and, for all my loyal followers and supporters, i will be adding a few extras to make the book worth while. in the completed "SUMMONS" comic book, issue 1, i will be including exclusive sketches and pin-up art that i will not post here on DA, EVER! there will also be a little soundtrack in the works that will feature musical themes for all the characters of "SUMMONS", so you can listen to some mood-appropriate tracks while you read your book! this package deal will be exclusive to my comic convention appearances, which i will post for all you guys as soon as all the products and formalities are taken care of! Any way, a good friend of mine started makins some beats and he'd like as much feedback as possible. (Meteor Sounds Change Everything) and i was blown away when he made a theme for one of my Shira-Genesis characters. Be sure to check out ELLE'S LAMENT, it's awesome, lol. Just like i aspire to in my art, Lamier mixes western, urban style with a bit of anime and other eastern influences. if you have a myspace, add him and you'll see updated beats and songs. if you don't have one, just stopping by the page and listening to his stuff would be fine. Also... HELP!!!! cuz i have NO idea what the F***** i'm doin' on that thing, lol. i need to know how to add my own music tracks from my computer and not jus the crap that you can get off the internet. also, how the hell do i add my own custom background image?

same goes for this crap, too. i have no idea how to use this damn CSS stuff. and it feels like a waste not to take advantage of it, since i paid for this whole subscription thing and all. any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Well, for starters, (deep breath...) I HAVE A PUBLISHED COMIC BOOK! And this is all under our little independent company we're starting: NEWBOUND ENTERTAINMENT. Not much, just a little something that my partners and i came up with. we called the book "The Anthology" (creative, huh?lol.), basically on account of the book being a compilation of 4 different stories by four different artists, including myself. We sold our book at the Wizard World comic convention in Philly last month, and believe it or not, we actually sold out! i'll be the first to admit that i have alot of work ahead of me, all of us involved do, but just to be able to say i have a finished book out there (however rushed, lol.) just gives me a great feeling of accomplishment. But we're not done yet! Oh No! thanks to all the feed back we got on the book and the potential it holds, through networking our asses off we now have 16 artists on board for a BOOK 2! this one is gonna be awesome! Book 1 was 56 full-color pgs front and back, and that was just 4 10 pg stories. Book 2 promises to be even better, with better talent, a longer time-frame, longer stories, and good high quality editing. We're really trying to make it happen with this one.

the comicon was really awesome, tho. i met Scott Mcdaniel (Nighwing illustrater) and got a bunch o' stuff signed and sketched by him. and i also met Talent Caldwell (Gen13/Fathom), Jim Balent (purple Catwoman), David Mack (watercolor Daredevil artist), and Flemming (sorry, can't remember first name) a cover artist for the Electra comics and recent years. i got personalized signed artwork from all of them and they really gave all of us encouragement as well as constructive criticism. not to mention there were some great independent artists there too! some even have a home here at DA!

needless to say, it was a great weekend. we had our little table, handed out our packets, exchanged business cards... you know, the whole nine. the outpour of support was just amazing. now to get to work on this book! In the meantime, i'll have a few sketches up here for you guys. until next time!
