Well....it's been a while...haha.

The main reason I haven't put anything up is because I haven't been able to make or draw anything because of the summer holidays. Which were fun. :aww: First we went to the UK then came here to Taiwan, where I am now currently living. :D

I graduated from high school this year, so now I'm taking a year off to come here to Taiwan and study chinese. So yeah, livin' in my apartment in Taipei. :D Obviously, the recent drawings I've put up have all been in my chinese notebook....during class, haha. :giggle:

I unfortunately don't have a scanner so I can only take pictures of my drawings, but I've got a good camera so it's okay. Expect more drawings coming up, now that I have nothing but time.....o.o'''

Man it's been a while. ^^; I've been lazy...

Well a lot has actually gone on, unbelievably. First off, I've been working a lot on all my sock creations. And as you can see I've been working on this new idea, sock doll keychains. Those baby socks are so cute and perfect for those things.

So last weekend there was this arts and crafts fair in this church, so my mom decided to get us some tables there so I could sell my sock dolls and she could sell the earings and necklaces she makes. Obviously, jewelry is pretty popular so she had a lot more competition. However, I did pretty well, I was surprised and happy by how much people liked them. I was able to sell some dolls and keychains. Most people seemed to agree that they would make good kids gifts, or babies gifts, which is why most people bought them. There were some adults who seemed to buy them for themselves....lol. :giggle:
If I can remember correctly, most of the ones I sold were the smaller sized ones, like the bear with the heart, the pink cat, the black bunny with the red ribbon, the overalls one too. Some keychains. :) It was good, I think I made just over 50 dollars, although I probably would have sold more if there were more people.
I was super sick that day, I was getting over a bad fever I had the day before so when I left early apparently there was this cute little girl who was in love with the pink deer, she kept touching it and staying at our table. Her mom wouldn't buy it but my mom gave her a moshi moro look-alike keychain for free instead. :D
I think this weekend, there's another fair, this time in our town, so my mom got me another table there. We're selling the keychains for 5 $, although we might bring it down to 4 $ this time. The large dolls are 15 $, the medium are 8$ and the small ones at 5 $.

Anywho, I need to sell them or at least get rid of them soon because I'm graduating soon and leaving for Taiwan for a gap year, woooooooooooooooo!!!! :dance: I'm going to spend a year just learning chinese, so it's going to be awesome. I'm so excited. :clap:

I've just been drowning in stress and insanity from school. Only now did I check on my deviant art page and look through all my messages and over 500 deviations. ^^;

I haven't been posting any drawings because...well, I just don't draw anymore. It's not that I've given up, I think I'm just not interested anymore. I mean I guess it was just a phase, I haven't felt inspired, I don't even doodle in class anymore, now it's just scribbling and drawing triangles. (my favorite shape) :paranoid:

But...I have found a new hobby!!! :w00t:

I was in Barnes & Nobles, when my mom showed my this book called "Stray Sock Sewing, Making One-of-a-Kind Creatures made from Socks" by Daniel. They were so darn cute. I was so fascinated and excited that I bought the book.
I've never been a crafts person, but I decided to give it a go hoping that I wouldn't give up after 5 minutes.
It was so fun! Everyday I kept making more, and I got better and better.
I absolutely love making sock dolls, it's fun and it helps me relax in these times of stress. :aww:
So that's all I'm going to be posting from now on, my little sock dolls. Some are the designs of Daniel while some are my own. :love:

Well artistically I haven't been drawing anything, BUT!!! I have finished my dragon, muahahahhahahahhha!!! :evillaugh:

I haven't mentioned here, but for my IB art we're supposed to have done 12 projects in 2 years, so far I've only done 1 this year! But it's probably the hardest one I'll ever come up with......:dohtwo:

Ah yes, so my mom gave me the idea.....:D

So yeah, it used bendable wires to create the structure of a dragon that's about maybe just over a foot high, then I used thin wires and beaded each one to cover the entire dragon. My god it got boring after a while, plus I got several cuts and punctures from those darn wires....:shakefist:

So yeah, I started the darn thing in probably October, so now 21st of May I finally finished it.....:tears:

I'll post a picture of it here, to show you the grueling hassle I did to get the stupid thing done 'cause my art teacher wouldn't stop nagging to start a project....:P

Yeah, I don't think I'll be posting any new art soon, except for a certain someone's birthday......!!!!!! :dance:

Otherwise, most of my time using the computer during the summer would be writing my darn extended essay for my last year in school.....I can't believe we're supposed to have the 4000 word draft of it by the time we get back to school. :dead:

Anywho, I admire all of you who are constantly inspired to draw and post art, it makes me feel ever the more ashamed of my laziness. :worship:

Every single person on this earth has a right to their own beliefs, no matter what their beliefs are.

Even if not everyone agrees with each others way of life, it doesn't matter because they had a right to choose, therefore there is no need whatsoever to bash anothers beliefs.

One may not agree with you, but one should NEVER EVER insult or try to convince you that your beliefs are wrong. Because your beliefs are a right.

One can not assume that they know someone else's beliefs, they can not assume what that person's beliefs are about, and therefore can't draw conclusions about other people's beliefs.

One can NEVER claim that their belief is the truth of all beliefs, because once again, everyone has a right to their own belief.

So to all who think that they can claim another's beliefs are wrong, stop, because you are violating their rights.

On a more personal note:

I'm so tired of people bashing other people's beliefs, it tires me to see people claim their belief is the truth, I don't claim mine is the best or the truth, so don't claim that yours is the truth.
The reason we have all this conflict, is because we disagree with each other, so for pete's sake:

Firstly, I'm so tired I could pass, out, I'm so exhausted. The heat, the homesickness, everything is driving me crazy. :dead: Sweating like a pig in a barbecue. Yeehawwww.

This morning, woke up at 5 am to go see Master Chen Yen, founder of the Tzu Chi Charity Organization. :D Every morning, she has to go on television to broadcast her daily messages and etc. Honestly, it was as boring as heaven....:paranoid: She is one hell of a slow speaker. ^^; But at least we got to see her. She is like worshipped here, I swear, she's an compassion icon. :nod: Then she personally gave us these 'blessed' bracelets, and personally put them on us. But it was a very fast process, I only caught a glimpse of her face, even though she was like a few inches from me. T'was a very honoring but tiring experience. :clap:

Later this afternoon, gonna perform a show in the hospital, our class is actually doing a surprise, we initially planned this song, but we are actually going to do something so hilarious at the actual show. Man I love my class, they're adorable. :love:

Anyways, it's now been 3 weeks, one more god dam week to go. :nirvana: I'm incredibly homesick, it gets worse and worse.

Glad, a bunch of my buddies are having a great summer! :hug:

Firstly, I miss Boston like hell, I never imagined I could be so homesick...^^;

Anyways, half way through the summer program....thank god...:dead:

On both Sundays I went dolphin watching where I saw spinner dolphins, super cool, there were even babies....and you could hear them in the water too. :excited:

The next Sunday, even better....I got to swim with one in Ocean Park....:giggle: So cute, I posted a pic in my scraps, they're so cool, a lot bigger than the spinner ones...:nod:

Haven't done any new drawings yet, besides my portrait of Nightmare...teehee....:clap:

Just had a test today, went well....lolz...:lmao:

So far, I'll only be able to post pics of my drawings, not the actual scan so the quality probably won't be that good, and you can't really see close up on the details...but I'll try and post them up anyways. :D

Well I've finally arrived at the summer camp in Taiwan...this is my 3rd day here, I just learned I can use the internet in the library...:clap:

It's as hot as hell....:dead:...basically sweating non-stop...my sis and I are in the same dorm along with two other girls...its' quite spacious actually. :)

The university is huge...and the dorms are in this other building....so far....:dohtwo:...we have to walk a lot to get to places....

So bascially we have 3 hours of chinese lessons starting from 9:10 am in which there are two breaks, after that we have lunch for a little over an hour, then we have one more hour of class after that. :nod:

Then we have some different activity for 2 hours, the past two days have been basketball, then dinner, then maybe activity or study time....:D

It's pretty cool, it'll just be tons more fun if it wasn't so hot...:nirvana:

Can't upload any art yet obviously...but I've been doing a couple of drawings here in school, in my new fancy schmancy dragon sketchbook. :dance:

Still 4 more weeks to go before I can finally get back to Boston...I miss my house and my bebe....:(

My sis and I are technically the only foreign looking students here, everyone looks asian...as always....

Well, that's how it's been going so far...hope to do some more drawings soon.

I'm spending my summer holiday in Taiwan, I haven't been there for two years so it's good to be back, seeing my family, eating good food, and getting attacked by mosquitoes.....:strong:

I've done a few new drawings here and there, but I haven't gotten to scan them yet....Plus I can't do it now since I don't have them with me in Taiwan...:dead:
But I might do a few here....although I don't think there'll be any new work within the next 8 weeks....:eatshit:

Actually, from mid-July to mid-August, I'm gonna go to this chinese camp where I'm basically gonna stay in a dorm and learn chinese for 3 weeks and a half....it's so awesome.....!!!!!!! :excited: I've been waiting to improve my chinese after two years of sleeping and daydreaming in chinese class....:paranoid:

I still have a ton of stuff I need to post like photos from Scotland, a drawing of a Volvo...heheheh.....:confused:

Which reminds me I also went to Rome on a school trip so I'll probably post those photos too, if anyone is interested....:D

I'm thinking of getting my hair cut short while I'm here....:boogie:...I love short hair it's so easy...:giggle:

Oh yeah, I've been trying to get into multiple contests but for most of them I couldn't meet the deadline and some require that I have to be older than 18....:nirvana:
Although I might try one that's going on here in Taiwan....it's for this big mall, it wants us to design any type of character that will be made into a toy, it will become kinda like a character that will be used as a design for clothes, small merchandise and stuff....:)
Plus there's a cash prize for 50,000 NT, which is roughly 1000 US dollars......muahahaahah

My main art project that I'm working on right now, is my character design of my fawn (it's in the gallery), I'm trying to draw him perfectly, and I still can't find a darn name for him! :dead: Although for some reason I want it to start with an 'E'...don't know why.
So maybe soon I'll be posting different versions of him to compare, 'cause I wanna get him just right. :aww:
I even drew like a chibi form of him, lol. :lmao:

Anywho, great news for me!!! I just found out that I got second place in an art contest! Woohoo! :excited: It was a contest in which we had to design a character for this book that the girl was going to write, so second place means that my character will be used often. I'm so happy!!:w00t:

More good news, I'm actually going somewhere for the Christmas holidays, going to one of my home countries, good ol' Scotland *bagpipes playing*. :nod:

Speaking of Christmas:xmas:, what's the jolly holiday without presents? So therefore, I would love to draw requests as Christmas presents for ya'll :santa:, and I hope you guys can tell me as early as possible, so I can actually ink and colour it.

Anywho, I've finally managed to scan everything that I wanted to. Plus I also updated my scraps, basically just pictures of my cats. :D

Well, hope you like the character, hopefully it inspires you and gives you some ideas.

The weirdest thing happened in the mall today, as we were walking this black guy (I'm not being racist just specific) ran past us with a bag, and there was this asian women shouting "Stop him!". The guard was kind of young, and didn't seem to know what was going on, he looked kind of dumb....So yeah the guy ran out of the store with the stolen stuff. :paranoid: Yeah, it was bizarre.

I have decided to write a fantasy one, with a bit of sadness. I haven't actually written anything down, I just have an idea, I was wondering what you dudes would think of it, so here it is: :clap:

Okay so, there will be these two best friends, since they were young, and like they know everything about each other, like one of them would always wink and smile to cheer the other one up, oh yeah and she really likes cats.
But one day she falls ill, and eventually dies. So the other is extremely sad, and she walks the same path to school everyday that she used to do with her friend, but this time she's alone and never smiles.
So it's been about a year since she passed away, and this whole time, when she walked to school, there was always this same cat lying on the wall, watching her go by.
One day, just by chance she looked at the cat while she was still walking, with her usual sad and emotionless face, as she was then all of a sudden, the cat winks at her and almost seems to be smiling at her. So then she stops, turns around to look once more, but the cat wasn't there (well actually I'm not sure if I should let the cat disappear or just continue to watch her go), so she turns her head back to where she was heading. Then smiles.

Plus I was thinking of calling it, "The cats smile"

I bought some inking quil pens, so I'm going to try and ink all of my drawings (in the gallery) plus colour them...so hopefully it turns out okay. :deviation:

I almost missed the open house for my school, :phew: since school starts on a Tuesday we automatically thought it would be on Monday, but it was on Friday. Lol.
Plus I just found out we have 9 new kids in my class which is totally cool, 'cause we only had 12, and 3 left, so now there's going to be 18, yay!:strip:

'Madame Bovary' and 'Le Rouge et le Noir' (the red and the black), plus 'Lord of the Flies' which was slightly better than the two other pieces of :shithappens:

I'm currently reading 'The Edge Chronicles' which are really good, I'm currently on the 5th one, I highly suggest it, if you enjoy fantasy books. :clap: I also bought 'Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo' as well as 'Endymion Spring' today, so looking forward to reading those...:boogie:

I just drew a little something, which I shall post soon, I might actually try and colour it this time...:psychotic:
