As for the Con scene, Dragon Con isn't working out, we all decided we were too poor. AWA is probably still happening unless I get too busy.

Oh yeah, found that out this summer, explains alot. It's nice to know though. I don't have to test myself or anything, it's just a diet change. I'm supposed to eat every two hours, I'm not very good at that though. It's going to be pretty hard with my school schedule in the fall.

What else? I haven't taken many photos this summer, I've been really busy. I have some firework photos and some photos from the beach with Cody to upload but I figure if I don't get to it this summer then I'll have time when I move into Western. I'm officially living with Shawna in Reynolds. Everything is falling together so nicely.

And lastly... it's almost my birthday!!! 21!!! The only reason I'm really excited is because I can go to Cody's shows even when they're in bars. Also everyone seems to be excited for me. Koncepts is putting my birthday on the August calendar and I'm having a party at Cody's house.

I'm in the play at school: Love of the Nightingale. We start blocking tonight but I'm kind of worn out from the day. Not down, but I would rather be anywhere but there. Lees-McRae just holds no joy for me anymore. I want out.

Speaking of... I've applied for transfer to Western Carolina. I should find out soon. I want this so badly, I want to be at a school that will challenge me. And LMC is not that school. This is the first decision regarding my future that I've made just for myself and I couldn't be happier.

I thought I felt like writing but I've changed my mind. Hopefully I'll have work up soon.

Also my life is full of win, exams are all done except for a easy two page paper for Directing. I have 9 days until absolute bliss and I don't go back to classes until February. Katsucon in February, spring break in either NYC or Sarasota/Miami, Summer jobs and classes all lined up then I'll be in my senior year and that's one year before I get out of BE and closer to someone really special to me.

Because I have a good chunk of time I'm going to paint, take pictures, edit pictures, and create alot of happiness with this amazing feeling I'm experiencing.

I need to get more work up here, I've done some new headshots, Godspell photos, and of course my wedding shots from my first wedding gig. I'm going into the city tomorrow so I hope to get alot of shots from that. I love Washington DC so I'm really excited.

In the future I think I'd like to tackle a costume from Soul Calibur 4, I really like this one that Sophitia appears in so far in just a battle with Cassandra in story mode. It's really awesome but hard to find.

Basically I'm completely happy and that should turn out some amazing work from me soon but now I'm going ice skating!

The pictures turned out really great and spending time with Jessika and Tonya as princesses was priceless! Tonya really enjoyed her first convention, and is already talking about going to Animazement!

I don't think I'll be going to anything until "What The Hell" con in Greensboro because it's free and that's time to spend with BT and friends from there. We're planning on getting a big group together and totally pwning because it's a small con.

Before then is Halloween and despite this ridiculous girl's plan to do the same costume I don't care, I'm going ahead as planned and doing Poison Ivy because that's all she has going for her: sewing (and minute man... did I say that? Opps!). I have amazing friends, college is going so well, and my future is looking really bright. I'm helping Tonya make a rainbow bright costume or mad hatter costume for halloween and I'll probably help Caitie and Mimi too with whatever. I just have to get through all of this mess in the meantime.

The happiness of AWA was kinda diminished with news about my grandfather in Michigan. I'm just hoping things won't get worse when we hear back the results on my grandmother on Friday. It's really hard to deal with on top of everything else. If I didn't have the friends I have I wouldn't get out of bed in the morning let alone smile. Caitie, Tonya, Mimi, Jake, Adrienne and of course Jessika have been absolutely the most amazing blessing in my life.

I have alot on my plate and I know I can deal as long as I have my friends, then it's back to smooth sailing and creating! I'll do a more formal con report later.

On the creative aspect of life I now have plenty of room for creation! I also have a shoot planned with Caitie, and another with Shawna. Headshots with Tonya plus other events I'm scheduled to photograph. I'm now the Performing Arts photographer and it's great! It seems like I'm asked to shoot something new every day and I'm so excited that I get to work with others and develop my strengths. This is also great to help build my portfolio further since I plan to apply to SCAD for their photography Graduate program.

AWA is coming up sooner than I'd like it but I'm getting things together so I can just settle down and sew. My costume is easy it's just the matter of finding time to sit down and cut it out and sew it together! It's not like I haven't done anything at the last minute before however. And really I'm going to AWA so I can do more convention photography. I'm not into the cosplay scene strictly anymore.

As you might have noticed in my gallery I'm doing more writing. I'm in an amazing playwriting class that I absolutely adore and it's really given me the chance to explore creatively. "Exercise 2" will be performed readers theatre style at Coffee House one night during team. I'm really excited about feeling confident enough to share my work with the entire performing arts department. That piece really isn't typical to my writing style and that's why it's so exciting to become more versitile.

So basically now that my world is back on track expect some new things from me!

I've been too busy with work, with friends, and everything else.

So this weekend peer leaders come back, I get to see Stephen! YAY! Then... the next weekend everyone else returns to campus including someone that makes me smile.

HELL YEAH!

The fourth of July job has already led to a possible photog job for Sugar Pointe and of course I already have the Habitat for Humanity Tea With Me job.

One class last semester and I'm finding my self heading down a serious road with this!

I'm tired though, I've been working 5 jobs and I really cannot wait to sleep, read, and do nothing for the next two weeks when I'm on vacation.

When I get back my dad will be here for my birthday which is a dream come true since my step dad and my mom are not really in the picture right now. I'm just worried my birthday will suck again for the 4th year in a row.

After brithday week it's back into routine with the exception of a birthday party I'm trowing myself :-P. I figure I deserve it based on my summer of dissapointments.

Then shortly after it's all over- horrible summer is gone and it's on to my Junior year of College and quite possibly some romance if not just some amazing adventures!

I'm super bored at work and I thought I'd share.

I can't wait for Chautauqua, especially since Lorna found a way to come early so we can see each other. Everything is falling into place so nicely. I love those girls, they're the truest friends (other than Jessika) I think I've ever had. We're already making plans to have them visit here next summer before CHQ... should be crazy to have someone other than Lorna from there see how I live.

Next summer I'll be staying on campus, I'm not doing this living at home thing again, it's painful.

But yeah... life is pretty damn sweet, still can't wait for August 18 but now I'm feeling better about Summer. But fast forwarding to next month would be nice.

But yeah update time.

This week is crazy in preparation for the 4th of July and just general work stuff. I have an interview with a local mixed media artist named Carol Shaffer on Friday, I've seen some of her work and it's amazing so I'm really excited. This article is for press releases for the Chamber as well as a possible submission to Avery Journal to see if I can obtain myself a correspondence writer position. Yes, I have not even taken Journalism yet and I've been published in at least three different publications.

Speaking of, be on the look out you local people for the new Carolina Mountain Life coming out soon, I have two articles and photos in it. Woot woot.

Also the Eagle's Nest newsletter has been written almost in it's entirety by me with photos by me. Awesome no?

Why? Well I ate ice cream. I also talked to Toneja in the Bahamas land. AND! I took pretty pictures of Laura next to a barn and by the kick ass truck I discovered.

It's a set based on contradictions. Why is this? Well Laura is a british girl in the north carolina mountains with crayon red hair in a short nude colored dress and heels juxtaposition next to a barn and a vintage truck.

Yes. I am not a genious, but it looks pretty damn cool.

And I loved this truck so much I made Laura take a picture of me standing in it.

Pending on how exhausted I am from waking up at 6:30 am tomorrow I may be running to Boone in the evening with Laura to get them developed.

Also on the camera over my three rolls of film are fire shots (experimenting with zoom and flash oh dears), hanging out shots from the shoot that didn't happen on friday, and of course laura.

Tomorrow I'm working at a Wrangler's shoot. This is the time were I'm kicking myself for not having my portfolio together so I could get pointers from the photog.

I'm telling myself this is a good experience anyway.

On a personal note... I'm pretty damn happy with the way things are progressing with a nice guitar playing, song writing, break dancing boy. Not a drummer still but he's pretty damn cool anyway and he seems to think I'm made of awesome so it's a win win situation. We'll see how this plays out.

Unitl then I'm working at the Chamber again, sinking back into it is not proving difficult at all. Kinda sad one of my talents inclue working at a chamber of commerce. Is it 4 yet? I need to get back to watching Sex and the City and thinking about all the great things I'll do once I get the energy to clean my room.

Sunday and Monday I'm crashing the Wrangler's shoot at Eagle's Nest. Getting pointers from photographers, seeing a professional shoot in action, and possibly networking? Yes please.

I also got the job of 4th of July photographer at the Eagle's Nest celebration. I need someone to help me get release forms and emails. Any takers? It's a great oppourtunity but I need to beg the school to borrow one of the Cannon Rebels because my manual would be a nightmare. We'll see how that goes. I can't wait to have my Digital Nikon SLR.

I'm back from Atlantic City but I'm exhausted. I took some photos but something happened with my vintage camera and there was light marks let through on my favorite shots. Blegh. But it's all right my dad got some good shots and I got some funny things on my camera. I did take some shots of the flowers in the garden to finish the roll off and that I've submitted.

Um yeah... I had more to say and I've just decided to work on that later. I'm scanning two shots taken of Jessika earlier this summer tomorrow and I'm thinking of playing with Vectors again.

I did some design doodles at work today of clothing and just general patterns, we'll see what that turns into.

No drama for the first con ever (well other than wanting to kill two people for being part of the reason one of my lovely friends was not there >.>

This year we tried something new: eating. I think it went over very well. I didn't feel like dying all weekend!

I'll go into detail later, until then check out my costumes, and more importantly my shots of Morgan, Jessika and Hannah.

Oh yeah... and new thing regarding cons and Chiki: one epic costume and taking pictures all weekend of other people. Thats right people, Chiki is going to become a con photographer. I'm gonna do shoots mostly, of people I like (this means Adrienne, Hannah, Jessika, Morgan, Steph, and Hilaree will be getting most of my time). Oh yeah... and I can name three people I will NEVER shoot.

Now I'm looking into the future with my summer. Next week I'll be rocking out in Atlantic City with my parents. I now have four jobs and three photographers asking me for shoots.

Modeling? Perhaps! I mean I got a MM account because I was bored and three people have asked me for shoots in less than a week.

So pretty much this summer I'm kicking ass, taking names and making me some coin all while looking pretty damn hot.

Summer is shaping up to be epic lame, it better get better and fast.

Sorry about major surplus of deviations last night, I warned you about the art stuff... the shoot was an extra bonus!

So yeah, as of tomorrow at 12:30 I'm officially done with my Sophomore year of college! WOO HOO! Which means it is Animazement time, which is my favorite time of year! So Thursday I'm home. Friday I sleep in for the first time in forever then start sewing like it's my job, tanning so my pale legs won't blind poor bystanders at con, and fighting a cold. Fun stuff. I'm excited about my Mist costume, which I will be tackling second. Kairi is first, to be done this weekend! WHOA! I'm ordering a wig soon as I get paid on Friday- I ish poor.

So yeah... classes are over, and as of Thursday morning I'm back at home to sew like my life depends on it. The Kairi costume is getting finished by next weekend so Jessika and I can take shots and enter cosplay chess. I won't have my hair dyed but it's cool. I'm thinking about shopping for wigs. But I might not because Kairi in some pictures looks like more of a brunette than a red head and my hair is going to be brown on Saturday of AZ. See brown Kairi in the costume I'm doing: [link]

And I have to do a lighter brown for later in the day Saturday so I don't know. I guess I'll price wigs but I hate them so much! Well I guess this way I can be Kairi whenever without dying my hair, and I won't be wearing Kairi for very long. And I can probably dye my hair brown before AZ because I don't need to be a blonde all weekend. The idea of being a brunette again is scary and will promptly be remedied as soon as I get back.

I'm being preoccupied with friends when I need to be working on finals, when I get off work in two hours I'm going to book it on my Mixed Media projects, I need to get them done this week so I don't even have to think about that class. Photography project needs to be printed and I need music for my slideshow, I want a cover of an old song, or something along the lines of that to reinforce the idea of "modern icons".

My Mixed Media final is going to be the culmination of scrap fabric I've inherited over the years and tshirt transfers. I'm thinking a wall hanging to display photos in my room next year but also adding softness to the room. I'm gonna use alot of handsewing probably for a home made affect. And patches! I have too many patches and pins that I'm going to incorporate.

Fabric shopping on Friday, but I might do a bit when I'm in Johnson City on Wednesday waiting for the girl I babysit to get out of gymnastics.

Rawr... anyway, back to my boredom.

This evening I'm finishing up editing a DVD for Caitie's audition, sweet girl but not so tech saavy. Wednesday morning I'm heading up to Eagle's Nest to take some pictures of a multi million dollar house for work. I've borrowed the photography department's digital camera again to do that. I've decided because so many people have asked me to do head shots for them I'll start that next year and all the money I make from that will go into my saving's account for a nicer digital than I have. Not that I don't love my little blue point and shoot I'd like to have a camera for professional quality work. Cosplay photoshoots maybe? That would be fun! I told Steph that I'd take some shots of her at AZ, and of course Jessika, Hannah, Hil and Josh.

This summer Hilaree and Josh are coming to visit me and I'm gonna do a shoot with Hilaree, I gotta work with her before she's a famous model! Hil: [link]

I'm also hashing out plans with Jose for a shoot based on human rights violations.

So a whole lot of photography fun! I'll be pausing on any major photography projects after AZ (aside from when Hil and Josh visit) until school is back in session. Summer means 7 days a week of working my arse off, sewing, and collaging! I think I'm also going to be painting a bit more than just the Peter Pan piece. I'm getting an easel so Laura and I are going to sit on our porch next year and paint!

Colleen, Laura, Rachael and I have come up with some awesome plans for our village suite next year which will mean I get to do some collage work this summer! Laura is painting and Colleen will be doing vectors for the suite. We're going to have a jungle themed bathroom since it's HUGE! The bathroom will come complete with four turtles and my fish will be in the bathroom too! Our living room is going to be hippie/ bohemian themed. Perfect no? And of course our bedrooms will be whatever we want. So mine is all green, brown, blue and orange... I promise that works.

Well I'm off to do some sidewalk chalk drawings for Mountain Day.

In other news this week has been crazy but awesome! I've really gotten a new experience since the Wildfire dance students have been here. Abril is so sweet and I'm going to miss her so much. I've also been diligently working on my photography final and Relay for Life stuff. I do another shoot today with Laura and tonight is Relay!

Today I'm heading out of work at 3 pm to go shoot color slides of Jessika (she doesn't know this is happening yet). I will also be buying a wrist thingy for my keyboard because I'm developing carpal tunnel (YAY!). Ironic considering my chosen career revolves around a keyboard.

I'm not quite sure what's going on for AZ yet (I will try not to rant about how much I DISDAIN people >.> ) and honestly I don't care right now. I'd skip this year if I didn't have people relying on me for a ride and a hotel so I'm going to be a good friend and go.

My box project for mixed media is getting dismantled. I just don't like it anymore. I'm going with a new approach. The book project however is going swimmingly. I love tearing apart books and applying copious amounts of modge podge.

Perry (lovely chicka who lives next door) gave me an idea involving records and an oven that I'm dying to try out now.

I'm dropping off the film I took of "Swing!" today, so eventually you'll see those. I got some constants of Ashleigh doing an amazing back flip thingy.

I would like to state also in case it was evident that I no longer hate photography and I'm starting to look into a nice digital (not like my point and shoot) and I'm pondering getting into cosplay photography. I like working with people. I'm really excited about my shoot next week with Jessika, Charlie and Laura in the portrait studio. I'm still figuring some costume pieces and backdrops but it's going to be so much fun! My three best friends, photos, and playing dress up? YES!

I've also decided I'm going to paint this summer... yes, lets try yet another artistic medium. I already did the Alice screen and I have a Peter Pan one to do this summer I just thought I'd be fun to try and make some pretty pictures for my Suite next year.

The dress held up perfectly, no clothing malfunctions which is amazing because I was "gettin' low" and "dropping it like it's hot" (yes that is supposed to sound incredibly white).

Only about a month left of school which means Mixed Media final and a photography final that will problem end up here. Then it's back to the 7 days a week of working summer jobs and working on cosplay for Animazement.

I left Banner Elk on a rainy Wednesday afternoon and only got myself slightly lost while trying to find my way to BT's G-boro apartment. I did get there and we went bowling, watched a movie, talked and slept. Unfortunately I woke the next morning to find neither of the two alarm clocks I had set had gone off and I had missed my flight by one hour. I got another flight leaving at 7:30 pm but I had to stay all day in BT's apartment while he was at class. I took some epic naps yo.

Mallorie picked me up from the airport and we got ridiculously lost on the way into Boston. I missed the Purim ball with Sydney but it's okay. I got some great sleeping in. Nishi and Tiff arrived the next morning and we made a mad dash through the cold and wind while dressed as Disney Princesses (well Nishi and I were, Tiff was cleverly disguised as a convention photographer. When in the Hynes Convention Center we started the amazing task of standing in a line. This process started at 10:30 or 11:00 and didn't end until 9 pm that evening.

Yes. We stood in a line for registration that long. I stood alone in my pre- reg line for 4 hours before joining my friends in their line. In my line I was talked to by a nice guy from New Hampshire that liked to give me food.

When I finally joined my friends in their line I got to meet Henry the creator of American Cosplay Paradise or more commonly known as AC Paradise. He became our line buddy.

We of course had to come up with ways to entertain ourselves so we did shoots with Tiff in places outside of the line but still close enough. She got some really great shots I can't wait to see.

We encountered some crazy people however, including a group of "wiggers" or "weegros" that believe whole heartedly (because of 4chan apparently) that all Alice cosplayers are sluts. Well I was dressed like Alice so I'm getting cat calls and shit thrown at me while they try to get my attention. I walk directly up to them and say: "Just because I'm cosplaying Alice doesn't mean I'm going to give you con sex okay?!"
They shut up pretty damn quickly. I had to explain what con sex was to Sydney... her reaction looked like this: [link]

Another adventure involved infiltrating a group of boys for a cupcake stealing mission. Om nom nom. So this quickly turned into line truth or dare. The best product of this was when Nishi and I spotted a cute boy (om nom nom) wearing purple converse we dared Sydney to go talk to him.

Well purple chuck boy (Sean) and his friend Light Weight (Matt) jumped back in line just to chill with us. They were perfect gentleman, awesome company and they even got us animal crackers and carried Sydney's stuff.

After the line of DOOM Friday was pretty much shot because we had to get up so early to tackle hair and makeup. So we got food with the boys (Dunkin Donuts was a staple of my weekend), did a shoot with Tiffany, and then left for Syd's dorm.

The next morning I awoke to put on my costume then go back to bed because I had to wait on Sydney to do my makeup and hair. Which looked fierce. This is the only shot I personally have, which doesn't even show Syd's crazy ass headdress but we did a shoot with a very nice man named Kevin that works for a company that I cannot remember... But I'll have those as soon as they're up. This is my Amano Costume btw, and I loved it.

Yes, I'm thinking I'll go back if my "posse" of sorts is up for it. Mass Facebook thread was sent out this morning so I'll have a slight idea if this will happen by the end of this weekend I think.

My motivation for going to AWA is my lovely friend Laura, she wants to get into Cosplay but she can't make it to AZ this year and I can't bring anyone with me to Boston at this point. So we figured AWA! All summer to save and sew! AWA is not really my favorite con so I've invited some of my favorite people to make it so!

So I'm hoping all of that come to play because Laura really wants to go to a con and waiting until AZ rolls around again seems like a terrible waste.

As for the here and now, I'm still sewing frantically! Updated Alice and Luna are done! I have a progress shot of Luna in my scraps: [link] but progress only refers to the picture. It's done I just wasn't wearing everything.

Tonight before some major party time with Charlie I'll be sewing, last night during the DDR/ Karaoke Revolution party at Mason's I was sewing. I'm pretty much doomed to sewing beads and trim on until the very last minute on this Amano, but it will be worth it. I'm so proud of this costume! I hate having to work right now because I could get so much work done if I didn't!

After convention I'll be working my ass off to pay for the next: AZ!!!!! Favorite con EVAR! If I'm working for AZ it doesn't feel like work, which is amazing.

I have three summer jobs that amount to 7 days a week working (I will have no life, warning you now) but it'll be worth it for my CHQ trip and AWA. It's all about the adventures right?

Along with working three jobs I'm making purses to sell! I looked around my room the other day and was like: "I have a ridiculous amount of fabric left over from costumes/ past projects/ ect..." so why not?! It won't cost me a penny and I can make some extra cash for my projects.

And lastly not dealing with money at all: I promise I'll scan pictures from DC after Easter. I just have too much sewing and studying to do before then.

After Easter I am coordinating a book drive for Better World Books at my school. It's this great non profit that takes the books that schools won't buy back and donates to schools that need them, sells them online and also gives a portion of the proceeds to the organization that collects the books (Optimist Club woot!). Speaking of fund-raising I posted some of the posters I made for the Date Auction. The Auction was a HUGE success, we made over $600!!! I was so freaking proud. Ben (the president) and I were joking around that I'm the best fund-raising coordinator the club has ever had. I'm the only fund-raising coordinator we've had! Hahaha.

Well I've wasted enough time I need to make coloring pages now for my new job... thats the only thing I have to do today other than answering phones. It's going to be a long long day! Kinda glad that I get to use an actual talent of mine however, I can rock some Illustrator! I also plan on using this time to make Charlie a kick ass birthday card!

Yes I am retarded, thanks for noticing.

So this one isn't very hard at all and I was actually planning on doing it at some point anyway and since I have a group cosplay opportunity I might as well just do it! So my Sunday costume for Anime Boston is now: Luna Lovegood! Yay for some Harry Potter Action.

So I'm actually only missing the skirt and the patch I've ordered (cheating I know but I am not that skilled.) I think I'll make a wand too if I have time with everything else.

I'm doing just her simple around Hogwarts wear [link] because I don't have enough space in my suitcase for a robe, little alone the time to make one with my other costumes too!

So pretty much the only thing I need is to locate my skirt or make another one if I've misplaced it. Hopefully I can just find it so thats one less thing to do. Yes, it's mostly a closet cosplay but this character is amazing! It's going to be a perfect Sunday costume.

The second shoot is with Sydney ( ) and Nishi. We'll be wearing our Amano artwork costumes. I've been diligently working on mine and this will be so much easier now! My roommate and best friend numero dos moved downstairs so we'll both have more room. We're pretty much sharing each other's rooms though but this means I'll have much more room to sew and do art projects.

I never do progress shots of costumes usually but I might for this one because it's going so nicely!

I just wanted to share my excitement and now I'm going back to catching up on TV using my time at work (best job EVER). I've started watching Ouran Host Club and I think it may call for a Renge costume in the future, plus I have Steph [link] who makes an amazing Haruhi [link] ! We'd make a cute mini group if anything, though we'd probably have to incorporate more characters as well.

I hate photography.

So tomorrow I must rush to get another roll taken and developed between class and work. >.>

I like mixed media far more, I don't have to depend on any dated technological piece of equipment to successfully complete my homework.

I think my dad's camera hates me.

I just have to get through this course for the sake of my major... RAWR. I doubt much of that work will make it here since I have a horrible taste in my mouth for picture taking.

But at least there is collages right?

Yes I'm being dramatic, maybe this course will turn around for me but so far I've had terrible luck.

On a side note when I graduate Ben Hill my super awesome friend and I are gonna get studio space together somewhere fabulous like Savannah. He's pretty awesome at photography so at least one of us can take pictures. I really like the idea of that because we have all of our art courses together (except photography, maybe this is why I can't seem to get it right) and we really feed off of each other's creativity. It's an awesome thing. So whatever medium I decide to explore I have a good feeling about creatively collaborating with Ben. I'm starting to think that creating art pieces while working as a writer is a very desirable path to travel. But I guess we'll see.

And if I decide to not hate photography I'm getting myself a Holga... *drools over* I really like the shots better than from traditional 35 mm cameras. I think there can be some epic things created from one of those in my hands

This is the reader's digest version because I'm frustrated now.

I got a drawing tablet for Christmas and I've been playing with it, hence my last submission.

I'm super duper happy even though it's break! Things are just going well.

I'm trying to get my desk cleaned off so I can set my machine up and make a new tote bag- appliqued this time, and painted.

This next week is all I have for crafting at home until next semester. The next week I'll be at Jessika's house then back to the dorm. But I'm gonna use my machine more this semester, it's my new years resolution- to use my spare time more productively. And considering Chiki is once again a solo act (and pretty damn proud of it) I should have more spare time if my friends don't eat it all.

After this semester it's the start of costuming crunch time! 3 costumes for AZ, and man, the main one is very exciting, the group is going to be great!

So yeah, fun stuff. Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!

I'll be home on Thursday and I know I'm making my dad a quilt to cover his motorcycle this week, it's gonna be another Tshirt quilt made from all of his old vulgar tshirts. Maybe I'll take a picture but I don't think I'm going to be very proud of this one.

I plan on using this break to get into more sewing, maybe start my main costume for AZ but thats under wraps still so no progress pics for you! I really want to do more Tshirt reconstructions, like making a hoodie from a long sleeved tye dyed shirt saying: Let CATCH Color your World."

Well how about this, what should I do next? You let me know!

Other than that I'm loving this Digital Imaging project I've started, so check it out and leave the love. I'm looking forward to starting on some costumes after the break, but the main one for AZ this year is top secret! It's gonna be epic.

I'm good though, life is happy and mellow, I'm really looking forward to the immediate future, things are just getting very exciting!

GRRRRRR.

So yeah, as soon as tuesday gets here which is the due date (I hope it's done by then >.> then I will have more time to sew or draw or collage or doing anything that hopefully doesn't involve screen writing.

Until then I'm procrastinating because everything is far more appetizing than this failing at life option. And by life I mean screen writing.

I'm probably not making myself a halloween costume since I have a box full of them I've inherited. And full costume construction while in a dorm room and being too poor to buy any fabric is not the most attractive option.

7' x 9' Alice in Wonderland scene (of doom!)
- I started on this tonight, did the pencil sketches and such, it should be pretty epic.

Jewelry
- I have a bunch already made that I haven't taken pictures of plus findings and beads for more projects.

Dress
- Black and red striped jersey knit dress= YAY! I have all the supplies and pattern I've just been putting it off.

Drawings
- I plan to work on grid drawings more, especially with faces and such so I can get better at drawing. I'm planning on drawing my picture of Jessika I took ("Dabbling in Photography") as well as another surprise drawing.

Curtains
- I don't plan on actually posting them here but I have to make curtains for Laura and probably some other friends too, and for my own dorm room.

TShirt Recons
- I have three boxes of tshirts ready for reconstruction!

Clothing Reconstructions
-I also have a box full of clothes to hack up as well as some costumes I've recently obtained so I'm gonna recycle and make some fabulous things, probably dresses because I seem to be at a point in my summer where all I feel like wearing is dresses, this will probably extend until it gets too cold to wear them. I just have so many pretty ones!

Tshirt Quilts
-I have to make my dad's tshirt quilt which he is going to use to cover his motorcycle in the winter when it's at the fire dept. and my grandma's tshirt quilt.

Project Linus Blankets
- For Bonner hours, and who doesn't love helping a great charity?

Costumes
- these are more far off but I'm currently planning:
*Amy from Soul Calibur 3- if everything goes as planned this should be my group for AZ 2007 (with Bucky, Tif, Adam, Collin, Jessika, Travis, Hannah, Tali), and if not I'll probably do it anyway because I love the costume. I just haven't decided if I'll do a wig or dye my hair... probably dye. Wigs just don't curl that way as easily.

*Care Bear Lolita- This is Jessika's idea (yay jessika) and it seems like Hannah and I are jumping on the band wagon. We have obtained 3 technicolor awesome 80's tastic ho-down dresses that can easily be manipulated for our purpose. My dress is Green so I'm thinking good luck bear, but the dress is more Bashful Heart Bear colored. And wouldn't that be ironic? Hannah has claimed the pink dress so that leaves: love-a-lot bear, secret bear, or cheer bear. We got Jessika a blue dress because it would match her lovely eyes, and some other ho-down fantastic dresses that would fit her and be awesome.

*Chi- I just really want to do Chi again, especially if it fits with the cosplay chess theme. I'll basically do any costume to do that again, it was a lot of fun.

and looking back on things I had wanted to do in the past:

*Mayura from Alice 19th- still love the character but this was something I planned to do with Sarah and well yeah... not gonna happen now. It wouldn't be the same, so I'll probably for go this idea even though I actually had it started.

*Rabi-en-Rose from Digi Charat- not feeling the pink anymore, but I love the character. It may happen eventually but not anytime soon.

*Luttuce from Tokyo Mew Mew- Amber had wanted to do a Tokyo Mew Mew group for Anime Weekend Atlanta but I don't feel like planning a trip down to Atlanta, if someone else plans it, drives, and gets the room so all I have to do is pitch in money- sure! I always wanted to do Ichigo, but I changed my mind and thought it would be really cool to do Lettuce's costume.

Yeah, so lots of things on my to do list, and so much time to do it. Anything that will make this summer go faster is perfect. How many days till August 12?

40 days. Ouch.

I'm very impatient, I want to move back into my dorm, see all my campus friends again, reobtain freedom, stop babysitting, stop working at the chamber, and just get on with life. Summer has just blown this year and I'd like to just skip forward to fall.
Until then I'll sew, work, and hang out with friends in an effort to forget that I won't be going to Chautauqua this year >.> ]]> ~chiki-in-wonderland
