I couldn't resist trying this. One of the main reasons I want a sub is for journal shenanigans but i have no time to draw a header or whatnot. SHINY.

I've been in AP art this year so it's been a bit chaotic on the art front. I have a strange mixture of art block/style transformation. It happens to me often enough but it's such a BITCH when you have four pieces due by christmas and OCTs and contests to enter. *gnaws fingers*

Didn't make it into DD obviously. B'AW. My own fault and I totally could've gotten in if I wasn't lazy but thankfully a new OCT popped up that caught my interest and may be better for me as far as time commitment and style.

Tomorrow will be my second time going into the city in a week. This saturday I made it to Pratt for national portfolio day. I got...ok reviews? I only got to see RISD and Carnagie Mellon and my time at SVA got cut off (FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUCK) If anyone goes to SVA PLEASE TALK TO ME. It's pretty much my dream school right now but I got a shitty rep who wouldn't review my whole portfolio, didn't give me any feedback, and just overall pissed me off as a person. >:CCCC
But basically my portfolio sucks and it was very intimidating seeing 3,000 kids better than me toting around masterpieces and getting accepted to big name schools and standing on line for 6 hours in order to get cut off just when I get to SVA. I GOT MY OWN METRO CARD

"Several of you may know... or may have guessed from looking through my gallery or my favorites, but I suffer from self-injury. I say it like that, not because I have wounds on my body or anything current, but because I feel like it's something you fight. Something that doesn't ever really leave you completely.

I've talked to a few people who's quit smoking after years of doing it. They all say the same thing - if they smell it or really really think about it, they still crave it. And I think the same goes for people who have self injured. If you're having a hard time and those situations that brought about self injury in the first place return. The cravings come with them.

So I'd like to a contest.

A contest for people who currently SI.

It would go on the honor system. In trade for some time of not SI, I'll do a ATC. One to keep with you. In your pocket, or maybe where you keep your blades, or whatever it is you use. Something that will remind you you're not alone. That you're loved. And that you have other options.

I have no idea how long this should go. It's been a good while since I really stopped, so I can't recall just how hard the struggle is in the beginning. Is a month without it a good amount of time? Then I can make the cards during that month. And who ever goes a month gets one. It won't be a contest of who can go the longest, more of a contest with yourself.

Of course, to receive your "prize" you'd have to be comfortable with giving me your address so that I could send it. But I swear all addresses will be burned after the mailing.

Also- if your uncomfortable with others knowing you SI, you can note me to join.

But I want to know everyone that's "doing it" from the beginning of the month.

Then - I can run it again, maybe with a month in between.

If anyone would like to donate their time to help me make "inspirational" ATCs. I'd more than welcome the help. (I have no idea how big this may or may not get, but I'd be super sad if I couldn't meet the demands.)

[link] ÂMy skull method is simply that you CANNOT draw a face or head or expression without an understanding of the structure underneath it. Either take this anatomical study, or go to google and find pictures of skulls in these positions and draw them. Spend AT LEAST AN HOUR on each. (bwahahahaaa)

Pointless journal ahoy! D: Just what happened to me today, 'cuz I want to update, but I have nothing else to say. Except rant about the news talking about wild mushrooms....

LOL. so, true story time.

So, I like sitting in the graveyard. Simply because the place is gorgeous and very
quiet. It's a place of peace and I like to share in that.

Today, I woke up at 2ish and went on the internet. This made me feel like crap
because I woke up so late and then stressed my brain by going on too early, along
with dealing with Jon and Viki crap. So after getting all emo over my to do list and
summer vacation ending in two weeks I went downstairs and outside. I saw my brother's bow and arrow and was like "LOL

" and I shot it and the arrow went over the fence.
"Fuck." It landed fucking square in the middle of the street behind my house. Since
I can't hop the type of fence we have I got dressed and got my shit together and
went to get it. So, I got it back over the fence and decided to go bullshit around
town. I went and got two-for-one 23oz arizona iced teas and mango altoids and went
and sat in the graveyard drawing and reading for an hour or so.
I.....forgot that they lock the gates at sundown.
HAHA, so I had to go around checking all the gates like "SHIIIT" 'till I found a
section of the fence that wasn't barbed and I wouldn't be spotted and have my ass
called by the police for being a teenager trespassing at night (LOL BITCH YOU LOCKED
ME IN HERE FUCKTARD). I had to throw my bike over the fence (yeah, had my bike with
me too, that was the problem XD) and then jump it. I wound up screwing my bike over
so I had to straighten the wheel and the handlebars.
Le sigh. Then I'm biking home and I see this little dog. A Jack Russel, must have
been only a year old with no collar. Beautiful little thing, but her hair was
ruffled in the way that means she had been wearing a collar all her life, so she
wasn't a stray. I call to her, she looks at me and starts walking away down the
street, sniffing everything. I'm like wtf? I follow her, trying to get her and she's
ignoring me like she's deaf and blind. This is not normal terrier behavior. I keep
following her 'til she's on this lady's lawn and her dog starts flippin' a shit at

Also, I just watched the third episode of the anime. The climax of the first novel was finally in it, but at the end. Good job with it, but, yes, I was disappointed. So, quicky update on my life 'cuz I don't want to kill you guys with useless details.

-only 3 weeks left of school until summer vacation. HAYYAYAAAYEEE mmm, yup.

-that means finals though, which I'm totally fuck for because:

-my grades suck ass crack, like seriously a 1.3 GPA and legit failing one class becaaaauuuse

-I've been sleeping in class and not doing any homework for the past 4 months or so. It's been no kidding, physically impossible to stay awake in class and once my mom and teachers noticed they flipped a shit and smacked the panic button. They thought something was wrong with me. LoL. So they took me to get blood tests (I almost passed out again, HAHA I'm so anemic =w= ) and the results came back:

-I had had a history of mono, fifth's disease and the plague(spontaneous bronchidus) along with a passing stomach flu and discovering I had seasonal depression and chronic migraines all in the past month, and NOBODY KNEW ABOUT IT. Way to fucking go immune system, I knew I could count on you for totally fucking me over. So I was sick as a dog without knowing it and going to school full time and sailing 7 or so weeks of non-stop sailing like nothing was wrong. That sucks so hard. I had mono, that usually knocks the shit out of you for weeks, but I didn't get out of ANY school. MY SPLEEN COULD HAVE BURST! THAT'S SRS BSNS.

I've gotten farther in the anime than the manga but damn, this series is nothing short of sexy. I mean, freakin gravity defying parrot demon dude. Hell yes.
It's more entertaining than death note. And it's not even a serious mystery-based story line (until later, don't take my word for anything |D ) But, augh, it's great. Read the manga and watch the anime. It's two entirely different experiences, and well worth the time. My synopsis (or lack there of) cannot do justice.

I want to do a christmas mini manga/ christmas rant staring my characters from RuRoDu but focusing on Leigh. She seems like one who would more share my scrouge-li-ness than my other characters. First off, where have I been these past.....months

Um, well school is still killing me and there's been a lot of shit going on in my life and with my friends. And I mean some seriously
FUCKED.
UP.
SHIT.
It's been taking it's toll on my emotions but not to worry, everyone's been handling it a lot better than I think some people should have. We're all peachy-keen, even if we're lying to ourselves >: D.

So, other than that I've been pretty upbeat until Saturday. Fricking A. My dear old compy, Franklin (yes I name my babies, stfu), kicked the bucket. Like, literally said "goodbye cruel world", stabbed itself in the logicboard, and jumped off a cliff and landed in an ivy bush. ...ok, maybe not, but it's dead all right.

The problem was that it wouldn't start up. The hard drive would start and make the usual noises but there would be no visual. The one time it turned on I went about my business until BAM psycodelic colorful vertical lines of death start eating my LCD. What gives?!

The mac guy said I could get it fixed for $200-400 but it was decided that we shouldn't just keep paying for a limping machine and just pay for a brand new machine that has everything I need. So we did. And, although I now have to work slave labor to pay it off, I got a rediculously shiny new MACBOOK! WOO! *confetti* I call it: Franklin II!!!

So now I shouldn't be so dead since this thing is just oozing with high-speed drawing and havoc wreaking capabilities ad nauseum. Besides the fact that it came with a new printer! So maybe I'll stop bitching about how CRAPPY my printer is

well it's only the first episode so...

Light-
Takes a bit to get used to the change but, as far as english voice actors go, he sounds really natural

there isn't a sense of the initial "OMFG" when he first finds the death note like in the japanese but he screams like an actual person would scream : ) this is one of the worst things when they translate.

Survived with some casualties.

UUUUUUGGGHH....

I must say firstly, this week has been...awkward. I went from being called Manda, to Ninja Turtle Comrade, to Jesus, to Micheal Jackson, to Wicked Witch of the West.... yup.

Bad:
The workload is definately going to kill me. I've already written five essays for this week and it's getting bad with getting homework done and waking up at 5:30. I have no free period untill next quarter, I'm in two honors classes, an upper level art class, and I'm on varsity sail team. *deep breath* I have a BullS- ragatta tomorrow, too. They replaced the Spanish teacher and I was absolutely crushed, I hate the new woman, and for no good reason apparently. She's too nice...like she belongs teaching Kindergarteners instead of high-school students. I have to get my ass over it already, but I hold a grudge. Besides the fact that my schedule has me never in the same building for two periods in a row except once. walking walking walking....

Good:
My english teacher rocks. And she's making us do a lot of writting, which is very good for me since, I make up stories all the time but I don't have the confidence in my own skills to get it down on paper. Same with art. We did a realistic self portrait, right off the bat,(which I didn't get to finish *kicks self*) and I had been thinking recently how I've had problems with shadeing faces. All I had to do to fix that was fucking sit down and stare at myself for half an hour. I'm so dumb XD Some of the new students are pretty cool and I've already made friends, even though I haven't been able to talk to my old friends hardly at all. :<

So, Just today:
-Devon cut my finger with a scalpel in Bio XD was an accident and didn't really hurt but it bled a lot. We were cutting potatoes so we made VAMPIRE FRENCH FRIES! yes.
-Had disturbing sayings chucked at my ear XD (teachers PDA *shudders*)
-Kicked ass in class challenges XD not really... but it was fun.
-Got to see my friends who left the school (LURVE JOO!)
-Made the ever glorious Dr. Sobe's Bawls again, but had to enjoy it myself because Emma and Jon were being jackasses.

(2) I can't mow the lawn .__. my family always makes fun of me when I do it 'cuz it looks like I mowed the lawn with a goat.
(3) My dog sleeps in my room on my bed, and falls asleep before me. I'll be up and on the computer, but she snores like crazy. I hate it so much that I shake her awake. I'm mean, but I can't stand it XD
(4) If I'm writing, whether it's for school or the story I'm working on, I'll get up and pace when I think. Sometimes I'll just roam aimlessly around my house for hours just thinking up chunks of the story at a time.
(5) I stare into space, all the time, and I always happen to think of something funny to use in a comic or story and end up smileing or laughing out loud like a crazy person. My family thinks I'm nuts 'cuz of this XD.
(6) Whenever I'm reading, I twirl my bangs, then tie them in a knot, then tug at them, then untie the knot and repeat. It's just a habit. Or I'll fuss with my earings if I'm wearing them. And if I get bored with reading or get distracted with a story idea, I'll pick at my nails, My mom can't stand it

(7) I can't listen to music with earbuds in public places. I'm always afraid I'll get hit by a car because I wouldn't hear it coming. XD
(8) Whenever I buy a new videogame, I'll always set it aside and not play it for months, then find a time where I'm completely addicted to it for two weeks or so, then leave it alone again. It's so sad, I have so many games I've hardly ever played.

(9) Whenever I have a nightmare, or dream for that matter, if it's a situation where I'm in danger or scared or, actually any time in any dream, and I need to fight to protect myself or someone else, I can't throw a punch. I start to and then my arm grows numb and weak, it feels like only my arm's been put in slo-mo and it's hard to move it. I always end up tapping whatever it is with my fist. Maybe this signifys some inner weakness

The screen is completely cracked and I'm afraid I might lose all my documents or not be able to access them. So I'm going to copy what I can onto my flash drive and try and find all my software discs.

This isn't the only computer I have access to so I can reply to comments when I get the chance but I dont have photoshop on any other computer.

I already have $136 to go to a new one, but I'm going to have to blow my saveings...

Expect some stuff. My main concern is speeding out the rotting projects on my hard-drive. There are drawings on there that where started...ehm, 8+ months ago? It's sad.

As far as the 100 OC challenge, I've created....wait, lemme think...

Some only have names and faces, some only have backstories, and almost none of them have outfits...*sigh*
I'm getting to it....

So, here's the deal. Apple laptop chargers; Worst. Design. Ever.
A long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away *shot*) I had my charger charging the laptop and it got bent. They're just like headphone jacks with a thin metal ring around them to -cough- keep them in place. Haveing that bent out of shape meant trying to jam it into the computer every time you needed to charge it. Not fun. Eventually, it exploded and a piece of it got stuck in my computer. So I had to buy a new $80 charger and pay $140 worth of labor to get to and replace an $8 part.
*falls over dead*
And that is why I haven't been here and have collected an outrageous amount of messages. Yup. I'll get around to that.

Other than that, I took ~dustmuffin to see Meet the Robinsons. Great movie.

Mini game-review:
I'm ony 2-3 hours into it...so don't take my word as law...

Personal overall view=

so far...

Voice acting= the voices are VERY unexpected at first (to me, at least) but you get used to them and the voices fit the characters. I do love Simon's voice though, happy accent *huggles Simon*

Art= Again unexpected. At the beginning when Jaster takes a drink the water animation kinda makes me cringe. But the sand-worm sequence is pretty friken sweet. Very pretty worlds. *only seen 2 and...(insert small fraction)* but it's set on a lineart and cell-shadeing basis, which I've only seen in one other 3D game > Naruto:Ultimate Ninja (also a pretty cool game)

this'll tie in with

Gameplay: I find the game to be a bit slow in comparison to other games. Story-wise. It's a play-at-your-own-leisure type game. More like 'Come explore this fanceh 3D world I cree-ate-ed'
Battles are friken awesome

and you can access your main menu in battle and it pauses when you access the quick menu so you can hand out healing shit without worrying about being attacked which is ideal for a spaz like me

I do meet demise more often though...there is the dreaded 'GAME OVER' screen and it takes you tothe beginning again so save! save often. But it's not a Final Fantasy/Pokemon type pick and choose attacks game, it's a full-fledged mash the X button into oblivion just to survive by slashing the hell outa stuff...type game. But there is an energy limit 'action gauge'
There's a lot of learning that you need to do but it comes easily enough...

Protagonist= Jaster is pretty much a mouthing-off pissy little lying punk...but we still love him ^^
Your party is a three man team in battle, and you can't switch off with the other 7 party members, to my knowledge.

Guess that's not so 'mini'...ok, summary=It's fun.

So, I have a terrible cold, it feels like my throats been ripped out. And I can't stay home from school because there is no one to watch me and be there in case of an emergency and all that jazz. But my mom is also sick so I have to care for her while my brother sits on his lazy arse not doing his homework.

I've lost my mom's trust and my teachers hate me. I'll lose all the friends I've ever had if I don't do my homework, which means less drawing than usual which means none at all. Cue: Depression!

I should be fine if I get a Sunday of veging, drawing and Jonas Brothers. *sigh* I have to go to school on Saturday too for nine hours and dance/sing with a cold. Lucky me gets to wake up at six on Saturday! Wheeee~!

And Satan peeled off the healthful skin and sliced the starchy center into chips and deep-fried them.

God then gave lean beef so that Man might consume fewer calories and still satisfy his appetite.

The Physics of Santa and His Reindeer

No known species of reindeer can fly. BUT there are 300,000 species of living organisms yet to be classified, and while most of these are insects and germs, this does not COMPLETELY rule out flying reindeer which only Santa has ever seen.

There are two billion children (persons under 18) in the world. BUT since Santa doesn't appear to handle the Muslim, Hindu, Jewish and Buddhist children, that reduces the workload to 15% of the total 378 million according to Population Reference Bureau. At an average (census) rate of 3.5 children per household, that's 91.8 million homes. One presumes there's at least one good child in each.

Santa has 31 hours of Christmas to work with, thanks to the different time zones and the rotation of the earth, assuming he travels east to west (which seems logical). This works out to 822.6 visits per second.

This means that Santa's sleigh is moving at 650 miles per second, 3,000 times the speed of sound.
