One and a half year since the last update..... I guess it's really time for an update!

Things are good with the both of us, even that time rarely allows us to spend any quality time with the cameras at the moment. It's the usual rat race - work and the 'musts' are getting in the way. Even though, I have had the chance for a few rare occasions of studio shoots - thanks to the Lindas, Hanna & Jeanette for being good sports and modeling as well as helping out with the setups. Some of the work has already come up, and more is to come as I get the time to edit and put it up.

On the personal level, things are good too - we're still as in love as always and life is ticking along. I've had some minor health problems during the year, but nothing too serious - and next week I'm having a minor knee surgery, and will be on leave from work for two weeks to recuperate. I've managed to lose quite a bit of weight and since august, I'm down 16 kilos/35 lbs. I'm aiming for more, though....

Anyhows - that's the quick update. Thanks for watching, even if my contributions has been scarce for a while. I'll get better at it, promise. Finally some deviations that I believe deserve some attention....

So - once again time for a new year! For us, it has been a really interesting year in the rear view mirror - most importantly, we got married in july and was lucky enough to get to have most of our close friends there. That people flew in from Canada, USA and France for the occasion is still stunning to think about...


I changed jobs twice during the year and finally ended up where I belong - goes to show that you have to dare to win.

Photographywise things are moving forward - we had an exhibition at a gallery at a summer resort all summer, and got good reviews and now in january that same gallery is being exhibited again closer to home. In february I am starting an evening class to get back to basics and sort of get an 'official' education - well, at least the start of one.



And of course, 2006 has brought us new friends and aquaintances from all over the world, both in the online world as well as in our daily lives. I am sure that 2007 will deliver even more of that and I can't wait!

Married life is better than ever, of course - I am a very lucky man to have a wife as Nina, who tolerates that I work intolerable amounts and that she barely gets to see me awake during the weekdays.

We have been getting requests from friends and colleagues to start taking portraits in a more serious way, so after a lot of pondering we have decided to give it a go. We have put in an order for some serious studio equipment and now it is time to practise, practice and..well...practise, I guess. In an ideal world we would have a place to set up as well (apartment is way too small) but for now we will just be mobile and take whatever we can find. :D

There may be some entries coming on here as we go along - we shall see.... keep your fingers crossed, good people!

Oh, and if anyone feels like volounteering for modeling - give us a shout... ;)

Wedding plans are also coming forward, and time just seems to fly - we are now less than 4 months away from the big day, and the planning is going rather well. The R.S.V.P's are pouring in, and it seems that most of our friends are going to attend - so far we have only had two cancellations.

Workload is slowly getting back to normal - well, as normal as it gets in this occupation...

My tooth is finally fixed after two attempts - I can chew again! Still beats me why I have such a hard time with the dentist and the small needles, when I have stacked up more than 30 hours under a tattoo needle and hardly flinched?

The new camera has finally arrived - Canon 5D, and so far I am utterly impressed with it. Now just waiting for the replacement of the lens that was recalled - and noone knows how long that is going to take.... but well - sooner or later....:D

Seems it is one of those times when just nothing turns out right.....minor things in the big perspective, but plenty of them adds up....

New camera is still on hold - and the 24-105 lens is still recalled without any information so far as when we will get it back.

I bit off half a molar this week, and have to wait till thursday before I get to see a dentist to fix it. I have a temp fix, so I have to be really, really careful with chewing.

Work - don't even ask. It's time to start looking for something new.

But - on the other hand:
Took a 4 hour studio lighting class this week that was really inspiring. A true vitamin injection.

My lovely Nina takes wonderful care of me when I am moody. I admire her patience.

And a bump for a good friend - and a thanks for a good time today, visiting the butterfly house.

doing things I hate, like skydiving.

5. All my life I have been told that I am "too nice for my own good". I still
maintain that there is no such thing as too nice.
6. I am a PADI Rescue Diver.
7. This spring I found out that I have a non-lethal heart condition.
8. I have read almost everything published by Stephen King in bookform.
9. I have never used an illegal drug.
10. When I am restless or in a foul mood - I bake. Cinnamon rolls is a favourite.
11. I once modeled underwear on a catwalk with an audience of 500 people.
Including my own mother.
12. I am very nearsighted on one eye, and slightly farsighted on the other.
13. My favourite colour is blue.
14. One of my dream travels is to cross North America on a Harley.
15. I once shook hands with George Bush Sr. No political statement - just a freak
coincidence.
16. I am a workoholic.
17. One of the people I respect the most is my mother. She has taught me to be
openminded and kind to all people, no matter religion, skin colour, age or sexual
preference.
18. My tattoos are inspired from Tahiti and Borneo tribals, but also contains
some personal touches. The bull originates from a spanish oil painting.
19. I have no respect for people that try to get ahead because of their looks and
thereby assume that I should be in awe of them. Sexiness is a personality thing,
and without personality there is simply nothing.
20. I am getting married with on July 8'th 2006, and I
could'nt be happier..:D
