Yes, I love Dir en grey. I like a lot of Jrock, but best of all I'm in love with Dir en grey.

I always ALWAYS daydream about Dir en grey, especially Kyo.

I haven't met Kyo personally *yet* but I will recount just a few of my tales of Dir en grey an' Me

It was a hot, summery summer day. Dir en grey was playing at Six Flags. No one had heard of them except the five others who were mashed up against the barrier five feet from the stage. For seven hours, we had stayed up there, gripping onto the barrier for dear life: saving our spot.

Then... it began.

G.D.S. sounded through the gigantic speakers. Deafening as the music was, I stayed strong. My eyes were wide open, and that's how they stayed. I wasn't going to forget any of it.

They entered the stage in their usual fashion (a'la Code of Vulgar[ism] DVD) and the crowd cheered. I cheered. I, who never makes a noise for ANYTHING, cheered.

The highlights: Kyo looked at me twice throughout their set, and my heart fluttered each time. He even smiled; Not at me, of course, but a small smirk was growing at the corner of his mouth at one point. Silly Kyo <3

I met Toshiya (the best bass player who's ever lived) and Die.

Toshiya smiled at the bracelet I made him.

.....

The rest was a blur. I mean, I remember it. But those are the things that have stuck with me even at my worst times. The soft, warm feeling inside my chest surges each time, no matter how upset or angry or sad I am.

<3 I've seen them a couple more times after that, but that's another story for another day <3

Ja ne~

Not sure what we all enjoy, but I'm pretty sure on this site it's Art.

Just an observation.

Anywho, my formal training in art is continuing. Grueling process it is, don't you know. In the beginning, my teacher found everything wrong with my drawings of cubes and such in 1 point and 2 point perspective. I have a problem drawing perfectly straight lines, you see. However, I never gave up! It was my plucky attitude that kept me going.

As we moved on to (finally) gesture drawings of branches and fabric and a fun still life featuring a murdered cow skull, my teacher's "compliment sandwich" turned into "compliment!!!!"

^^

*yyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwnnn*

Some new stuff is going to go up next week, (this week, as it were) so please stick around!

I'm finally taking formal drawing classes. We're just starting to use charcoal, so I thought I'd have some fun with it. Just two little deviations so far. Depending on response, I may do more.

The quickness in which I did these makes me skeptical to my own artistic talents, but I draw what I draw and I actually really like what I draw.

So, following that logic, I like me!

Kappa Joe: A brief profile.

Name: Kappa Joe
Sex : ?? None ??
Location: Various rivers and lakes, Japan
Favorite Color: Green
Favorite Past time: Fishing
Favorite Food: Cucumber

Kappa: A brief history.
An excerpt from "We Japanese"

"...Kappa has bobbed hair, with a bowl on its crown. So long as Kappa has water in its bowl it is very powerful and it can pull a horse into a river. When, however, it's bowl is dry, it is utterly powerless."

"... The accidental drowning of a boy in a stream was often, and still sometimes is, attributed to a mischieveous prank of Kappa, an amphibious biped, 2 or 3 feet high which is very fond of a human liver. We have ever so many stories, mostly incredible, told about this "fabulous" biped, which seems to understand the human language and is often inclined to believe in its existence in the past from the strange fact that many an authentic writer makes mention of this amphibian in his books. Kyushu, the insular provinces of the south, seems to have been much more abundant in kappa than anywhere else in the country."

Kappa Joe is a mostly silent friend to Haruko, a six year old who befriends Kappa Joe after her cat is mysteriously lost and is just as mysteriously found next to his home.

Kappa Joe calls Haruko "Haru-Haru" as he tends to only make various squawking noises and abbreviated words as sounds.

He is a dull individual who likes to nibble on different things he sets his mind to around his home. Haru-Haru always shouts, "No, Kappa Joe!" but alas is usually too late.

Kappa Joe gets very angry and will stomp his feet from time to time if his way is not met. He usually gets mad if he can't eat something or cannot catch any fish. His life is basically revolving around food and his best friend Haru-Haru.

Please enjoy my Kappa Joe comics, as they bring me much happiness to draw and color
