Yesterday my thermometer showed -25°C (that's -13° to you Fahrenheit adherents). Other parts of Norway experienced temperatures below -40°. Today it's only a balmy -16°C. But tomorrow it's predicted to drop down below -20° again.

The news is telling me that almost half of Britain didn't turn up at work yesterday due to snow. And across Europe, China and America there are major problems because of the cold and the snow. The so-called "experts" are now telling us to expect several years with cold winters. Where is this global warming I keep hearing about?

I think it's fitting that my hundredth journal is written on the last day of the decade. A decade that has not been without it's ups and downs. But I'm finishing it with a positive outlook for the next.

I won't be doing much celebrating tonight, though. I'll see the new year in in peace and quite with something good to eat and drink. And I'll use the weekend to relax and prepare for next year. Which hopefully is going to be interesting both professional and personal.

At least I had the wit to change to snow tires on my car yesterday. :phew:

Update. New errors following.

I've given up trying to make themes for the G900. There are just too many elements, and the Themes Creator is too flawed to get the result I expect. And I don't want to do them by hand. That's just too much work (and I'm a lazy). :P

The phone itself is not growing on me either. I'll never get used to the laggy OS. :(

Consequently I've ordered a W595. Damnit! I need something I can understand. =P

I'm also considering whether I'm going to continue uploading my themes on dA. It might be just me, but lately it seems to be little interest in the cell phone themes category. Haven't seen a DD for a (SE) theme in many months, for instance.

In other news; taking my daughter to see "Mamma Mia" at the cinema tomorrow. It has got some very nice reviews, so looking forward to that.
Edit: We both agree. It's a great movie. How can it not be? It's basically a hour and a half of ABBA's greatest hits. A nice and fun story, and great actors, too. A proper feel-good-movie. Wholly recommended! :thumbsup:

I'm not making any new themes at the moment. But who knows, inspiration might strike when you least expect it. :D

And boy, does movies on DVD look better on this than my old 26" CRT. I also bought a new DVD player with HDMI and upscaling together with the TV.

The only downside is that analog TV-signals look rather poor now. Guess I'll have to invest in a digital decoder also. :(

My car
The car has got a new exhaust pipe and sound is much improved, and I'm a happy motorist again. So long as I don't think about the costs of driving an old junker. :P

Nice and sunny for the last few days. And it's going to keep for yet some days according to the forecast.

My car

..needs new tires.
With spring here I really need to get a new set of summer tires for my car. It's not a good idea to be driving around on snow tires any more. Thankfully I'm not strapped for cash. So next week I'll be getting myself a set of Dunlop Sportmax'es for the old Toyota. :)
