So... the only things I'm watching at the moment are WWE and Total Nonstop Action wrestling.

We're looking for more players over at Show the Colours [link] , a great Age of Sail RPG. You can play as a character from an AoS fandom (I play Bolitho, but we still need a Hornblower and a Jack Aubrey!) or you can create a character of your own. You can play characters in the army, the navy, or both. And if you need any further incentive, here's the plot summary:

The year is 1809. It is May.

Five months ago, the British were driven from the Peninsula, fighting every step of the way. But now... Now it is time to fight again.

Not all the British left. There is a small contingent in Lisbon, waiting for the arrival of Sir Arthur Wellesley. Can he take them from defeat to victory?

The story is ours to write...

So here are my 8 random facts:

1. I have three bowling trophies. My grade school used to have a school-wide bowling tournament every year, and I won the Girls' Best Bowler Trophy in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. But I don't really bowl anymore these days.

2. I can recite the first 18 lines of the prologue to Chaucer's "Canterbury Tales" entirely in Middle English. We had to memorize it for my AP English class senior year in high school, and it's just kinda stuck with me ever since. I recite it occasionally when I feel like it.

3. My favorite Bath and Body Works scents are Country Apple and Warm Vanillia Sugar. Mix them and it's almost like having apple pie a la mode...or not.

4. I have met several current/former WWE wrestlers in person, including Mick Foley and Kevin Nash.

5. One of my favorite rides at Disney World was Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. I was so bummed when they closed it down 10 years ago. I do like the Winnie the Pooh ride that they replaced it with, but nothing can ever match Mr. Toad.

6. My favorite magazine is ToyFare, which I've been getting since it came out. I orignially started buying it because I was really into collecting Star Wars figures. Even though I don't collect as many figures as I used to (with a few exceptions like POTC figures), it's still my favorite magazine because it's so hilariously put-together. It's so crazy I end up laughing even at jokes I don't get!

7. Guinea pigs are my second favorite pets, after dogs. I had 3 guinea pigs when I was younger, but after the last one died I haven't gotten any more. They're really cute little things, and I'll always like looking at them even if I never get another one of my own.

8. M&M Blizzards are my favorite kind of treat from Dairy Queen. Although, Peanut Buster Parfaits are good too...

Counting the days 'till PotC 2! Heh, remember my fangirly excitement over finding the Captain Jack Sparrow fruit snacks waaay back a few months ago? Now, I don't know where I'll find him in the grocery store next! To date, I've seen (and bought) PotC cereal, Lunchables, M&M's, ice cream sandwiches, and ice cream cones. And that's just the food promo stuff! There's tons of action figures, toys, books, puzzles, etc. etc. already floating around. And yes, I've bought quite a few of those too!

The "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" trailers (both the US and UK versions) are unbelievable! I command thee to downloadeth them now! Heh, just teasing. But I highly recommend seeing them if you're an HP fan, although I'm sure most HP fans have seen them already. There's a bunch of stuff in both trailers that is not to be missed! Especially that last split-second shot of OMG! RALPH FIENNES AS VOLDEMORT! *fangirly squee*

As you can plainly tell, I've been on a Potter high the past two days. Got my copy of HBP at midnight and just finished it this morning. I'm not saying anything other than the fact that it's simply INCREDIBLE. I think it's now my fav HP book period.

Oh yes, and go see "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", if you have yet to catch it. Wonderful movie.

Has anyone seen the 1943 film version of Phantom with Claude Rains? The credits should have said "Based LOOSELY on the Composition by Gaston Leroux." Seriously, the movie in itself isn't bad, but as an adaptation of Phantom it downright stinks! I don't wanna give anything away for those who haven't seen it, but let's just say they completely defeat the purpose of the story. I'd only recommend it if you're looking for a bit of amusement.

On the "good" movie front, I found "The Jury" mini-series on DVD at the library, which is a very compelling watch. I'd definitely recommend it for Gerard fans or anyone looking for a good courtroom drama.

Also, I thought I'd start posting up my Dracula and Van Helsing back story fic I've written. I have the whole thing up on my LJ, but I figured I'd go ahead and put it here too since I seem to be finding a lot of fellow VH fans around DA

Eh, not much to say really. I'm almost done with my Erik trade pic for

I was quite glad that "Spamalot" won best musical at the Tony's. Haven't actually seen the show (I want to, believe me!), but I put a hold on the soundtrack at the library so I should be able to listen to it soon. Being a major Python fan (see my username

), it's good to see them finally getting some recognition from the establishment.

And how hot was Hugh Jackman doing his singing and dancing routine? Rawr. That man is talented!
