Yesterday, at 8am sharp, a bus-full of textiles students headed down to the Myer Fashion Awards Australia, yours truely being one of them. I thought we had left a bit late and I was right because we had to get changed reeeeeeally quickly for the judging. So my hair, makeup and entry piece weren't right.

I didn't expect to come anything, because I was being judged against the whole of the secondary section for my category, and I can tell you now, its tough.

After we got our chance to parade down the catwalk at the dinner, we got to sit at our table and watch the professionals do it properly.
One thing that entertained us through all the models "freeze-frame slow" walks, was a fact circulated to us by our teacher (shame on her) that one of the models used to be a man.

We had good fun trying to figure which one.

Jacquie turned into Jack, and Kate transformed to Kevin. When it was time to leave, my table had compiled a list of questions that hopefully the managing staff could answer, which included such things as; the quality of the peeled carrots; and whether it was possible if a model could walk any faster if you chased her with a big scary mask.

Intelligent and deserving questions, I know.

I still have one more competition for my dress to go through but that's not until September.

I've been finding it hard to do some drawing lately. And it doesn't help that I'm still getting my head around my tablet and using photoshop. Its nearly a completely different style from drawing by hand for me.
I will get there.

I'm finalising competition details also.

p.s. What is with American's writing 'realise' with z's? I'm incline to know why.

Long time no speak. I know I hardly ever put journals up so I thought this would be a nice change. My art is going swell despite the fact that I have to go back to school tomorrow for the hardest semester ever; semester TWO!
I vowed to myself that I would work hard in these ones and beat my last exam scores (which weren't too shabby might I add, all A's)

But because of school, my drawing might be hindered. My current WIP just resurfaced from under the mountain of papers on my desk so that will be resumed.

Also, I've noticed that I haven't actually done much in the way of SDL. Feel free to note me if you want to duel.

Well, homework awaits (sooo much! do the teachers think that their class is the only one I take!?) and there's plenty of better things to do than read my lame log. Just keeping you updated!

School starts again and one of my subjects is Desgin. I'm starting up downhill mountain biking with my brother and am doing up a downhill helmet. All my design and graphics plus the sketches can be seen on my Design account, communal-socks
I haven't got anything up yet but thats because of my lack of time. There's a great big pile just waiting to be photographed and scanned up. I also take commissions for and bike helmet designs or graphics of any kind. Note me at communal-socks.

im at my dads right now and he doesnt really have a crash hot scanner so im waiting until i get back home to put my latest up here...

not alot going on except for sleeping and drawing and the ocainsional bit of homework...
i've started a new style of drawing and am liking alot right now so a few of my pics will be in that style...

production for the better version of Clarissa's Faith is underway! my old water colour pencils ran out so im having to do it with normal derwints but it still should look good!... hopefully

well i've started a new project while im just colouring Clarissa and it mini child versions of book characters from books in my bookshelf
so you get a preveiw of wats in my book shelf ... nice

well better go and eat something to survive not that living is really important who does that anymore, seriously

i have found my good pencils again (thank goodness) and am now starting on a peice for my friend clarissa. sorry but this is going to be a very short entry since i have to go do daily stuff ect ect but you get the idea

my basic idea for this drawing is to have the main girl in the middle with a big fancy dress on with all different bad things that have happened in her life in the background.. hopefully it wont be too morbid (i'm really not aiming for that)

but i need some help in the way of finding stuff to put In the background for i have run out of ideas at 1 silly i know

hopefully i can find inspiration somewhere *looks around room blankly* haha wish me luck!

i think that this one's going to take longer than all the others so i might not be able to put it up for a while...

my very first joural entrie so here goes

i was never really that into manga and anime till my brother turn me onto it. i'd watch cartoons and shows till i could sort of replicate some of the characters and then my brother got this great manga and anime drawing book that helped me take my drawing to a better level... so here i am practising my little heart out and i hope you like it

im into school holidays here in australia so i got plenty of time on my hands. we generally dont do alot in the hols so im hoping to get about eight new pics up here (old and new)

it really helps when you comment on my pics and give some handy hints because it helps me mature as an artist
