I commented simply saying "You watch a lot of people, huh? :v" and they replied and then hid my comment and blocked me from their page... Of course, I didn't get to see the reply because they hid it (smart!) and it just made me wonder why people even bother trying to watch every single user on dA, if you get popular, you get popular, but you don't fucking force it... Besides, you don't want to be popular on this website because it pretty much guarantees that your art isn't very good.
But why so touchy? I mean... You know what you're doing, looking at your page it's obvious what you're doing but when someone makes an observation about it, not even complaining about it, why get so angry or upset or whatever about it? It makes no sense to me. Treat this like an art site not a popularity contest. Post your art, watch people who's art you actually like and work from there. Don't post your crappy art and then try to boost pageviews and watchers by clicking the Random Deviant button, watching someone and repeating it 100,000 times.
What's even more annoying is that she probably won't even see this journal DESPITE STILL WATCHING ME.

Everything about it is perfect, it's humourous, charming and moving, the animation is incredible, as with the voice acting.
Although, this film isn't getting as much attention as alot of other films (ie; Shrek) mainly because it doesn't contain 102934 celebrities providing their voices.

It is a must see.

So last night I went to see Reel Big Fish for the second time, EVAR.

Me and my brother kind of purchased the tickets on impulse as soon as they were released a few months back, complications came up, my brother couldn't go because he had work, and then later on Rayner wasn't allowed to go. So I was left with 2 spare tickets.
I sold 1 to Mel and her sister purchased 2 tickets from eBay (£43 each!! sheesh! i only paid £15!!), and then after a shaky period, I finally got rid of the last ticket to Stephen Cartwright, who actually hadn't heard any of their songs before... But a sale's a sale.
Mel's sister drove us their and back, which was totally awesome of her, I was worrying about travel because the last train that left back to Chester from Manchester yesterday was 9:30, and RBF weren't even on stage by then!!!

Support bands played, nothing really worth mentioning here about them, Beat Union (or if you're frisky, you can call them Bean Onion), and Army of Freshmen. The keyboard/synth guy from AOF was wearing an Aquabats shirt. I like him.

So RBF eventually came on stage, so the sound of the Superman theme song. They played Trendy first, and it was very good... Scott looked very handsome with his beard. Scott is awesome... But wait... What's this? NO MATT WONG?!?! WHAT?!? That was probably the worst thing about the night, really. Apart from some rude bloke with a mohawk started to be an absolute jerk, but that lasted about a minute, then the fun returned!! They played a bunch of songs (OBVIOUSLY, DURRRRRRRRRR) including an "Enter Sandman" cover, that song thats like "Olé, olé, olé, olé..." etc., "Kiss Me Deadly", "Boss DJ", "Boys Don't Cry", "Take on Me" and even the many versions of "S.R."!!! which I was super pleased about because they didn't play it last time I saw them. They even played a brand new song (not to be confused with "Brand New Song")!!!!! The only thing was the song was almost exactly the same as "Angry Anthem" by the Forces of Evil... Hmm... They played a pretty good set, but the lack of "A Little Doubt Goes a Long Way" was pretty lame. The set was not as good as the last time I saw them, but they performed a hell of alot better, and they were hilarious, as always.

I think the only let down of the night (aside from it being Matt Wong-less) was how much my camera sucks... If it was any other camera, my picture of Scott would be immensely incredible, but alas, my camera managed to meff it up.

I enjoyed it, as did everyone else. A GOOD NIGHT!

My friend is starting a collab, it would be ever so much fun if you joined.
It'd be pretty great if it managed to get finished, too, considering every single collab I've been part of never got finished. I don't think anyone is too fussed about your level of Flash skill, so it's open to pretty much everyone.

THIS IS AN ART QUIZ. YOU CAN READ IT AND COMMENT ON IT IF YOU WANT TO. MAYBE YOU'LL FIND IT INTERESTING?! IT'S KINDA BORING.

[1]Do you like to draw?
I suppose...

[2]What do you like to draw?
Anything, really. I like to try new things but end up spacking it up... So I usually stick to drawing random people in funny poses... Or more recently funny people in the same poses.

[3]Do you use a pen or pencil?
I use both... I usually draw better with a pencil, especially compared to on Flash, but most of the time in school I use a pen for doodles, even though most of the time I mess it up.

[4]What do you like to draw with?
Anything at all, really.

[5]What do you think of when you draw?
Everything. Most of the time I start drawing is when I'm thinking and generally over-analysing things, so when I draw it's meant to stop me, but pretty much sends me into over-drive but occupies my time.

[6]Are you artistic?
I guess...

[7]Has anyone ever told you, you were MAD awesome at drawing?
Yeah.

[8]Do you get frustrated when you draw?
As stated earlier, I'm usually frustrated when I start to draw. Drawing shuts me up for a bit and I don't think or care about what I'm drawing and what it looks like, 9 times out of 10 it turns out looking crap, so I delete it, even if it took about half an hour.

[9]Are you shy when it comes to people saying your art is amazing?
Yeah.

[10]Have you ever won an award for a piece of art you drew?
No.

[11]What do you think of your art?
I guess it's okay... It depends what I compare it to, though. Sometimes I look at it and think "Wow, I'm probably one of the best cartoonists of my age group, mind you they're all drawing horrible looking anime and thinking it's the best ever..." and other times I compare it to... Good stuff and wonder "WHY CAN'T I DO THAT?!"
I also hate the way my art is either "Good" or "Bad" there's no middle, it's one or the other.
And of course, from my point of view, I don't think it's easy to spot influences in there, which is cool, I'm ashamed of my old stuff which is just a horrible, blatent rip-off of High Score and Invader Zim. *shudders*

[12]If you had advice to give people, what would it be?
I'd say "Draw what you want" but that advice is terrible seems as most artists do that anyway...
"Draw HOW you like"? No. Ugh.
"Learn HOW to draw"!

[13]Do you draw manga/anime art, or western?
Well... I draw in my own style which has no influences from "manga/anime art" at all, so I suppose it's Western... I don't really like to define my art as anything aside from "cartoons".

[14]Do you hate it when people tell you you can't draw?
That depends. It doesn't really bother me most of the time, but it depends who says it... If it's someone who can't draw anyway, I laugh at them, but if it's an artist I respect and look up to I'd probably be a little disheartened...

[15]What hand do you draw with?
Left.

[16]Who taught you how to draw?
My grandfather sort of started me off, and then I just kept drawing and got where I am today with it...

[17]How old were you when you started art?
As young as I can remember... I think I've had an interest in art since I was very, very small.

[18]What did you use to draw when you were little?
Scribbles. Then stars and moons and stuff, then Sonic, then Dragonball Z characters (you should have seen them, they were the best!!), then I think I sorta took a break from anything arty... Around 2001ish I tried my hand at realistic art, I thought it looked great, but now I think it's the worst thing ever. I did random doodle pages in my A3 sketchpad my grandfather left me to express my feelings, I didnt really have any style back then, just basically little circles inside big circles, but I just kinda experimented with things like aliens, cartoons, realistic drawings, guns, etc. Then I randomly picked up some random style which I then used to make a series of comics... I have no idea where it came from, I drawn it one day and was like "wow, it's not that bad!" it's not really inspired by anything at all... Then I started to watch Invader Zim and drawn fanarts of that and stole the art style, then I got sick of it because I thought it was too unoriginal... So I mixed it with the High Score style (yes, my logic is incredible, I managed to make it even more unoriginal!), once again I realised how unoriginal I was, so I developed my own style around October 2005, which as time went by I got progressively worse at drawing, it somehow managed to jump to the style I draw in today but with lines for noses, I'm getting around to fixing the noses now, and that's the story of my life.

[19]Is anyone in yo...

Last Saturday I went to the local shopping center to do a bit of Christmas shopping for my girlfriend, before I went my brother instructed me to go into all of the shops where they would sell the Wii when they'd have some in, or in fact, if they had any. No where did. I went into Game last, and was reluctant to ask, I knew the answer was "No". The clerk said that they might get 10 in on Monday, but seems as I was about the 300th person he had told there was a slim chance of me getting one. I told my brother and he was like "Okay". He went to Game at 9am on Monday and it opened at 10, he waited in the queue for about an hour and was about 5th in line. He got one, the clerk said they had about 30 in.
I got home from school looking for a Wii, I didn't find one and accepted that it would be almost impossible to get one before Christmas.
My brother got home from college and told me a story about how he didn't get one, once again, I accepted it. He goes upstairs and comes back down stands behind me (I was on the computer immersed in whatever website I was on) and he said "Lee" and I didn't turn around and said "What?" that happened about 3 times... "Lee" he said, I turned round and saw him holding a glorious white box which said "Wii" on it. I got excited and ran off into the living room with him to set it up.

So, seems as I've had it for almost a week, I thought I'd write some sort of review for it...
That said, though, I haven't ventured outside of Wii Sports. It is quite possibly one of the best games ever created. I thought, a long time ago, that the "Revolution" as it was called, would be a failure, but clearly not, the more I saw of the Wii, the more I wanted one. We got Red Steel with it, which is just... Let's just say I do not like it.
My brother wanted a new controller, so we got one with a copy of Wii Play, which, after a few goes, is very fun... I mean, Cow Racing?! GENIUS!!!
I have been worried about launching the Wiimote through the TV and windows and stuff, but the strap is holding out.
The Mii channel is awesome, I just like to mess about on it for a laugh. I have yet to get the Wii online, but hopefully after Christmas.
We got Zelda on Friday, but I have yet to play it, it's the next thing I do after writing this 'review'. I watched Wii Adam play it a bit though, and despite previous thoughts, it doesn't look that bad at all. Several reviews have said the graphics aren't what you would expect from a next-gen console, but I think that they're pretty awesome, I couldn't really ask for any more, it looks pretty on par with MGS3, that said, MGS3 isn't a next-gen title is it? Even though it's graphics surpass many next-gen graphics, at least from what I've seen.

Wii Sports.
Graphics - 6.5/10
Meh, I guess seems as it's free you wouldn't expect the best graphics, though crude, the Miis do the job surprisingly well, even if they sometimes lose their legs... I suppose the only complaints I have about this is that the crowds are... Non existant? There's a few Miis standing around, but on baseball it's just... Green circles.
Gameplay - 9.5/10.3564
Pretty much designed for you to get used to the Wiimote, and it does do a good job. Even though you don't need to swing the Wiimote like a maniac on baseball and tennis as you can just sit on the couch and make a slight movement and play, you actually want to pretend that you're playing it for real, which is pretty neat.
Overall - 9/10
In all honesty, it just can't be beat, I love it. Tennis is the best game on here in my opinion. Wii Sports is definately the most fun I've ever had on any game, though the golf can be a bit of a bitch when trying to register what action you made and more often than not you're whacking the ball way harder than you had actually hoped to, the boxing doesn't always register your moves and is way too easy, but can be a good way to let out your anger, I guess.
Sticking with Tennis, Baseball and Bowling, the game is still solid, fun and there is nothing I would change about it. Everyone should play it.

Wii Play.
Graphics - 6/10
Simply just a collection of 10 mini-games created for training you with your Wiimote, you'll learn the basics of controlling. It's basically the same as Wii Sports, it uses the Miis for most games, and for others it's just simple shapes controlled by the wiimote. Like the Pong (or Laser Hockey), average pong table, the paddles are controlled by the Wiimote and look almost like paper clips, it's pretty bright, but in a sense it's just come colourful lines with "Soften Fill Edges" popped onto it. That said, it does the job well.
Gameplay - 8/10
As stated earlier, made as training for the Wiimote... Though at times it can be WAY too sensitive or just not register your moves at all.
Overall - 7.5/10

It was MUSE day yesterday and it was a very, very excellent day.
I'll review, but instead of just useless comments I'll go through the setlist;
Take a Bow;
First song, obviously they can't just EXPLODE into this like most other bands do with their first song, but they eased their way onto stage rather well with this... People were confused about what to do here.

Hysteria;
Exploded into this and did a great job of it.

Map of the Problematique;
I started enjoying myself more around here, I sang (shouted horribly) more at this point. They played it way better than it is on the album.

Butterflies and Hurricanes;
Loved every second of it.

Assassin;
Very, very good, but I wish they played Exo-Politics instead.

Plug in Baby;
One of the best songs of the set, I knew they were going to play it as soon as Matt started having sex with the amp on the left of the stage. This was the first song me and Rayner jumped to, so Rayner got less scared of falling to her deaths.

Muscle Museum;
Words can't explain how fantastically they played this.

Forced In;
I wish they played a different B-Side, I thought it kind of lasted too long... But oh well, it was a nice segway into...

Bliss;
When the song started it was all quiet and stuff, but then when they actually PLAYED it blew me away, it was just incredible and energetic.

Feeling Good;
This (as well as New Born) made up for the lack of Citizen Erased (which I bet £10 they will play tonight while I'm not there). But Matt's megaphone broke, which is lame.

Hoodoo;
Like this song on the album. Love it live. Just the piano just sounds so much better than that acoustic guitar.

Invincible;
Wonderful. I'm glad they played this, it's one of my favourite songs from the new album. The guitar solo kicked even more rear-end too.

Supermassive Black Hole;
Awesome. Though not as good as some of the other songs, but still wonderfully amazing.

Time is Running Out;
Everyone knows this song, everyone sang along, everyone loved it.

Stockholm Syndrome;
Even though I love this on the album, they just better it with the extra guitar solos and whatnot.

ENCORE
Starlight;
Me and Rayner sang this too each other 'cause we're cool like that. Matt Bellamy rocks.

New Born;
I am ever so glad that they played this, I really am... I'll never forget this or Starlight.

Knights of Cydonia;
Just incredible, really. Everyone in the whole audience was singing along with it, even when we were going home some people were singing it.

Awesome night, awesome band, fantastic live show. Though the set could have been better, who cares? It's MUSE!!
I suggest everyone alive should see them.

Sent away a piece of art to the "Young Cartoonists of the Year Award".
I found out about it yesterday night before I went to bed, and entries have to be in by Monday, I had no time to work on it, nevermind think of anything to draw.
As for the rules, I was a tad baffled as it said the competition was for "Strip Cartoons" (more commonly known as Comics) up to 4 panels long. I assumed that just a picture wouldn't be classed as a Strip Cartoon as a strip would require 2 or more panels, so I made up a random comic which is stupid and horrible. Looking at last year's winners, I could've just drawn a picture, both of the winners aren't panels at all.
What I drawn is sub-par and if I had a better idea, I would have gone for it.
Though I doubt I'm going to win the £250 this year, I shall try again next year now I know more about the rules.
I posted it at around 5:50 and it has to be sent away to London, which is very far away, the postman comes at 10:35 tomorrow morning, so I hope it gets there on time.
I hope that they're interested in my art, I've gave them the URL for my Sheezy gallery, so that's basically the only way they can get in touch with me, so I hope they do.
For those who aren't in the know, a .fla file is the raw flash file you work on and edit to make a cartoon, and a .swf is the version which everyone can watch and enjoy your exported cartoon on. But if someone has the .fla anyone can take it, edit it a bit and claim that it's theirs... So anyone could go over to any gallery and take their work and claim that it's theirs. Because that's how much dA care about their users. I'm not submitting any more of my flashes until it's safe because 2 people have already tried to steal from me (although I'm not sure why they'd want to do that).

if the Aquabat's show really is cancelled, the contest winners won't get their prizes and the sign won't be finished.
If you wish to know what I'm on about:
"right now I feel like jumping into the side of a bus. We got a phone call this morning from TicketWeb, I wasn't going to answer it because I was in bed and couldn't be arsed with it, but it was ringing for an eerily long time, so I did... Obviously it had "BAD NEWS" written all over it... So I answered and it was some guy and he asked if my dad was in, so naturally I thought that it was some salesman because they're always phoning. But no... He says that he is from TicketWeb and we have ordered tickets for a show at the weekend (ie, the Aquabats!) and that show has been cancelled... I just said "oh/". And he goes "I'll email your dad anyway with the information" I was still in shock... Now, we've had experiences with TicketWeb before and never had a problem, we've had 1 or 2 gigs cancelled, but we were told WHY they were and WHEN they were going to be rescheduled... But no. I came on to check my dad's emails and it just says "DUE TO UNFORESEEN EVENTS, IT'S BEEN CANCELLED!" oh boy, that explains everything. I've checked everything, the Aquabats website and MySpace, the Good to go Tour website and myspace, the ticketweb website and even the Liverpool Carling Academy website (which has the Aquabats! as the featured show, may I add) and NO information ANYWHERE about it being cancelled...
So I'm keeping my hopes up that there's some sort of mistake and it hasn't been cancelled, but if it has, I'm going to be devastated... I've been waiting FOREVER to see them live again and it was going to be such an awesome show, but if it's cancelled my dreams are smashed and I'm going to curl up into a ball.
Why can't anyone tell the truth??

Peace, love, and stuff, and I'll hopefully speak to you after the Aquabats' show "

Contest is over! 11:00 pm English time, 21/07/06
ABOUT
So, last journal, I wrote about some contest. You need to know more about it, so you shall!!
Basically, I want YOU!!!! to design me a sign for the Aquabats concert that I shall be attending at the end of July...
TASK
All you need to do is grab THIS picture and draw over it in Flash or Paint or whatever medium you use to draw in...
WHAT NEXT?
When entries are completed post a link to them in this journal, on my page or in a Private Message, or even send the link via MSN or AIM, or even e-mail... Once I have the link I will post it in this journal, mainly to keep track, and I'll rate them.
WHAT?
There is absolutely no limit on how many you can create, or even what you draw on it (but keep in mind that I won't be holding up a sign with a penis on). So you can even take part if you've never heard the Aquabats before!
PRIZES, PRIZES, PRIZIZES!!
The prizes will be;
1st: An animation about whatever you want.. Alternatively, you could just have 1 or 2 pictures drawn of whatever you want, fully coloured and whatnot... Just don't request things like "ONE MILLION NINJAS FIGHTING ON THE SUN WHILE THE SUN IS EXPLODING" because you won't get that made.
Your sign design will be photographed and featured in my gallery with a whole praise to you in the description.

2nd: A fully coloured picture of whatever you request (except naked people and such).

3rd: Some lineart of you, or something...

GET GOING!
Entries should be in by the 21st of July, though I'm not expecting many, so it won't be hard to judge between 1st and 2nd 'cause I'll get about 2 entries...
If there's anything you don't understand about this, just ask.
Peace.
I'm going to see the Aquabats! on 30th July, and I want to make a sign for it... I have the cardboard and everything, but what to put on the sign?
Here's where you come in!
Design me a sign on the template provided and I will make the best one, and you will get to see it and get a prize and stuff.
Runners-Up get stuff, too...
There is no limit on how many designs you can do, so don't worry.
All entries must be done by some time in July, but I'd prefer them ASAP.

You can find the template here: [link] . Upload it to you gallery, or anywhere else and send me the link to it here in this journal, on my page or over MSN or something. Get going, thanks, kids!!

The 1st player of this "game" starts with the topic "6 weird habits/things/about yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a journal about their 6 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to SHUT UP....

Weird Habits
1. I chew my finger nails.
2. I always scratch my neck.
4. I never look people in the eyes.
5. I hate music.

So, yesterday, I went to the Give It a Name tour '06 in Manchester... I went primarily for Goldfinger, We Are Scientists and (at the time) Angels and Airwaves (but their album was kinda bad, so I lost enthusiasm)... Here's some sort of review;

THE BLACKOUT
We got in late, so we missed these guys.

GYM CLASS HEROES
They were actually quite good, too bad we couldn't see them too well...

SILVERSTEIN
Crap

BAYSIDE
Rather good, they mentioned the whole losing-their-drummer thing and that music and friendship helped them get past it.

AIDEN
Crap, well, they were quite energetic, but they weren't very good at performing... They even put my brother off them, who liked their album...

CLASIC CASE
Bah, not very good at all... I think me and Paul went for a walk for half of their set

WE ARE SCIENTISTS
Uh... I was looking forward to these... The sound wasn't that good, but they played a nice set... Should've been longer. I still liked it.

SAY ANYTHING
I went to get food at this point, because if I didn't, I would've passed out. We missed all of their set.

GOLDFINGER
The best set of the whole show... They didn't play any songs from the new album, which made me very happy! I sang along to all the songs and had a fantastic time, dispite the singer looking (and probably being) rather old... Though their set was cut shorter than it should've been, which I'm still not very happy about...

HUNDRED REASONS
Hella energetic, but still not that good...

ANGELS AND AIRWAVES
These only managed to play like... 4-5 songs... I thought they had an hour on, their album is 52 minutes. They didn't even play half the album. You can't really dance to their music, though... But Tom did a nice cover of "Down" before going into "The Adventure" which made their show that much better, but the sound was dreadful.

TAKING BACK SUNDAY
Well, they were quite energetic and played their songs well, but they didn't play ALL of the songs I liked, they lose points for that... But seriously, they were pretty cool, especially the singer.

LOSTPROPHETS
Yes. After a year and a bit of NOTHING they're back! They played like 3-4 new songs for us which sounded pretty cool... They got all of the crowd involved and played some songs from the first album for us. These were actually one of the best bands on, I'm glad they played. I was more energetic for these than any other band, aside from Goldfinger.

Bring on the Aquabats! again, they're still the best band I've ever seen live.

Also, I felt... Weird dancing to some bands... It's alot better when everyone in the building has gone to see the same band.

Today is my birthday... So... What'd you get me?

wEDIT:
So today is my birthday.
Which means money.
Right now I'm £205 richer than... Ever. (SHUT UP, I'M NOT GETTING A JOB) But I'm expecting more from relatives. Right now is the time I am glad that not all of my kind, giving, relatives have not passed away... MONEY!!!!
I'm hoping for at least £60 more. Then maybe a new computer is in store? Or a very expensive decorative concrete pig? Okay.

Today's party... Or "bowling birthday bash" if you will, was rather fun, although we lost two of our comrades... But that didn't stop us from buying bagels... YUM YUM. We also had a nice friendly game of DDR (Dance Dance Revolution for you weirdos) I totally won. I came third in bowling with a disappointing 100 points. Not my best. I still beat Rayman though, but Ste Cartwright and James still beat me... (James came first with 140 and Ste had 103) We also made a new friend... EDWIN! He was so cool the entire day.
So thanks to:
Stephen Neil
Steven Ellison
Steven Cartwright
Jon Hicken
James Sheen
Gemma (Lolnolastname?)
Mel Darch
Edwin Von Pruny
and Rayner Horgan
for all turning up and being alive. Roy didn't turn up. NO THANKS TO YOU. >

Fun day. You're all super-dee-duper. Thanks for being alive (AND GIVING ME MONEY!!)!
Extra thanks go to those people who wished me happy birthday, thanks to you, too!

So. It's the 1st of November today. The start of my second favourite month!
In light of Five Iron Frenzy day (on the 22nd) I'm going to do some FIF fanart. If you like FIF, or have heard just one of their songs and liked it, I would like to encourage you to join in, too!
It'd be really cool if you did.
If you haven't heard of FIF you can hear some live stuff and some B Sides on iniquito.us check it out, if you like what you hear then you should join in! It'll be fun!
I would've liked to do some sort of collab... But I mean... Not enough FIF fans watch me and not many people read my journals anyway, and I don't think 22 days is enough to put together a collab. Maybe next year?
Maybe if Xenon reads this and is interested he would like to help me get some people interested in a collab for next year's FIF day cause I know he likes them.

Anyway, I hope more than one of you is interested and will take part.
Peace.

So yesterday I saw Army of Freshmen, Never Heard of It and The Aquabats (!) live at Liverpool Carling Academy 2.
The venue was really small and the amount of people there didn't even break 100. Me, Wee Adam, Paul and Matt got at the front. I made some new friends... Craig, Halo... Some other people I don't remember. Craig and Halo kept playing with my socks and stroking Paul's hair. Weirdos. Also, Craig is a girl she just didn't tell me her real name.
Army of Freshmen played first and were pretty cool, as soon as they finished Matt ran off to buy their EP from the Merch table. They reminded me of Roper simply because of the synth. And we did a sing-a-long with them.
NHoI were the second support act... Not THAT good. But they were okay. They were really energetic which is what was good, I just don't enjoy their music... Their guitarist had a really half-assed mullet but had THE TIGHTEST PANTS I HAVE EVER SEEN. I wish we had a camera. We spoke to some of NHoI after the show and they're cool guys. One actually came up and started speaking to us because he liked Wee Adam's Reel Big Fish shirt. So I told him to listen to Five Iron Frenzy. C'mon. Bound to happen. He said he would try and as he was walking away he reassured me that he remembered the band name. He turned around and said "Five Iron Frenzy, yeah?" and I said "Yeah!". Such pretty boys. We talked to another member of NHoI outside when we were waiting for Matt's dad and we talked to him about how American food is nicer than English food and some other cool stuff... We did have a brief chat with the singer, but nothing important was said, we just bought their CD for half price and got it signed.

Then the Aquabats came on! They did this cool prologue thing at the start introducing the band and they came on stage and blasted straight into Fashion Zombies. In my opinion they were alot better than Reel Big Fish, or any other band I've seen live. If you're familiar with the Aquabats, you'll know that they are superheroes... I knew this... But when they had a fight on stage it was a real surprise and I was in stitches. They are hilarious. First Money Man came out and threatened to destroy us with his TEN PENCE PIECE but MC Bat Commander was too powerful and defeated him... But later in the show HE RETURNED with his minion... Cobra Man (Who looked absolutely hilarious!). But MC Bat Commander was no match for Cobra Man but when the Aquabats worked as a team they defeated him... They charmed him off-stage with a wicked sax solo. The set was pretty cool and I sang all of the songs word for word, but they didn't play ANY of the 3 songs I wished they would play. But whatever, I still had alot of fun. They were really energetic and put on a great show and involved everyone and when I wasn't jumping around to songs I was in stitches from the hilarity they produced. We even sat down before the last 2 songs and sang "Give Peace a Chance" and MC Bat Commander told us how he gained 20 pounds in the U.K. just from eating Jaffa Cakes. Awesome.

Also, it was Crash McLarson's birthday! (He's the bassist of the Aquabats if you don't know) And we all sang a heart-felt happy birthday song for him and told us it was the best birthday he had ever had. Aw.
I can't WAIT until they return... This was their first time in Liverpool, too... So I hope they had a good time so they come back.

I only regret not having a camera. So many amazing memories... Oh, and also that I got a guitar pick but it FELL OUT OF MY POCKET ! Oh well.

But I have a spare ticket for the Aquabats show in Liverpool on 27th of October (Yes 6 days) at the Carling Academy and I was just wondering if anyone wants it? If you want to pay £10 for it you can... Or you can have it for free, I know if you wanted it, you'd have chosen option 2.
Me, Wee Adam, Ste and Matt Cole are all making our way there by train and getting a lift back from Matt's dad, so arrange your own mode of transport... But if you stick around with us you MIGHT get backstage... I have a friend who said that she might be able to get us backstage because of some stuff to do with her brother and the city of Liverpool.

Well, the title is cheesy but it references it quite well.

So, I went to see the band Reel Big Fish live yesterday at Liverpool Academy. The venue was alot better than I thought it would be and it rocked! The Matches and Skindred were supporting (I got a hug from the singer and the guitarist from the Matches!)... The Matches were INSANE they gave the roadies a good exercise... They kept throwing stuff and knocking the microphones over and singing into just the microphone stand... They rocked. Skindred gave me and Wee Adam the courage to rock out... They were okay, not as good as the Matches, though... But we lost most of our energy by the time they finished... During the break between the Matches and Skindred, they put on some tracks from the album CHARGE!! by the Aquabats and I was singing along and it was great!

Wee Adam and I were dancing and generally being crazy during Skindred and there was quite a bit of room but that all changed when Reel Big Fish came out...
Everyone tried to push to the front (we were already pretty much at the front) and we got crushed, so there wasn't much space to dance or skank or anything which made me kinda sad... But I still sang along and clapped and waved my arms and whatnot... But it got less cramped as the show went on and I started to jump about more and stuff. About halfway through the set they told us they were recording us for the video for their next single, Don't Start a Band. And there was some crazy cameraman there, so when the video comes out in a few weeks and you watch it... If you see a long haired kid in a checkered hat and a FIVE IRON shirt... It's me... In which case it means I'm famous. BOW DOWN!

The set list was pretty good... The only song they missed which I REALLY wanted them to play was S.R. in all of it's glorious varieties... But you can't have it all... They played A Little Doubt goes a Long Way which is one of my most favourite songs EVER! Naturally, there are songs I wish they didn't play to make room for another song, like Ban the Tube Top... It's a good song, I'm just pretty sick of it and should have played Alternative Baby or Down In Flames instead. One thing I AM really happy about though is the fact that they played Boss DJ, another favourite (even though it's a cover). Good show, good times.

I wish I took a camera, though... We were pretty close to the stage and could've got some good shots and stuff... Oh well.
I am now the president of the Matt Wong fan club... After each song, my brother, Wee Adam and I all shouted "Matt Wong" in unison as loud as we could, but nothing happened =\
Scott Klopfenstein now officially knows that I love him, too... I kept shouting "I LOVE YOU, SCOTT!" and he finally heard me when they came back on stage for the encore. I also got his guitar pick... It's the one he was using, though so it's pretty battered... On one side it says "Reel Big Fish" on the other it's meant to say "Don't Start a Band" but alot of the text has came off because he was jamming so vigorously...

I probably could write more, but I'm not going to, if there's something you wish to know, ask me.
