Its only been two days and I feel weird. Like I'm forgetting something somewhere. It doesn't help that I haven't heard a word for two days. It makes my imagination pick up, even though i'm sure everything is fine.
I know how to divert my attention from the constant swirl of memories, but I don't always feel like ignoring them. I want to relive those moments.
I can't wait until I hear from you.

Ok on to less self discovery. My winter camping trip ended in a blizzard. But me and my group returned safely, thanks to the amazing driving skills of one of our party, who knew exactly how to handle an icey road covered in powdery snow. Also thanks to him, we had dry firewood, enough cooking utensils, and basically a more wonderfully planned trip! Thanks!

My grades are up, I'm applying to grad school, low on cash and loving my life! Things seem down but I feel more alive than ever, so i must be doing something right!

Classes are murdering me, thank god for weekends. Sorry about the lack of stuff thats new and experimental and awesome, i just haven't had time to do a formal set for awhile. I'll look for time though, don't worry!

Quantitative statistical analysis is beginning to make sense, skeleton study is becoming fun again, and good friends are getting even better. Things are looking up, and I'm very grateful for it.

Just goes to show that even when it rains, the sun is still shining behind the clouds. One only has to weather the storm to see it again.

Lets just say sometimes white lies should stay lies. I am now an advocate of the honest truth for everything, no exceptions. But, in the case of my insane screw up, i should have just kept my mouth shut. Oh, I'm not saying I wished we were still together, I just wish I had been less cruel. I wish we could have been friends, not just disappear into nothing all of a sudden. I forget sometimes that we are not on speaking terms. it really sucks. But, life goes on, and I have learned a lot from this experience. I hope in time he can forgive me. I've already forgiven him.

Aside from me torturing myself romantically, i'm doing it mentally too. I signed up for graduate level courses as an undergrad and am feeling the pain of frustration. Quantitative statistical analysis just doesn't seem like a good idea at the moment, not to mention the memorization of the skeletal formations of the Kingdom mammalia, and all of the "missing links" in the evolutionary chain between apes and human. Oh, not to mention also the huge accessioning project i have to do for an archaeological site which hasn't been looked at since it was excavated in 1989... thanks lazy archaeologist for leaving your work for me....
On a happier note, i get to see all my friends and make new ones! This i am excited for, and makes everything else bother me less! Thank goodness for good friends!
Ok I'm done bitching and moaning for now. I'll put up what shoots I have left on my camera and hopefully come up with some new ones, and also perhaps some new models!

Anyways, i have a ton of pictures from my trip that i might be posting! lovely scenery, and lovely people!
Also, i have a question thar need to be put to a vote. My deviantion, 'Frozen Flame' [link] , is my most popular piece. There has been a few suggestions that i edit out the irish penants on the corset. IPs are the little fringies, or loose threads at the end of the stitch line. There are a few rather distarcting ones on the corset in the photograph. So, Shall i be rid of them via PS or should i leave them in bvecause they add to the feeling of the photo? i really don't mind them (or really care) but if i want a better photo, i trust your judgement on this one.
back to reality i'm afraid. Not much time or effort to be had on DA i'm guessing for awhile. i'll will be checking my messages for sure though. see you all in the spring!

Tattoo Contest!

I want a tatto of a bird. It will be on my hip.
But what type of bird and what should it look like??
If you can draw tattoos or birds, please enter this contest.
The type i had in mind was a crow or raven but i am open to other suggestions.

Whoever has the best design will get:
1) thier design tattooed on my hip

But what type of bird and what should it look like??
If you can draw tattoo or birds, please enter this contest.
The type i had in mind was a crow or raven but i am open to other suggestions.

Whoever has the best design will get:

1) thier design tattooed on my hip
2) if you have a print account, make your design a print and i'll buy it. if you don't have a print account, we'll work something out.

This contest is tricky because i may not pick anything. But i am having no luck searching books and the net for the bird i want!

Still dont have what i want and it will take a miracle or a blessing or somthing to give it to me, but another option is to wait. i have chosen to go with option number 3. i'm good at waiting. i feel like i've been waiting all my life. not sure for what the entire time but now i'm sure on this. i really dont care what others think. someone does but that's ok, whatever they feel is also very important. i hope to goddess this is the real thing. i've been on goose chases before and they have lead to my ruin. i really don't want to have to pick up the pieces of my heart off the floor and stitch them back together again. I'm a wolf (reference to "Moonstruck"), and that's all there is to it. i can wait as long as i have to, but i might not want to. i may just make a move and see what happens.

Thank god for SNL and Dane Cook. i might have comitted suicide! No, i'm kidding, i'm not that far gone. I'm still just not finding my silver lining. oh well, i'm sure i'll either find or get over it....eventually.
yep, so a new deviation from me is in the making. it's the first (in my opinion) good manipulation i have done using my own stock anda hell of a lot of patience. i used sxc.hu for the first time, and paints in photostudio. i also used a bit of my new stock which will be posted after i submit the work.
this piece means a lot to me. You'll see why when it's up!
