If you are reading this right now, you have more luxury than someone in Iran could ever hope for right now. If you are watching TV or a video on youtube, updating your status on Facebook, Tweeting, or even texting your friend, you are lucky. If you are safe in your home, and were able to sleep last night without the sounds of screaming from the rooftops, you need to know and understand what is happening to people just like you in Iran right now.

They are not the enemy. They are a people whose election has been stolen. For the first time in a long time, a voice for change struck the youth of Iran, just as it did for many people in the United States only seven months ago. Hossein Mousavi gained the support of millions of people in Iran as a Presidential candidate. He stands for progressiveness. He supports good relations with the West, and the rest of the world. He is supported with fervor as he challenges the oppressive regime of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
>On Friday, millions of people waited for hours in line to vote in Iran's Presidential election. Later that night, as votes came in, Mousavi was alerted that he was winning by a two-thirds margin. Then there was a change. Suddenly, it was Ahmadinejad who had 68% of the vote - in areas which have been firmly against his political party, he overwhelmingly won. Within three hours, millions of votes were supposedly counted - the victor was Ahmadinejad. Immediately fraud was suspected - there was no way he could have won by this great a margin with such oppposition. Since then, reports have been coming in of burned ballots, or in some cases numbers being given without any being counted at all. None of this is confirmed, but what happened next seems to do the trick.


The people of Iran took the streets and rooftops. They shout "Death to the dictator" and "Allah o akbar." They join together to protest. Peacefully. The police attack some, but they stay strong. Riots happen, and the shouting continues all night. Text messaging was disabled, as was satellite, and websites which can spread information such as Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and the BBC are blocked in the country. At five in the morning, Arabic speaking soldiers (the people of Iran speak Farsi) stormed a university in the capital city of Tehran. While sleeping in their dormitories, five students were killed. Others were wounded. These soldiers are thought to have been brought in by Ahmadinejad from Lebanon. Today, 192 of the university's faculty have resigned in protest.
Mousavi requested that the government allow a peaceful rally to occur this morning - the request was denied. Many thought that it would not happen. Nevertheless, first a few thousand people showed up in the streets of Tehran. At this point, it is estimated that 1 to 2 million people were there. Mousavi spoke on the top of a car. The police stood by. For a few hours, everything was peaceful. Right now, the same cannot be said. Reports of injuries, shootings, and killings are flooding the internet. Twitter has been an invaluable source - those in Iran who still know how to access it are updating regularly with picture evidence. People are being brutally beaten. Tonight will be another night without rest for so many in Iran no older than I am. Tonight there is a Green Revolution.

That being said, my lil’ mini-hiatus I had set myself on is now going to be indefinite, as the computer takes up far more time than it should for me, and I really can’t afford that. I'll only be on about once a week now, if that.

Had to get up at 5:28 AM in order to get to school on time, after only getting a few hours of sleep the night before. The administration has completely screwed up everyone's schedules(ex: Last year, we had about 500-600 students in five different chorus classes. This year, the same amount of people signed up. But only sixty-six people actually got put into one of the classes. Out of 500+ who should be in there.). Also, I am very, VERY glad my bus route has been reversed so I get off first. Because otherwise, I would be walking home, to avoid putting up with these stupid little boys who can't kept their crude comments about other's anatomy to themselves. If it doesn't stop soon, or if the driver doesn't kick them off the bus, I'll be reporting them to the administarotrs myself.

That light was friggin' yellow as I went under it. I did not run a friggin' red light, and my mom agrees with me. There were other people turning with me, going under the light AT THE SAME TIME AS ME. Why the hell didn't he pull one of them over?!?!
I didn't get a ticket, just a warning, but STILL. ASSHAT.

And she was able to get tickets to the world premiere of 'Cars'. And guess who got to go. AMIGAD, IT WAS SO FREAKIN' AWESOME! They had these three ENORMOUS screens set up, and the speakers were HUUUGE, and they had Larry the Cable Guy there. *snort* And the movie was actually pretty darn good! My standards for Disney have kind of dropped as of late, but overall, it was really good. So, go see it and stuff when it hits theaters officially. X3 Ahhhhh, everything was sooooo freeeeakin' coooooool. Note to self: send Aunt Mary a thank you card. A really big one.

I'm taking three AP classes(damn you, selective colleges!), along with theatre II, some painfully easy math course(because I SUCK at math :sweat: ), and two language courses, French II and German I. For some reason, some people seemt o find it weird that I want to be an actress and a linguist. o idea why. X3

- Chorus teacher is leaving for the rest of the year, due to her having neck injuries from a car accident and needing surgery to repair a disk in her neck. O.o It makes me sad, 'cause she's an awesome teacher, and now we're just gonna get stuck with some horrible substitue for who knows how long. >_< A lot of the girls (the ones who don't even want to be in the class, signed up to get an easy credit, and are failing anyway :\) were being more than lsightly rude and stepping on some of the sheet music she had people organize for her all class period as we were leaving today. >__< I wanted to hit a few of 'em... Bah.
- I was reminded of one of the reasons why I freakin' love my sissy today: Her brains are like...WOAH. 1) I can and will be painfully polite/humble to people, especially elders and people I admire, unless they expressly tell me not to. X3
2) I will never be intentionally rude or mean to people. I don’t see the point in putting others down for one’s own enjoyment.
3) The smell of pure chamomile make me nauseated.
4) And so, apparently, does the smell of lemongrass.
5) I am a tea fiend. There are very few types of tea I don’t like. X3
6) I LOVE hats. Especially odd ones.
7) I love Mexican food, because I love spicy/hot stuff. I don’t like bland food.
8) I have no respect for those who are rude to and have no respect for others.
9) People who flames/threaten dub voice actors seriously annoy me. Even if I wasn’t dead-set on becoming a voice actor myself, it would annoy me. I mean, if you don’t like the dub of a series or something, then just don’t watch it, and save the rest of us from having to hear your complaining. Simple as that. And threatening someone’s life when they “kill your favorite character”? That’s just disgusting…
10) (Hah, look what I have to look forward to XD)
11) Unless I want or absolutely have to do something, I will not do it. I am LAZY. X3
12) Unwanted physical contact with anyone, no matter who, drives me INSANE.
13) Out of all the voice actors I admire, I absolutely adore Vic Mignogna(VA of Edward Elric on ‘FullMetal Alchemist’, among many,many,many, mnay more roles). I’ve talked to him once or twice via e-mail, and he is SO incredibly nice. *.*
14) Spiders and cockroaches scare the crap outta me. X3
15) I don’t mind profanity that much, but when people overuse it, as in every other word is “#$*%!”, then it bugs me.
16) It bugs me a bit to see people spazzing out/rabid-fan-girling over celebrities and such. I mean, they’re just normal people…
17) I procrastinate on almost everything(again, unless I want to do it). X3 Right now, I should be typing a book report.
18) I have discovered that browsing the Anime/Manga/Comics forums on gaiaonline.com for too long is not good for your mental health. X_x
19) I am NEVER having children. NEVER.
20) I am addicted to Sobe drinks. ^^
