I did pretty well in school last quarter...well, 2 A's, one B+ and one D. This quarter I'm taking biology, hard surface/organic modeling, animal anatomy for animators, pre-production team and 2D animation studio. Neat!

I haven't had much time to do art these past few months. I did well in all my classes, though! Hopefully I will be drawing sometime over break, and I'll have my computer in a week or so, so I can start on more Flash games and such.

Another thing is anime style art...the thing about anime art is, the majority of it is pure crap...but when it looks good, it looks GOOD. I really love bishoujo art (pretty anime girls...like think of the art posters for Aquarian Age) and I so badly want to be able to do that style. It's freakin hard though...it defies everything I know about anatomy and proportions. =x

Yet another thing that concerns me is my general lack of ability to do a pose more complicated than "face forward, stand/sit there"... I should probably look for more reference, eh?

On to the point: today I also discovered pixel art. I've been meaning to try it for awhile now and I finally started. After a few shakey attempts, I got the hang of it and now I'm completely addicted. So far I'm doing avatars, hopefully later I'll start working on more complex stuff.

For the time being, does anyone have any avatar requests? I figure I'll do it for free if you don't mind it being up for anyone to use, and for $5 each (or more if it's complex) if you want it only for your use. If you use any avatars I make, please credit and link to my page somewhere in yours.
