I've actually been turning them down for over a year now, but I haven't actually announced it, its a hard decision to make as an artist to tell your customers "nope can't do it."

So this decision does not come lightly.  However, with my 3 kids, (7 months, 6 yrs (autistic), and 16) I just do not have the time between the kids and my business.  I am a mom/wife first, a vendor at Renderosity 2nd, and so a freelancing commissioned artist just doesn't seem to fit anymore.

Here is a few points of interest for anyone curious about my backgrounds:

1.  99% of the photos I use in my backgrounds I took myself.  Thats right, I went out into the woods and hiked for hours with my digital camera, and damn it was fun.  The other 1% of photos I use I purchased from Renderosity.com - there are a few stock packs up for sale and I have bought and used a couple photos that I heavily manipulated to fit my needs, following the sellers rules.  Credit was given in the readme.txt file.  I don't actually use photos that much.

...a special all digital contest that will run for two(2) months, inspired by the idea of world peace.  Its that simple.  You can make anything you want so long as its a digital work of art with the theme of "World Peace"!

Rules:
1. Please limit your entries to 3 per person.
2. Please think about the theme "World Peace" and interpret as you see fit, its a very open subject!
