So with my bout with the swine flu out of the way, Thanksgiving coming up. A wonderful holiday full of food and family. Gotta love it, a good old American tradition.

So I hope there has been general enjoyment of the photos that have been going up this so far this fall. I think I'm really getting a better handle on the whole printing process. My professor however did not like the concept for my final project, so that's back to the drawing board. Bummer, but I enjoyed the first idea. Oh well, got to do what will get the grades It'll probably be easier to do something else anyway, finding sets of things with one thing not like the other was actually harder than it seemed. Meh.

So I just took the time to set myself up a portfolio! It's a pretty awesome system deviantART is providing, and I know I certainly will tr to use it to the best of it's and my abilities. I'm quite excited!

It's the graduation season and I have been hard at work (ok, only slightly busy, really) with graduation cards for some of my friends who are joining the ranks of the high school graduates. Congratulations to them, and hooray for art updates!

Keep an eye out for a few more paintings/Celebratory Cephalopod Card Company logos



And to anyone who knows anything about producing prints ans such, is there anywhere you might recommend? I want to see about possibly making and distributing these cards to local stationary stores, see if there's any interest. But first I'd need to see about making the cards to sell! Any advice?

Why yes it's true, I'm posting art DURING the semester! Can't promise it'll continue regularly, it all depends on the size of my assignments. This last assignment happened to be a relativly manageble size because the professor allowed us to mount the images individually (due to any inclement weather potentially destroying the paintings). So I have art to post during the semester! Yay!

This may be it for a while though, as assignments return to the regular larger size (unfortunatly for my scanner which is relatively small, as it needs to fit on my desk.) But yeah, hope you can all enjoy what has been posted, there are still more to come for the 'series' I'm posting currently (I've got 3 of 6 up so far).

Hope everyone's 2009 is going spectacularly so far. I know mine is pretty rocking for right now Keep on doing what you're doing out there, because it's looking great!

So I've finally got some of my art together and ready for posting. I'll be adding it slowly but surely over the next few days/weeks. I've still got to collage together the not-so awesome pieces to post in one big post, as well as paste together some sketch dumps (for now those are individually in the scraps section.)

In the mean time, I need to finish my Christmas cards and my Christmas shopping (almost done!) before Christmas! It is getting closer and closer and there's been so much snow! I'm kind of hoping for a snow day from work tomorrow, fingers crossed Either way, got to do some baking tomorrow and finish up on the Christmas cards. There is always work to be done!

So I feel like Christmas is just around the corner! It's coming too quickly; I'm not ready!! I've started sketching a design for Christmas cards this year. I may have some made up, but it's kind of unlikely that I'll get it done in time. Maybe for next year, I have a lot of cards stockpiled from previous years.

As for devART news, I (almost) let my subscription run out. I enjoy it's perks and it expired today, so I just bought my new one. It was an audible Oh No! moment.

In regular art news, I have a lot of stuff from my drawing class to post. Lots of still lifes (lives?) and portraits to post. I'm planning to piece them together in a collage, except for the nice finished pieces. Limit how much I spam the inboxes of those people who watch me Think of it as early Christmas. But I can't upload those until I get home because that's where the program is. So coming soon: art updates!

as for now, I'm going back to coughing up lungs. I've got some kind of cold that has settled in my throat, but isn't painful, just annoying and coughy. I think I need to invest in some Mucinex and hibernate for a few days.

So it's a few days late, but happy autumn everyone! Time for leaves changing, cooler weather, and my favorite seasonal crafts! Hooray for pumpkin carving! Pumpkin carving is one of my favorite parts of autumn, besides my birthday (next week!) and Halloween (second only to Christmas for me )


Back at school, taking another art class, so hopefully I'll be getting some of my art from class up before winter break. It's all bigger than my scanner so it's a matter of getting good photos of it. Some of the stuff it pretty cool, most of it is sketches though, but hopefully I'll have more finished pieces by the end of the semester.

Curse the addiction to tattoo shows. I want another one, and have a plan/design already.

A few bumps in the plan: (1) I want to donate blood before I get another tattoo, but you have to wait 6 months-1 year before donating again, depending on where you live. (2) Money! I'm a poor college student and my first tattoo cost about $400 (and that was cheap for what I did) and it also varies from shop to shop. (3) Time. I have no time...maybe after Christmas holiday.

So I'm learning how to drive a stick shift. It's harder than it looks, or at least first gear is. Other than that I'm pretty good, and I've only been at it for a day.

So last Friday was my last official day of school because I don't have to take my finals. I combatted Senioritis, and won, so I don't have to take a single final, so I can go into work early this week and get some extra cash.

so yeah...way to be diseased for almost a week now....I hate being sick...it's so icky.

I've been coughing my lungs out for the past like 5 days.

I have to write more for my research paper...it's due next week...I still need 4 and 1/2 more pages to complete it....research papers suck bum.

but Thanksgiving is Thursday!! and that emans that I don't have to work Friday! and I get extra time in on Wednesday becasue of the half day! woohoo...go extra money! and then the wednesday after that I have anotehr early release! go extra cash!

I want money to buy stuff with....I want to buy Clandestine Merch...but it's wicked expensive...and I have no money right now...po...and I don't thik my mom would understand how to get the sizes right and stuff....I could write it down and such...hmm...maybe I will....I shall have to look into it...but for now I much go off and actually finish my homework before I kill myself doign it at 8PM tonight!

so my step-dad is getting me a new computer for my birthday, which is coming up. So tehre will be new art soon, hopefully. I am bumed about my lack of updates right now. but there is art waiting....I have stuff to be scanned! not to worry...so, hopefully within a month (at the most) I will have a new computer and new art up!

Sorry for the complete lack of updated-ness....still no comp of my own....and until I can get my drives up and running I'm not loading the pics up so I can upload them again later onto my own drives....it'd be too much of a pain.....so once I've got my own computer, I'll be back online with updaets....I've got stuff waiting! So there will be a severe lack of updates until I can get my computer fixed...mine went down so I'm using my parent's for the time being...I've got some stuff, but there's no sense in scanning it yet beacsue there is no way to ensure that it will remain ntact until my computer is up and running...hopefully there will be a big update once my computer is up and running again...and that should hopefully be on the road by this weekend...

just in case anybody sees this who was there, I was at ConnetiCon this past weekend. I had a blast ^_^ the girls I met at the party were awesome, and the DJ(s) were great too ^_^
