I realized something today.

I've only ever, in my entire life, cared about what other people thought of me.

how they would react if I said something I thought, or what they would think about what I was wearing.

I did things for their reactions, and I worried constantly that I would be stereotyped or labeled as something for my actions...which, FUNNY ENOUGH, most of the time were the complete opposite of the actions that came from the true me.

Take here, one of the many examples, my boyfriends friends; They always have fun, they are gamer geeks who take pride in acting out things that are interesting or funny in retarded ways.

its intelligent humor disguised as stupidity, which is what creates the hilarity.

they are NOT stupid people, and neither am I.

SO, I made the horribly SAD mistake to act this way as well in an attempt to have something in common to break ice. A 17 year old in a room of 21's.

I'm sorry to bring this to light to those of you that have always and probably still do think that age doesn't mean a thing, but it does.

In the eyes of a stranger, your age marks your maturity. If a 17 year old tells a retarded joke, it will never be the same as a 21 year old telling it, no matter how identical the telling of the joke is.

It's the way the mind of humanity works. Everyone is judgmental with the first impression, even me, and even you.

But most of all, my point to all this, is that I'm tired of caring what anyone else thinks.

I finally know now, that I just don't give a shit.

Honestly, I'll admit, as much of a C.S. Lewis nut as I am, I was kind of dreading Prince Caspian, but I finally went to see it yesterday with Illo.

I liked it, even though it wasn't entirely accurate.

Edmund is SO badass now! I love him to death! He had all the best lines.

...so yes, the movie has successfully knocked me out of my art block. Expect some serious Narnia fanart floodage soon! ^_~

Well, apparently all my friends and family decided it would be evily funny to tell me they werent going to make a big deal of my birthday and give me a few gifts to lower my suspicion before throwing confetti in my face a couple days later....I love you guys, I know I didn't seem all that enthused but I promise it was just the shock.

It really made me happy to see most of the people I care about all together and yelling "surprise!" and "Happy Birthday!" as I walked throught the door...I was just beginning to think my b-day was just another day...but you guys made it something happier...and I was so glad to spend it with you.

The first person who replies with "I know how you feeeel, happens to me ALLL THHEEE FREEEAKING TIIIIME WAAAHH WOE IS MEEE *SNIFF*" gets blocked from my page. If you plan on commenting, then read this whole thing, don't just skip it thinking I'm just talking about common art blocks, because I'm not and I will bite your head off.

If anything, this is just a rant.

I am so sick of this art block TYPE THING WHATEVER IT IS I'm on. I have no idea what happened, and I'm starting to wonder if its even an art block or if I'm just losing my love for art...period. Everytime I've sat down the past few months (to do one of my many projects that are way overdue and need to be done)...a sort of series of things happen:

First, I look at the paper, pencil in hand, ready to draw something I've wanted to for a while, the idea is clear in my mind and I know how to draw it.

Second, I begin to get bored after sketching out something simple E.g. a head, eye, mannequin, etc. that looks fine as it is.

Third I crumple up the paper and try and fail again to keep my interest in drawing the idea.

Then Fourth, I quit and feel like crying because I just simply dont. want. to. draw. Its not at all that I dont have the inspiration, ability or ideas to draw something good...I just dont want to. I dont know why. I mean, I've been through art blocks before...but this feels different, its like something has stripped the passion clean out of me.

I'm hoping this isn't anything serious....because from what I remember, I love to draw.

Months without drawing is driving my emotions up the wall. like I said, I've felt this way for a while...I'm not PMSing, its not distraction, and its not lack of ideas or ability. theres just no drive to do it. Its almost pointless to try anymore.

I want to love to draw again, cause if I dont...I predict I am going to be a pretty sad little girl.

If you have any ideas on how I can get it back, please tell...however please leave your "one time at band camp" art block stories out of it.

I don't doubt you've experienced something similar...I'd just rather not hear about it right now.

I'm posting this journal as a respect to those who died in the 9/11 terrorist attack, as well as their families, who unlike many will not for a single september forget what they lost.

Not all of you may care, you might not have remembered, or you might be crying too, if not on the outside but on the inside, whether you think so or not. It comes as a shock to me to remember what day it is every year since it happened.

Its finally happended...I can no longer keep track of my messages..holy wow, you guys, just, wow.

I have been kept busy now with requests, art trades, comments, favorites and the like...(and I'm not complaining, like most people told me I would be) Its not that I'm arrogant or bragging about it...I'm just glad to have something to do for once. So thank you guys.

No matter how busy I get though, I still am going to try to reply to most of your comments. I normally don't agree, nor support most portrayals of Christianity (based on what I've seen), I find alot of them too preachy, pushy, or 'hello-you're-going-to-hell-if you're-not-Christian-thank-you-very-much-you-filthy-sinner'. It usually annoys me or has little or no effect at all, I learn no lesson.

but...for some reason, this short by *JohnSu speaks to me, and on such an emotional level I can't help but cry no matter how many times I watch it. It is effective without being in-your-face and invading, you don't really have to believe in the religion to love it either I'm sure.

I'm not saying that you should go watch it, or that you are any less a person if you decide to ignore it, but here you go, my new favorite work of art, not just on deviant art, but anywhere. So If you're curious:

1. I am told I act...kitty-ish, for instance I am told I scratch my nose with the back of my hand similar to the way a cat licks their paw, I also nap curled up, I tend to scratch my head where my kitty ears usually are (on my hat), and I have an unhealthy liking for tuna, milk, catnip and shiny objects....no joke, I'm serious.

If you read my last journal (doubtful) then you would know that my close friend Charlie, won front row seat tickets and backstage passes (more like a meet and greet) to a John Mayer concert.

It was so awesome. When I walked in the that building..I was an admiring individual....but when I walked out, I...well...actually I dunno what I am now, but I don't think 'fan' quite covers it. But I'm amazed...for sure, I don't see how anyone could dislike him, and the next time I hear someone bash him...they are going to get a bloody nose.

Now, just be thankful I'm not one of the obnoxious fangirls that were in my row screaming "I love you John!" until all our ears bled.

Ahhh, what a wonderful week I've been having....I just got a new job, I'm moving into a new house (again) and my friend Charlie just won front row seat tickets and backstage passes to a John Mayer concert...

:3 fwee!!

Okay, I know not everyone likes John Mayer....as a matter of fact, anytime I've talked to someone about him they've all seemed to have disliked him. But I dont, and I can't wait to go! ^w^

It was so weird how it happend though, I kept telling Charlie to wake up in the morning and try and call the radio to win some tickets, y'know, there you have to be tenth caller and shit. Well...I get a call around 9:00am and I hear on the other end "I got it!" and then I hear him talking elsewhere and then "HELL YES!" ...at first I thought he was being mean and pulling some kind of prank on me for waking him up that same morning at 5:00am just to say "wakey wakey eggs and bakey" X3 when he's only supposed to get up at 6:30am...but no, we really got them, and it was a 1 out of 10 chance that we would. Then....to make things better, we had to pick on of three envelopes (giving away our tickets to choose) and the one we picked had the backstage passes in them (the other two had just the tickets or a CD) ^w^ so yay....I'm so happy.

An Eragon Prediction

I have just been to see Eragon, and the first thought that came to my mind, that I would surely be talking about in my DeviantArt journal was my prediction that soon, and I mean VERY soon, DA is going to be littered with yaoi Eragon/Murtagh cesty fanart, oh dear lord, fangirls everywhere will happily abandon their Harry/Draco obsessions and imediately start sketching out explicit dragon rider porn. Prepare for it, its going to happen all over the place, no doubt in my mind whatsoever.

and while I'm sure alot of the readers of this lovely book will be less than happy, the story of Eragon has now reached a new fanbase of movie goers, thus spreading the potential for another yaoi couple to satisfy their cravings for something new and interesting. So don't be surprised when it explodes all over our internet.

Anyway, as for my review, I loved the movie, it was entertaining and very interesting, I will more than likely be seeing the sequels in theaters as well.

People are really lazy sometimes, and I respect the people who see something that needs to be fixed, and do more than just cringe and give a sympathetic comment. I respect the people WHO TRY TO FIX IT.

Animals for food is alright with me, but killing that many animals inhumanely PER coat is stupid. I dunno about you, but sympathetic comments aren't enough.

I don't think I've ever laughed this hard at something so stupid...its long, but its funny, stupidly and randomly funny.

I was searching random Story Generators and I found and made this:

" It all started when our predictably heroic hero, Gackt, woke up in a imaginery desert. It was the second time it had happened. Feeling exceedingly displeased, Gackt poked a banana, thinking it would make him feel better (but as usual, it did not). Duly ecstatic about the looming crises, he realized that his beloved Hair Gel was missing! Immediately he called his so-called best friend, Kuro-san. Gackt had known Kuro-san for (plus or minus) 200,000 years, the majority of which were curious ones. Kuro-san was unique. She was clever though sometimes a little... insensitive. Gackt called her anyway, for the situation was urgent.

Kuro-san picked up to a very mad Gackt. Kuro-san calmly assured him that most disease-carrying chipmunks yawn before mating, yet legless puppies usually indiscriminately shudder *after* mating. She had no idea what that meant; she was only concerned with distracting Gackt. Why was Kuro-san trying to distract Gackt? Because she had snuck out from Gackt's with the Hair Gel only eleven days prior. It was a saucy little Hair Gel... how could she resist?

It didn't take long before Gackt got back to the subject at hand: his Hair Gel. Kuro-san sighed. Relunctantly, Kuro-san invited him over, assuring him they'd find the Hair Gel. Gackt grabbed his refrigerator and disembarked immediately. After hanging up the phone, Kuro-san realized that she was in trouble. She had to find a place to hide the Hair Gel and she had to do it aimlessly. She figured that if Gackt took the rice rocket, she had take at least eight minutes before Gackt would get there. But if he took the The Gackt-mobile? Then Kuro-san would be really screwed.

Before she could come up with any reasonable ideas, Kuro-san was interrupted by three stupid Chocobos that were lured by her Hair Gel. Kuro-san sighed; 'Not again', she thought. Feeling puzzled, she thoughtfully reached for her ninja star and aptly grabbed every last one of them. Apparently this was an adequate deterrent--the discouraged critters began to scurry back toward the fanstic pumpkin patch, squealing with discontent. She exhaled with relief. That's when she heard the The Gackt-mobile rolling up. It was Gackt.

As he pulled up, he felt a sense of urgency. He had had to make an unscheduled stop at IHOP to pick up a 12-pack of carrots, so he knew he was running late. With a quick leap, Gackt was out of the The Gackt-mobile and went explosively jaunting toward Kuro-san's front door. Meanwhile inside, Kuro-san was panicking. Not thinking, she tossed the Hair Gel into a box of rags and then slid the box behind her elephant. Kuro-san was displeased but at least the Hair Gel was concealed. The doorbell rang.

'Come in,' Kuro-san sassily purred. With a inept push, Gackt opened the door. 'Sorry for being late, but I was being chased by some oafish flaming idiot in a wannabe go-fast Civic,' he lied. 'It's fine,' Kuro-san assured him. Gackt took a seat right next to where Kuro-san had hidden the Hair Gel. Kuro-san sneezed trying unsuccessfully to hide her nervousness. 'Uhh, can I get you anything?' she blurted. But Gackt was distracted. A few unfulfilled decades later, Kuro-san noticed a pestering look on Gackt's face. Gackt slowly opened his mouth to speak.

'...What's that smell?'

Kuro-san felt a stabbing pain in her scalp when Gackt asked this. In a moment of disbelief, she realized that she had hidden the Hair Gel right by her oscillating fan. 'Wh-what? I don't smell anything..!' A lie. A funny-smelling look started to form on Gackt's face. He turned to notice a box that seemed clearly out of place. 'Th-th-those are just my grandma's dangerous oil-soaked rags from when she used to have pet venomous koalas. She, uh...dropped 'em by here earlier'. Gackt nodded with fake acknowledgement...then, before Kuro-san could react, Gackt skillfully lunged toward the box and opened it. The Hair Gel was plainly in view.

Gackt stared at Kuro-san for what what must've been eight hours. Before the all-seeing eyes of a perpetually displeased diety, Kuro-san groped wildly in Gackt's direction, clearly desperate. Gackt grabbed the Hair Gel and bolted for the door. It was locked. Kuro-san let out a flamboyant chuckle. 'If only you hadn't been so protective of that thing, none of this would have happe...

From the moment my hand slipped this beautiful book off the shelf I have been in love with it. It is without doubt that "Manga-Ka America" is my most favorite Art-related book that I own, and mostly because It features one of my favorite artists *Nashya in it, not to mention the beautiful cover:

mmmkay...I feel there is need to update.

Even though I'm sure no one really reads this anyway, but hey, lets be stupid. I'm stuck yet again on my grandmothers computer because guess what!....I'm moving.....again.

...but on the bright side I now have a job!! I sell chopped nuts ._. *gets out her knife*
so now I'll have money next year when I go to Jacon again ^^ and I'll be able to spend it all on Holly >3< (I luff yooou)
