This takes place at the Eastern Edge gallery on the waterfront, i might take a break to see what ships are in :3

24 hours of Visual and Audible arts!

and everything is FOR SALE! that's right, everything being worked will be silently auctioned off while the artists work!

I've seen people do amazing oil paintings or rocks, a guitar made from beer bottle caps, and a booklet filled with hearts, drawn by almost every artist at the marathon!

some people even sold songs they worked on all night!

last year there was a really cute girl making a quilt of a Giant Squid eating a small town! XD

There was a metal Working Shop, a Graffiti artist, Clothes being made on the spot, sculptors, pop artists, Indie artist, Punk artists, and everything 83~

my favorite part, is looking at all the variety ~<3
and talking to other artists :3

I'm not a fancy style artist, but its really nice to do Comic stile stuff and still get Respect.

So yeah, I'll be down there at 3- 3:30 om, and wearing my Convention Badges :3

oh, and my mouse puppet Guss will be with me :3 (he complains, but when there's nothing else around to use as a pillow, he works great.)

*waves* I'm both really excited and really nervous X3

in previous years i have ended up having to leave due to immense stomach pains. (last year i found out i have an allergy to the artificial sweetener they use in flavored water, year before that, i had a Sub sammich from Mr. Sub, that made me intensely ill (possible small bout with food poisoning).

a little while ago, me and my friend found out how true this was.

while in the middle of a drive to Lester's Farm, we passed by Bowering Park. When randomly a MOOSE runs across the street and headed towards the nearby park. XD

now, its not quite an Urban center, but its not the wilderness either XD

back in Jr High an Highschool i used to watch Gundam Wing.

Recently while house sitting for a friend, i used highspeed internet to DL the entire series, plus the endless waltz OVA 83~

it has both English and Japanese audio.

and the Japanese voice acting was so much better and far more suiting~ but the English subtitles are.... incomplete in some places. "load the Taurus suits onto the Transpo" (should say transport)

entire words where cut in half in some places, or lacking in others ;_;

but its not hard to figure out what they mean so no loss 83~


in anycase, out of all the Gundam series i've seen, this was me favorite. alot of people had trouble following it it seems, but i blame that on the fact its a show you need to see every episode start to finish x3

plus i loved the animation~

anyhow, i'm pondering the idea of putting together Artists retreat here in Newfoundland.

camping out in the wilderness with other artists, There would be Classes (from scenery drawing to life drawing models), campfires, a chance to meet other artists!

plus, theirs a chance to learn from each other, and meet up with other artists

well, i was thinking about pitching the idea similar to what MUN does.

it offers "continued education courses" where people pay small fee's to take courses,

a local big name artists actually put together a painting course at a lighthouse where he used to live, and the idea is they go up there one day the week and he teaches how he paints.

except I'm thinking a 4 day weekend things X3

the idea needs more working out x3

1) Occasionally, i carry around a white mouse puppet named Guss, he is very surly and rude. He also swears alot. Oh and he has a little puppet of his own named Marmalade.
2) The top of my 2nd computer monitor is covered in plushies/plush creatures.
3) I fight hoards of ants with tape of all sorts when they attempt to assault my room.
4) I find it odd that I can still be mistaken for a girl... I know the Hair may be to blame... but what about my beard?

List ten things about your art, then tag ten people to do the same.

1) I normally visualize an entire scene of events before starting a picture, and pick a part of that scene to draw.

2) Music is Important to me, I do my best work while listening to music.

3) I draw/colour Most of my art on a clipboard, while sitting in front of my compytron

4) I Rarely take a break when I'm drawing/coloring something.

5) I'll draw till i lose feeling in my thumb, and then keep drawing still.

6) Unless i have a deadline, I'm pretty damn lazy, if I DO have a deadline, I work like a dog.

7) its Cowtatoie, Cowtatos tend to appear on my sketches ._.;
when that happens i have to start all over again, as i cannot bear to erase a cowtato.

8) I'm most artisticly productive, when I'm suppose to be doing something else... like study, or taking down notes (thankfully i don't have to do either anymore)

9) A cup of hot tea makes me feel like drawing.

10) looking at the art of others really inspires me, and no longer makes me feel like an inferior artist :3

I'm back from the 24 hour art marathon at the eastern Edge Gallery and downtown St. John's.
well, i was back early last night due to illness and migraine.
that made me sad
but I worked on my picture for the full time I was there, which is the good news.
and managed to finish.
It should be up for bids/display should anyone want to take a look a it.
Its at the eastern Edge gallery, Harbor side.

Its a colorful picture done in Pen, Marker and Led's. and probably cost me more to make then it will sell for ^_^;
Its of two rats sitting cliff side overlooking a very green valley.
Ones brown the other is a hooded rat (gray hood)

But i think its inspired me to do some pictures based on the two rats i drew.


i wish i never got sick this time =<

its been a little bit of a tough an stressful week.
to add to it... i over cooked our supper today, and the bag of potatoes we got appears to be gone bad, their all cut up and moldy.

my eye has been twitchie and swollen feeling all week, proally time to see an optometrist about that, proally just stress.
