I haven't been around alot lately and that's due to the fact that I have been super busy lately.

Not only is work picking up (what with the release of Australia and all) but I have a major 'to-do' list on top of that. For the past few weeks I've been in a bit of a funk (something of a depression) but I got over it last Friday and have been feeling overly cheerful ever since.

On Monday we had our staff Christmas party which was a blast. We went paintballing (which was awesome) and then back to the cinema to have a great time. We ended up playing footy in one of the theatres and now I am completely covered in bruises and can barely walk but it was worth it

Then yesterday I went and got all of my hair chopped off. Which was a big move, cause my hair was down to my bum but is now up around my ears.

That's about enough from me. Got lots to do so I'll be off

I am so bored...

I never thought I'd say that and in all truth I really shouldn't be but I've had 3 days off work this week and another 3 next week...and I'm just not used to this kind of time off. And the worst thing is they're all weekdays- so i can't hang with my friends during the day cause they all have work or uni...
To top it off I have a huge amount of stuff that I need to do but can't be borthered...ah the conundrum

Well I cleaned up my gallery a bit and moved some of my pics to my scraps- but I'm not sure if it's worked cause DA is messing up again...

Just thought I'd update my journal cause I'm sick of looking at the previous entry.

Not much happening. I've been thinking about cleaning up my computer but can't seem to get the motivation to do it. I've had a nice slow week with some time off work.

I'm feeling a bit down at the moment cause my puppy Dust died saturday night. He was perfectly fine when we went to bed. He got out through the night and was killed by a wild dog...I guess that's what happens when you live in the bush...
I've grown up learning to deal with death as it is a very common occurance when you live on a farm but it's still not easy.

Good news-the school holidays are over and I now go back to my five day a week shifts However the last couple of days did not go so well and I'm feeling a bit...um shall we say exhasted yet pissed at the same time. So I'm going to have a little bit of a rant cause it makes me feel better

So my anger probably emerged on Tuesday when I started to get sick. I was at work tuesday night and basically got sicker by the second. It got to the point that I was coughing up blood but of course was still expected to work cause everyone else had 'lans'. I ring up the next morning and tell the boss that there is no way I'm going to work considering the fact that I can't even get out of bed (fair enough he asks another girl to work it).
I go in on the Thursday still unbelieveably sick but able to stand. The place looks like an assassin was kicked over and I'm expected to clean it.

Then today. The icing on top of the cake. I go into work still sick (cause I can be very stubborn and refused to go to a doctor...cause quite frankly I hate them)and half an hour after I get there I start to have difficulty breathing. My lungs constrict and every breathe is painful...however me being my stubborn self continue to work thinking it'll pass. After four hours I finally decide it might be a good idea to go to the hospital after work.
I am half an hour from finishing my shift when the boss has the nerve to ask me to stay another 4 hours cause the others can't make as they have hangovers from the night before. Well I told him very politely to shove it up his ass.

The previous saturday i went out for my best friends 21st- got completely trashed, slept for an hour and got up the next day to work from 9am till 8pm without a complaint and they can't work 4 hours after having all day to sleep well screw them!

So i left work and went to the hospital. What do you know I've been having a severe asthma attack all day due to infection and had to spend hours at the hospital getting all sorts of tests done. I'm supposed to work tomorrow night but am so gonna call in sick. At least i have a valid excuse!


ok I'm done- sorry about that It just feels so much better to get these things off your chest sometimes and I'm already having trouble breathing so it's for the best. I doubt anyone will take the tim to read this cause it's basically a novel...of me complaining...but hey if you're good at something flaunt it right

P.S it may seem to everone that I hate my job but it's not bad. The hours are flexible (sometimes) and the boss is great. It's just some of the other people I have to work with -_-

Gosh my journal entries are just depressing lately oh well that’s life sometimes I guess.

Just letting everyone know (not that anybody cares lol) that for the next couple of weeks I’ll be lucky to get on DA or the net at all as I’ll be working -_- and when I’m not working I’ll be sleeping, or eating or getting ready for work. Such is life when it’s school holidays and you work at a theatre with only 3 candy bar staff and you need at least four people on each day Which means that the 3 of us are extremely overworked! Today was the first day of school holidays and after 11 hours of putting up with annoying children (with NO lunch break, i mean what’s that about?)I am about ready to die of exhastion!

So if I don’t comment on stuff or reply you’ll know that it’s just cause I’m too exhausted to make it to my computer. However when school goes back I’ll try and comment on everything

That being said- I have a pic for a contest held by that I am basically finished and will be posting within the next few days (before the deadline)...hopefully?

I've been so exhasted lately that I just haven't felt up to doing anything...I don't know what it is but I used to suffer from insomnia and it looks like it may be coming back with a vengeance I've been getting 3 hours sleep max each night for the past week). That on-top of the fact that I can only manage to eat one meal a day and my increased workload is just caused me to be exhasted body and mind.

I finally had a day off today and managed to finish a one page turtlecest comic that I've had half finished for a while. I have also got Brisinger which I really want to try and read soon. On top of that a pile of fanfictions that I really want to read and alot of pictures that are half finished...
And school holidays start here on Saturday which means I'm working everyday for 3 weeks -_-. The fact that I'm the only one at work who seems to do anything makes that fact even more depressing.

Sorry for ranting- but I just had to get that off my chest or I'm going to explode

I've had a few days off work and therefore more time to draw

I re-applied to uni yesterday. I took this year off cause the course just wasn't cutting it *sigh*. My father and grandmother pressured me to an unbelievable degree that I had to choose a course and go straight to uni after school to become a teacher. Well I tried (for 2 years I might add) and found that there was no way I could be a teacher so I took this year off (for which I'm pretty sure my grandmother disowned me ) and am going back next year to do what I want to do. I applied for Bachelor of Communication and am looking at the digital advertising and sound editing sectors. I'm actually pretty excited about it

...not much to say. Just sick of looking at my other journal entry . Oh well the work experience kid finishes on Friday- if he lasts that long. I'm usually good at judging peoples character and I was spot on with this kid. He's lazy and needs to be supervised constantly. We all gave him a chance and he was caught discounting food for his mates to rediculous prices ($1 for a large drink) and he's found out our passwords for the computers and is doing such things as putting them into management overdrive. One more stroke and his gooone. Not much else going on...work seems to dominate all my time and energy lately...

Oh our puppy's are getting more energetic (and louder...especially at 3am )

I finally got my DA subscription and am in the process of checking out (and trying to master) all the new features

Anyway work is getting me down lately . The boss in away for a week and usually this would be cause for celebration but a work experience kid started on Monday...don't get me wrong- this wouldn't be a problem but the kid has absolutely NO PERSONALITY AT ALL! When you work at a cinema finding something to do between sessions can be hard (especially at a small cinema) and also having to find something for this kid to do & supervise him doing it is just a pain in the a$$...and he's here for 2 WEEKS -_- I may sound like a bitch to you but believe me if you'd met this kid you would feel the same

enough bitching from me. Happier news- my dog has fathered his first litter of puppies and they're all so cute . I'm keeping one and he is the spitting image of his dad

Because of the location of my house it was very hard as I couldn't get dail-up as our home phone is used for business and broadband wasn't available. But now we have successfully got ADSL. No more bludging off others' net connections and using the local library. FREEDOM!

Now when I go back to uni it might be slightly easier. It's a nightmare when you need to stay on campus for hours longer than you should just to use the net. But no more!!!
Anyway, just needed to get that off my chest.

I've recently become hooked on Transformers Animated. They've only just started airing in Australia. They've captured the characters so well . I'm also rewatching the original first four seasons. I'm slightly Transformers mad at the moment

My name is Mel. I live on a farm in NSW, Australia and wouldn't have it any other way. I am a student and work part time at a cinema.
