Greetings, ships mates. This is the user *lavabeast, a proud member, navi, and for the moment, temporary captains assistant. Lately, the participation in contests has been pretty pitiful, so I’ve whipped up a little something I hope gets the creative juices flowing.

:bulletred:Contest 5: Casting Call! (Official Start Date: March 1st)


Now, my loves, when you joined, you were told to pick an occupation and affiliation. You can’t honestly believe that was for nothing, can you? Of course not. Your task this time around is to design a character based on the information you supplied to this club.

:bulletred:Protocol


· The character must contain at least one element that is similar to you. No one wants a character that looks exactly like them, but remember, this character represents you. The similarity can be a small thing, if you like, such as the same hair or eye colour, or perhaps wearing the same style of eyeglasses or something.
· Your character must be in full uniform. To my knowledge, we do not have an official uniform, so simply make it a formal and utilitarian garment. Flowing gossamer skirts wouldn’t be too practical, after all.
· Pay attention to details of the canon. Adding in things such as Claudia testers will add a lot of flavour to your picture.
· Have fun. (OR ELSE.)

So. . .

I have 3 out of the 4 Spheres Art Books, which are Last Exile art books that Range Murata sold himself at conventions and things like that in Japan.

Hands down, they are chock full of pages and pages of concept sketches of Last Exile designs and characters. They also have a lot of cool Japanese writing on them which I can't read but still think looks cool (translation: they are in Japanese, but all the sketches are just gorgeous).

They are just. . .COOL!

So I have Spheres 1, Spheres Plus (#3) and Spheres Plus Plus (#4).

I am selling them.

I am letting the club know first since you guys can obviously appreciate something like that(can we say undying loyalty here? :D). Unfortunately if I let the whole set go for less than around $150 (shipping included in that price.) I would be losing more money than I already am. . .they are hard to find, especially 1 and 2, because they are older. I think I paid 100 bucks for 1 alone, yeah? GAH. Future Orders

As you can see we have our first disciplined and highly qualified member in . She is a valued member of the crew.

I thought this would be a good space to discuss some of the future goals of this club.

1. Love the skies
2. Love everything Last Exile
3. Complete numerous highly successful missions.

There will be lots of missions, oh yes, amongst ourselves and with/against other clubs (not necessarily Last Exile ones). They will involve a good deal of fan art and some really enjoyable experiences. There will also be galleries where we can exhibit all of our honorable awards and accomplishments.
