I’m a recent academic graduate (anthropology) and a full time artist.  I’ve been schooled in art critique but am a self taught sculptor.  I work in all different clays and mediums for my sculpture, favoring those which are lighter on my hands and lighter on the earth in their production.  All sculpting and detailing is done with my hands as I’ve never liked tools.  I colour finished works with liquid acrylic, water based oil paints or natural stains.  Inspiration comes from original sources, mostly personal relationships with plants and animals and a more generalized fascination with the images of science and disc ]]>
