Eeek, I need a new CSS... more Spring-Summer like. Even though Spring's only a month away, I can sense it in the air! xD Oh, sunny days, here I come, and I'll start running on the roads again... *romantic sigh*

BUT AHEM. I am going to Buenos Aires, yeah. I gotta find out about universities (Plan A: ENERC, Plan B: ...that's why we're travelling, pretty much) and places to stay. I hope there is time left for visiting the cinema and animation libraries (Vanguardia Libros, omg), and the place where they sell tons of comics... Camelot Comics? Can't remember; the name was on the back of one of my Hellboy numbers xD (unfortunately, I only have two, so if I find the place I wanna buy at least 3 more. Gotta love Hellboy.)

If any of you argentinos know any good place where art stuff is sold, please tell me! (I wanna find markers... Don't think I'll find any copics, but Prismacolors would be nice, me thinks.)

I'VE JUST COME BACK FROM HBP... *dun dun duuun*

IT WAS PRETTY GOOD. 'Cept the ending; it definitely lacked emotion... and seriously, who cares about the Half Blood Prince? Not really important in this movie, is it? x)

The beginning and all the middle were great, but... what happenened to the Battle of Hogwarts? And Snape being all furious on Harry at the ending? (there was no "YOURFATHERWASANIDIOT,POTTAH") Also, nobody knew who the hell was Greyback... He was just there. Meh. Snape could've handled everything on his own x) ONE GOOD THING, THOUGH: Tom Felton's performance was totally canon 8DDD And Rupert was totally hot. Damn you Lav-Lav

The Ginny/Harry relationship was weird xD "Your shoelace!" ;D and WTF was that, when Bella appears at random and burns the Burrow? x'D So yeah, the Death Eaters may as well not had appeared; they barely did anything useful (apart from vandalism, lawl)

Slughorn was really cool, even if the moustache was missing xD Maybe he needed some... extra spice, idk. He was too kind for me x) Maybe the greediness; a bit moar plz! Also, Dumbledore and his personal questions about love... same with Hermione; when she talks about Ginny after Dumbledore died; so OOC. And Daniel and Emma cannot cry for the sake of their lives *facepalm*

QUIDDITCH = EPIC WIN.

Well, all in all, it was much better than OotP, but the ending lacked emotion (sadness, anger, frustration, hope and all that XD). :'D I'm definitely not mad xD Was worth watching it. And Rupeeeertbaaaaah

WELL, June's passing so quickly! I remember this day a week ago as if had happened yesterday o_o This definitely means winter's coming closer and closer here...

So, what's going on with me; next-next friday I'll be off to Buenos Aires, in order to investigate about colleges and all that's related to them. Plan A; enter ENERC, best university of the country in terms of cinematography, aaand... I have to investigate for a Plan B, since Direction in ENERC only takes about 10 students per year per career D: I'd tell you why, but I don't wanna bore you. In a nutshell, they only take the best. And I have faith in me.

In other real-life news (XD), school's exams have already started, and of course, as usual, I'm taking things relaxedly. Except for the day before the test, when I start to panic xD Actually, tomorrow is a day before a test, and I still haven't studied. And I just remembered it as I was writing this. Fuck.

Last friday ~juliann108 and I attented this costume party at the school dressed as vampires; Armand (Anne Rice books) and Elizabetha (Dracula movie), respectively. To be "more in character" (and for the lulz), I read Dracula... FAIL Elizabetha is from the movie, and I like the latter 100.000 times more than the book, for many reasons. I blame the time and period in which it was written Dracula is what it is for its interpretations. Oh well.

In art terms, I'm trying to do a bit of everything ; since I'm gonna open commissions next year, I thought this would be a good time to practice portraits and do other people's characters. You'll soon see some portraits appear in your inbox I'm also working on the story of my project, but I have a problem with the goddamn ending; in the tale, the stepmother [and sisters, but I deleted them for my version] is turned into ashes or something. But it's kinda crude and anti-pedagogical XD I'm still trying to solve it.
Also, I haven't done any serious animation for some time now D8 And I should get familiarized with 3D at least. Why the only type of animation in which I've done shorts [stop motion] is the least popular these days? x)

Well, I guess that's it OFF TO THE SHOWER! Another day of procastination awaits...

SHITE. My tablet's not working properly DDD8 Thing is, my sister installed her first and new Genius tablet. It seems that my Intuos doesn't like it and viceversa. And so, none of them work as they should. I tried unistalling the Genius but my Intuos still doesn't work! (I've also tried these combinations: rebooting PS, rebooting the tablet, rebooting the computer) It's like using a mouse... No sensivity D: Can anyone help me? I FEEL EMPTY AND I WANNA PAINT ;_;

In the end, I never deleted that last journal xD Don't ever take sth for granted when I say it lol But, anyway, SOME NEWS.

I've put some new objetives for me in terms of art Now that I'm able to make semi decent clothes (XD) I'll try something new... ANIMALZ AND BGS. *dramatic music* D:

So, thing is, I need animal skeletons. I made my basic list:

Lion, Fox, Deer, Goat, Dog/Wolf, Eagle/Hawk, Bear aaand I might've forgotten something. No reptiles because I prefer furry beings x) lawl

SO, if you happen to see any picture of any of those animals' skeletons, I'd appreciate if you sent me the link I've already started searching, but I could always do with a bit of help. As for backgrounds... Well, I can't ask for help with that xD I must learn by myself. As usual.

Also, I saw that most of you would read the comic thing in the poll xD But yeah, you deserve to know. If you've seen the Baba Yaga pictures I upload recently, you saw that I talked about this project of mine. Well... the goal is making a short movie OHOHOHO. YES.
So, by making the comic, it would be a way of trying to see if I can tell the story visually in a convincing way, and that you'd follow it. It's based on the popular russian tale of "Vassilisa the Beautiful", with a lot of my own twists. Because the story lacks a lot of details x_x So, tell me if you're interested

ANYWAY, atm I'm working in a gagstrip (got photoshop back; YEEHAAW!), featuring Harry and Dumbledore, started finishing (lol) my Harry painting aaaand nothing else. I guess I'll just erase all the other files and start from scratch. Because I need new stuff (except for the comics; I have the um, "scripts" from last year waiting to be sketched. And it's worth it! ). Also I'm starting a collab with Mysterious Sim... xD Sorry. It's top secret. I can only say is HP related.

And talking about that; how come when I post non-hp stuff you guys lose interest? I don't want you to fave; I want you to give me feedback. I don't care if you're brutally honest; I can't stand people who put "Critique Not Desired" and his/her work looks like crap. I wanna move forward, and to move forward I need you to tell me what you think in a constructive way, pointing out good and bad stuff of a picture. Even comics, yes. I've already figured out a way of creating decent word ballons/speach bubbles :/ And how to fit them in the image, not outside it (GAWD, WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING??? XD)

Second, I'd like to tell you that a deviant is leaving. I'm talking about the incredibly talented artist that is ~jennadelle. She's been in dA since 2002, and on the 1st of January she will delete all her stuff from her gallery and leave forever. She's amazing, so if you don't know her, this is the moment to look at her pictures. Jennadelle also left a file in her journa with all her gallery compressed. I've been watching her for some months, but never really explored her gallery in depth. Now I'm in a hurry saving all the stuff I like (and it's a lot) with my poor dial-up, lol. So, come on, this is your chance before she leaves!

Looking at so much art (and not only from hers) has made me think about my own art. I think I'm too disneyfied, harrypotterized, etc. My uncle warned about -or against?- this, and well, I feel the need to go to the next level (like a pokemon). I wanna go back to my roots and also explore other styles (my shading is too soft D8). I'm becoming red-pencil-dependant and it's scary. Really.
Lately I'm always feeling like "Uh, but I should've done this/that...", and it's normal and ok, because I'm growing and improving every day, but I'm just tired. Experimentation must begin. I'll use more the pen without the red pencil first, and I'll learn how to use watercolors. They'll be useful if I want to make a quick character design in the future, without having to go to Photoshop.

But before, I need to work out my legs for the beach xD I'm leaving for the 30th. Wish me luck! lawl

I finally, finally ended with my studies. I mean, I already have finished school, but I failed Biology (wonder why lmao) so I had to sit for the final exam.... which was today. Yay, I passed! Now I'm officially on SUMMAH VACATIONS!!! Woooh! *throws confetti and burns school papers* I've been singing Max Goofs' song in Goffy the Movie, lawl. Such a good film (I can relate to Max easily xD).

So much art to upload, so little time x) And I still have to finish stuff. OOOOH! *idea* ART COLLAB OFFERING, for somebody who likes to do backgrounds. Please? PURLEASE? Anyway, it just makes it easier, but I'll do them myself if I have to. Which is very probable.

Beedle the Bard: Je t'aime, Rowling. I love the small notes, especially Dumbledore's that say "Such as myself" xD I LOL'D. And also, I always wondered why didn't Hogwarts students do some theatrical representations for the festivities. I thought that maybe it was just something brittish people wouldn't do (for whatever reason), but Albus explained it all xDD Just... GENIUS. My fav tale was The Fountain of Fair Fortune. The tales are way better than internet summarized versions... they are... delightful, absolutely. AND BRUTUS MALFOY, bahaha... Thanks for being so awesome, Jo.

I still have another year of schoool. My last one. And I know what I'm going to study, yay! First, I'll start with Direction (in general), which are 4 years. After finishing that first year, I'll then start with Animation (3 years). I'll go to a state university for Direction, but I've got no choice with Animation. The few schools that exist are all private, and there's only one that provides a national degree and it's less expensive than the others, so I'll go there. Oh God... two careers at the same time. I'll have no life/money/sleeping/free time and I guess I'll consider myself lucky if I'm able to do any art for myself. Maybe I'm just overreacting, lawl.

I'M IN NEED OF A NOTEBOOK. But so far, I've only enough to buy half a tablet ¬¬ Also, I'm selling any original (even little -unpublished- Peter) from Old Gen Kids for 3 months of subscription. Cause I miss the cool journals and the fun polls j_j COME ON, HAVE MERCY.

LOVED THE PAIRINGS. I kinna like Mai now, because she showed her girly side and stopped being so depressing and cold xD Yeah, I'm fine with Zuko/Mai. Same with Kataang, though there was a lot of sexual tension between Zuko and Katara xDDD lmao, whut? I am a Zutarian. Well, I used to be, since my hopes of a zutarian kiss when Zuko is hurt by Azula in the Agni Kai and Katara heals him have vanished, lol. I'M CANON.
Also, love Suki and Sokka :3 Gotta admit I was a bit doubtful about them ending up together; was half-expecting something tragic to happen, like with Yue, BUT NAH (Sokka waiting for Suki in the tent, EPIC LOLZ.). And Toph... Toph is a laugh xD (and she fangirled Zuko, so we have something in common).

Shame Ursa didn't appear, btw ಠ_ಠ. Although Azula and the mirror was pretty intense. It showed us that Azula is a psycho with feelings x) Seriously, that girl needs a shrink And talking about intense moments... Iroh and Zuko's recounter = INTEEENSE. I nearly sniffed there; love when these two cry. That squeezed my heart a bit :3

Weeeeeelll... Before knowing about all that, I had actually written a journal:

Espiritual thing (xD yeah "withdrawal", "seclusion" or whut lol) was really good. We thought. A lot. Bad thing is that I came back with a cold, and it doesn't go away because I'm very irresponsible with my remedies; always forget when to take them, so I guess it'll go alone. Hopefully

I fell in love with John Rseznick AGAIN. Yes, xD. First time was with Treasure Planet, but the other day I saw City of Angels (the ending of Wings of Desire is BETTAH btw ¬¬ and then a special with songs that rocked in the 90s (T.T oh the nostalgy) in VH1 and I remembered... I have "Iris" video in CoA DVD! So a couple of days ago I downloaded the song and some more of the Goo Goo Dolls. Mmm, they're awesome. MOAR PLZ! If you can, download "Slide", it's such a beautiful song.

Many of my classmates and I are going to another city to have a time of peace and reflexion with some... "brothers" (again, have no idea of how to translate catholic terms or such xD). Hope that helps with my artblock and the stress (though the main reason for so many ppl going is to see a former director of our school that we all love.)

Been watching Treasure Planet's audiovisual comments. In the end my eyes looked like this -> O_O And what was worse, if I tried to imagine Harry, Jim appeared with short, kinna spiky hair, black robes and glasses *__* No sign of scar/green eyes, somehow. I'm TP infected. And I can't put on paper the exact thing I imagine.

Oh! And before I forget, :devmoony-l00ny: tagged to the 8 facts thing, so here it is:

1. I started getting more and more emotional with Disney Movies since I decided to become an animator. Dunno, even with the Bonus Material my eyes get all watery O_O
2. I ended writing No 1 and inmediatly had a deja vu. WTF.
3. The coolest comment I can get in a deviation -for me- is "you've made my day". It means a lot, seriously.
4. I worship Leo Da Vinci's anatomy works (mainly).
5. I cry mainly of anger and impotence, indignation and frustration, when an injustice has been commited to me or towards somebody I love.

7. Although James is my fav. marauder, the one I would marry would be Remus But I love them both ^^
8. I fucking hate this goddamn LSD screen... It has colors incoherence between what the pic's like in photoshop and how it looks in the visor ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ AAAAARGH. Well, actually I can; these like, 9 months I've been sitting compulsively in front of the computer making art. It's logical that my fitness didn't improve. I do have a waist, but... it's not what it used to be! x.x November last year it was 60 cm (lovely) and now it is 78... doom... Doom... I read this book (from 1983) by Florence Littauer called Personality Plus (Enriquezca su Personalidad, en castellano) and it talks about the 4 basic personalities of the human being, a theory made by Hipocrates (I think) thousands of years ago. The Phlegmatic, the Melancholic, the Sanguine and the Choleric. We all have a bit of them, but there are always 2 that are the strongest, the good things and the bad things of yourself, in that order. For example, I'm a Choleric-Melancholic (virtues-defects).
If you see it in a library, and you're interested in psichology, understanting people and that kind of stuff, I utterly recommend you reading it; it's not boring at all! The author makes it easy to understand for everybody with examples from daily life ^^

Another new for the CONTEST; you CAN send 2 ENTRIES. But if you do, they have to be one from Death Eaters and one from Marauders, NOT from the same subject.

Until now I have ONLY (hurry up suckers! xD) one entry and 6 or 7 contestants. Entries will be put in a folder I created (Contest Entries) so you can see them.
Because we're in a moment in which we all feel kinda lazy, I though of extend the deadline (July 31) a little bit. Maybe August 15? Sounds reasonable to me.
All the contest information is in the footer (the link!) of this journal And I may update it with teaspoon's info.

Whether you participate in the contest or not, it would be nice if you put in your journals or tell other people; last time I participated in a contest, it was *PottersLily who told me, and I got to know ~Lumosita -holder of the contest-, who is a great person, and we watch each other! The meaning of contest is not publicity, or kickass prizes, but to meet people and make friends!

1. There's still a year and a half for me before going to college.
2. I'm not taking animation courses.
3. Yes, I'm gonna go to ImageCampus after school, and my family and I are already making some plans because IC is quite expensive (not to mention life in Buenos Aires as a student)

Right, so, I managed to read some messages and see some deviations because I went to gentle ~juliann108's house and he has firefox, so I'm downloading it to see what happens. In the meanwhile, I'm still waiting for dA Admis' response of my problem.

When I opened my inbox I saw 102 favs and related, and I could only thank 40something, more or less. To the rest of the ppl, I'm sorry (actually, I feel a lil bad, but well...) but it could've lasted like 3 hours and the computer was not mine, so, THANKS A LOT.
Waifine, you requested James' animation as a print. But is an animation. Er... what's the point? lol Anyway, I can't sell stuff here until I get PayPal, and that's gonna be when I turn 18= in a year and a half

Winter Holidays have started, woooh! (AND I STILL CAN'T READ MY FUCKING MESSAGES NOR SEE MY DEVIATIONS IN WATCHLIST)

I have 2 spare weeks to make whatever I want. Ok, not exactly; I have to read a book for school, watch horror movies (I'm in a cinema workshop x3) and the best and worst at the same time: finish my tiring report of... History of Animation! Any good places you can recommend to look for information? (except Wikipedia, xD) I feel so lazy x.x

Things I need to do (apart from the others):

-Get some abs.
-Socialize more (LOL)
-Finish HP Art Project stuff.
-Sleep xD
-Win the lotery.
-Invent an incredible way of making money in order to buy a laptop.
-Walk 30 minutes consecutively every day

*looks up* This reminds me of Bridget Jones's Diary O.O (omg, I can't be acting like a 33-year-old! *curves into a ball with eyes wide open* nonono... this is called "organization" *breathes heavily*)

In other news, I abandoned ballet classes (booooriiiing) cause I decided I won't do the tap exam at the end of the year, and will just dance tap for the joy of it in the festival (though I won't be dancing celtic music, but rock... How unfair x.x)

Also, it LOOKS/SEEMS like I'm going to study animation at ImageCampus (which has "branches" all over the world. Check *ktshy's FAQ) in Buenos Aires. Unfortunately, Argentina doesn't have a state university/college of Animation, so I'll have to attend kind of a school = ImageCampus. And because it is international, you have to do dunno how many procedures to get a national degree or something like that (I'll have to find out more). The GOOD thing about it, is that I have to present a portfolio with all my works, HURRAY! I'll put some of my stop motion shorts, my digital shorts and I'll teach myself this year to animate drawn characters.
God gimme a hand.

1. An excellent artist (and person), both in traditional and digital art. She does a bit of everything -comics, illustrations,etc.- from HP, Twilight, LotR (and maybe any book that crosses her way, as she joked recently xD) to original pieces, in which she shows her amazing skills. She's also a great artisan, making lovely pieces in wood, metal and other materials. The best thing about her -apart from all that- is that she treats everybody nicely, trying to answer to every comment and making you feel special. If you don't stop by her gallery (if you don't know her already) you don't know what a treasure you are missing.



2. A true example of the victory of the spiritual above the material. Not that he makes religious stuff, but this is a guy that doesn't seem to think that pageviews and publicity are the most important, but to show your true self and try to improve. He doesn't make fanart; he publishes comics of his own characters; from one side, we have Jayden and Crusader, and in the other, we have Privateer. He also makes individual pictures and has nice ideas. Go visit him!



3. Imagination is actually one of the concepts that distinguish her gallery. She's done really cool works in traditional media; some of them seem to come out directly from her dreams, and she also makes some nice portraits ^^ My favorite from her features is the second one; it's great!
