First is the Greatest Fear Contest.
Write a short story showing your greatest fear and what would happen if it were realized. i'm not interested in perfect grammer. But if it isn't atleast 'good' it will annoy me. Spelling isn't an issue either. I am more interested in the story line and the rhythem of the thing. It has to flow. If it doesn't, then it's a loss. Again, good grammer, good spelling, bad ass storytelling. The Quill and I have had a writing crew on Facebook for a while. This was an exercise that we had. It has had some really interesting outcomes. And peoples muses are working over time.
What will you win?

as far as Insanities Muse i have a couple of designs in mind. a couple of them are bad ass, others are just targeted towards friends at work. one of them is 'king of the double shift' which i have drawn out already and i'm going to upload it later. theres also a poster i'm working on for work which will kick ass. i'm taking pictures of people at work and i'm going to put the caption 'cheney night crew, cleaning everyone elses messes from 4 to 10'. the place i work at is called cheney. anything else i'm working on is secret. the previews will be shown here, the link given to the shirt. and cafe press also has this thing where they print your designs on thongs. so i'm making an image of my face with the caption 'i'll lick that' on it. yes. i prolly will too. and now for the commercial break.

ok what the fuck happened to what was supposed to take the place of the world trade center? wasn't the ground breaking ceremony about 3 years ago? and still nothing? what is that? i know that they don't want to make a wrong decision with the planning process because they are scared to offend the survivors and the family members of the people that have died but shit! as long as you make a space for people to remember they're loved ones everything is fine. seriously. all that stuff that accumulated on the fence there, that i visited during the ground breaking ceremony, that i looked at, where i teared up and actually cried at, if they take all that stuff and put it in a room framed and labeled, people will be fine. NO trees do not represent life. people don't need trees. people need a monument. no they don't need a reflective pool or a tower to takes it's place. we don't need a show that shows (ha) what happened in that day. we have seen the footage and heard the stories and what not. HISTORY CHANNEL CAN KISS MY ASS AND SO CAN THE GUY WHO MADE THE MOVIE. i love history channel but shit, people have to stop making shows, radio programs, merchandise about 9-11. stop whoring out the day that thousands of people died on for profit or ratings. the fact that oliver stone didn't give all the money he made with his movie to the 9/11 fund or whatever it's called shows that for a fact.
that day changed my hometown. and it's time to move on. we cannot do that until people stop using that day to make money. we want to move on, no we will never forget so leave us alone. or at least me.

1: Reading the Watchmen graphic novel in anticipation for the movie. i think i'll have to read this thing more than once in order to get my fix till the movie comes out. I bought it today at Barnes and Noble only because they didn't have it at Borders. It was $20. Buy it if you don't have it.
On top of that, the soundtrack is something else i can't wait for. I want the remixed version of 'The End Is The Beginning Is The End'. I think that would rule.

2: The short story book i have been planning on doing with my crew looks like it's actually going to happen. My boy Chris is a great writer, he has a page here you should check out.

He hasn't been on in a while but still check it out.

3: The Contest is almost up. I'll be putting the money away for the prizes in a bit and someone will get a sub. In about two weeks i'm going to show my appreciation to the judges. A couple of people that submitted wouldn't have if they didn't have cool people watching them. I just have to figure out how to do it.

Ok, seriously, i have seen some really bad art in my day. I was in an art class where the only good people in it were me and this other kid. That right there is saying a lot seeing as how i should improve a lot more. But then i saw THIS and was instantly dumbfounded. I started a forum post on this and then i got THIS sent to me by

WHY HAVE A SUB
Advantages to having a sub on DA as to not having one are extensive. I just got one and i will never go back to the free version again.
If you already have a sub, i'll still buy you the three months. Which means more money in your pocket. And, taking into consideration of how things are going in the US and everywhere else, is a good thing.

My merry crew of judges and I will look them through and pick the winners.
First place will get a three month sub and second will get a one month sub.
The contest?
Show me and everyone else your true self. Draw yourself as you are and add anything that shows what you see yourself as. You have to draw yourself accurately. But you can add whatever you want.
For example, i like Green Lantern, so i would be wearing a Green Lantern shirt. I love music so my iPod and headphones are on. I like drawing mechas so i gave myself a mecha arm. I always wear a certain necklace that i never take off so i drew it on and so on. Whatever you have, wear or whatever that describe you, you can add it. But keep the way you look (ex. face, body type) mostly realistic. The background, however, can be anything.
The contest will be open for a month. So the contest opens officially on July 5th and will be closed on August 6th.
The entries will be judged by six people so that no one is overly biased. They will be judged on creativity, realism and faves. But, even though i will be counting faves, the opinions of the judges, myself included, are what matters.
This is not the only contest i'm going to host, another one will be coming around in three or four months with another theme.

WOO! yeah...um..yeah. First contest by CreativitySucks on Deviant. I should have done this a long time ago. I have been here since 2003, wait, yeah, i'm pretty sure that it was 2003. Anyway, the contest will be, i hope, unlike any other. The whole concept of the contest is to show everyone they're true selves.
The Deviation will have to be an accurate portrait of the person submitting it but it will have to have different things that show who they see themselves as and what they like.
