But before the vacation, there are at least 4 class tests I have to sit for and my English oral exam is next Wednesday Apart from the academic shit, I have to (not only be the MC) but write out the script for my school's National Day celebrations. I never knew writing out scripts could be so hard Me and my friend (co-MC) couldn't even think of a suitable opening for the whole event and the most important segment, Talentime, after like 5 hours.

Tomorrow, Sunday, is my school's Food and Fun Fair. I'm in charge of the Darts booth I got ready a couple of posters to infest the walls of the school and if you're like around the area, do drop by Fuhua Secondary School! The whole thing starts at 9am and ends at 5pm. I'm gonna be there the whole day...I hope I get sick on Monday.

Today I went to see Fireworks outside the National Stadium where they were having the National Day Preview. It was AMAZING~ The fireworks are really, really pretty and I managed to take some shots with a CANON POWERSHOT A70 which belonged to my aunt's friend That camera is the shit. I'm so gonna save up to get that baby!!! Once I manage to get the pictures and videos (can't upload it on my computer...I don't have the software ), I'll post it here...if they turn out good

Another good news, I just got two new domains which I traded with my old domain, Heartbreaker39.org Yeah, I'm a domain whore and one amazing thing is that the person who gave me both the domains actually gave me 60gb of space and bandwith for BOTH of the domains which is like totally rad~

Well, sort of

On Wednesday, my Literature teacher picked me and my close friend to be under-study MCs. She gave us a script to read, I read and was chosen to be the MC for my school's official launch of the Health Fair 2004 on the next day, which was yesterday, along with another girl. It went so well and my Literature told me that my Vice Principal thought I was very, very good and he was like, "WHY DIDN'T YOU FIND HER EARLIER???"

Then today, I was told that there was a HUGE possibility that I might get a small part of the MC's script for my school's Cultural Night next Saturday. Then I read the script to this Literature/Drama teacher (let's call her Betty) and she was impressed. She said that I was a "natural" and had "colour in my voice"; very "dramatic and entertaining". And I got to have my small "debut" after the interval of my school's cultural night.

Even the main guy MC, who listened to me before the girl MC came, said that I could already replace her and I sounded sweeter but my Literature teacher was like "shh!" and glared at him.

Thing that MOST brought me to tears (well, not literally) was when she said that I was "ready and confident enough to go solo on stage".

I'm not trying to be a show off or anything and be like "Woo, I'm the best!" but all my life, no one complimented me SO WELL in front of people, you know?? I just called my mum, she was so happy for me and said she liked me doing these stuffs. She hasn't heard me doing MC stuffs so I told her to just attend the cultural night next Saturday <3

In case you want to know, it's going to be at the Singapore Polytechnic Convention Centre. Tickets six bucks each. The convention centre can house 1,200 people...about 1,100 people are already expected to attend. So wish me luck!!! I really do not wish to blunder...especially since I have to memorise the script.

Both my Literature teacher and Betty told me that I could expect more MC work for the rest of this year and next year, before they would leave me alone to retire (haha) when I'm in secondary 4 as I prepare for my 'O' Levels.

Isn't that good news?

Another good news, is that I WON FIRST PRIZE FOR THE POSTER-DESIGN COMPETITION !!! Remember that eye poster thing I submitted on DA recently? It won first and I got a $200 Optic Point Voucher, which means NEW SPECS FOR ME!!! WOOHOO~*~**~*

I'm so incredibly happy and hyper now plus I've been bumping into my crush a lot lately this week, after 1 whole week of not seeing him around.

Air rifle practice...I'm already one of the seniors...I have to oil the rifle, lock everything up...

And the presentation I was supposed to present on stage during assemble went well...teacher praised me and my friend and all.

My two poems got selected within the school to be submitted for the poetry competition.

I have to interview the top 'N' level and 'O' level students of my school for the school's newsletter.

Because of all this work I'm doing for the school, everyone knows my name. Teachers would look at me and be like, " Atiqah, right?". Once the principal asked the same thing and muttered, "Very good, very good". Uhm, yeah right. :/

But anyway, on a happier note...here're my shooting scores during practice today:

5 shots for each round

1st round: 23/50 (warming up)
2nd round: 31/50
3rd round: 36/50 (personal best)
4th round: 31/50

My teacher told me to aim for 40/50...which is an average of 8 points per shot @_@ She wants me to enter the shooting competitions with the school team this year and get into the top 4 nationwide.

The rifles there seem so...backdated...I prefer the school's rifles Training wasnt torture today...my coach was taking care of like 2-3 air rifle teams from different schools at one time. I only went for some dry-firing and 10 shots...and it took me 45 minutes from the country club back home. And you know what? My first time going home on my own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recently, when I went to McDonald's I saw on the menu that you could have an order of 6, 9 or 12 Chicken McNuggets. I asked for a half dozen nuggets. "We don't have half dozen nuggets," said the teenager at the counter. "You don't?" I replied. "We only have six, nine, or twelve," was the reply. "So I can't order a half-dozen nuggets, but I can order six?" "That's right." So I shook my head and ordered six McNuggets.

The paragraph above doesn't amaze me because of what happened a couple of months ago. I was checking out at the local Foodland with just a few items and the lady behind me put her things on the belt close to mine. I picked up one of those "dividers" that they keep by the cash register and placed it between our things so they wouldn't get mixed. After the girl had scanned all of my items, she picked up the "divider" looking it all over for the bar code so she could scan it. Not finding the bar code she said to me "Do you know how much this is?" and I said to her" I've changed my mind, I don't think I'll buy that today." She said "OK" and I paid her for the things and left. She had no clue to what had just happened..... MAKES YOU WONDER HOW THESE PEOPLE CAN SURVIVE!!!

A lady at work was seen putting a credit card into her floppy drive and pulling it out very quickly. When inquired as to what she was doing, she said she was shopping on the Internet and they kept asking for a credit card number, so she was using the ATM "thingy" .

Several years ago, we had an Intern who was none too swift. One day she was typing and turned to a secretary and said, "I'm almost out of typing paper. What do I do?" "Just use copier machine paper," the secretary told her. With that, the intern took her last remaining blank piece of paper, put it on the photocopier and proceeded to make five "blank" copies.

I was sitting in my science class, when the teacher commented that the next day would be the shortest day of the year. My lab partner became visibly excited, cheering and clapping. I explained to her that the amount of daylight changes, not the actual amount of time. Needless to say, she was very disappointed.

Police in Radnor, Pennsylvania, interrogated a suspect by placing a metal colander on his head and connecting it with wires to a photocopy machine. The message "He's lying" was placed in the copier, and police pressed the copy button each time they thought the suspect wasn't telling the truth. Believing the "lie detector" was working, the suspect confessed.

Aniwae, I'm working on a new personal site The website freak is back again! But I bet this is gonna take a long time...I've got other things to do which are more important than my website. x_x

I have to help out at the English booth tomorrow for my school's open house from 8am-12nn and then help out at the air rifle range from 12nn-1pm and after that I'm going home, then to my aunty's house and then we'll be going to the hairdresser to cut off my hair!!!!!!! Woohoo!!! It's been YEARS since I had short hair...I'm sick of having to tie up my hair before going to school It takes up time...and I wont have to wake up early in the morning just to wash and dry my hair anymore!

And I realised, now with quite a number of watchers, I'll have to submit only the best of my work! Ack! It's pressurising!!!........but I still all my guardian angels...

Oh well, I'm feeling REALLY tired today after the class outing. *sighs* Maybe it's because I'm fasting...but I've never felt so tired like this before when i did more tiring stuff. :shrugs: Perhaps I didnt eat enough this morning...I want to sleep........take a rest before the sun sets...



But I'll still be hanging around my computer...I'm sleeping with it.

Aniwae, I have to go to school at 1pm today to attend some briefing for my school's open house this saturday. Borrrrriiiinnnngggggg...So I'm going out for almost everyday of this week. I have a class outing on Thursday, I have to set up my booth on Friday and then there's the open house on Saturday. AND on saturday, I'm gonna cut my hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH, BABY!!!



And it's like how many watchers do I have now?? I'm SO touched...your comments and favs are really appreciated...and I feel so guilty...x_x I keep on saying I want to do something for you guys for helping me get 2K pageviews and all but I end up doing something else. I'm sorry...

Oh, and yesterday, I received a Sony catalogue and boy, were the prices high! It's disturbing how they advertise their stuff using the family concept...like the family will sit down in their living room and watch a HUGE tv costing around 16K with dvd players and speakers beside it.

And then they'll be in their room using their notebooks, computers, digital cameras, camcorders, printers, handphone all at one time. Then they'll be outdoors listening to their walkman/md players and then they go in the car and turn up their sony car stereo...

And you look at everything and then you'll be like, "Where the heck did they get all the money to get all those Sony products?????????????????"

So sometimes, you see...advertisements are not being realistic. Not everyone's rich, you know...
