I seem to have a penchant for disappearing from DeviantART for 2 years at a time.

Well here I am. A Cornish College of the Arts graduate. Ironically enough, with a Bachelor in Music, not art. Back when I started this DA account, I was planning on learning to become an illustrator and animator. But I've been learning, over the past 4 years or more, that trusting my hunches and notions tend to point me in the right direction.

Back then, 4 years ago, I decided to instead pursue a career in music composition. Being of one of my two main passions in life, music was little more than a hobby just like my art was as well. However, entering into Cornish was an extremely life-changing series of events. Not only did I prosper immensely in writing music, but I gained a bit of maturity I wouldn't have elsewhere. Earlier in the year I put together a full hour's concert of original music, performed both live, pre-recorded and featuring an 8-minute short film that I had created in its entirety. I can say without a doubt that I wouldn't have been able to accomplish that without the wealth of knowledge and experiences that the college provided me.

And so I say again, here I am. One of the perks that comes from being out of school, initially, is the abundant free time that suddenly makes itself apparent once the drudgery of homework dissapates. Yes, one has to work, make money, keep oneself healthy and sane... but there seems to be a freedom that comes with the ability to keep ones' own schedule and organize it however one sees fit.

Which leads into the topic of why exactly I'm reviving my DA page yet again. In this bit of free time that isn't occupied with work or music, I'm taking up the task of creating and cultivating the universe of my previously dead comic project: The Raven Box.

Back in highschool, I had started working on what was going to be a webcomic called The Raven Box.

I was collaborating with a friend of mine. We had developed the world, the main characters, some lore, and something like the first 20 pages of what exactly was going to happen. Since then, I've lost the detailed page ideas, but have mainly held onto all my artsy assets.

Basically I'm picking up the project again in my spare time, but totally revamping the whole thing. Giving the characters updated designs, etc.

So, look for the updates (3 already added) if you're interested in the project! Things will be rather slow-moving, so just be sure to bring your patience cap

P.S. -- If you're interested in anything of mine music-related, you can find lots of stuff at my website: [link]

Wow, I havn't updated my Deviant Art thang in *looks at last entry* almost 2 years! hahaha.. So sorries to folks that wanted to see more of my art m(_ _)m

See, I've been extremely busy in college. For those not in the know, I'm studying music composition at Cornish College of the Arts (Seattle, WA). This has been taking up so much of my time, and obviously I havn't been able to create anything worthy of posting here on Deviant Art since it's mainly visual art and writing, and I've been writing music. A bunch.

However, recently I've begun taking up my pencil again and have churned out two character sketches and finally a new piece. I think I'm getting back into the swing of things. Not guaranteeing more constant updates, but perhaps more new picts as the summer proceeds. Then, once school returns, I'm back into my usual dormancy.

I have recently been contacted by one "genesis within" on AiM, claiming that random people have said I am in affiliation with a "hacker" bent on bringing down DevArt.

If 'genesis within' truly works for Deviant Art, as he said, I'd like to put it out there that all these accusations are entirely false and I would enjoy knowing who these "random people" are that have accused me of this blatent lie. I do not know any hackers, and my love for devart such that I would never commit such an idiotic act.

Now, if 'genesis within' does not work for DevArt, then I have this to say to the true DevArt staff: This person has harassed me, posed as an official person, and in general frustrated me. I have removed my AiM handle from my Info because of such event, and should the true DevArt staff wish to contact me, please do so via the email I regestered with using an official @devart.com address so I know it is truly you.

I am an artist, and love all fellow artists. I wish nothing else but the best for DeviantART and all other galleries of its expertise.

Now for somthing completely different. I know I'm not exactly the best artist around, but I've been having a difficult time tryin' to think of stuff to draw lately.
I had hesitant feelings about getting an account here. It seems so many people are really great artists or photographers an' all, and I'm just kindof amateur at most things I do. Personally, I would love if DeviantART supported music, because that's what I do. But unfortunately not, hehe.. But I dabble in both art and photography, and I try me best, so I decided to come 'ere anyways..

And "hey!" to Callie and Ally! I know you guys are 'ere, don't hide >8|> Hehehe..
