Activity wise, I'll either be sitting on my butt in front of the piano, practicing like mad for my audition, or sitting on my butt in front of the computer doing homework, deviantart, etc. etc. some life, haha.
Oh! I'm finally taking a photography course at our school for one semester. We're doing only black and white film photography, which is a bit different from what I'm use to, but it'll be interesting to learn something I'm not accustomed to.

Have fun all! I'll be trying to post up more of my accumulated pics!

woot! I just got back from the Piano Arts competition in Wisconsin and our short excursion to the sand dunes in Michigan City (northern Indiana). The competition went well and was extremely fun. All the competitors bonded with one another which was very neat and unique. I'll post up some pics of it under my scraps. Oh, and I won a scholarship to this music festival in New York for next year, which oughta be very fun.

After the competition, my mother and I went around visiting a few places (mainly the sand dunes), so I started getting photo-taking happy, especially with the seagulls. It was my first time trying to take pictures of fast and constantly moving animals. I think I took around ... 150 or so pictures of them (the first 100 or so were terrible). Towards the end, I kinda got the hang of it thank goodness it was a digital camera.... hahaha

I'll try (keyword, try) to get all the good pictures posted up before the end of the summer...
Hope everybody is doing well! Have fun!

Summer's finally here! We got out of school about a week ago, and since then I've been practicing my butt off for this piano competition that I'm going to next week. It'll end on the Monday of the week after. Then, my family and I will go to glacier park and some sand dunes (plenty of photographing opportunities.... ). I still have a lot of photographs stored up from past that should be posted... ah well, I'll do that after the piano competition.

Till then, have a flabbergastingly splendid summer! Have fun
I apologize profusely if I have not been commenting on people's works lately or updating often! 2-3 weeks ago, we had our final exams for end of semester and for this month, teachers are dumping projects on us, and I have record this tape for audition into piano competition by end of month (which I'm not quite ready for). (Whoa, that's a long sentence. oh well)
Other than that, things have been going fairly well. The last remnants of snow are dwindling which is too bad. Hope all goes well for you!

Greetings Earthlings, Aliens, and Others~

It was a nice Thanksgiving break last week, and my family ate duck instead of turkey (as usual). (We find turkey rather dry.) Hope you all enjoyed yours.

Tis less than 3 weeks till Christmas break, and I can't wait till it starts snowing so I can try taking some pics of it! (that is, not to mention that there is the possibility of canceling school because of the snow.) Also, my friends and I are going to have a Lord of the Rings extended edition marathon during break. (The 3rd extended edition comes out December 14th. You can see the preview at [link] .)

I truly appreciate all the support that you gave me on my series, "Tales of the Fat Squirrel." It truly enlightens me to know that you found them just as amusing as I did. I have several more pics of the Fat Squirrel, but I probably will not post all of them up.

a dilemna... thoughts appreciated - There are a few of the squirrel pictures that I would want to enter into some competitions outside and in deviant art. (I have not ran across any competitions inside deviant art yet.) Some competitions do not allow pics that have already previously been submitted. Thus, I am torn between sharing them with you now and keeping them for possible later competitions.

Fate has stabbed me in the heart... :bawl: A week ago, my sister needed the digital camera (Cannon PowerShot A70), so I gave the camera to her. She needs it for trips every weekend to take pictures of things for Biology (and probably friends too in the end). (She's currently in college majoring in Evironmental Bio.) Sooo.... I parted with my precious camera..... waaaahhhhh!!

My parents, knowing I really did love photography and would treasure my camera for the rest of my life, thought that it was worthy enough of an investment to buy me a camera within the $200-300 range for now (thank you mommy and daddy). If anybody has some good suggestions, please do share. Anything is appreciated.

The choices we think are likely - Konica Minolta Z10 and Cannon S1 IS. The Z10's lens shakes and doesn't have sound to movie with 8x optical zoom. (Sound is preferable b/c of trips.) S1's reaction time and focusing time is much slower than Z10 but has sound to movie and image stabilizer lens with 10x optical zoom. From looking at sample pictures though, I like Z10's quality better. Since it doesn't have sound and shakes at the lens though, it seems like it won't be a choice.... Any of your thoughts are heartily welcomed with embracing arms.

I think I may just wait till Christmas time when sales are everywhere and possibly new models will come out. Question is, can I wait that long? I still have quite a bit of photos from the Cannon A75 to touch up and submit though. We'll see what the future holds....
