I did get to see Underworld. Awesome movie. And I'm reading the second novel in the Eragon series, Eldest.

Years seem so long upon reflection, but then so short when not reflecting on it. 2006 should be an interesting one. I'm expecting a few changes to happen, although what they will be I don't know. I just feel like something big is going to happen.

Right before the holiday I read the DaVinci code. Wanted to read that before the movie came out. right now I've got two other novels which I'm reading, almost simultaneously, one called The Traveler by John Twelve Hawks, which I picked up from the library's shelf solely because he has such a cool name. The other is Terry Brooks, High Druid of Shannara. Now I read a couple of the early Shannara books by Terry, but missed a few in between, but if my prediction powers are still working, I'd say Brooks' books are going to be on the screen on day soon - as the genre is getting more and more popular with Hollywood.

I also just finished a book called Kingston by Starlight. Well, I got about 30 more pages to the end, anyway...

At last, Underworld Evolution comes out in a couple more weeks! Can't wait!

I wish someone had given me a subscription to the World & I magazine for a present. I miss reading that mag. Guess I'll get a subscription for myself...

Currently reading "Eragon" by Christopher Paolini
He wrote this as a teen and it's on severl bestseller lists!
Well, it is definately a worthy read, if you are looking for something fun with some adventure and vivid imaginings in it. The downside - the darves, humans and elves were standard - I wanted an original elf. I remembered when reading Tolkien it was the first time I'd encountered elves as human-sized. I guess christopher read the same books I did because in that department he doesn't bring much "new" to genre except the creatures called "Shades"

I returned the Flash MX 2004 Bible. I found it a bit hard to read the text on the bus without squinting, and there didn't seem to be any more coverage than I already had in my other books, just a more technical way of presenting it.

I've added a few fractals to my repetoire here. They were fun to make, and have restored a part of me that had been buried for weeks -- my imagination. Further work along this vein should bring more needed renewal...

I got up early today - a Saturday. Not my usual habit. But I had a lot of things I wanted to do on the computer - or with the computer. For months I haven't been able to do any of the things I've been wanting to do. Every time I sat at the computer, my mind would just go blank, or some crisis would circumvent my plans and getting back has been super-difficult -- almost impossible.

It's been one crisis after another, so by the time the weekend comes I've been exhausted mentally and physically.

I got up this Saturday morning knowing there are about 20 things that I'd like to accomplish online today. The first thing, my emails, always takes up at least 2 hours -- and I've done that. I spent another hour or so here at Deviant, commenting, questioning, and grabbed a couple of new downloads from Resurgere's stock packages. Sometimes inspiration comes from what I see staring directly at me. I've been collecting Resurgere's packages, but so far every time I get a small portion of an idea, some interruption comes along, and I have lots of trouble reclaiming those early thoughts.

I bought the Flash Mx 2004 Bible last night, and will spend a lot of time going through it, practicing with the program. At least this is the plan. And hopefully, if my little Shitzu will leave me alone long enough, and no one else I love dies or gets hurt, etc. I can get to my website, and get some stuff going.

I knew something was wrong before I even got the call. When I left, the clear sky just didn't seem to feel right. There was something in the air - my air.

By the end of the workday, I got the call. Ronnie passed away this morning. He sat underneath a tree outside and quietly died. No one witnessed his departure except the rain. But he was my soulmate - something surely was in the air that day. The hurricane was still days away.

He wasn't even 45 yet.

For the rest of the day, I was consumed with how to tell our son. I did that evening. He took it as well as I did in that we haven't reacted yet. WE're kinda frozen to it for now, but the thaw is coming, and I hope I'm nearby my child when the grief hits, so I can confort him.

Daz now owns Bryce. with all the coupons and stuff, Bryce 5 cost me $36. I'm glad. I was waiting and waiting for the price to go down, and when it finally did, I snagged it. I haven't done any Brycework for some time. I want real bad to create city scapes and city/street scenes. Guess today, I'll search around for some Bladerunner type inspiration. Might even rent the movie. Fifth element is another cool example, and Sleepy Hollow is a nice example of an old european town.
