That wasn't the bad news though. Last month I noticed a lump on the underside of my throat. When I went to the doctor, they told me I had strep throat and gave me antibiotics. The antibiotics took care of the strep but not the lump. I went to a specialist who then gave me stronger antibiotics, and when those didn't do anything, I went in for a CAT scan. Since hubby and I are waiting for the next "Rome" to grace our mailbox this month, we caught up on some of the new Doctor Who. While I like Matt Smith and Amy, I'm still having trouble with the dialogue, In particular, the machine-gun delivery that makes the Doctor sound like Blur from the Transformers movie. Sometimes I wonder if the director orders Matt Smith to talk as fast as he possibly can so they can fit 2 hours of episode in a 1 hour time slot.  Maybe I'm just getting old and can't keep up.

Soo, in anticipation of the new DLC, I've been re-playing Marian's playthrough, doing things that I totally forgot to do the first time (like Carver's personal quest; no wonder he hates her so much! Though Irene came and went without too much damage in my area, just a few downed trees that thankfully didn't fall on anyone's house, it managed to cause enough damage to take the power down in my area. And it wasn't a big area either; it was only a small block of houses both to my right, left, and front. The houses in back of us, as well as the rest of the neighborhood, all had power. Which meant that we were very low on the priority list for the power company so I didn't have electricity for five whole days. FIVE WHOLE DAYS!

I started playing Final Fantasy 12 when it first came out, but stopped 5 years ago because life exploded and I had no time to game. Okay, so you might not have actually noticed me gone, but hey. ;) I had a wonderful time at Balticon this weekend, and even managed to sell some books! :dance: Friday and Saturday were the best days, as there were lots of people around, I was selling, and I had some panels to speak at. Plus, I broke out my Yuna Songstress outfit (which I will show you guys pictures of once I get a good one) and got lots of compliments and photo ops. :D Sunday, I sold maybe two things, and Monday I didn't even bother setting up my table. I did have a lot of fun meeting new artists and hanging out with them, plus hanging out with old friends. :D

Thursday night I finally, finally finished ME2 with my very first F!Shepard. :dance: They seem to have taken quite a bit of inspiration from ME2 for DA2; I couldn't help comparing the similarities while playing.

Side note: Liara seems to be the only asari with eyebrows, since she's a love interest. It makes no sense since she's supposed to be a pureblood, unless she decided to get eyebrow tattoos for the heck of it. Secondly, I've just finished my second/first playthrough with Marian. I skipped a lot of the side quests to finish quickly so I've leveled her up as far as she can reasonably go. Aaand, I managed to keep Carver! :dance: He's still a rival, but that last scene in the Gallows... so worth it. Not to mention that kiss from Fenris. :love: I didn't manage to keep Isabala though. :( I only needed 5 more friendship points! Must have been from getting her waaay late in Act 1.

I took it from Houshin Engi. Remember the character Bukichi? Someone calls him "Buki-chan" in the Japanese version of the manga, so I just changed the spelling to fit my old Japanese class Anglicized rules. I picked it because... I usually pick it for anything and it's not usually taken.

I just finished Act one, and .... NOOOOO! Not Carver! :sniff: :( Not fair, BioWare. So not fair. Even though I could kind of see it coming.

I didn't take Anders with me, unfortunately, but now I KNOW I'm playing this one all over again! :D I want my brother back, dammit!
