Anyhoo, I'm taking full advantage of this journal post to talk more about Harry Potter.
So who's seen the 5th movie?????? 8DDDDD HAHA I saw it twice within 48 hours of the actual movie release lolololol!! And I want to see it a third time haha!! Gotta try and see it IMAX style 8) I seriously LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOved that movie to pieces, everything was great! Yeah yeah, they cut down a lot from the book, but honestly, that is the inevitable. I was really happy with how it turned out as a whole, and the actors/actresses in general have really grown! And DAMN IT OMG UMBRIDGE + LUNA WERE SO AMAZING HAHAHA and lol sorry non-slashers but um HAHA did anyone feel that intense snarryness !??? lol occlumency is love 8)

And sigh of course, obligatory sad post about HP7 book. I'm actually really... sad it is all coming to an end. It's too soon! Delay the book release to another year so we can keep speculating and reveling in the incompleteness of Harry Potter ! I just.. aHH! What on earth are we supposed to do after HP ends?! Read other books?! BLASPHEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd really love to come back to AX next year, possibly Fanime as well.
My brother drove the two of us down to LA in 5 hours, but in the last stretch of it all where it should have taken us 20 minutes, the traffic was so bad that it took us 2 hours to get through T___T; So we ended up not being able to finish registration before the con date and had to wait in the huge ass line on the first day.
I was so surprised by how crowded it was ! !! And the costumes were all so cool, I want to cosplay next year !! Maybe as a video game character ?? I think video game character designs tend to be really kickass *__*; wish I had bigger boobs though lol , I don't think I'd be able to pull off any characters without em ;_;
In the artist alley, I met some of my favorite artists !!!!!! Including , , , and !!!!!! they're all so cuuuuuuuute i wanted to die because I was so nervous meeting them XD I think I must have come off as weird lo l but oh well who cares IT WAS FUNNNNN !!!
I totally arted myself OUt at AX, it was so great I went by the copics booth to try out the markers since they're too expensive to buy myself lol and just.. drew so much *__* it was all so much fun !!
I also bought so much crap I didn't think I needed ^__________^;; I bought the ugliest cutest Domo-kun and a Rilakkuma plush ~ also bought the newest english release of Nodame Cantabile (6), a Harry Potter gen doujinshi, this year and last year's issue of BAAU, a cute little picture book by some artist's girlfriend, a bookmark from 8D, a Naruto doujinshi by and , and some pen nibs by deleter~ Ugh, I really should have bought that english Phoenix Wright doujinshi i saw T__T;; I'm really regretting that I didn't buy that last copy when I saw it ugashljgskgjalsg ! I also wish I bought a poster/print from... some unknown artist whose painty skills really floored me and the other HP doujinshi that I saw that was Sirius/James ;__; I hesitated because it was so expensive, but I really should have got it anyway ;__;

DUDE ! i watched howl's moving castle last night haha LOL HOWL. howl is my new favorite character ever. what a drama queen though i think i'm going to reiterate this here, but does anyone else really hate how miyazaki movies handle romance ? this applies to how i feel about clamp romance too, it's always so... superficial. like , it's always wham! we're in love, no explanation or progression towards anything it's just POOF perfect. the coupley dialogue is like.. so awkward that it hurts, and not like awkward in the uhehehhueheh hi what's your name but like awkward in that the dialogue just seems so random and out of place. what the hell no, real romance isn't like that you idiots lol . maybe i'm just being picky, but i'm honestly not satisified! but i guess you can't really squish in proper romance in a 2 hour movie that's preoccupied with other things ? my favorite miyazaki movie is still castle in the sky mmm. but whispers of the heart is by far my favorite ghibli :3 BUT WHATEVER the sheer awesomeness of howl has stolen my heart ldfajsjfmmmmmmmmm delicious :9

Um, yes. I sent my whole gallery to scraps, and I don't plan on resubmitting anything. Mainly because I would like to pseudo-leave DA . On an artistic level, I'm not incredibly proud of my work; I find myself wanting to imitate lots of better artists on DA, which can be good in the way I can experiment and learn more, but bad in the way I take away from my own style and originality. A few times, I have also caught myself thinking, "Will this piece be well received on DA? Probably not, I'd better not submit"--which is NEVERNEVER a good thing. Art should always be made for one's own self, I would think (unless you're Andy Warhol, but WHATEVS!! ), even if it is just pop nuggety anime-art that doesn't have much value other than its face value. I might submit something new here and there, but updates will be incredibly far and few between--please don't expect much from me from now on. The whole DA experience as of late has made me kinda sad, but not for the conventional "the favorite/comment system sucks" or "i hate getting crits, you guys suck" or anything like that. I have always appreciated every comment and favorite, no matter how many or how few I got on a certain piece, and I always acknowledge good crits (heehee, my anatomy is terrible ) while ignoring the bad (homophobic comments ).

Ummmmmmmm..... hehe, I'm so not being very articulate XD;; Um.. I guess..... the reason why I want to leave DA is that I really take everything to heart. Every time I see my overflowing mailbox that goes up to 80+ a day, I feel like I HAVE to respond to everything or else something terrible will happen, like that deviant wondering if I dislike him/her for not commenting ... or something.. stupid like that ;;;;;. I realize now that the way I was thinking is a little um..... egotistical? ;;;; I'm sure you guys can all survive without my silly comments, and lives don't hang in the balance

But anyways! even though I already realize commenting on every single deviation/journal/devwatch is unrealistic and unnecessary, I still feel I can't just continue being a part of DA without doing all that commenting. It would be really selfish on my part if I continued to submit deviations expecting comments and love when I myself would stop doing the same to others. And last but not least, KOENTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so impressed by her gallery!!!!!! Every little thing she does is mag~ic (no .. pun intended XD;? I confuse myself sometimes XD) I'm so charmed by her art~ Her art (which consists mainly of oekaki ) is fun, quirky, and SOLID. I can only wish that I would be that good~ Her art practically screams "PRO!!!!!!!!!" in every line!!~ And though she's half a year younger than me, I feel she's surpassed me in every art aspect!! It was AWESOME. I can't believe I had two of the best vacations ever one after the other like I just did XD Summer is GREAT!! ! I did so much on this vacation, it's not even funny~ not a single minute of it was wasted! I'll try not to babble too much about it XD

Anyways~ the reason why I went down there in the first place was for a journalism camp I had the option of going to~ It's offered to people who have been on Newspaper or Yearbook (I'm a yearbooker XD) for at least a year~ and at the camp they teach you about your respective field and things like that 13 kids from my school and my advisor went!! It was so much fun!!!! A limo came to pick us up from the airport to our hotel and vice versa on the first and last day~!! But those were the only times we got to ride on something like that during the whole trip XD the rest of the time we walked or used the subway! ♥ Speaking of subways, I saw lots of bums on my trip too @__@;; They made me sad when I saw them because they were so pathetic.. they would walk through the subway cars asking for money, and this one guy even walked around on his knees begging for money it was very sad. I wish I could've donated to them all but I only actually gave money to this one guy I saw at the park~ he was a street performer who did the whole silver-robotman thing~ people who are familiar with san francisco know exactly what I'm talking about XD It's like~ a dude who paints his his body silver and wears silver clothing and moves like a robot XD and yeah XD;;; I'm not sure if I'm explaining this right, but oh well XD

I also saw two broadway shows!! One was FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and the other was CHICAGO!! The fiddler on the roof show was actually for my camp thing The camp also set up a press conference for us and 3 of the actors in the musical before we saw the performance!! It was so cool and inspiring XD~ but there's one thing about the show that is a shame~ The guy who plays Tevye (spelling?) in the musical is usually played by Alfred Molina (spelling again?), which is the guy who plays Doc Oc (spelling yet again XD?) in Spiderman 2!! But for the performance we went to, his understudy played him @__@;;; apparently the premiere of Spiderman 2 was on the day we watched so @___@;; oh well!

Chicago was really fun too!! I loved the movie and was looking forward to the musical The girl who plays Roxie is so pretty!! And I found that she is also the hostess of the home improvement show 'Trading Spaces'.. anyone seen that? I saw it for the first time yesterday on the plane (OMG OUR PLANE HAD DIRECT TV!!! SO COOOOOOOOOL AND THEY GAVE FREE HEADPHONES AND SNACKS LIKE EVERY 5 MINUTES AND STUFF AND AAHHH SOO COOOLLL I LOVE JETBLUUUUUUEEE) Anyways~ the musical has alot more songs than the movie does for one thing~ And also! MARY SUNSHINE IS A MAN in the musical!! It was so freaky!! Okay, so in the musical, she's this really fat late middle agish lady~ and she has her own song where she explains that there is a "bit of good in everyone", which is relevant because it relates to how she believes Roxie~ And anyway, she sings it really opera-like in a very high yodelly voice which was really hard to understand. So at first I was like, ... ehh... wtf is up with this actress ewww > __<, 'cuz I really didn't like her voice too much. But then in the second to last scene in the courtroom where Billy Flynn defends Roxie, one of his defenses is like "don't believe everything you see"--and to prove this point he pulls off Mary Sunshine's dress and wig and EEW OMG I NEARLY DIED CUZ IT WAS SO BIZARRE BUT MARY SUNSHINE WAS A MAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN X____________________X SOO WEIRD X_________X !!!!!!!!! And then I understood why her voice was so off!! It was a guy singing falsetto (and quite well, now that I think of it)!!! X_______X;;;

I am retarded, and THE CARIBBEAN WAS AWESOME OMGOSH *_______________* That was the best vacation I have ever had (or remembered )!!!! And before I start rambling about how cool the caribbean was, I feel the need to say why I'm retarded For the longest time, I thought this vacation would be for 2 weeks, but it was only for one~ Silly dates confused me and I didn't bother to double check with my mom!!! So I had an overload of crap in my luggage and misinformed my friends~ I feel smart !
but aaaaaanyways~ I did so many things on my trip!! I went snorkelling and I got to feed FISHIES!! It was so cool, they were just swarming all around me I got freaked out a few times because I thought they would try to eat me but they didn't~ I also went PARASAILING!! *________* That is just one of the most amazing experiences of my life right there. First I got to ride on a jetski way way out in the beautiful caribbean ocean!! That was actually the scariest part of the whole experience cuz the thing was just going way fast and I had to hang on really tight so I wouldn't fall off @__@; And the actual parasailing part... aieeeeee..... it was brilliant ! It was like .. flying, floating? It was like.. a complete moment of PEACE--once you're up there, it's like everything just disappears from your mind and you just feel the moment. Just amazing
Um um there are a billion other things that happened on my trip, but those were the most interesting, I think I won't bore you with my stories~

I saw the midnight showing of POA, and it was a melange of both good and bad. Waiting in line was actually pretty fun--tons of my friends came and lots of people dressed up in HP costumes~ I got to take pictures with a few people whose costumes I thought were super cool and also! A news cast came!! It was pretty cool, some of my friends got to be interviewed
The movie was pretty good, I think--they've grown up SO MUCH!! *__* I almost didn't recognize the guy who played Neville AT ALL. It amuses me how these kids are practically going through puberty on the screen He looked pretty good in my opinion~ Hermione has gotten really cute too! When she came onto the screen, alot of people catcalled and then someone else yelled "JAILBAIT!!" @__@;;; and OMG THE GUY WHO PLAYED DRACO HAHAHAH LOVE SO HOT!!!!! He looks SO GOOD AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE his new hairstyle works so well!!!! and Ronnie was too cute ! One of my favorite scenes is when Harry is doing some work in bed and Ron wakes up mumbling about how the spiders are going to get him~ HEEHEHEE!! he was so cute and funny!!!
And heheheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, it was probably just me but there were slash hints EVERAYWHERE MUAHHAHAHHAHAHAAAAA!!! all of my friends kept commenting to me about all the harryxhermione and ronxhermione and dracoxhermione and so on and so forth parts, but i kept thinking how many siriusxremus and other slashy pairing hints there were... MUAHAHHAHAHAAAA i'm evil~
I think my favorite scene of the movie was probably the most useless and unnecessary, but it really warmed my heart. It's the scene where all the boys are gathered around in the bedroom/or common room and they're passing around candy and just having fun I really want to draw a picture of this scene when I have time
The biggest downer of the movie for me was how professor Lupin turned out. The voice really annoyed me, it was like.. ugnnngnnn and the moustache!! THE MOUSTACHE!! I cry so bad I kept thinking, "Its-a me-a! Mario!" But when I think about it, I think he looked more like a Luigi. I mean, they both even have the same "Lu" thing goin' on! Heheh, anyways~ Sirius wasn't as much of a disappointment~ he did a great job, I think Though my fangirlish dreams have been crushed again, because Sirius is significantly shorter than Remus Le sob!
One more thing to wrap this blab up--what was with that last scene?!?! I cracked up because it was so retarded and corny! The freeze frame on Harry's face.. ouch! Bad call, bad call!! But all in all, I had a good time~ and all HP fans must watch X3~!
