January, the start of the year, would probably be the peak of my activities. I finally met the love of my life, Jordan , after almost 2 years of long distance relationship. And also, along with it are the almost never ending major projects i had to do in school. Birthday parties. It was a tough work. But the whole month was the best time of my life. As i'm writing this journal, Jordan is currently on his way back to Australia and I have been so needy of him since the minute I left him at the airport.

Oh well, I hope I can post some new photos soon.. I probably start with a new dev id bwahaha.

I'm also excited about my college graduation this April! Cant imagine all the studying is finally coming to an end. But I have one hurdle more, the LICENSURE EXAMS. Let's hope and pray that i become a licensed nurse by June 2009.

FACTS ABOUT ME

Before I'm human, I'm an Incubus fan! Incubus is just an intelligent band, intelligent music, lyrics and melody.. and Incubus is not trying (like other bands) to be "cool" in some bizarre ways(that I wont mention here) or to be super hard rockers just to have a certain level of awesomeness, they're great soo great for me because they create music which everyone can relate with. Although I love other bands like Muse, Coldplay, The Kooks and other, I think Incubus is my all-time fave.

I'm so proud of being a (student) nurse! I save lives, help people and reach out to them. Even though there are a multitude of students these days take up this course because of its demand globally, in fact we should be more proud that our country is producing more nurses because nurses are PROFESSIONALS WITH A HEART. Nurses not just make money.

I hate Rihanna.

I have seen a live pumping heart, intestines and uterus right in front of my face during an operation.

I think I'm diabetic now. (drinking too much soda and eating sweets without compensating it with water).

I have a crush on Zach Braff (Scrub's JD). I just find him insanely hot!

_{Sembreak 2007 is finally here! Oh yeah I want to do lotsa things during this almost 3-week break since this would probably be my last sembreak until I graduate.
How come? Well the last 4 semesters would be a series of hectic duties even in holidays, and a lot of studying for the preparation of Nursing Licensure Exam and NCLEX.}

About me, still alive and kicking .. I've been better now from the colds, headache and slight fever last week and its good that I have easily recovered from it.

Oh well.. so yeah I must make the most of this. Im really planning to having more nightouts with my friends, two, I must clean my room, three, I should visit our home in Victoria 'coz I miss my dogs now and lastly hang out with my highschool friends. And oh, I wanna practice more golf this time.

DevKids = A Community Project by members of #Photographers to get together and organize a children's charity project for the underprivileged.

Commonly most photography devMeets I've seen being held on deviantArt has one objective or purpose: To gather a group of deviantArt members from a local community to walk around a particular part of town and take photos. Most of the time, it's a grab for who can find the best spots and the best shots once the devMeet is over and have a mini critique session thenafter over a cup of iced lemon tea or latte.

Community-relations are nurtured in such an event, and having a time of your life through fun and experience can instill stronger bondings in friendship and understanding how one works compared to another. Chances are, for selfish reasons. I wanna get this shot, and I wanna get it for my own. But when someone finds that there's compositional value to it, like a swarm of flies target-locking on a piece of shit, everyone gathers and takes the same shot. Happens, I know. I've been there and done that with other local photography community too. Hehe.

With August the month for deviantArt's 7th Year Anniversary, why not bring our community outreach to a higher level and involve others outside of deviantArt? Celebrating art through deviantArt's dA Loving Day can mean alot more if one's devMeet involves those who are disabled either physically, or physiologically. Cost factor is low, and by going under the umbrella of deviantArt, you're not only doing good unto others, you're also giving yourself a 'feel good factor' that at least once in your life, you're reaching back to the community. Here's some ideas you can put through to your future local photography evKids devMeet

* Gather a minimum of 5 deviants (the more the merrier) and collect from each at least two point and shoot cameras either film (with also a minimum of two rolls - 36 frames - per camera) or low end digitals.

* Look for a nearby orphanage/shelter home and ask permission preferably in writing to bring twice the number of deviants out on a photo-hunt; ie two child per deviant.

* Organize a theme, be it street, photojournalism, nature, or even portrait.

* See the world through their eyes and teach them the basics of photography: "compose, aim, focus, shoot"

* Keep a record of which camera is used by which child and what shot was made. Bring along a writing pad.

* Be safe. Have fun! (Include some meals for the kids if possible)

* Gather back when finish, and if everyone's on digital, start showing off their works around.

* If on film, bring the kids home, develop & scan/print the shots, and decide on either the followings:


* Split your team to manage things: A financial treasurer, project manager, media liaison, sponsorship liaison, event management, etc.

* Print at least 2 of the best of each child's shot and send it back to them for remembrance. Preferably any size above 8R.

* Print for a gallery, either in an actual one, or organize to have one in their orphanage/shelter home.

im writing a journal in the desire to kill time because im alone(dad and mom went to a christening ceremony) in the house and i have fever and my headache just really sucks. so bad that i cant go to school today and i found out that i missed one quiz in my dreaded Pharma subject. sigh. i think im going to fail that course..

after so many days of
okay so i'll be away for 3 days. hehe just for 3 days because of our duty in Pansol, Pila, Laguna for a community immersion. (FYI Pansol is a rural area) Monday-Wednesday for 3 weeks.
i dont think im ready for Pansol yet. i have fever and i dont feel like sleeping in somebody's house and adapt to the style of living they have there. i dunno, im just NOT ready YET.
but hey what can i do.
i need to go there or else im going to make-up and pay P1,200 for every duty that i will miss.
sigh.

From there I was encouraged to take more photos and to learn more about AP CS2. hehe back then i was like.. "hmmm..i should give it a try". so yeah i took photos which are really crappy but thanks for people who has been patient enough to critique em and give me advices and stuff.. i also tried doing some vector arts in my sparetime..

I also got featured in some deviants page and that really motivated me more to do photography, but what can i do, i am left with a really crappy camera. and i cant convince my parents to buy me one since they always say "what the hell..whats the use of camera in BS Nursing ha young woman?!" and im always like, "sigh.. okay nevermind, one day i'll have my own camera.." but its really okay. i can wait. i have to finish my studies first.

What I can not forget about dA is the friends that i gained.. not just here in the Philippines but international too. even Filipinos in some countries, i had chance to meet and be friends with them and to share works of art with them.

I'm no photographer really, its just my hobby and i'm just wishing i have all the time to take photos with the camera i have. hehe i even labeled myself the "Cameraphone Photographer" since some of my photos here are taken with just a camera phone.

This is kinda weird but I know im a photographer by heart. For me, having a camera and developing a good eye on it aren't just the factors of being a good photographer but it is the appreciation of the littlest things in the world.. captured using a camera since it can no longer be that again at the same time and place.. and i think thats me. i may not have all the necessary things and basics for photography but i know i have the eye that sees the importance and value in every thing and every event in this world.

So yeah i think i should rap up this journal by saying "Thank You" again to all of you people and most especially to these people who have touched my heart (woo mushy mushy), for the friendship and inspiration, thanks a lot, really. i love you guys. i will see you soon. im going to be pretty busy now starting monday. im now an intern!

Finally, after weeks of suffering from no-signal-days..I finally got my net back! yay! This is really delighting me.. hehe.

I miss everyone soo much and I'm glad i can speak to them again regularly..

Anyways, what's up with me..
well..
- I just moved in to a new house.. nice new place here inside Fort Bonifacio.. i like my new room..i like the neighborhood except that phone signal here is terrible. argh

- Two weeks later, I'm going to be a semi-fulfilled nurse! yeah.. Capping ceremonies will be on June 30. it is the day where i finally become an intern. hehe. Im so excited about my duty uniform, scrubs suit, nursing cap etc.! waahhh i cant wait!

- Im gonna be really really really damn busy this semester. my off is only on thursdays.. what the hell, we have to "review" all subjects we took since first year like Physics, Sociology, Chemistry and it will be included in our grades! whats the point?
this is such a burden for me! I exerted soo much effort just to pass all those subject and now ima take it up again?! now whats the fuckin point?!

For now only two entries have been submitted for the Max J Studio Comic competiton. Deadline to the competition is in 2 days and not many there is not much entries to judge upon. So I decided to extend the deadline to June 8, right after all of my assignments for school are done. However if I don't get 10 or more entries by the deadline, then I would have to cancel the competition. Those of you who are really into the competition, if you want to keep the competition alive in order to win the prizes, tell your mates about the competition and get them to participate. The more people entering, the better the competition gets

Here are the information of the competiton again:

*People will have a chance to create an episode for Max J Studio comics.

*They will come up an original and funny joke based on the environment of Max J Studio. It can either be another idea of torturing poor Angelo or something wacky and new.

*Entries can be in any format - flash, pictures, photo, etc

*The entries will be judged by me, my brother and my friend Richard by its style of the entry, and the originality and humor of the joke. Bonus points if you can include more than four Max J Studio characters.

*The 1st prize winner will get a free animation about the winner, animated by me and it can be about ANYTHING. You can have yourself being a stud, a princess, asskicker or just yourself. You can instruct me what to put in, what you gonna do and what it is gonna be about. The winner's animation is limited from 30 second to 1 minute.

*Thats not all! The top 3 winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd) will get a guest appearance in one of the upcoming episodes in Max J Studio.

*The deadline is until June 8. Entries can be submitted as a deviation through link or through email. Note me for my email address if your entry is ready!

Well.. First week of summer classes is over and there are 5 more...
i tell you what, I got 5 bumps in my face during the first week, which makes it more sad. i hate seeing bumps in my face.. argh.. AND i hate hate hate hate my sched! (Monday-Saturday 8am-6pm that is) sigh. The sched is soo jam packed and midterm exams will be next week. In addition for me being out weird is that I just got my broadband disconnected so im currently using dial-up.

In about a month, we're going to move to a new house inside Philippine Army camp.. My dad was awarded a two-storey house and its still under renovation. Its not that too big but is okay for the three of us, but i still want to live in our home in Victoria. Well I cant wait to live there because i feel more secured there. But there are curfews on that area so, goodluck to me. haha.

Indeed, im getting really busy.. Im now in my third year in college hopefully everything will go well in my nursing career. And oh, capping ceremonies will be on June, yay! To those who do not have an idea, capping ceremony is the day in which i will officially become an intern. After capping ceremonies, Im now allowed to go to duties in the hospitals. Im really excited to wear my duty uniforms and scrubs etc.

Even though Im going busy in the future, I will still peek in dA once in a while..I will still sign in everyday but wont be long especially in chatrooms.. ( by the way you can find me in this channel : #unseenphotographers )

but there's a light on..in victoria().. and i know i should be home..

Im making this journal before we leave for Victoria (a beautiful town in Tarlac,Phils just incase you dont have idea) later this afternoon...
i only have two weeks of vacation before summer classes.. but aint sure yet cause battery exams results arent up yet... but im quite confident cause first, i am NOT getting failing grades in my entire school life.. secondly, i did well in the oral revalida.. well of course i still think that worst might happen so uhm... IF ever i dont qualify the battery exams, this would be just a hint that im really not for nursing. and if that would happen, i'm gonna take up what i want.. despite of my parents desire. i really wanted to take up Journalism or Communication Arts or Computer Engineering.. but i understand that my parents being practical nowadays thats why im forced to study nursing because its got a good demand. alright, so uhm i just hope to pass the exams, thats it for the dilemma.

well..like i said i only got a two-week vacation, on the 14th and 15th of April our family will go to Subic for a beach party.. yay, i really miss the beach.. time to relax, chill, unwind... plus, i need to really lose weight. dammit i gained a whopping 5 lbs from 105 lbs.. and no i must not gain more.. and the most difficult part is, i enjoy eating on vacation.. my parents also decided not to go to Baguio again this holy week, they preferred to stay at home, so i'm thinking of anything worthwhile to do during holy week aside from being holy. lol.

also, this means that i wouldn't go online for a week or two i guess. so please leave some love on my crappy devs while im off.. i promise to return back the love to you as soon i get on dA again..

one good thing about being home is that i get to bond with my highschool friends. most especially my best friend. my ears are dying to hear good news or gossips about everything..
