which sucks] that I entered, and I (finally) finished stippling my picture of Butch Walker, and entered that. He is no longer mouthless - so yay!

Back to school is going to be occuring in just over two weeks... & so much to do, but I'm not going to worry about it for a while ^_^

I've been super into figuring out ways to recycle lately, especially with college aproaching, and room decorations are needed ^_- I'll be buying the "big stuff" but I'm thinking I'll make throw pillows and decorate some old picture frames etc. It'll be good!

I'm kind of eck- because I'm going to have to go through trying to get accepted into the graphic design program @ Freddyville, since they didn't accept me when I applied, and didnt TELL ME I have to actually apply separate to the concentration I want to be in UGH !@#$%!!! Whatever. So I'll be doing more with that.

On the other hand I'm going to be working on my internship (mural), and staring the beginning of June, I'm going to be working - fuck no. But oh well - IDC, its money right? I need my paycheck from working @ school to get my camera still >< It kinda sucks because I've been waiting for this money for foreverrr & I'm stoked to be able to take some new pictures to put on here, and have the new settings etc. to work with XD

My favorite this season is DAVID COOK, and I'm kind of torn on whether or not
I want him to win this. I mean in all honesty, I don't want them to mess with David
Cook's already awesome style, and if he wins he'll have to do whatever Clive Davis,
who I'll admit, in his own right is a legend, and all that crap - but he's old and I don't
think that he's that awesome anymore ... I dunno. David Cook's a rocker, please
don't let them mold him into a bubblegum pop/rocker that has no meaning behind
whatever he's singing. That's one side. So on the other side, if Archuletta were to
win, they'd have they're "teen idol" "cute boy" image that they're kind of going
for in the long run, to please the teenyboppers that will vote for him... If DC were
to win, it would look good for American Idol to have "variety" but who knows...
There's less than one hour until the show & then I guess we'll know after around
2 hours after that. It's such a long dragged out process.

The fact that my camera is not only broken, but now missing in action as well - will probably lead to me doing more traditional artwork & crafty stuff, which I have a lot of ideas for so hopefully something will pop out of my head and make itself come into fruition.

I need to get down to doing more "artisan crafts" for the fair, since I enter stuff.
I'm also awaiting my final paycheck so I'll FINALLY be able to pay for my new digital camera *jumps up and down for joy* - it'll be nice to not have to tape it shut XD

The weather here on the other hand is messing with my head. My summer has seen snow - what the heck is up with this? it's supposed to be 70 & sunny -- not 30 & snowy. I think the weather has gotten a little mixed up. Oh well , it is after all only may... hopefully June will fair better...

This is a weird time right now. It's all over, my first year of freshman year, and its GONE. I'm honestly sad more than happy despite the fact that I pretty much complained about Fredonia about 99.9% of the time. I realized too late that there are alot of good parts to outweight the bad.

So basically right now I just want to say, that here's to summer & lazy days, doing nothing on the days when you can and working your ass off for next to nothing. Living for the days when it seems as though college is a welcome escape.

I'm sick of all these gothic churches. They all look the same to me.

So I'm not getting anything out of this class & It's really starting to piss me off, I'm starting to think that taking all of these art classes is more "Screwing me over" than helping me grow as a person. Actually, that's how I feel about college as a whole. It's basically sucking my money up, to teach me things that I don't give a damn about.

So why am I here? - I'm not sure. I think it's to live up to some unstated standard that my parents have pushed me toward from the moment I was born. Well "you gotta go to college" isn't exactly proper english, and isnt exactly true. I'd rather be happy & poor than feel like 4 years of my life were going down the drain. I can live on ramen, who am I kidding??


This whole falling out with my room mate is starting to kick my ass as well.
I just don't understand how one person can so drastically change another.
I want August back & I want to start it all over. Too bad I can't...

I worked until 5:00 am. Well sorta, give or take 10 minutes. It's FredFest 08 weekend, so therefore a.) work was crazy and b.) there are going to be a ton of drunks so therefore me = not here. Not after no sleep - I just don't have the patience. Plus I don't feel like being exiled out of my own room for 3 days so I'm going to stick with going home.

I've seriously not been up for so long in a LONG time, it was weird seeing the sun come up slowly, and I don't know the parking lot just looks so weird. I'm not a fan of being here Friday's for work. I'll be glad when it's all over. I want to sleep more than ANYTHING right now and it's starting to go to my head.

I'm kind of missing my computer with the spell-check on my new internet thinger called "flock", which is like firefox, in a way, but firefox & I.E. don't agree with my computers napolean complex so they had to be ousted from my lineup of internet access.

I have a new thing up on here. It's nothing exciting, but it's better than nothing. I'm in a bit of a rut until my camera gets fixed - still - and it's killing me. I've been tkaing pictures though just not as much, plus trying to get my grades up it's just a mess.

This upcoming week is going to bring a bunch of studying, hell, work, hell, sleepless nights, and did I mention hell? I'm totally fine with that though - the hell part - because it's warm & it's supposed to cool down this week, which is mildly depressing since I was enjoying the sunny happy weather, but the heat and avoidance of outside activities won't be missed, but "like wtf" - yeah that' right I took it there - we're supposed to get snow (possibly) at some point this week. Its freaking MAY, don't tell me that.

I'm trying to devise a plan to take a photo of my camera, since my other cameras suck 100% I'm not sure how but I think that the awesomeness of the miracle that is my camera's ever-lasting pathetic life needs to be shared with the rest of the internet world.

I've been trying to upload more pix lately, bought some regular batteries for the camera, and not it works a lot better, I think that my rechargeable ones are getting a little too old for their own good. So yea, check them out - drop me a note, whatever, hell you don't even have to do anything but ANYWAY.

I'm starting to think about doing some mixed media stuff for the heck of it, so I may take an endeavor or two into that field of boundless possibilities...

First of all I would like to say *yay* I'm almost at 300 pageviews / if you can count 286 as close: who knows?

Second of all I feel as though my camera is about to slip from existence... which is really pissing me off because I love my camera to no end and don't want to see it have to move on to my pile of old electronics that just no longer work. But this also means that I probably wont be putting up as many deviations as I did (especially my deviation number for February - eek). I'm going to try. But traditional art is not my thing, and withouth my camera I wont have much coming in on the creative end of the spectrum.

Third. School. That's all I can say honestly. School is sucking the life out of me and making me feel like absolute crap. SO... I guess I'm going to *first and foremost* be paying attention to getting my grades up & getting through this semester, before my head starts spinning like the girl in the exorcist. I just need this weight of ten worlds to be lifted off my shoulders then my life can get back to normal. Oh but wait - I need to find a job *rolls eyes*.

Thats about all my cynicism on the world for today, and maybe just maybe I'll type another one of these things eventually.
