i went to my Independent Research: Drawing class, which i signed up for late. so i didn't know quite what to expect, having not been to class yet. the only thing my professor told me to bring to class was a drawing i'd worked on or completed lately...

do you realize how vague that is? my mind went into overdrive. should i bring a large one that was more conceptual? should i grab a still-life? a comic? i was losing it. but then my dad, who is good friend with my professor, having been a grad student under his teaching, tells me to show my professor what i LIKE to do.

i'm feeling a little lost right now. in art projects for school and
...just school in general really. i think this is a good time for me to take a
break from deviantArt. but this is NO reflection on the website or anyone here,
i just need to place my focus elsewhere. figure out my priorities.

i also gave up Facebook for the Lenten season, and doing that kind of
inspired this idea. along with my scanner not working.

it just made sense.

mostly i draw people, so if you ask me to draw something completely random like a building or the like, i can handle it. but it's not my area. i refuse to draw anything grotesque or obscenely graphic.
