I just had the best long weekend of my life. I love annual family reunions. But this year was a tad bit different, cause for the first time in my 19 years of attendence, I got to say hi to everyone! I made it my goal.

And for the first time ever I rocked out to Say Hi on stage. I have never had that kind of stage presence ever.

And the drunkenness!

Remember when you were a kid and you just wanted to grow up? I'm not even that old yet and I am petrified of growing old.

So I realized it'll be 6 years that I've been on this site on July 18, 2009.

I know what you're thinking... "How does this make sense? It says you've only been here for 2 years?!"

...Well, think about it. I had 2 other accounts before this one that I closed down all for a new user name. But believe me, they were bad. I was 13 when I joined this site, so I wasn't exactly clever when I typed in my soon to be alias. I loved video games more than I do now, and I didn't take pictures, I drew.

Note: As much as I would love to show this stuff, you'd probably go blind that's how much I suck at drawing.

Eventually in September of 2003, I created a new account because I was was sick of my user name (so soon?)

It wasn't until 2005 that I picked up my sister's Sony CyberShot 3.0MP camera and went walking that I discovered how much fun it was to take pictures. I ended up buying 2 cameras during this period and on Jun 18th, 2006 I decided to migrate accounts once again. During this time I acquired a c. 1967 Ricoh Singlex TLS (35mm film) and a Polaroid Impulse (Polaroid 600 film). Christmas of 2008 brought my newest camera, the Canon Rebel XS .

And now, I am quite comfy here. I remember when I'd go on the main page and NOT see porn every third picture (I have actually turned on the content filter for this reason.) And how people actually went to the main page and scouted out eye catching deviations.

Thank you DA for all the great times and ones to come. Lately his account has been pretty dead, but I swear that will change in the coming months.

I feel bad editing pictures from my new camera cause I find it defeats the purpose, but at the same time, some just look so much nicer.

PS: Hoping to go to Manitoulin Island and take some pictures of the creepy abandoned houses. There must be hundreds of them.

I've become more and more fascinated by abandoned buildings lately. Especially Dixmont State Hospital (RIP, wish I could have seen it.)

I'll feel so much better when the winter is gone. I hate winter photography in Sudbury. It's like looking at a blank piece of paper.

Other than that, life's pretty good right now. I'm very excited for reading week. I downloaded the leak of Oohs & Aahs cause I couldn't wait 'til March 3rd; but I will definitely buy the album when it's out.

It really is something, I love it.
