It's been a while since I last updated my journal it seems :faint: I've been neglecting my DA duties for several months now, and it doesn't seem to be getting any better in the future either. University is taking up all my free time still (same old, same old..), and being on the last semester of my final year, all my 5 current projects are very time-consuming and important for my bachelor degree. I'm still alive! Though incredibly swamped by university work at the moment. Our first 6 weeks of intense group work is finally over, only to be replaced by two more modules plus 2 days a week worth of work on our final dissertation outside of teaching time. Which leaves me with next to no time for anything else, as I want to try my best at getting high grades at the end of the year, and not just pass with the bare minimum required. Feels kinda sad to be back in England again, I would have loved to stay at my parents' house in Finland much longer. Woohoo, finally I've got my Christmas holiday break aswell, and what a well-deserved break that is! The last week I was so busy finishing off one of my uni projects, that I literally couldn't find any time to be on here and answer comments or do anything else for that matter. I had to spend 16 hours every day doing my project, and I only narrowly managed to get it done on time. I can't believe it's already December and only 3 weeks left 'til Christmas! :faint: I haven't even started my Christmas shopping yet :lmao: I think one of my wishes has come true already though - England has been buried under a thick layer of snow in the past week, which is very unusual this early on in the year especially. The last two days we (in the East part of the country) got well over 8 inches (>20cm) of snow, and I know most parts of the country have got a lot more than us aswell. Just a quick update, since nothing much has happened in the last month that's worth mentioning. Halloween is finally here, and although I'm not a huge fan of it, it's still nice sitting inside all cozy and worm and eating sweets when it's dark and rainy outside. Autumn is now finally here, with chilly winds, rain and tonnes of school work! Well, no school work just yet, but I'm sure there will be soon. According to our induction day previously in the week, this year (as opposed to last year), the tutors have crammed many more projects and essays in a faster pace and with shorter due-in dates :faint: Doesn't sound fun! Holiday?
So, it's finally Easter holidays, a break I've been looking forward to for the last few months! A chance to catch up with work, finish off commissions, manage some own personal projects, drawings and so on.. Unfortunately, on the 30th of March, my fiancés dad had a horrible accident and is now in hospital in critical condition with major brain injuries and fractures. The last week we've been spending every day up at the hospital, awaiting any news and updates. He is being kept sedated for another week or so, and although he is stable at the moment, no-one knows what's going to happen.. My graphics tablet has broken though!! I've only been using it for like a year, and now it's stopped working for me. It was only a cheapy one, i can't afford proper expensive Wacom tablets, even though that's like my dream to own one.. Have to get another one someday, but for now I guess my work has to slow down a bit and I have to rely on my mouse to do the work for me hehe. Maybe i'll go back to scetching for a little while, but ive seen so many gorgeous images and i just want a tablet so i can ]]>
