Soo. Where to start. Um. In August, Cherry completed her Prince's Trust course! Yay~! ^0^ We had to do a big presentation at the end. So.. we all had to stand up in front of loads and loads of people (Including family members) and talk. ;_; Cherry was uber-nervous~

But Cherry got to meet Stephen Hughes! :3 ... *tumbleweed* Stephen Hughes = Leicester City player. >>; And Cherry met Martin Johnson, toos~ Got an autograph and a photo taken with him and everything~ x3 *Squee*

Cherry really misses all her friends from the course, though. They were awesome. u.u...

Cherry was offered a place in an Art & Design course at Leicester College back in July, and she started college on the 12th of this month. :3 Cherry was really nervous about it, but it's been really good so far~

The main downside to it is that the whole place is a little disorganized right now; rooms are being rebuilt and swapped around and re-named, resulting in Cherry's college map being a little... inaccurate. 8D; So nothing's where it actually should be, but Cherry's managing. xD And Cherry's tutors are all really nice. :3

So yesh, college = good. The place is nice, the people are nice, the work is fun, and Cherry's learnt a lot already~

Before we started college, each student had to complete a 'Summer assignment'~ This involved making two pieces of artwork based on something about myself and my life, and one written piece based on "How I see myself, and how I would like to be seen." o.o; Cherry thinks it turned out okay-ish~ >>;

Cherry apologizes for not uploading for aaaages~ x.x; Cherry's art is kind of all over the place right now; you know those stages where you decide to learn to draw new kinds of things and learn new techniques? :3 So Cherry's kind of doing a lot of sketches and experiments right now, rather than lots of proper pieces. Cherry can still upload the experiments into her Scrapbook if wanted, though~

Cherry hopes that you're all doing well~! :3 Cherry's comp doesn't really get along with this new DA layout, so if there's anything important that you tried to notify me of and I didn't see it, then I apologize!

Papa's been prodding Cherry to update this for a while now, so here she is. 8D

Many big cherry-topped apologies for not updating since.. *checks* May 15th. O__O; Cherry's been very busy attending the Prince's Trust programme that she mentioned in her May 4th entry, and Cherry must say, the programe is bu-luh-dee brilliant. :3

Cherry's done so much over the past 6 weeks, she shall break it down into little bite-size pieces.

~Week 1~

The first week was mostly full of little activities and problem-solving games to get everyone to know eachother, learn eachother's names and backgrounds, etc. One of Cherry's favourites was building towers out of marshmellows and dry spaghetti. :3 Cherry learned most everyone's names, took loads of photos, met oodles of cool people and did lots of weird and fun activities. xD

~Week 2~

The bit that pretty much everyone on the course looks forward to the most, the residential week in Staffordshire. We were taken by minibus to Beaudesert camp in Cannock woods, and had to eat sleep, work and basically live together for four days. It should've been five days, but Monday was a holiday, so one day less. ;.;

We did abseiling, had an archery competition (Which Cherry sucked at xD), played sports like rounders and touch/tag rugby, went down a zip-line (FANTASTICNESS. O-O), and spent an afternoon rock-climbing. Cherry got all the way to the top of two walls! :3

The meal planning and shopping went a lot smoother than we expected; we ended up buying tons more food than we needed, even though we were under the given budget. And the team members were even kind enough to arrange vegetarian meals for me and another member. =3

But the beds, lord, I've never slept on such a wafer-thin mattress in my life. I could feel it even through meh thickly-padded sleeping bag. D:

So yesh, a very busy and exhausting week, but loads of fun. It helped us get to know eachother and taught us how to get along a little better and work together. :3

~Weeks 3 and 4~

These two weeks were spent mostly raising money for our community project. We sold raffle tickets and held sponsored events like a walk around Bradgate park (Great fun :3) and a boys leg-waxing session, which was extremely amusing. xD

We also sent out letters to businesses asking for donations that we could use as raffle prizes. We got some great stuff, like teddies, football tickets and t-shirts, gift sets and a CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN. 8DD CHOCOLATE. FOUNTAIN. <3

~Weeks 5 and 6~

Weeks 5 and 6 were spent working on our community project, which was to clean, re-paint, tidy and generally revamp the garden and car park areas of a centre for deaf and hard of hearing people. :3 These weeks were very physical and a lot of hard work, but everyone got along well and the staff were all very generous, helpful and polite. ^__^

We cleaned and re-painted all the railings (Which hadn't been cleaned or painted for at least 24 years~ O_O), chopped away all the big overgrown trees, shrubbery, vines and weeds, cleared out all the rubbish and litter, leveled out the ground and covered it in bark to make it look much neater. ^0^ It looks so much better now~!

Everyone at the centre says we did a really good job. Cherry's team leader took oodles of photos from before and after the centre was revamped, so you can see the difference. Cherry shall see if she can upload some. :3

At the end of Week 6, the people at the centre held a barbecue to thank us for all our hard work. 8D They played music, let us play pool (Which Cherry was awful at~ Dx), got drinks, snacks, and even cooked veggie burgers and sausages~ x3 We all got certificates to show we'd done the project, too. :3

We also held the raffle, which was brilliant~ Cherry's aunt won a travel clock! 8D And one of Cherry's team members won the chocolate fountain~ Though she doesn't like chocolate, so she's planning to modify it and turn it into a booze fountain. xDD Bless~

~Week 7 (Current) ~

At the moment, we're preparing ourselves for our futures with things like practice interviews, advice for driving lessons, and practice at advertising a business. :3 It's quite challenging, and a lot of fun at the same time. We've dwindled a lot in numbers since we first started out (A maximum of only 6 or 7 people come in each day now. o.o), we all work hard and stick together to get things done. ^__^ Cherry shall keep attending everyday and work hard!

Cherry, her brother, Papa and Steph (Close friend of Papa's~ She's great. x3) all went swimming. 8D Cherry hasn't been to a pool since she was six or so~

Then Cherry discovered that she can't swim. >_>; One valiant attempt resulted in Cherry going under. xD Oopsie~?

Papa and Steph were pretty much the only ones that could actually swim~ Cherry and her brother just kind of flailed around a lot. xD; But Cherry has gotten better at opening her eyes underwater. Still feels so weird, though~ @_@

We all had a great time. :3 We're hoping to go again sometime this week~

Cherry's brother completed the whole course (He got an iPod and his photo in the newspaper for being the 1000th person from our town to do it)~ x3 He worked really hard and did really well. ^0^

Cherry wants to do the course so she can be more conifdent around people~ Since Cherry's always been homeschooled, she's not really had much experience with communicating or working with people~ @O@ So hopefully this will help Cherry socialize a little bit. x3;

During the second week, Cherry will be away from home~ ;.; We'll be staying at a camp in Staffordshire~ Lots of outdoor activities, too. Cherry's brother did things like rock-climbing, abseiling and a zip-line, but Cherry's been told that since it's Summer now, the activites will probably be different; possibly swimming-related. 8D Eee~

There'll be lots of activites and projects throughout the course; most of them are planned and decided by the team members. *wonders what we'll be doing* @o@~

Cherry met the lady that will be leading the Team for this course, and she's really really nice~ x3 *huggles her*

The course starts on May 22nd, so~ 2 weeks on Monday. x3 Cherry's really excited~! :33

It's been a while~! =o Okies, that's an understatement.. Um. I just want to say that I'm really, really sorry for being so lazy and inactive, and for missing so much... ;___;

So, how's everyone been? ^^ Cherry has been good~ Recovering from an evil, evil cold/almost-flu, though. x.x So for the past few days, Cherry's been curled up on some floor cushions in front of the TV with some DVD's and lots and lots of soup. xD Luckily Cherry caught it the day after her birthday. So if it'd been one day earlier, that would've been a very yucky birthday indeed. @_@ Cherry's 16 now~

Did Cherry mention that she has a pet sea-slug now? :3 It was in Emma and Phil's new house when they moved in, and they gave it to Cherry a couple of months ago. ^0^ *pokes the sea-slug* He's cuuute. And about as low-maintenance as they come; only needs feeding every six months. xD

Lots to do tomorrow. For various reasons, Papa's decided that we have to get rid of one of our birdies. u_u; There's a really good place not far from here that looks after birdies, lets them fly around, tames them and trains them, etc. We're all really sad to have to see him go, but it looks like a great place, so at least he'll be well-looked after. I'm going there with Papa tomorrow morning so I can say goodbye to Minty. ;-;

On a more positive note, me and Papa went to visit some relatives yesterday! :3 We went to see Papa's parents and sister, and his sister's daughter (my cousin). :3 It's been so long since I've seen any of them, months and months~! ;o; And my cousin is SO FRIGGIN' ADORABLE. ;_; I hadn't seen her since she was less than a year old, she's grown so much~ @o@

And she gave me flowers~! x3 She kept going around the garden picking bunches of these little pink flowers, and she gave a bunch to Cherry~ :3 *has them in a little vase on the windowsill*

It was so good to see my Aunt and Uncle, toos~ x3 They're all wonderful people, and it was really great to see everyone, I've missed them loads~ ;___; Hopefully we can go and visit again soon, I miss them all already~ u.u

And we went to see Vic and Maureen toos~ :3 I hadn't seen them since I was uber-uber-tiny, I could barely even remember them, so I was a little nervous, but they're both such great people~! ^___^ Vic has MSN toos, so hopefully we can keep in touch until we visit again~ ^__^ Papa hadn't seen them in years either, so they were really happy to see eachother again~ ^0^ Papa really had a great time, it was so good to see him smiling and laughing so much, since the past few days have been so tough. He's done really well, and so has my brother. *huggles them both* x3 !

Helloooo. =o Just thought I'd pop online and let everyone know what's going on, since I may not be able to update for a while. ^___^;

So. Mama and Cherry's sister *did* go off to Malta, as planned, but things kinda turned upside-down soon after. @_@ We expected them back after a week or so, at the most. They sent an e-mail saying that they'd send a letter telling us how things were going, and they said they'd be back by last Wednesday.

They didn't come back on Wednesday, and we didn't get any phonecalls or e-mails or anything, so Cherry and Papa start to worry. A lot. u_u; So we keep checking the airline webpages to see when the next flights are arriving, if any have been cancelled, etc.

Baaasically, after a lot of worrying and refreshing the webpages and inboxes every few minutes, we eventually got a letter on Friday. Saying that Mama's not planning on coming back at all. Ever. And I'm assuming my sister isn't, either. 8D; SO. Yeah. Much WTFage there. ~_~;

Papa's taken it pretty hard, obviously, but he's doing really well considering. My brother's been really great about it all. ^__^; I'm sure it hit him just as hard as the rest of us, but he's coping brilliantly. And he's still checking up on me and Papa, making sure we're both okay, giving us lots of hugs and comfort and everything. ;o;

So, that's the gist of it. :/ There's lots of other nasty little details that we've discovered in the past few days, and all of them have hurt us, a lot, such as the rather large amount of money that's disappeared from our Papa's bank account and the resulting financial trouble, but eh, I won't go into right now. ._.;

Many thanks and huggles to everyone for your concern, and sorry if I made anyone worry. Really sorry. ;_; And I'm also sorry for lagging so much in the art department recently. Mama and Cherry's sister are going to Malta for the weekend~! x3 They're going to go stay at a lurvely little apartment, the photos of which make Cherry squeal with glee. @o@!

'Tis only temporary, Mama and Cherry's sister shall be looking around for a nice place with long lets. :3 They've been working really hard recently to make sure that everything's all set for all of us to live in Malta. And even now, they won't be on holiday, they'll be running around house-hunting.. @-@; They deserve tons of chocolate and booze when they get back for all the hard work they've done! Yesh! x3

They'll be uber-tired when they get there though.. @__@ They'll be leaving this Saturday, then they have to do tons of running around catching trains, switching trains, etc... @_@ Cherry's not sure when their flight is, but Cherry does know that the plane doesn't land in Malta until at least 3:00 AM. O___@;; *shall have to supply them with caffiene stashes*

Just heard about what's happened at the London stations.. u_u Exactly two weeks after the first attacks, too..

There's only been one person reported injured so far, but the police are still investigating... *prays there haven't been any more injuries or casualties* ;_;

My heart goes out to the person injured in this attack, and any more that may have been involved, and of course to the 52 innocents that lost their lives in the attacks two weeks ago, and their friends and families. And I sincerely hope they catch whoever's responsible. u_u Everyone take care. Love you all.

u.u Good news and bad news. Papa's okay, he just lost track of time. x____x He tried to use his friend's phone to call, but it wouldn't work. x.x But he's safe. That's what matters. ;_; That was scary.. u.u *clings to Papa* ! @-@

Now. The bad news. I think our dog may have to be put down tomorrow. ;o; She's really not well. She's been getting worse and worse these past few days. Papa was going to drive her to the vets on Wednesday, but the car broke down. And the place was all booked up for the rest of the week. x_@

And since he's been drinking, he can't drive right now. And our poor dog can barely even walk right now, so going there on foot is out of the question toos. ;_;

Mama says that she may not even make it through the night.. The poor thing's in an awful lot of pain right now.. u_u When she went to the vets a week or two ago, they said they didn't know what was wrong with her, but they said it's probably just old age..

Not surprising, since she's pretty much the same age as me. ^0^; We've had her since I was 3, and she was already several years old then.. Nya.. She was so happy and lively back then. ;_;

I guess all we can do now is make sure that she's as comfortable as she can be until we can get her to an emergency room tomorrow. The poor girl doesn't deserve to suffer like this. ;_;

u__u;; Papa's not come home. He said he was going out to a pub with a friend who used to work at Papa's workplace. He said he wouldn't be home late. It's been six hours now and he's not even called or anything. ;_;

A six-hour "quick-drink-with-a-friend"? x.x;; I pray he just got stuck in a traffic jam or something and took longer than expected to get to the pub... Papa gets drunk pretty easily. Six hours of drinking = Not good. But not probable, even for him, so it must be something else.. x__x;

Mama says she'll phone the hospitals if he doesn't get back soon to make sure he's not had an accident or something. ;o;

WHAT THE.. ;___; This computer has just EATEN a gigantic chunk of my folder. Nearly all of my files are gone. ;__;!? No virus alerts or anything, they just.. Vanished. @_@

Pretty much the only things left are picture files, and there aren't even *half* of those left.. x.x Most of my folder was made up of mp3's, and, whee, almost all of those are now gone, too. .___.

It's odd. I've heard of lots of people who've had dreams of dying, but I can't remember ever actually dying in my dreams. ^0^;; I've gotten oodles of nasty injuries in them that really *should've* killed me, but meh.. @__@;; Dream-invincibility? x3;

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS GAME. ;____; And I thought it wouldn't live up to the hype. It doesn't just live up to it, it surpasses it. Like. Faaaar surpasses. Screw that, it practically SQUISHES all the hype and does a little happy dance on it. It's so.. So.. EEEEE. ;_; *starry-eyed* The following is an account of Cherry's first hour or so of RE4. 8D

Please skip if you haven't played the game and don't want any spoilers for the beginning of the game, or if you don't feel like reading an RE-fangirl's happy rambles, 'kay?

Rawr. Ok. I'll admit I was pretty much quivering in my seat just from the droolworthy graphics in the first cutscene. @_@ The leeaves, the treeees, everything. @o@ Beautiful. <3

Soo, trundled along the paths for a while, nearly waltzing straight into some wired dynamite traps while staring at all the pretty trees. Felt incredibly guilty after using a pair of crows as target practice. ;_; IT WAS MEH BROTHER'S IDEA, HONEST. ;____;

Grabbed the gold that the crows were carrying (@.@?), trundled along some more. Got extremely creeped out upon finding a woman pinned to a wall via an axe in the head. >_>;

First "zombie" encounter went nicely, one shot to the chest, no misses, no troubles. :3 Proceeded to run away from the resulting angry zombies, but stopped on the way to help a wolf out of a leg trap. >_>; Whaaaat? Don't tell me you wouldn't/didn't do the same~! >=O

EVENTUALLY scurried to the village, after being persuaded by my brother to drag my wimpy self out of the nice, safe little shack that I found a typewriter in. :3 BY THE WAY, lovely thing about this game - NO. INK. RIBBONS. Oh yesh. I shall probably have a grand total of 567 saves by the end of the game. xD <33

SO YESH. Stepped about two feet into the village, then found myself with about 8-9 zombies running towards me. @_@ Shot a couple down, weaved between the rest and ran towards the nearby tower.

(Brother - *gape* ... How the Hell did you DODGE all of them? O__O)
(Cherry - ^^'' Um..)

OF COURSE, the tower-thingie wasn't safe either. Nope. 8D Managed to stay up there, unscathed, for approximately 20 seconds. Then a big jet of fire shot up the hatch. ;-; Eventually found another shack, ran inside, barricaded the door, ran upstairs. Grabbed the shotgun and some shells, sat there feeling all safe until I heard a chainsaw ripping its way through the front door. >_>;

Decided to try and wait for him to come upstairs, where I was hoping to blow his head off with my new shotgun, until the others started coming in through the upstairs windows. ;_; Ran back downstairs, dodged past the chainsaw guy, prompting more gaping from my brother, ran into another little shack nearby where I hid, hoping to catch the chainsaw guy on his way in. Unfortunately, several other zombies ran in first, so while I was shooting away at them, Mr. Chainsaw dodged past everyone, running straight at me, resulting in my first death of RE4. @_@

But DEAR GOD it was wonderfully done. My Brother was right, the death scenes, instead of being uber-frustrating, are just.. Rawr.. @_@ I think I was actually cheering when I got decapitated, rather than swearing. xD;

So. Yesh. Pretty much repeated the process again, got killed in the same way one more time, before everyone finally ran off and left me in peace, instead of pieces. 8D Currently hiding in a little shack in a farm, which is disturbingly quiet. ;__;



Sooo. All in all, brilliant game, so far. 8D Sorry to bore you all with my ramblings. @_____@ <3 Any Resident Evil fans here~? :3
